SARS–CoV–2 Spike Impairs DNA Damage Repair and Inhibits V(D)J Recombination In Vitro
Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS–CoV–2) has led to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID–19) pandemic, severely affecting public health and the global economy. Adaptive immunity plays a crucial role in fighting against SARS–CoV–2 infection and directly influences the clinical outcomes of patients. Clinical studies have indicated that patients with severe COVID–19 exhibit delayed and weak adaptive immune responses; however, the mechanism by which SARS–CoV–2 impedes adaptive immunity remains unclear. Here, by using an in vitro cell line, we report that the SARS–CoV–2 spike protein significantly inhibits DNA damage repair, which is required for effective V(D)J recombination in adaptive immunity. Mechanistically, we found that the spike protein localizes in the nucleus and inhibits DNA damage repair by impeding key DNA repair protein BRCA1 and 53BP1 recruitment to the damage site. Our findings reveal a potential molecular mechanism by which the spike protein might impede adaptive immunity and underscore the potential side effects of full-length spike-based vaccines.

I don’t recall anyone here on the Cat being hysterical…not me, not Lizzie, not Rosie.

Hairy and I were so unconcerned about it that we took off from Australia on the last 380 out to LA on 9th March, 2020, and headed to San Diego to pick up our cruise from Miami. We’d travelled in previous ‘epidemics’.

We were forced to return to Australia by the end of March due to the closure of Australian borders, and had to do home quarantine (OK by us). Like Cassie, I’ve never agreed with area lockdowns, preferring the protection of the vulnerable as a better way to go. But I’ve never thought Covid was a nothing-burger. Infectious diseases always deserve serious attention. I support vaccinations, especially ones that work, and hope better one arrive soon for Covid.

Hysterical claims that we are all going to die from the vaxx sound like the warmists we’re all going to fry. They are patently not borne out by any evidence and both stike me as catastrophism. I’d agree that there is more to be concerned about re vaxx effects (or indeed from Covid itself) than is ever going to worry me re such a nebulous concept as ‘global temperature’ and CO2 ‘forcing’.
Way OTT.

Our findings reveal a potential molecular mechanism by which the spike protein might impede adaptive immunity and underscore the potential side effects of full-length spike-based vaccines.

I don’t know enough virology to be sure, but I’ve read there are about twenty types of spike protein, only one of which is stimulated via the current vaccines. I think it’s a pretty complex area and thus so is adaptive immunity with regard to these proteins. Most new vaxxes still seem to feel that the spike protein has to be at the base somewhere. Also, killed virus particle vaxxes are also proving to have some bad effects. The conservative approach, vaccinate only the older half of the population and those with comorbidities seems to be a good one, but not taken amidst the hysteria.

In particular, I see no need to vaccinate children under 18 against Covid. It is not in their best interests, which should be the determining factor.

What potential issues? We’ll we don’t know, as there is no long term data. Which is the main problem! Most anti-covid vaxers are not anti-vaxers.

At this year’s World Health Summit Stefan Oelrich, President of Bayer’s Pharmaceuticals Division, gave a truly eye-opening speech revealing how the so-called “experts” think and quite frankly, taking his speech in the round, it’s chilling.

Finally, for anyone who still believes the Covid injections are vaccines to artificially induce immunity to a virus Oelrich leaves us in no doubt as to what it is. “We are really taking that leap [to drive innovation] – us as a company, Bayer – in cell and gene therapies … ultimately the mRNA vaccines are an example for that cell and gene therapy. I always like to say: if we had surveyed two years ago in the public – ‘would you be willing to take a gene or cell therapy and inject it into your body?’ – we probably would have had a 95% refusal rate,” Oelrich said.

You can hear Oelrich’s speech at the World Health Summit 2021 below.

You are needed here, your experience is needed here, and people can (and must) agree to disagree on the issue of the Covid vaxxes. There is no doubt that Covid has given the authoritarians a good practice run for lots of things. If there is any validity to these claims, the signal will be clear at the time. The government and bureaucratic officials, who have access to the actual statistical data on illness and deaths, will suddenly find important reasons to be overseas en masse, followed soon by the media and other “influencers” who have hung onto their coattails.

