Listened for 2 hours at farm to Rogan interview of Trump then had visitor at the farm. Just tuned in to QLD results. Seems to me that Katter Party may decide the result through preferences. But that is with a few minutes assessment .

Credlin just put some Labor Stooge Beta Male back in his diaper regarding babies born alive after abortion!
How did we get to this point? There shouldn’t be abortions after the first trimester, and this shouldn’t be an election issue. It’s cynical and nasty that it is used by the left. How much further down the moral barrel are we to go?

And while we’re on freaking dumb articles on the US election published by their ABC, here’s another:

Could little-known presidential contender Jill Stein hand the election to Donald Trump?
No. Just like she didn’t back in 2016. The assumption that Jill Stein voters would have voted for Hillary and now would vote for Kamala – but for Jill Stein’s candidacy!!! – is just so breathtakingly boneheaded that I don’t know where to start. The Dems don’t own these voters. Without Jill Stein, the vast majority of them simply wouldn’t have voted.

I don’t disagree but the LNP should have been prepared for this.

Labor always do ‘scare campaigns’ and they always do them well.

As I wrote this morning, Crisafooli and the LNP, by always chasing their tails, by always being too timid on everything, by always metooing, have just shrunk and shrunk and shrunk.

OK I’m out.

In fairness, no hiring manager is going to believe a convicted felon’s claim they didn’t do nuffink and the judge was biased, honest guv. ABCess is being realistic on that point.

On the specifics I assume the ABC was referencing (IIRC) Trump being found guilty of the crime of concealing another crime of misappropriation of campaign funds in paying off Stormy, despite the prosecution having never proved the campaign funds were misappropriated (so it wasn’t concealing a crime).

LNP set to win Mackay for first time

The former Labor stronghold of Mackay is set to flip to the Liberal National Party for the first time.
With 20 per cent of the vote counted, the LNP’s Nigel Dalton, with 41 per cent of the primary vote, leads Labor newcomer Belinda Hassan on 31.5 per cent.
One Nation candidate Kylee Stanton is in third position, with 12 per cent.
It’s a remarkable result given Mackay’s long history of voting for Labor, even in 2012 during the Campbell Newman landslide victory.

33 Reasons to Vote for Trump – Bill Ackman

Summary: In this episode of TRIGGERnometry, billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman discusses his reasons for supporting Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election. He offers insights into his views on American politics, the role of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies, and various domestic and international issues. Ackman expresses concerns about the current state of America, including government inefficiencies, media biases, and immigration policies. He emphasizes the importance of strong leadership, outlines the need for economic growth, and critiques the Democratic party’s direction. Throughout the discussion, Ackman provides a rationale for his support of Trump, considering him more capable of addressing these critical issues compared to the Democratic nominee. ### Key Points by Section: **00:44 – Why Get Involved In Politics?** – Ackman feels a responsibility to engage in politics due to his good fortune. – He shares how social media enables him to influence discussions and potentially policy. **02:09 – Is America In A Healthy State?** – Ackman compares America to a once-great business that has lost its way. – He believes America is vulnerable and needs strong leadership to recover. **05:35 – Are DEI Policies Ruining America?** – Ackman expresses concern that DEI policies are distorting meritocracy and promoting a dangerous ideology. – He links the rise of this ideology to increased division within society. **12:18 – Do We Have A Culture Of Cowardice?** – He discusses how fear and cowardice prevent talented individuals from entering politics. – Ackman believes that a larger group needs to stand up against prevailing orthodoxy. **13:55 – Why Don’t The Best People Run For Office?** – Ackman points out that talented individuals are discouraged from running for fear of being attacked or criticized. **18:51 – The Media Denial Over Joe Biden’s Health** – He criticizes mainstream media for downplaying concerns about Biden’s cognitive health. **22:12 – Why Bill Is Voting For Donald Trump** – Ackman outlines various reasons for supporting Trump, including dissatisfaction with the Democratic party’s direction. – He prioritizes effective foreign policy and domestic management. **35:57 – How Does The US Have An Open Border?** – Discusses the lack of effective border control and raises concerns about unvetted immigration. – He connects immigration policy to political strategy regarding potential new voters for Democrats. **40:23 – Solving The Huge Levels Of Debt** – Ackman emphasizes the importance of growing the economy to manage national debt. – He advocates for reducing regulations and stimulating business growth. **47:12 – Is Trump Really That Divisive?** – He counters the narrative of Trump being highly divisive by noting the strong support he continues to enjoy. **51:36 – Will Abortion Rights Be A Factor In The Election?** – Ackman believes abortion will be one of the issues but doesn’t see it as the single deciding factor for most voters. **56:15 – What’s The One Thing We’re Not Talking About?** – Highlighting progress compounding, Ackman states that small changes in growth rates can lead to significant societal improvements. – He expresses optimism about a potential Trump administration’s ability to create economic growth. In summary, Ackman’s rationale for supporting Trump focuses on economic growth, effective governance, and a return to a more pragmatic approach in addressing political and social issues within the U.S.

