Simon Sebag Montefiore. The Romanovs. (2016)
Putin’s entourage call him the Tsar, yet it is not the great Romanovs who keep Putin awake at night but the memories of Nicholas 11. One evening in his Novo-Ogareva palace, his chief residence near Moscow, Putin asked his courtiers who were Russia’s ‘greatest traitors’. Before they could answer he replied, ‘The greatest criminals in our history were those weaklings who threw power on the floor – Nicholas 11 and Mikhail Gorbachev – who allowed power to be picked up by hysterics and madmen.’ Putin promised, ‘I would never abdicate.’ The Romanovs are gone but the predicament of Russian autocracy lives on. -

My aim, though, was to see if anyone knowing the bit about the US importing oil from Russia was correct.
Platts tells us that the US is importing, on average, nearly 600,000 bopd from Russia.
Keystone XL was going to transport 800,000 bopd from the Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
Better that Russia gets the hard currency than Young Castro.
Great call, Biden. -

Russians believe in Abiotic Oil, so they’re not worried about it ever running out
Americans believe in “FossilFuels”, so they’ve gotta act as though the Oil is gonna run out anyday now.
Germans believe in the “GreenDream”, so they’ve closed their nukes and Coal Mines.
The bottom line is that if America says “jump” all the other countries must ask “How High?” -

Russians believe in Abiotic Oil, so they’re not worried about it ever running out
Silliest mineralographic comment I’ve ever read.
I suppose copper mines never run out too, since they’re abiotic.Russians aren’t worried about such things because (a) they sit on a shed load of oil (b) they sit on a shed load of coal and know how to convert it to oil and (c) don’t believe in climate crap. If Putin wasn’t such an arsehole it’d be a great place to move to.
Yes abiotic oil exists, and yes biotic oil exists. Deal with it.

There are not enough LNG tankers in the world to supply Germany never mind the rest of Europe. And you can be 100% certain that Germany is well aware.
Gas covered more than a quarter of Germany’s primary energy use in 2021, making it the country’s second most important energy source. Germany is among the world’s biggest natural gas importers and around 95 percent of its gas consumption is met by imports, according to the BGR. The country re-exports about half of the natural gas it imports. In 2020, the country produced 5.7 billion cubic metres (bcm) of natural gas, but according to geologists, the fields are nearing depletion. Domestic natural gas production has been falling since 2004 and will likely cease altogether in the course of the 2020s. Strict regulations make substantial use of fracking highly unlikely for now.

Dot – One particular zinc deposit I know of was full of shungite. Three or four percent of the ore, basically abiotic oil that had solidified. Shungite is full of fullerenes. Since the deposit was very large I thought that the entire world could be kept fed with buckyballs for roughly forever, if someone ever bothered to extract them. All those natural buckballs still exist: in the tailings dam.
Another ginormous mineral deposit I’ve worked on has several percent of abiotic oil in it. It’s clearly abiotic since the deposit (over a billion tonnes) was a late stage magma in which the good stuff was concentrated. The oil is a nuisance for processing, but not too much of one.

Brimming European LNG terminals lack room for more gas
LNG imports to the continent remain robust. After hitting a record high in January of more than 16 billion cubic metres (bcm), they have so far reached 6.9 bcm in February.
This means most of Europe’s LNG terminals are operating at full capacity, especially in north-west Europe, where they feed large economies Britain, France and Germany, raising the question of how much more LNG can be processed.

