From Todays ‘American Thinker’

“AI facial recognition can accurately predict a person’s political alignment 72% of the time, outperforming chance (50%) and human estimation (55%) (footnote omitted).” From there, we learn that you’re not imagining that more attractive people are conservative, while men who are more manly are also conservative. There’s a quick summary: “Leftists are shorter and uglier, and Leftist men are weaker, less masculine, and less capable of fighting — characteristics that are not conducive to success in any human civilization”

It’s Snowing in Middle East for First Time in History

From Armstrong Economics –

COMMENT: Mr. Armstrong, I just wanted to inform you as a loyal reader of your blog, it is snowing here in Kuwait for the first time in history. Your computer is the only non-passionate forecaster I have ever encountered. It relays just the facts without the agenda.

Thank you so much. You have a large group of supporters here in the Middle East.

REPLY: This entire climate change agenda is a hoax. They are not interested in the truth. This is about using climate to restructure society into the one-world order which is why they are supporting Ukrainian Nazis that follow the same beliefs as Adolf Hitler. We have turned 180 degrees from our basic fundamental values. I am deeply concerned that by calling this global warming and now they are experimenting with shooting particles into the atmosphere to “cool” the planet, we may be pushing ourselves into an ice age much faster than anyone suspects. Napoleon was defeated by a Volcanic Winter. These people are risking the entire planet for several volcanoes erupting, and we may not survive by deliberately shooting particles into the atmosphere. All of this is because our current debt system cannot be sustained.”

Tesla owners stuck in huge queue to charge their cars in regional Australia

Some EV owners have had to wait up to 90 minutes just to use a charger, amid calls for more stations across regional Australia.

Australian Tesla drivers returning from Christmas holidays were caught in 90 minute queues just to be able to use a charging port in regional Australia this week.

Footage of massive lines at a charging station on the Victorian border city of Wodonga has prompted calls for more stations to be built in regional areas in a bid to ensure everyone can get home safely.

ABC journalist Phil Williams was caught in the chaos, taking to Twitter to vent his frustration.

“Wodonga Tesla charge points overwhelmed with wait times around 90 mins,” he wrote.

“Basic EV infrastructure failing to keep pace with demand. Time for some serious investment for the future.”

EV drivers in other parts of the country were quick to agree.

Twitter user JohnW said he was facing a similar situation in the northern NSW town of Coffs Harbour, sharing similar photos to the Twitter thread.

It takes Tesla owners up to 60 minutes to fully charge their vehicles from a near empty battery. Combined with the limited charging bays, it’s added up to impatience and frustration for those trying to make it home.

Those with electric cars can pay a premium to use the super chargers, which provide a faster rate of charging than a user would experience at home.

Wodonga only has a single area where EV super chargers can be found, compared to around 11 petrol stations within the same area.

The six individual stations are open 24/7, and provide up to 120kW, but only for those with Teslas; it’s unclear what options are available for those with other vehicle brands.

Others on social media haven’t been sympathetic to the EV drivers.

– “No sympathy,” wrote Twitter user @RoDaz4, “I’m sure they knew the infrastructure wasn’t up to scratch yet when they bought their EVs.”

– While Jan Eisen wrote under the same post: “At least with gas engines you can fill up and be on your way in less than 5 minutes. The convenience factor is kinda obvious here. Just sayin’”.

There’s a lot of barking on the picture wireless about the Quenthland Government’s increased penalties for junior scrotes who do junior scrote stuff.

The problem with this is that it’s an ineffective load of shit, and put out by departmental spinners knowing it won’t have any realistic effect.

Increasing a maximum sentence for Crime X will have no effect whatsoever, because judges take into account different factors which reduce that already effective maximum sentence into a pissweak sentence.

Say for example, Crime X carries a penalty of 10 years in the bin. That’s reduced by what the judge considers to be the level of seriousness of that particular crime committed, pleas of guilty, youth, broken homes, a dropped ice cream as a child and other horseshit excuses put forward by the defence. But that’s not the problem.

The problem is the existing precedent set. A JURDGE must apply a comparative sentence for similar offending committed by somebody else in the past – given that it’s the same offence, albeit with greater sentences on the books.

An appropriate sentence for a junior scrote will therefore be appealed by the defence on the grounds of parity, among other things, because another junior scrote got a good behaviour promise for the same thing the year before. The appeal will get up, and there won’t be any real effect.