At 52% counted the LNP are ahead of ALP by just as many seats as are still in doubt, meaning the ALP could not overtake the LNP. It’s fair to call it for the LNP at this point.

One of the good stories from the election. Via Courier Mail.

LNP supporters were elated as news spread Russell Field had won the seat of Capalaba.
Cheers ignited at the Cleveland Party, with an emotional Mr Field hugged by several of his party members.
His first words after the win, “we’re ordering pizzas!”
There were tears from many has crowds then began chanting “Russell” as he embraced his wife.
“We’ve said before we can’t let Matt, Kate and Miles’ deaths be in vain and hopefully this is something we can achieve … some good for ourselves and others to give … Matt and Kate a legacy.”
Mr Field said he received a message from Labor candidate Don Brown who sent his best wishes after conceding his long-held seat.
“I’ve since rung him and we’ve had a discussion but he’s a character where we see sort of mostly different sides of the coin but the whole campaign was reasonably fair all across the board,” he
said.

Sniveller news (the CM):

Outgoing premier Steven Miles has refused to congratulate his opponent in a late-night speech to party faithful lauding Labor’s “extraordinary” effort in avoiding a predicted landslide defeat.

Nice. Real nice.

He did not concede the election outright but said Labor would not be able to form a majority government.

Or, in fact, any government.

The premier rattled off a laundry list of criticisms of the LNP and refused to congratulate his opponent.

Sooky nancy boy. It’s almost as though he expected a different result.

Labor powerbroker Graham Richardson described Mr Miles’ speech as “ungracious” and “pathetic”.

Yep. This was in Miles’ speech:

“I’d like to thank my mum and dad, my sister Kate and my late grandparents, you all led me to win … and thanks to Bridie, for being in my weird lunch videos,” he said.

Led you to win? You didn’t win anything. However, Miles did have someone in his corner:

Former deputy prime minister Wayne Swan said Mr Miles had campaigned better than “any leader seen in my 40 years of campaigning around the nation”.

Mr Swan. I extend to you the opportunity to eat shit.

Watching the ABC broadcast on the electric television, it was interesting to watch the odious Cameron Dick morphing from sneering Crisafulli critic and Miles cheerleader.

After Miles giggled and bragged and bagged out the LNP and generally farted at Queenslanders in his embarrassing speech, and the result confirmed a majority LNP government, and Crisafulli rather too generously congratulated Miles on his service while claiming victory – Dick suddenly became the Party Elder Statesman, all discrete and dignified.

You give the ABC far too much credit, which is always a mistake. And your analogy misses the point entirely. You are not comparing apples with apples (as the ABC was not). Trump’s popularity is in part due to the fact he is an obvious victim of a weaponised judicial system. The extent to which he is a “convicted felon” under the auspices of this corrupt system helps rather than harms him.

Incidentally, Trump is not a convicted felon. To my understanding, you become a convicted felon upon sentencing, and Trump has not been sentenced and probably never will be.

About Covid, I never got involved in the discussion, but recently I made a, to me, innocent remark about the rapid development of the vaccine.

Surprise return comment;

“The vaccine was actually in development for decades.

The extra money and push due to the seriousness of the pandemic just allowed them to finish it.

It’s actually quite a win for science, but to the public it looked like they just threw it out there.”

Can this be true?
Did we know the virus existed?

Also when I pointed out the lack of flu infection at the time, they scoffed and said it was social distancing what’s done it.

Just piss off, Nazi, you’re a disgrace. Here’s an idea, Nazi boy, no doubt your Hamas buddies are having another Jew hating festival today somewhere in Melbourne’s CBD, you should go join them, you fit right in.

