I beg to differ. Menzies was exactly that – a conservative. He did nothing to change one of the most fundamental economic relationships this country has, which is the impediments to the labor market.
Conservatives only believe in slowing down the left and that’s it. This is why some conservatives here wonder why conservative parties have done nothing over the past 40 years and allowed the left to progress… literally progress. But to do so slowly.

For a long time I have held the view that one referendum proposal that would get up easily would be the elimination of the ACT. Keep the Triangle.
