?Drove past popular local playground a few minutes ago.
There were a number of children playing on the equipment.

🙂

One of the interesting things about this new fascism is the local reserve I like to walk around every other day suddenly has had people in it. Thirty years of no people, now people. Amazing how being told to stay at home and veg in front of screens enthuses families into going out to “exercise”. Two families yesterday, they seemed to be having a great time. I did too, since there was a new pied butcherbird pair who’d just moved in to that area, I got one to come down to collect a bit of mince of the ground. Bit hard on the resident grey butcherbird though, who is very tame. He wasn’t around, probably due to the interlopers (avian, not human).

From PJ Media
There were essentially three called strikes against him, all that was needed to count him out.
1.He was not “presidential.” He was considered crude in speech, rough-hewn in manner, and given over to bluster and hyperbole unbefitting the highest office in the land. For these transgressions, he could not be forgiven.
2.He was an outsider, the first president in American history with no military or political experience. He was not a politician, a general, a lawyer, or a holder of public office. He was never a member of the Beltway club, whether Republicrats or Democrats. He was not followed by a train of professional lobbyists, owed no political debts, did not accept a salary, and did not enrich himself when in power. For these transgressions, he could not be forgiven.
3.He was competent and proudly patriotic. He put America first, cutting taxes, renegotiating bad trade deals to the nation’s advantage, reducing a red-tape regulatory nightmare, making the country energy-independent and a net exporter of energy, rebuilding the military, defending the southern border, re-establishing global prominence, and connecting with the commons. For such transgressions, he could not be forgiven.

The political establishment, especially to DC abomination, does not like competent, practical achievers.

Strange how we need to show evidence of a problem, not evidence of safety. There is no long term evidence of safety. The mainstream media the biggest propagator of fake news, is now we are led to believe, the only source of truth.

I was quite impressed today during the YouTube Mass that our local parish priest was scathing about the media, calling them government propaganda organs and that they should be ignored.

Seeing what is the media’s attitude to churches I should not be surprised.

The bugmen of the left want power and to expand exponentially their domains of bureaucratic control over our lives. Possibly only another major war will clean out these dregs so we can start again

The right let us take control of the main means of influencing a population. We gladly swept through the public service, education and the media, so it was easy to dominate digital mediums because of the lessons we learnt. I was surprised at how easy it was. I’m not sure why the right capitulated so easily. Perhaps the right wasn’t paying attention, or being too busy appearing erudite and profound. Perhaps the right should have paid attention to the 30 points IQ gap idea. Whatever, game over. I don’t like it because the left is now too powerful in the influencing game. Balance must be restored but the right still is powerless to change anything.

Western society, the best, is predicated on force, against its enemies, external and internal; this is the current state of affairs:

Born in the years of the Cold War, the German Army was the backbone of NATO forces in Europe. Today, it is… “a quasi-humanitarian organization, a kind of Médecins Sans Frontières with guns”.

Meanwhile…. American officials, not humiliated enough, were trying to obtain assurances from the Taliban that, in exchange for aid, they would not attack the US Embassy in Kabul.

Afghan feminists counted on the solidarity of their German colleagues. But the Green Party was apparently too busy deleting male politicians from official photos for their own feminist propaganda. Well, what about the Swedish Army, then? It was busy waving the LGBT flag.

Meanwhile, the US military was busy teaching “critical race theory” at West Point. All great on the Western front …

In the so-called “free world” there is the thick, unhealthy air of betrayal.

https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/17670/western-diplomacy-imploring-terrorists

The only leader who was standing up to the predatory,anti-Western nations was Trump; the zombie has capitulated, as much as a senile old bastard can capitulate and the chunks, russkies, iranians and the now the talifucks are rushing in to fill the power void.

It’s not unusual for Anglo Saxons to attack in groups, or gangs. We’ve seen a great deal of evidence at the old blog as they formed packs to go after people. They disgust me.