Hillary Clinton Calls for Non-Governmental Actors and Hackers To Lead the United States Military Into a Hot War Against Russia in Ukraine
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2022/02/25/hillary-clinton-calls-for-non-governmental-actors-and-hackers-to-lead-the-united-states-military-into-a-hot-war-against-russia-in-ukraine/
February 25, 2022 | sundance | 451 CommentsLet us not forget the history of Egypt 2011, Libya 2012 and the original U.S. State Department Ukraine operations in 2014.
Everything we are seeing in U.S. media surrounding U.S. interests in Ukraine is a massive propaganda operation with the headquarters in the U.S. State Department and U.S. intelligence community. The sense of sympathy you are feeling is part of an intentionally manipulative operation from within this DC matrix.
The images, pictures, videos, speeches, soundbites and the cinematography broadcast by U.S. corporate media are all purposefully intended to create a very specific outlook within the American people toward the issues in Ukraine. The leftist United Nations, and the leftist U.S State Dept, will work together on this just like they have done in the prior examples (Ukraine 1.0, Libya, Egypt, etc.)
If you question any of their constructs, if you point out the puppet strings, if you notice the collective distribution of specifically repeated patterns, you are a labeled a Russian apologist. However, it is critical to retain our reference points to recognize when we are being misled by this effort.
This is not to say that Russian President Vladimir Putin is a good actor in this scenario, he’s not. This is also not to say that Volodymyr Zelenskyy is a willful participant in this geopolitical scheme, he’s not. Zelenskyy is stuck in a scenario that is not in his control. He is doing the best he can to avoid the worst outcome, which means he is aligning with the U.S. State Dept, because it is the least bad of the two current options.
There are genuine Ukraine freedom fighters, and genuine leaders inside Ukraine who are fighting to remain an independent state free from the influence of Russia. However, the free Ukrainian elements are also stuck with the political manipulations of external forces like the U.S. and NATO.
The ultra-leftists in the U.S. Deep State Department have been playing in Ukraine for well over a decade. Do you really think they will just walk away from their investments without fighting to retain that influence? Of course not.
Additionally, do you think the DC system has put this much effort into their control over Ukraine politics for this long, and would walk away without putting forth a fight? Again, of course not. This is the playground of people like former Senator John McCain and current U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham. Within the DC alignment, there is no distance between the political parties when it comes to the benefits of geopolitical influence.
Republicans and Democrats are united in “foreign policy”, and institutions like the Senate Foreign Relations Committee are aligned with the intents and purposes of the Deep State intelligence apparatus and U.S. State Department. This is an alignment based on mutually beneficial outcomes.
? Without a doubt, there are U.S. military “contractors” and dark money special operations forces embedded within the Ukraine fighting units, who can quickly melt into the civilian population if an insurgency approach is needed. If Russia takes all of Ukraine (that’s a big ‘if’), we can be certain that U.S. elements will be inside the country triggering conflict to retake western control. The U.S. will never give up on their Ukraine investments.
Authorization ‘finding memos‘, permitting covert operations in Ukraine, from the White House to the Gang of Eight in Congress would easily find support. The DC system will collectively align in common purpose, and there will be no dissent permitted. We are seeing that now.
All of that said… depending on how tenuous it gets, the western alliance is already positioning to trigger an actual ‘hot’ conflict with deployment of the NATO article five charter under the auspices of cyber warfare.
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said today that “cyberattacks” against any NATO country by Russia can trigger article five of the NATO treaty. Meaning U.S-NATO forces will consider cyberattacks as justification for military engagement by the U.S. and NATO in Ukraine.
The groundwork is being assembled for the United States to be pushed into more open military engagement. In order to pull this off, they need the media system to push a sympathy narrative, that’s where the Hollywood-centric U.S. State Department steps in. Watch out for this “pallywood” type propaganda when it surfaces, and recognize the intent is to manipulate the way you think, view and feel about the issues as they unfold.
Yesterday, from the White House podium, Deputy National Security Advisor Daleep Singh boiled down the leftist view of geopolitical power to a cultural issue of social likeability. Singh stated, “Strategic success in the 21st century is not about a physical land grab of territory; that’s what Putin has done. In this century, strategic power is increasingly measured and exercised by economic strength, by technological sophistication and your story – who you are, what your values are; can you attract ideas and talent and goodwill? And on each of those measures, this will be a failure for Russia.”
This is the same outlook on geopolitical power that took us to an interventionist position in Egypt, by removing Hosni Mubarark, and in Libya, killing Mouamar Kaddaffi. This is an approach based on using Big Tech and social media as weapons to manipulate the perspectives of Americans to support the interventionist intents of the U.S. government. They succeeded then in the Middle East by igniting the Islamist Spring, and they succeeded again in 2014 in the original Ukraine intervention.
Big Tech (Google, Microsoft) and Social Media operations like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, etc., are “non-governmental actors” who work on behalf of the intents of the U.S. government, specifically the U.S. State Dept. The intent is to shape opinion.
Collaboratively, this network will coordinate with the messaging and narrative within corporate media. The alphabets, CNN, CNNi, Fox, MSNBC and the on-line allies at the New York Times, Washington Post, Politico, etc. then collaborate. Together the media and tech form a massive psychological campaign against the psyche of the American public. Everything is purposeful.
That’s the backdrop for this important statement today from Hillary Clinton as she calls for all these interests and agencies to align in common cause to assist in the Ukraine “story”, to use the words of Daleep Singh yesterday. Listen to how former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton asks for “non-governmental” actors to get involved. The video is only two minutes, but listen carefully at 00:36 forward {Direct Rumble Link}:
https://rumble.com/vvv5c9-hillary-clinton-just-openly-called-for-the-united-states-government-to-cond.htmlKeep in mind that NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg said cyberattacks by Russia would be considered triggers for article five war. Now you see Hillary Clinton openly called for the United States government and NGA’s to conduct cyberattacks against Russia. “I think we could also be attacking a lot of the government institutions and again, the oligarchs and their way of life through cyberattacks,” she declares.
We are being manipulated for military engagement within Ukraine.
We are being manipulated by the propaganda of the U.S. State Dept.
We are being manipulated.
It is not Ukraine President Volodymyr’s fault. He is as much a victim in this as we are.