The laws are already in place, as are the sentences. They’ve just been terminally weakened over the years by officious hand-patters who know better, and whose wives haven’t been killed in their own home.

I agree that there exists that type of management. My advice, if at all possible, is to move on to another job, contract or run your own business. They generally don’t change their spots. Don’t give them any power over you and make it their problem to replace you. They will lose productivity and money in the long term.

Slowly but shirley the truth will out!

Tolerance is a good thing in most aspects of life. But when it comes to the immune system, artificially juicing up the body to create antibodies with long-term tolerance to a pathogen is a recipe for disaster. Amid thousands of papers on COVID and the vaccines, a new German paper published in Science Immunology should be the headline story this week. Although the subject matter is very dense, the implication of it is that the Pfizer shots (and possibly other mRNA spike protein shots) caused the immune system to misfire, thereby creating an endless feedback loop of viral immune escape, perpetuating the pandemic in the macro, and creating immune suppression for the individuals who received them.

The vexing question of 2022 is why the virus is even still with us to this day. Why is it that so many countries in the Pacific Rim that did so well in 2020 and 2021 now have a bigger problem in 2022 with less virulent strains of COVID? Why does it appear the pandemic will never end and so many people continue to get the virus multiple times? None of this is normal.

Wherever you turn, the most vaccinated countries are not only experiencing rampant side effects from the shots, but worse outcomes from COVID itself following their endless booster campaigns.

So, this is about a lot more than “oh, the vaccines don’t stop transmission.” They appear to proliferate it and also to worsen clinical outcomes. But why?

In ironic, not funny ha-ha news.

The ABC story today.
Victims of youth crime speak out amid calls for victims’ minister in wake of Emma Lovell’s stabbing

ABC last week. (Posted Tue 27 Dec 2022 at 3:18am – reposted at that time- with the title changed)
UN working group backs South Sudanese Australian mothers’ concerns about treatment of youth
Note this title was changed from something like “how Australia is failing African youth”.

In Melbourne’s outer-west, African Australian mothers have for years been crying out for help.

They say their children have been singled out and vilified, leading to too many ending up incarcerated, many with mental health issues.

Now their concerns have been backed by a United Nations working group researching the experiences of people of African descent in communities around the world.

After a visit to Australia earlier this month, the group found the proportion of people from South Sudanese backgrounds in prison and indefinite detention here is not replicated in any other country they have resettled.

Ms Day said the group had been told that people of African descent, and particularly South Sudanese, were over-represented in juvenile detention and prison.

“You have section 501 of the Migration Act, which allows the government to convert people at the end of their prison sentences into this indefinite detention in immigration custody,” she said.

“And this was also a space that was disproportionately black and South Sudanese.”

Sudanese Mothers Coalition in Victoria president Monica Majak said she may not have resettled with her son in Australia if she had been warned about how they would be treated.

Ms Majak said she had fled war for the promise of a better life which had not materialised.

“We came here for the future of our children. We came here for this generation that has been destroyed,” she told the ABC.

“Their future has been ruined. They don’t have any future at all because they push our children away from us.”

Whats going on??
Kids are effectively allowed to be junior scrotes with the parents not having what they are used to (a “tribe”, for want of a better word) which is an extended family group to enforce norms.

As the kids keep offending sooner or later they hit the jackpot and actually offend enough to be jailed.

But not before they
a: Cause justified apprehension based on their race/ethnicity in the community, especially youth groups (which spills over into non-scrotes being treated as potentially a threat, alienating them from Aussie peers)
b: Cause a massive amount of misery to people around them.
c: Absorb a disproportionate amount of community resources and attention, which can just serve to reinforce how ‘special’ they are.

Lviv & Kiev Plunged Into Darkness After ‘Massive’ Missile Attack; Ukrainian S-300 Lands In Belarus

Ukraine has been hit with a “massive” attack of over 120 missiles across the country Thursday, its military and presidency’s office said. “December 29. Massive missiles attack… The enemy is attacking Ukraine from various directions with air and sea-based cruise missiles from strategic aircraft and ships,” Ukraine’s air force said in a public statement.

It marks the largest barrage of missiles since there was weekend talk from both sides of mutual ‘openness’ in getting to the negotiating table. Ukrainian leadership floated the proposal of UN-brokered talks by the end of February, but its insistence on Russian officials facing a war crimes tribunal first was seen in Moscow as not serious and a non-starter.