The reason for their need to be elsewhere will be that, as hundreds of thousands start to die, they, and their families, will realise who caused this, and will hunt them down to extinction as their last acts in this life. There will be nowhere in Australia, and no protective force, that could protect them from the righteous rage of their victims.

Mask wearing in my patch of Gau QLD is at about 10%. Dobbing yourself to Buddha’s Stazi is practiced only by frail ancients and Karens, unless the door is guarded.

I was at a country pub concert last night. Packed. The only masks were the staff. Word is that the Plod Sergeant was run off by the crowd a few weeks ago and has threatened vengeance. He’s from the big town, not local. Probably didn’t get his car boot filled when he left it in the pub carpark.
Looking around at the crowd, he would be wise to focus his harrassment somewhere else.

BranDan’s last fig leaf is the total deaths for the winter/spring outbreaks.
NSW is currently 180 in front on this measure and the ABC lets us know how terrible the death toll was for NSW, though Vic has nearly double the number for the whole event.

The last four weeks has the NSW toll at 106, whilst Vic tallies at 271.

It appears that IQ started falling off at the same time that multiple childhood vaccinations started ramping up.

I don’t think 1975 is a particular stand-out year for vaccinations. But it’s an interesting point. Vaccinations save lives. There is no doubt that millions of people are alive today simply because of medical intervention, including vaccinations. Many of these people in the normal course of events would have died due to natural selection; so the argument is many dumb people have survived due to medical intervention. I believe this explains the ascendancy of leftism in the modern era. Normally leftists would be eaten by lions, trampled by elephants or would otherwise have perished due to their lack of care about fundamental survival factors and inherent arrogance and stupidity.

The lucrative $50,000-per-year journalist tax break that Democrats have tucked within President Biden’s multitrillion-dollar social welfare bill is estimated to cost taxpayers more than $1.6 billion over the next decade.

Like Labor here, and Labour in the UK, the DemonRats have long ceased to care about the working class. Being mates with the inner city “trendies” leads to dinner parties that are for more enjoyable than suburban backyard BBQs. And the conversation is far more uplifting than sports and motor cars.

Vaccine effectiveness against symptomatic Covid-19 infection wanes progressively over time across all subgroups, but at different rate according to type of vaccine, and faster for men and older frail individuals. The effectiveness against severe illness seems to remain high through 9 months, although not for men, older frail individuals, and individuals with comorbidities. This strengthens the evidence-based rationale for administration of a third booster dose.

UKHSA Efficacy Stats Death Watch: Week 44
doesn’t look good.

No it certainly doesn’t look good.

But the problem confounding this issue appears to be statistics and elementary maths, rather than biology.

The actual population of the UK is highly uncertain:

• the ONS estimates are based on the 2011 census, adjusted for births, deaths, and a stab at net migration.

• the NIMS estimate is based on NHS GP registrations, periodically adjusted for deaths that work through the system, and incompletely adjusted for multiple registrations and the Brexit exodus of filthy Europeans, formerly leeching on the NHS.

The consequence is the calculation of rates of anything to do with unvaccinated Brits is also highly uncertain. And is rapidly becoming sketchy as the significance of the error of estimate in the denominator increases as the numbers of unvaccinated falls.

Add to that the obvious sampling issues (eg the gross anomaly in the under 18 group), shite communication, and bureaucratic obfuscation – and, suddenly, you have Babel.

Nobody in this argument really knows what’s what.

It appears that IQ started falling off at the same time that multiple childhood vaccinations started ramping up.

But don’t forget fluoridation of water, organochlorine and benylate/ benomyl usage in agriculture. The wide scale use of the latter two coincided with the increase in incidence of, for example cleft palate type abnormalities, generalised allergies and childhood asthma, that became lifelong asthma in Australia. Which seems to have tapered off as the various pesticides and fungicides of those families were banned or fell into disuse.

