I would draw this distinction though – Rudd would have been destructive no matter what. Yesterday someone linked to a very smart small business in Melbourne(?) which had a large sign up that masks were mandatory so if you didn’t wear one they would assume you had an exemption. Businesses should not have to act as policemen. They are not, and surely cannot under the law be held, responsible for what other people do or do not do.