The sad truth is doctors have to rely on Big Pharma because governments got out of the biomed game long ago. Doctors are very subservient to authority and Big Pharma is the major authority for treatment development. The CHOs were being cautious because while the COVID vaccines went through trials little better than the yearly flu vaccine, the trials on ivermectin for COVID are much shorter and involve far fewer participants. There is good reason to be concerned about the rapid development of these vaccines but the same argument applies to ivermectin which has been subject to less investigation as a COVID treatment.

They should have allowed the use of ivermectin but the CHOs would be against because it hasn’t been subject to sufficient trials. Something important to understand about doctors. They are terrified of any possible treatment that has not been subject to multiple “gold standard” trials over several years.

Yet they are fully (and very quickly) on board with unproven vaccines. Pourquoi?

I am avoiding the vaccine for as long as possible. They went for the vaccine because they were desperate for an intervention and Big Pharma wanted to play with the new mRNA technology which demonstrates promise for cancer immunotherapy but remains experimental for vaccines. I’d be wary of the long term use of ivermectin because of the evidence it is an anti-inflammatory. Chronic inhibition of inflammation has long been associated with adverse outcomes.

There is good reason to be concerned about the rapid development of these vaccines but the same argument applies to ivermectin which has been subject to less investigation as a COVID treatment.

But that can only be in terms of its efficacy not its safety. And even here, given the urgency involved at least so far as the CHOs are concerned, if doctors in the field are reporting success, why oppose its use even when administered by doctors.

Which reminds me, emergency use of an experimental vaccine depended upon no viable alternative. So you can see the interest in discounting the alternatives if you want to get the vaccines to market ASAP.

Ivermectin is not without risk. It is known to cause side effects. Mostly mild but one study indicates rare neurologic complications may develop. Keep in mind that because it has a good safety profile in relation to one pathology does not mean it has the same safety profile for other pathologies. There are currently a number of ivermectin trials underway or completed. The earliest one I can find began in Nov 2020, most are 2021.

Eg

Ivermectin to prevent hospitalizations in patients with COVID-19 (IVERCOR-COVID19) a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial

Conclusion: Ivermectin had no significant effect on preventing hospitalization of patients with COVID-19. Patients who received ivermectin required invasive MVS earlier in their treatment. No significant differences were observed in any of the other secondary outcomes.

But that was published in a journal of such poor quality I can’t take it seriously. This is better but the lack of power in the result is not encouraging.

Clinical study evaluating the efficacy of ivermectin in COVID-19 treatment: A randomized controlled study

Although there was no statistically significant difference in any endpoints by ivermectin doses (12 mg/day for 3 days); there was an observed trend to reducing hospital stay in the ivermectin-treated group.

Writing “Letters to the Editor” makes no impact. They simply bin it (paper based or electronically). Ditto your correspondence to your local member.

The marches in Sydney and Melbourne amuse me. Politicians simply send out taxpayer funded Police to shoot rubber bullets at you. As protesters, you are actually paying for all that “flash shit”. Riot shields, jack boots, horses, pepper spray, guns, vehicles, weekend rates and so on.

Pretty bizarre when you think about it. You are paying to be oppressed.

I get the “truck stuff”. Cutting supply lines and all the rest. Problem is that you aren’t hurting the politicians. The entire population becomes “collateral damage”.

The smart thing to do is this. Don’t march in the main streets. You make yourselves a target of the “state” with their endless resources (your money).

Camp out the front of their houses. Camp out the front of their offices. Make them feel your pain. Don’t let them travel. What’s good for the goose, is good for the gander. No overseas trips. Wear your mask. Take the vax. Don’t talk to anyone.

Hold these people to their own standards. Blockading a com car in a thousand locations is better than herding yourselves into city streets where the Police can pick you off, one by one.

No herd immunity, then we live with it.

Look on the bright side rosie. It kills old farts like me. Initially that will be an enormous cost to the health system but as increasing numbers of old farts die it could be a huge saving because health costs soar after 60 years of age and the last few months of life can incur more costs than all the preceding life. Additionally it will free up a lot of super money for their youngin’s to buy homes, there will be more homes available, residential care for oldies will decline saving further money, and all that super money will be splashing through the economy to drive domestic consumption. So stop vaccinating people and stop the lockdowns because that will solve some economic problems.