Oh and I note you’ve never said one word of condemnation about the raped women of October 7 2023 or the butchered children and babies of October 7 2023. But this we know, you support rape and murder, the caveat being it just depends on who is being raped and murdered. Just like you support political violence against those whose opinions you don’t like.

That might just be the reality check some people need. Many see abortion as a disconnected “right”, it even has to be dressed up as a “reproductive right”, so as not to scare the horses.

To actually see what it is in reality might change a few minds. I’ve held a 32 week baby in my hands. How anyone could imagine killing her for convenience is beyond me.

Yesterday in London there was a much smaller counter-protest to the patriot protest. The smaller protest was organised by far-left Nazi scum. Of course, that protest seethed threats, intimidation and violence. The far-left Nazi scum’s advertising of its counter-protest said it would be a rally to protest the far-right, Islamophobia and anti-Semitism. It’s just that no Zionists are welcome! And at the the Nazi Pallie rally there was NO Israeli flags to be seen. No, no, no. Just lots of Pallie Nazi flags and shouts of the genocidal ‘from the river to sea‘. LOL. So much for protesting against Jew hatred. Of course, the overflowing fountains of Jew hatred aren’t found with the British patriots, no, they’re found among the far-left Nazi scum.

Probably a lot more since this was just one batch. No doubt the activists have been working for weeks if not years to set things up solidly.

genghis trump

i think people are really misunderstanding the trump phenomenon.

they ask “how can you like this guy!?!”

but this is the wrong question.

the correct question is “do you want to burn the existing system to the ground and is this an appropriate agent of retribution to do it?”

and an awful lot of people have become awfully emphatic in their answers on this one because the preening, entitled arrogance of the most useless and unaccountable aristocrats in human history and the debacle upon debacle they ceaselessly beget have passed the point of tolerability.

and it has awakened nemesis.

Doesn’t look like the IDF needs to waste any expensive ordnance on Ayatollah Khamenei.

Iran’s Supreme Leader believed very ill, report says (26 Oct)

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, 85, is believed to be seriously ill, The New York Times reported.

According to the report, there are internal concerns in Iran that 55-year-old Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, Khamenei’s second son, may be appointed his successor.

On the other hand it is the New York Slimes, which is a regime mouthpiece for the fossil in the White House, so it might be a psyop to inhibit the Israelis from retaliating for the drone attack on Netanyahu’s house.

If challenged by the states, I suspect the Supreme Court would find national abortion laws unconstitutional. The Court basically delegated the issue of abortion to the states, so I doubt it would allow the federal government to reclaim authority over it.

A bit more interesting detail of the IDF strike on Iran is starting to come out.

Report: Damage to Iran missile factory will take two years to repair (26 Oct)

Two Iranian officials told The New York Times that among Iran’s S-300 air defense system, located at the Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran and intended to protect Tehran, was among the approximately 20 sites struck in Israel’s retaliatory attack Friday night.

One of the officials is a member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps.

According to the sources, at least three Revolutionary Guards bases were struck in Tehran, and the “secret” military base in Parchin was struck by one drone; two others were shot down. …

Elaph, a Saudi Arabian news site, reported that Israel struck a missile factory containing heavy fuel mixers used to power the Khaybar and Qassem ballistic missiles used in the October 1 strike. The site, which cited an informed source, added that the factory was completely destroyed and will take two years to repair.

S-300s are seriously capable AA missile systems, yet they didn’t even muss the hair of the four F-16 ladies who participated in the airstrike. And the rocket fuel factory sounds like it might’ve gone up with a very respectable kaboom.

Nice, tidy win by the libs in Queensland. The result is close enough to keep them on their toes instead of going full Campbell Newman—trying to ban motorcycles and then losing not only their massive majority but the government as well.

I really have my doubts about Criss-Folly (Crisafulli). In his post-election speech, he mentioned how great it was that, as the son of a former factory worker, he rose to this height, saying it made Australia a wonderful country. Isn’t that a putdown to anyone with what he considers a ‘lowly’ job? How about acknowledging that his dad had an honest, respectable job? How about not saying anything at all, instead of picking up crap used by US pols.?

Queensland is the strongest LNP state at the moment.