It’s pretty disturbing what people used to consume in food and drink. When my father died five years ago, rest of the family couldn’t cope with it and I was left to tidy up his stuff, accounts, affairs…the like. I found a large collection of sample bottles of spirits and wines. I thought I’d put them to good use to manage the memories of going through Dad’s stuff.

Thought it was kind of disturbing tasting and smelling all of these chemical tastes and odors that I had not done for decades. The last times I encountered these was on fruit I’d be given for my primary school lunches or more recently exposed to concentrates in the course of research work.

Normal people are in shocking personal debt, are dangerously overweight and have thunderously applauded maniacs like Palaszczuk, Berejiklian, Andrews, Gunner & McGowan. They no longer believe in civil liberties and think getting ahead means working a soul destroying government job where nothing is contributed to the economy – as long as enough is redistributed to them.

I don’t understand why some people here have to constantly go on and on and on about how they’ve been right all along, they were telling everyone else from the start and no one listened and they’re still not listening oh why don’t they listen to meeeeee blah blah blah.

Even if this were true (which it broadly isn’t), what does it matter? Okay, let’s give baby his candy – fine, you’ve been right all along, congratulations, thank you for your service etc. Now, can you please quit whining? Or at least give some kind of indication of the level of validation you need to quit whining?

Never used one, but probably no worse than a standard taxi driver, many of whom (in major cities) seem to come from the same sources.

Foreign Minister Simon Kofe addressed cameras while knee-deep in the ocean to highlight the sea level rises affecting his nation, drawing plenty of attention and admiration on social media.

IIRC, Kiribati, Vanuatu and Tuvalu pulled the same stunt in Copenhagen in 2009.
At least, these poisonous parasites can’t be accused of ever created an original idea.

Of course, it’s always been a rank stinking lie, all about getting the criminally-retarded Western politicians to throw OPM at these shitholes, so that their “big men” can comfortably retire in Monaco, Zurich or St Gallen.

I bought my second property in Albert Park and a third one some time later nearby in Sth Melbourne. It’s now selling again. We’d still be there, but couldn’t buy and rip down the shithole workman’s cottage next door eyesore. The council would have given us serious legal problems.

Cleo Smith case sparks calls to treat Indigenous missing children cases equally

These people never miss an opportunity to grift off of white guilt. No evidence provided in the article that indigenous missing children cases are not treated equally, incidentally. Just one woman’s retelling of a terrible murder of a 10 month old baby boy at the hands of his mother’s former partner in 2013, that 20% of 13-17 yos reported missing are indigenous, that kids removed from homes and placed in foster care often run away, and that the media needs to focus more on these kinds of stories.

Really? Is Aboriginal Inc absolutely certain it wants the media to go there? I’m not sure a close and honest examination of why so many of these kids are going missing and why they’re in foster care would be kind to the narrative.

Better to just bleat to the ABC about unequal treatment and not invite closer scrutiny.

Biologists say what separates us from the Great Apes is not the capacity to do violence but a lack of reactive violence, i.e. tolerance.

As Victor Davis Hansen points out, a former Japanese or Mexican could become President of the USA, but Hansen could never become the leader in either of those two countries.

Oh no they don’t. They’d prefer to keep their intra community violence to themselves cos otherwise wacism.

If they were white kids living in similar conditions they’d be removed.

What we have here is a failure to communicate. We don’t like to treat them this way, but that’s the way they want it and that’s the way they get it.

Well, the boarding house for the AHI* folk on the corner of Montague St and St Vincents Place North provided a bit of that.
One guy in particular had very little bladder control and used to let loose anywhere and everywhere.
There was another bloke with the full head tattoos. Looked as scary as fuck until he opened his mouth and out came this sing-song Michael Jackson voice.
The nice ladies at the cafes on Bridport St and Vic Ave would have loved to complain but knew it would have blown their SJW credentials.