I’m too ignorant about immunology to be confident about this but I’m wondering if a return to the traditional TAP-MHC 1 dependent vaccine approach might work better because it will generate more types of virus protein expression that may generate a wider antibody repertoire. That’s a guess but I think it is time the bods began re-evaluating a vaccine strategy that depends on a single protein expression to induce antibodies and T cell mediated immunity.

That reminds me of the story about 2 French doctors, a couple, at a party. Both were smoking and someone chided them for that. They replied that longevity is over rated. I’d like to see the stats on how many old people when informed of a terminal condition decide to forego treatment. I don’t think those stats are available but they should be. It might encourage more people to stop clinging to every last second of life. There have been some recent trials which indicate psilocybin can have a big effect on helping people deal with their impending doom. I like the idea of going out on a high.

1st item a see-thru 2kg bag of white spuds .. KAPOW, ZAP & ZOWIE .. instead of a price registering I getz the call-the-attendant .. soooooo over she comes, punches in whatever codes and up it comes .. NOT FOR SALE ..
“Why?”, sez I, slightly incredulous! ..
“It’s out of date, sir, sorry”
“Out of date, they’re potatoes & there’s a bin full of them back there”

Calls someone from fruit down .. “Sorry, the computer sez .. OUT OT DATE .. can’t sell ’em”
Soooooo, there we have it WOOLIES quality control is sooo, bloody, good that a coupla hundred bags of, what looked like, perfectly normal spud-atoes were out of date ….
Maybe, this was BAT FLU’s way of telling me I should have used the QR on the way in?

We Irish all know that, the second the Use By date ticks over, potatoes go from delicious tuber to nerve poison.

You may be a hairy-arsed risk taker yourself, but you probably shouldn’t be making mock of the Fresh Food People. They have insurance and advertising budgets to consider.

Blinken attended Harvard University from 1980 to 1984,[18] where he majored in social studies and co-edited Harvard’s daily student newspaper, The Harvard Crimson.[5][19][20] Blinken also wrote a number of articles on current affairs for the Crimson.[21][18] Blinken worked as an intern for The New Republic for around a year after graduating from Harvard.[6][18] He entered Columbia Law School in 1985 and earned his J.D. in 1988.[22][23] After graduation, he practiced law in New York City and Paris.[24] Blinken worked with his father Donald to raise funds for Michael Dukakis, the Democratic nominee in the 1988 United States presidential election.[5]

In his monograph Ally versus Ally: America, Europe, and the Siberian Pipeline Crisis (1987), Blinken argued that exerting diplomatic pressure on the Soviet Union during the Siberian pipeline crisis was less significant for American interests than maintaining strong relations between the United States and Europe.[25] Ally versus Ally was based on Blinken’s undergraduate thesis.[19]

“Perhaps he’s noticed the political invoices piling up on his desk.”

Yep…I suspect word’s got back to him about the fury among the base and a not so small exodus to the Lib Dems.

It’s all too late Scotty.

BTW….why does he agree to appear on Insiders with Speers? Only to be constantly interrupted and heckled. Why doesn’t he appear on Outsiders or Bolt or Kenny?

“Getting rid of uni bludge courses would be a good start to improving the world.”

Indeed…Peter Boghossian, James Lindsay, Gad Saad, Jordan Peterson, Michael Robillard and others have all been saying this for years.

Because he is part of the corrupt establishment as you would expect from a NSW lieboral who was trumble’s treasurer.

Why doesn’t he appear on Outsiders or Bolt or Kenny?

They might ask him really difficult, embarrassing questions.

the lambda variant is already showing resistance to vaccine. In a few years there will be hundreds of variants. What will the bugmen do then, intubate us all and upload us into the matrix?

At last some good news. On the weekend a friend told that there finally has been a follow up to the Neo Genesis Evangelion series so I’ll return the favour and let him know about the new Archer. Thanks for the tip.

I recall one of the ex STC engineering academics at UNSW saying what a terrible mistake it was to put a fArts faculty there. And what a 10th abomination it is.