It very well could be, Fatboy. But keep this in mind—it might just make those ugly reddish hairs on your back stand up on end.
After the Rudd win, the election cycle saw wall-to-wall Labor across the nation. Keep this nightmare in mind each night to scare yourself to death.

Speculators like you love chaos as a way to suck more money, of course.

What’s my take? He’s bullshitting. There’s no way the country could sustain current federal spending levels solely through tariffs.
U.S. imports are just under $4 trillion annually. Meanwhile, federal government spending is about 25% of GDP, or roughly $6 trillion.
To keep things steady—assuming no other changes—tariffs would have to increase by 150%. And that’s without accounting for the likely fallout in both imports and exports.
He may, however, hike tariffs by 10% and lower corporate tax rates to 15%, alongside reducing income taxes. He’s also determined to challenge China.
I’m fine with pushing back on the CCP, but I’m more cautious on the tariffs. Income tax cuts are a slight positive, though.
He often cites President McKinley’s tariff policies as inspiration, but here’s the problem:
While McKinley did raise tariffs, he started reversing them once he realized they didn’t work as well as hoped. Also, federal spending in McKinley’s era was around 3% of GDP—far below today’s level.
If he wins—and I doubt it, given the lengths the organized crime racket you support will go to by trying to massively cheat—Trump plans to bring in some serious talent. They’d aim to cut massive waste, saving around $1 trillion annually. Washington-based civil servants should probably be concerned for their jobs.

Speculators like you love chaos as a way to suck more money, of course.

Not really. Choas means chaotic markets, which are great for market makers as the spreads between bid and offer widens. Traders like strong trends even short term ones, but mostly trends.

You could probably get a pretty good kaboom out of an electric bus too.

Dortmund Germany Delays Transition To Electric Buses Due To High Costs, Will Purchase Diesel Buses (26 Oct)

Blackout News reports that costs of switching to electric buses are almost impossible to manage without state funding. A diesel bus only costs around 400,000 euros, whereas an electric bus costs around 800,000 euros. This makes the switch to electric vehicles expensive even with government subsidies. “Without financial support from the German government, replacing the remaining 155 diesel buses with electric vehicles would cost around 140 million euros. That is almost three times as expensive as purchasing new diesel buses.”

Meanwhile German drivers are continuing to back away from EVs as the virtue seeking gloss wears off them.

Chinese EV Battery Maker SVOLT Shuttering Operations In Europe Due To Trade War, Poor Demand (26 Oct)

SVOLT, linked to Great Wall Motor, will close its German subsidiaries and lay off staff, according to a source.

Poor EV sales and financial pressures have driven Chinese battery maker SVOLT to shut all of its European operations, including its Frankfurt office, according to the same report. …

Meanwhile, just like in the U.S., the EV market in Europe is cooling. New car sales in the EU dropped 18% in August, with Germany down 28%, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association. EV market share fell 44%, with Chinese brand BYD selling only 218 cars in Germany, or 0.1% of the country’s EV sales.

And the BYD EVs are cheap if not exactly cheerful. Probably not helped by the exorbitant electricity prices in Germany.

Given that not one Greens candidate got elected in Qld this suggests to me that the following applied:

  1. Voters rejected The Green’s policies en masse
  2. Voters did not trust the Greens
  3. Voters saw voting for the Greens as a waste of their vote
  4. Voters wanted to punish the Greens for their actions and campaigns
  5. Voters did not want the Greens to hold the balance of power

I wonder how many voters in QLD reviewed the Greens election policies for their state. Talk about pixieland. Free stuff everywhere, plus more renewables for “cheap” (read expensive, non-reliable energy), higher royalties on mining (kill the golden goose that feeds you), break up the supermarket chains to bring prices down (it would do the opposite) and start a bank with no fees (Lah lah land). Cameron Dick leaves door open to leadership challenge