Putin is acting for Russia, and he is taking out the NWO (Nazi World Order)’s bioweapons labs, armaments, and Nazi governmental elements installed in Ukraine by Nuland and the WEF and the DC grifters (Biden, Pelosi, Lurch, and Romney among others).More power to him. May it be quick and relatively bloodless. DeNazification should always be supported. The Freelands and Dasczaks and Bushes and Kesslers and other Nazi supporters and descendants must be exposed and rooted out, worldwide.
Assuming Putin accomplishes the safe removal of the DTRA labs, the capture and removal of the DS henchmen and the DeNazification of the rest of the country, the resulting neutral Ukraine will have less corruption, much less human trafficking, a better economy, and less chance of a biological weapons disaster.
In the meantime, the WEF grift machine has now lost its Afghan drugs and money operation, its Syrian oil through Turkey operation (a McCain specialty), and now its Ukrainian money laundering operation looks to be on the ropes. So much losing. No wonder the demons are screaming.
Next up: the McConnell/Chao/CCP deepstate money operation that fliws through Taiwan. What a shame that will be when the Chao family finds its shipping empire bankrupted. Here’s looking at you Mitch, you SOB.
Would not be surprised to see some action in Serbia too, where Petraeus set himself up as a cyber warlord. If there is going to be a cyber war, Serbia and Petraeus will probably be involved.”

It depends upon how scared your local rubbity is of enforcement action + how ruthless the swine are in your town.
Police have conducted one only Appell inside my place, & that was before Christmas. The appetite for enforcement seems to have pretty much dissipated since then.
I’m still checking, but not everybody. My care factor for whether someone is vaccinated is considerably below zero.

High prices turn U.S. LNG tankers to Europe
About two-thirds of U.S. LNG volumes went to Europe in January, up from around 61% in December, according to Refinitiv data.
Prices were so much higher in Europe that traders rerouted several U.S. LNG tankers to head across the Atlantic instead of the Pacific. One ship was on the Pacific side of the Panama Canal when the captain received orders to turn around, go back through the canal, and head to Europe.
It got so busy earlier in February, with multiple LNG carriers making the short U.S.-to-Europe cargo run, that shippers found an oversupply of tankers returning to port to pick up another load weeks sooner than if they had sailed to Asia.
It appears that the EU isn’t going to wither up and blow away due to lack of LNG for the moment.

After Success With Chavez and El Chapo, Hollywood Actor Sean Penn Heads to Ukraine To Document Russian Invasion Against Zelenskyy
February 25, 2022 | sundance | 203 CommentsLike a bad penny, the Hollywood actor shows up right before bad things happen; Vice News is likely in the background of the cinematography.
Previously, Sean Penn headed to Venezuela to showcase support for Hugo Chavez, and that led to millions suffering starvation. A few years later, he turns up in Mexico supporting infamously brutal drug lord Joaquín Archivaldo “El Chapo” Guzmán. Conspicuously, right before the FBI nabbed El Chapo. Now Penn resurfaces in Ukraine to document the downfall of Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Hollywood is one of the more famous State Department Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s). They have been involved in deep state shaping of public opinion for quite some time.
Please pay attention to this little sentence: “Penn previously visited Ukraine in November 2021 to prepare for the documentary.” If you find yourself wondering how Sean Penn would know in November of last year that Ukraine would fall to a Russian invasion four months later, well, you are a conspiracy theorist or something.
(Via Yahoo) […] Penn was photographed in Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital, on Thursday attending a press briefing about the conflict. The Ukrainian government publicly thanked the Oscar-winning actor for coming to the country.
“The director specially came to Kyiv to record all the events that are currently happening in Ukraine and to tell the world the truth about Russia’s invasion of our country. Sean Penn is among those who support Ukraine in Ukraine today. Our country is grateful to him for such a show of courage and honesty,” the Office of the President of Ukraine said in a statement to Newsweek.