From the Comments

– Out of the 120 missiles fired Ukrainian armed forces were able to shoot down 238 of them. Sadly a few still hit targets such as an orphanage, children’s hospital, 3 play grounds and a synagogue…

– Ontop of that Putin’s ongoing attacks on Ukraine caused the Black community in Chicago to require even more reparations. Cause you know, White supremacy.

– Lights out … taking care of global warming! Go Go Go … Next time the City of London, Brussels and DC? You can do it VVP?!

It’s worse than that, I’m afraid.

Sudan is one of the most violent and dysfunctional societies in the world, thanks to decades of civil war.

The refugee families have fled to UN camps in neighbouring countries where they’ve lived for years in another sort of violent and dysfunctional milieu without much support.

Does harbouring a virus make you a) more; or b) less susceptible to illness from said virus in the future.

If a) then all of immunity is a lie (including vaccination).

If b) then there is no such thing as asymptomatic infection (including chronic).

Chronic infection and immunity are *contrary* concepts. They cannot co-exist. At least one must be wrong.

Immunologists I met through family reckoned asthma & peanut allergies were an unintended consequence of cleanliness – no more parasitic worms except in rare and short periods.

When our first daughter was born I vacuumed the house three times a day and sanitised everything. When our second daughter was born I was to busy to clean to such an exact ent and standards dropped. The outcome is that our older daughter had childhood allergies and has asthma, the younger daughter did not suffer from any of those problems.

Why are any restriction still in existence in Australia then you dribbling cretins.

Australia will not require travellers from China to provide negative Covid test
Chief medical officer does not rule out future border restrictions but says community has high immunity to current variants

The prime minister, Anthony Albanese, on Thursday backed health advice that said Australia has built up immunity to the variant ravaging China, but he did not rule out travel restrictions in future.

ORLY Mr Luigi the unbelieveable?

A new omicron subvariant is spreading in China. Here’s what we know so far.
By Manal Mohammed published 14 days ago
BF.7 is a new version of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 that’s driving a surge of infection in China.

So its a brand new variant.
But luigi knows the vaccines for the older variants work well.

Reports from China indicate BF.7 has the strongest infection ability(opens in new tab) out of the omicron subvariants in the country, being quicker to transmit than other variants, having a shorter incubation period, and with greater capacity to infect people who have had a previous COVID infection, or been vaccinated, or both.

To put this into context, BF.7 is believed to have an R0, or basic reproduction number, of 10 to 18.6(opens in new tab). This means an infected person will transmit the virus to an average of 10 to 18.6 other people. Research has shown omicron has an average R0 of 5.08(opens in new tab).

The high transmission rate of BF.7, taken with the risk of hidden spread due to the many asymptomatic carriers(opens in new tab), is understood to be causing significant difficulty in controlling the epidemic in China.

Well we see the price for the ‘thaw” with china being played out in real time.

As well as the absolute failure of both the vaccine program and the 2 years of lockdown, both jettisoned to keep Penny diplomacy alive.

I remember the debate quite well. Start pumping a slurry of rusty old iron, sink a few steel ships and a new fishing ground was born.
Even allowing the rivers off the North East coast of Australia to flush some of that iron ore out into the Indian Ocean.
Even pumping our sewage 20 – 30 kilometers out offshore into fishing grounds to replace some of the nitrogen we’d locked up.
But ‘delicate oceanic balance’ and the greens put a stop to that.

It is very interesting that the study shows that Nigeria and the rest of Africa indeed”are done with the pandemic,” with very , low death rates.

Putting aside the fact that Ivermectin is used on a daily prophylactic basis for other viruses, this is exactly what virologist Geert Van Den Bossche predicted a good year ago. He said quite flatly, that “Africa will be the winner” when the dust settles. He has been mocked by his own profession for three years, but maybe he will be right.

The purpose of vaccination is to mimic natural immunity. That’s what we are taught right? Immunity comes from the live virus or dead/attenuated virus but the latter, we are told, is safer.

Immunity comes from antibodies. There is no mimicry, the purpose of vaccination is for the body to generate genuine antibodies.

If you have an asymptomatic (chronic) hep b “infection” you also have a “harmless” portion of the hep b virus in you.

Or are you trying to say it’s the yeast that gives people immunity? In which case, why not substitute vaccination with bread?

So your answer Monty destroys the entire concept of immunity.

Well done.

