  1. India verylikely doesn’t have reliable data.

    ..
    Who does? Everything is biased.
You can only go on the published data. Unless you have information on which way it skews, that’s all you can do.

  2. Let’s say India has poor reporting.
They would have had the same poor reporting in April and May during that last massive wave. So poor reporting doesn’t explain the current lack of a wave while countries like Israel are experiencing one.

    Yeah righto JC.

It’s a wildly known fact that the covid death count and the number of people who have contracted COVID in India has been hugely under-counted. If you going to put up an reasonable argument then do so, but stop it with the chess and permit Raj crap. India is an underdeveloped country with a large stratum of the population thought of as something worse than animals.

We don’t really know the prevalence – how far did covid get its claws into the population thereby helping heard immunity. The estimate I’ve seen was that it’s quite high.

    ..
    Possible.
Which if there is no Indian third wave tells us we should have let it run more, instead of imprisoning the population and allowing public servants to delude themselves with the elimination strategy while waiting for vaccine coverage to do the work.

  8. If someone is vaccinated and gets Covid 19 -delta, do they still develop natural immunity? Or is this process depleted by the vax? I have not seen anything reported on this but I believe it is an important question?

Thought of by… you, obvs. That ivermectin stuff- you know, the stuff among others that the Taj Mahathedral banned because the monsoons were setting in- it’s just horse wormer, ain’t it?

That’s amusing because generally, I don’t ever bother reading anything you have to say.

Stick to watching out for typos and making a run on that.

Let me repeat again. India is a shithole country and therefore the stats cannot be relied on. Humongous numbers of births and deaths are not even reported through to the government.

But, hey stick to telling us chess was invented in India, there was a Tiffon Raj (?) and therefore the stats must be believed?

    That ivermectin stuff- you know

Oh yea, India’s world famous randomized, controlled, double blind trials give us lots of confidence they’ve proven the med works.

Nope, a huge number are very poor and likely unable to even have ever been to a medical clinic. You just keep deluding yourself that most of India is exactly like Palm beach, Florida and the Upper Eastside

    Yep, you’re quite right.

A large number can’t read, no.

  14. Yep, potentially herd immunity has been reached in India.

What explains the rapid spike and then sharp decline of cases of the April-to-June wave?

India emerged in June and July of 2021 from a particularly savage second wave of COVID-19, with total confirmed cases at about 32 million and more than 400,000 deaths. But this could be a dramatic under-counting. Alternative estimates have put excess deaths in the range of 3.4 million to 4.9 million.

This wave was driven by multiple coronavirus variants, including alpha, which was first detected in the U.K., and delta, first identified in India and now the main source of infections in many countries. Because the emerging threat was not recognized early enough, health care services were overwhelmed starting in early April, with the lack of reliable oxygen supply becoming a major problem.

  15. Yep, India may have reached close to herd immunity, both with the huge infection rate and 20% of the population being immunized.

Half of India’s population may have had Covid-19 by February, government panel estimates

MUMBAI (REUTERS) – At least half of India’s 1.3 billion people are likely to have been infected with the new coronavirus by next February, helping slow the spread of the disease, a member of a federal government committee tasked with providing projections said on Monday (Oct 19).

India has so far reported 7.55 million cases of the coronavirus and is second only to the United States in terms of total infections.

But Covid-19 infections are decreasing in India after a peak in mid-September, with 61,390 new cases reported on average each day, according to a Reuters tally.

“Our mathematical model estimates that around 30 per cent of the population is currently infected and it could go up to 50 per cent by February,” Professor Manindra Agrawal from the Indian Institute for Technology in Kanpur and a committee member, told Reuters.

The committee’s estimate for the current spread of the virus is much higher than the federal government’s serological surveys, which showed that only around 14 per cent of the population had been infected, as of September.

But Prof Agrawal said serological surveys might not be able to get sampling absolutely correct because of the sheer size of the population that they were surveying.

  16. JC sounds a lot like he’s developing a case of buyer’s remorse, now that he’s been apparently double vaxxed…

India may or may not have reliable statistics, but as others have said, neither has almost anyone else. The financial incentives hospitals in USA receive for Covid-classified patients have had a hugely distorting effect on overall numbers and this is pretty well documented. Same in a number of EU countries.

Perhaps more importantly though, India presents a good case study when its various states are compared against each other, because there are some that have relied on the US-style treatments (Remdesivir, ‘vaccination’ etc) and others using predominantly Ivermectin.

The comparison between Utar Pradesh and Kerala is utterly devastating to the frankenvaxx case.

  17. Talking of misreporting, the UK’s Mirror newspaper ran an article reporting a 20% increase in Corona deaths last week in the UK. According to the official health statistics the increase was only 2.00% (involving 20 extra deaths). The error slipped through, maybe intentionally or not, given the paper’s political bent and the media’s desire to scare everyone. The figure is now being quoted far and wide around the world including here in Oz. I think I may have been first to pick this up. Someone should tweet Craig Kelly who is quoting the Mirror’s figures. Never trust the media when it comes to reporting stats.

Police claim lockdown protestors yesterday were just ‘angry young men’

    Watch: This elderly woman disagrees

    https://www.rebelnews.com/police_claim_lockdown_protesters_yesterday_were_just_angry_young_men

As Yemi says, after bashing her to the ground, they don’t offer help, but begin to spray her in the face with pepper spray, which is supposed to be a defensive weapon.

It just means the next freedom protest will be bigger.

[sorry Mem. we’re not going there on comments I’m maybe held responsible for about someone who might be identifiable. Sorry – Arky) was labelled as 70 years old. There was enough wrong with the police conduct without [ditto- Arky]. Just saying as it detracts from the genuine people expressing what has been an appalling breach of community and individual rights by the Andrew’s government. I may be wrong but I smell set up.

  20. Hmmm. So everyone else is scared to respond to my post above? It (the 70 year old lady clip) didn’t seem genuine to me. I’m not sure of Avi’s motivations but if it was to do a set up job, you can think of two reasons, to get hits to your website or as the Soviet infiltrators did, to do a double, double to discredit the real protestors. Hasn’t anyone thought about this. Read Stephen Koch, “Stalin, Willi Munzenberg and the Seduction of the Intellectuals”.

No I didn’t see head hit ground. I only heard Avi’s commentary. As for mum, sister or great aunt, keep pulling the strings. We have enough bad stuff going on in this state without concocting footage. Have said my piece and being honest. Are you, and is Avi honest? It is up to others to discern.

This is a really interesting question. It goes to the why force those who had the couf to get vaxxed, and if you then do get vaxxed … are there issues.

This last is what Nicki Minage was “researching” !

Not much data – and given this … interesting!!!! Why no data??

No I don’t condone violence. But when set-up is concocted it diverts from coverage of the real thuggery that occurred such as this https://twitter.com/i/status/1439171472535146503