“Moscow says it has repelled an armed border incursion
Ukraine has denied a Russian claim that five of its service personnel were killed on Monday during a firefight near the two countries shared border.Kiev added that none of its forces have a presence in Russia’s Rostov region, dismissing Moscow’s assertion as “fake news.”
“I reiterate that the Ukrainian armed forces have not attacked Donetsk and Lugansk, have not sent saboteurs or APCs across the border, have not shelled Russia’s territory or its border checkpoint. All of these are the products of Russia’s fake factory,” Ukrainian military spokesman Pavlo Kovalchuk told reporters.
The official also insisted the country’s military has not taken any “aggressive actions” at all lately, claiming the forces of the breakaway republics of Donetsk and Lugansk have been shelling themselves to ramp up the ongoing tensions.
“The occupiers themselves are blowing up infrastructure facilities in the occupied territories, carrying out erratic shelling of settlements and staging other provocations to escalate the situation,” Kovalchuk alleged.
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba had a similar message, taking to Twitter to deny any intrusion and urge Russia to “stop the fake factory.”
The Russian Army claimed that a small reconnaissance unit crossed from Ukraine into Russia’s Rostov Region around 6am local time. Moscow said that when its forces were sent to confront the intruders, two Ukrainian armored infantry vehicles crossed into Russia as well.
According to Moscow, both Ukrainian vehicles were destroyed and five service members were killed. There were no casualties among the Russian troops and border guards, Moscow said.
Russian officials earlier said that a border guard post was destroyed on Monday by a shell launched from Ukraine. No one was hurt in the reported incident. Kiev branded the allegations part of Moscow’s “information war waged to pin the blame on Ukrainian armed forces.” Ukrainian officials have repeatedly accused Moscow of trying to lure them into a conflict.

Ukraine’s leadership has rejected negotiations – Kremlin
Russia’s military operation in Ukraine has continued after the country’s leadership had declined to negotiate, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on SaturdayPresident Vladimir Putin previously ordered the Russian troops to halt their advance on Friday, awaiting a response from Kiev, Moscow said. It added that the offensive continued on Saturday.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that he was ready to sit down for talks with Russia in order to end hostilities between the countries. The same day, Peskov told reporters that Moscow was ready to hold talks in Minsk, Belarus. From Darren Beattie Revolver News
The Truth About the Ukraine
Way back in 2016, President Obama said Ukraine is simply not a core American interest that is worth killing and dying over.
And the American people understand this.
According to the AP, just 26% of Americans say the U.S. should play a major role in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Thanks to the stubbornness, arrogance, and incompetence of America’s discredited foreign policy “elite,” yet another entirely avoidable conflict has gone hot.
A diplomatic solution with Russia might have involved something as simple as demilitarization in the Ukraine and a signed treaty promising Ukraine would never join NATO.
The Globalist American Empire and its European client states still have yet to sanction Russia’s critical oil and gas industries, lest Germany face a massive energy crisis, and energy prices go through the roof worldwide, which in and of itself could topple the Democrats in 2022 and the Biden regime in 2024.
In a 2015 lecture, John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago, described how NATO’s relentless expansion east, support for regime change in Ukraine via color revolution, and repeated decision to double down against Russian opposition had created an unnecessary Ukraine crisis.
Belligerent neocons and neoliberals of American foreign policy have always been wrong.
Again and again, interventionism has led America into avoidable and humiliating catastrophes.
It led to disaster in Vietnam, embarrassment in Iraq, and total national humiliation in Afghanistan.
The War Party destroyed Syria and Libya as stable countries and turned them into hotbeds of chaos and terrorism, in return for absolutely nothing.
Interventionists claim that America must fight to demonstrate its strength, yet nothing has depleted America’s strength more than the trillions of dollars wasted on wars that go nowhere.
If America wants its role in the 21st century to stay on par with its role in the 20th, it cannot afford another Iraq-style error. And that means embracing competent realism rather than the unholy neoconservative/neoliberal alliance that has set US foreign policy for thirty years now.
In other words, put America First.
Back in 2003, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney masterminded a war in Iraq that Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden both voted for.
The war was a total disaster, based on false premises, yet because American elites never face consequences for failure, nothing happened.
Come 2011, when Libya became unstable, Hillary Clinton egged on the war, and then luxuriated in the slaughter that followed.
In 2014, this same unholy alliance cheered on a color revolution in Ukraine that predictably led Ukraine down a primrose path of destruction.
Now, eight years into a disaster they created, these interventionists again want to set US policy, and they again want a position of maximum aggression that will prove useless for the people of Ukraine and suicidally self-destructive to the people of America.
The American foreign policy elite is useless, depraved, and discredited.
They deserve no power and no influence whatsoever.
Ignore everything they say on Ukraine and support the right policy of putting America First.

An interesting article on the perspective of Hungarians towards the war on the other side of the border, and the echoes of 1956.
‘We fought Soviets with our fists, we are not naive’ Hungary says (Express, 26 Feb)
Worth a read. The picture of the T-55 in the museum is interesting. Also interesting that Tony Abbott, who features in the article, was in Budapest for a foreign policy conference a couple days before the invasion commenced.