During an asymptomatic infection, no matter what the disease, you do not have a “harmless portion” of the virus in you. The problem you seem to be having here is believing that a disease has to be binary, that you have it or you don’t. This is patently foolish thinking on your part. The body hosts invasions by countless amounts of virus cells every day, most of which are controlled by the body’s defence systems. Sometimes those defences get overwhelmed, mostly they hold up.

Your failure to grasp concepts understood by primary school children reflects only on you, not on science.

As my daughter came to the farm for Christmas with Covid (!), I have been curious whether my unvaccinated husband and I, having previous had a mild bout of Covid (he about 6 months ago, me – 6 weeks ago) could contract it a second time.

As I am yet to ask my friend Dr. Phillip Altman, about this, I thought I would Google it. I came across one scientific research study:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9106377/

The research team were surprised to find that the unvaccinated were unlikely to be reinfected – an 85% chance of NOT being reinfected.

This is necessarily what I would have expected, either, since, like influenza, you would think you would be susceptible to other variants. Maybe the immune systems of the unvaccinated are more robust than the vaccinated as a result of not being vulnerable to the adjutant of the spike protein.

Although, again, I wonder about the ability of the spike protein to remain in the system of the unvaccinated who have had even one dose of C19.

Some of the vaxxed haven’t managed to pick it up either (and there are many that I’ve been cheeky enough to ask). I can’t get it for love nor money. Neither can my husband nor my parents (although, TBH, the parents are very careful in crowds and don’t go out much anyway).

I was interested to see a link (via rosie) about a nasal vaxx. My immediate thought was you and the First Defence which we used in the vast crowds in the UK and Europe earlier this year. There is absolutely no way the virus was absent in those scenarios, and probably at very high loads, but we got through unscathed. Ruminating on the subject of medicine after reading the comments here. I think that there might be two streams, one very effective, the other much less so.

The very effective stream might be called the engineering stream. It includes most surgery. In the last 50 or so years, this stream has made incredible advances. Think of open-heart surgery, joint replacements, burns treatments. These are usually handled very competently, and the incompetents are usually weeded out quickly (except where politics intervenes, as in Queensland’s Dr Death case).

The less effective stream might be called the nostrums stream. It relies on the products of the pharmaceutical industry, some of which are very effective and useful (think aspirin and paracetamol as very simple examples). Others are more dangerous, and even when the risks are identified, it can be very difficult to get them withdrawn, again because politics (and influence buying) enter the equation.

Just some initial thoughts, to encourage discussion.

A comment from 10.56, and apropos of a discussion from last night:

Let me just point out that it is not a crime to be a ‘dunderhead’ or a ‘serial pest’ or even a ‘cranky old fart’. Other things maybe so.

Like convicted sex offenders, yes. Like ‘cowboy’, ‘well-known’ and ‘campdrafter’ Wayne McLennan.

But imagine the colourless world it would be without them.

No worries. Ask the victims of people like this about ‘colour.’

Joe Biden Signs 4,000-page, $1.7 Trillion Omnibus Bill After Staff Fly It to Virgin Islands Vacation Home

President Joe Biden signed the 4,000-page, $1.7 trillion omnibus bill on Thursday while vacationing in the Virgin Islands.

White House staff had to fly the bloated bill to the President’s vacation home in St. Croix so the president could sign it before the December 30th deadline.

Joe Mulhall, director of research at the group, said, “Mr. Tate poses a genuine threat to young men, radicalizing them towards extremism misogyny, racism, and homophobia. We’ve provided significant evidence to the major social media platforms, including Meta, about his activity and why he must be removed.”

Andrew tate, professional flog, has done something no moral crusader has ever managed to do.

It appears he has succeeded in making it illegal to produce pornography.
This should see a lot of websites banned in the EU immediately Id imagine.

Amazing.
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-12-30/andrew-tate-arrested-romania/101817042
“The four suspects … appear to have created an organised crime group with the purpose of recruiting, housing and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content meant to be seen on specialised websites for a cost,” prosecutors said.

“They would have gained important sums of money.”

Prosecutors said they had found six women who had been sexually exploited by the suspects.

(Yes he is a bald headed flog, but selective justice- isnt)

After a glorious few days over Christmas, yesterday it cooled right down, then started raining. Today still raining, fog rolling in as well and cool enough I am thinking of lighting the fire.

I drove up to Katoomba yesterday for lunch with the two younger grandsons. The top of the mountains were shrouded in mist and drizzle with the temperature hovering in the high teens. Yeah, not much of a summer so far.

Guess a bout of Guillaine-Barre suggested you shouldn’t really muck around with auto immune stuff either. And reading too much Taleb. I don’t think we will ever be told the truth of it – if it can ever be disentangled from what has already been written already

The truth will be known but probably not until those responsible are gone, at present they have the power to stop the truth coming out.

BRITTANY Higgins – not a victim of any known crime – recently demanded and received a seven-figure bonanza from Australian taxpayers because the Albanese government thought she’d earned it. Despite there being no proof she was ever sexually assaulted, the public prosecutor in the ACT seems to have rolled the dice on the likelihood that no jury so bombarded with incitement to lynch would ever acquit the innocent man accused of raping her. Feminists honoured, praised, awarded and mobbed Higgins like some sort of secular Mary MacKillop. Why? Because her allegations were damaging to a Liberal government. This week, a 41 year-old Brisbane mother was stabbed to death in her own home, in front of her two children, after another public prosecutor decided an up-and-coming Mansonite deserved a break. Have there been any “calls” – let alone “growing calls” – for the Queensland Premier to be blamed on the same ‘Buck Stops Here’ basis deployed to frame Scott Morrison? No. Why not? It would be damaging to a Labor government.

It’s being reported tonight by the Courier Mail that one of the 17 year-olds who shoved a blade into Emma Lovell’s chest and her husband Lee’s back at the couple’s North Lakes home on Boxing Day also knifed lawyer Aaron Anderson during a home invasion in the suburb of St Lucia last year. The Courier has a police photograph of the weapon used on that occasion. Steel like that has but one purpose. “I collapsed to the ground and said to my wife ‘I think I’m gone’,” Mr Anderson says. He was rushed to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for emergency surgery.

The perpetrator and his accomplice were charged with attempted murder but this was downgraded to unlawful wounding. Both were convicted and sentenced but, inexplicably, were already free last week. Seven News reports that one of the them was arrested again on Christmas Eve on multiple charges but was bailed on Boxing Day – despite strong police objections. Hours later, he allegedly murdered Mrs Lovell. “The time for action is now,” Annastacia Palaszczuk declared while unveiling a hurriedly brainstormed list of “reforms” yesterday. No, the time for action was a year ago – at least. Had she attended to her responsibilities as energetically as she attended red carpet soirées Mrs Lovell might be alive to see in the New Year.

Politico calls Meghan Markle a narcissist, gets labeled ‘racist’

The nerve. Just because a D-list celebrity repeatedly thrusts herself into the public eye while pleading for privacy doesn’t make her a narcissist; and if you say so, you’re just a racist.

On December 26, Politico’s Joanna Weiss authored an opinion piece which opened with:

Narcissists had their moment in the sun. But in 2022, some of them got their comeuppance and some of them got worse: our disinterest.

but apparently she had a stroke of objectivity, as she also noted Meghan Markle. Of course, I’d suspect a large number of conservative thinkers would agree with Weiss’ assessment, myself included. According to Weiss:

All of them [on the list] used attention as currency and ego as fuel, and were rewarded, for a time, with what they craved. We’re drawn to people who love themselves.

Weiss went on:

But somewhere between the fifth and sixth hour of ‘Harry and Meghan,’ the new Netflix documentary series produced by the former Duke and Duchess of Sussex and filmed at their California mansion — which suggests that there is no one more in love, no one more socially conscious, no one more aggrieved

— my natural sympathy for the couple started turning to irritation, and it occurred to me that ego has its limits.

Apparently though, Weiss betrayed the left’s groupthink, as enraged followers came out against the author, demanding an apology; some even designated her work as a “racist.”

not really, genetic anti cancer therapy is already here, anti aging is on the way, baby editing isn’t far behind. only the uber rich will be able to afford most of it or those lucky enough to have it bestowed upon them by socialist medical systems.

Boambee John:
I’ve repeatedly said that when the line between living and starving becomes a very fine one, ANY benefit you can get from someone else without expending any effort yourself is the only valid survival option you can follow.
This is obvious in Aboriginal Australia, but just as obvious with the Sudanese et al tribes in Africa.
The problem is that it should be only a short term solution to starvation and extreme poverty. It never stays that way as the demand for free goods is never satisfied.
That’s why in the photo attached, all are overweight, all have no problem dressing themselves, but the hand is still held out for more. And the hand patters will provide it because the means to supply that extra doesn’t come from their pockets – it comes from the Taxpayer.
In fact I’d say that well over 90% of the group photo are taxpayer subsidised either by government largesse or government employment.