Labor’s deputy leader Cameron Dick is considering running for the Labor leadership, declaring the party needs to regain the trust of the regions on issues such as crime.
Mr Dick – the Deputy Premier and Treasurer in Steven Miles’s ALP government – said under party rules, the leadership would automatically be spilled, and said he has not yet made a decision whether he would run or not.
Asked whether Mr Miles should stay on as Opposition leader, Mr Dick pointedly refused to say.
“It’s too early,” he said, flagging he would be “reaching out” to his colleagues to talk about what should happen next.
“I honestly have not made a decision yet.”
Mr Dick said the party needed to “heal a little bit” but needed to “have a good look at ourselves”.
“Whoever is the leader…has to rebuild trust in regional Queensland,” he said.
The Woodridge MP said Labor lost trust on crime, particularly in the regions, where the ALP government appears to have lost seats it has held for more than a hundred years, including Mackay.
On Saturday night, Mr Miles did not concede defeat to Liberal National Party leader David Crisafulli, and failed to congratulate his opponent or acknowledge his family, as is traditional.
In a defiant speech, he said he would “never stop holding the LNP to account,” a statement some in his party interpreted as him indicating he wanted to stay on as Opposition leader.
Labor strategists and MPs will be doing the numbers on the remade caucus and factional breakdown.
The other leadership contender is Shannon Fentiman, she and Mr Miles are both of the left faction, which was dominant in the Palaszczuk and Miles governments.
Mr Dick is from the Right faction.

The fact that the USA is split between Trump and Harris tells you that half the population is either completely stupid or complicit in the great reset. I think mostly the former, but with the Dems and most of the media backing Harris, and with otherwise smart people like Harold Ford Jnr. and Jessica Tarlov firmly on the left’s team, there is a large cohort that are complicit and basically wishing for the USA to go down just like the statues went down.

Dickless projecting. Trump is not bound by conventional economics like leftoids and RINOs and other faux conservatives: that is why he turned the US into an economic powerhouse in his first term. One of the benefits of tariffs is they can regulate commie and muzzie slave economies which strategically dump on the West their artificially cheaper products. This is the fatal weakness of globalism which the idiots in the West signed us up to under the commie leadership of the UN. Trump knows this, leftoids don’t or do and don’t care.

The only thing that stuck out a bit is that you seemed to hear a lot more from Cameron Dick than the others, although that could have been because he spent most of his time living up to his surname and thus was more noticeable.

Miles’s non-concession speech was as surreal as it was mean-spirited. Taking nasty jabs at the (former) opposition as if the campaign was still running and then talking as if he’d won. Stay classy, Stevo. Why was he going on about his election promises as if they’d been enacted and were a raging success? Bizarre. Quite a contrast with Crisafulli’s gracious victory speech who came straight out of the gate thanking/praising Miles and the Liars (sounds like a band name). Sure, he’d likely had the advantage of watching Miles’s extremely ill-considered speech and wisely decided he would adopt a very different posture, but still.

You get the impression that Miles’s speech would have been the speech Hillary would have given on election night back in 2016 if she’d had the stones to give one rather than sending the pizza guy out instead.

Why can’t we have a debate about late term abortions at least?

Indeed Roger. I had my rant last night about 2nd & 3rd trimester terminations and the fact we gaol people for lesser animal cruelty offences.

Unfortunately 99% of the media and even some members of the LNP aren’t mature enough for that conversation.

Last couple of weeks has just proved that.

The filth gone in QLD is great but I worry about Crisafulli. The first thing this guy has to do is meet up with Lia Finocchiaro who has balls bigger than Crisafulli’s head: they should merge their efforts on youth crime and crime in general, energy, both have to endorse Duttie’s nuclear while supporting the continuation of coal in the interim, and reducing the destructive impact of woke issues, particularly the 3rd nations bullshit. With Lia by his side Crisafulli should be able to negate the abortion issue, something Duttie should do as well with the addition and support of some of the other ballsy ladies such as Jacinta.

As has been noted, a win is a win. Starts with no political capital and a district lack of promise.

Witches Claim They’re Finding It Too Hard to Cast Spells Against Trump Because of Some ‘Protection’ (26 Oct)

Strap yourselves in for this one, folks. You think you know TDS, but the witch community — it exists, and they outnumber CNN viewers — hate Donald Trump so much that they’re attempting to cast spells on him in order to force him to lose the 2024 election, or maybe even possibly, a lot more than that. But they seem to be having trouble.

They do have form, since they spent all of Trump’s presidency casting spells at him every crescent moon, none of which worked.

Agree but it wouldn’t be something the Libs would take to an election. The ALP would run the mother of all scare campaigns over it and it would likely work.

And to be honest I doubt most in the Liberal party room care all that much about it anyway. The Nats maybe moreso.

And ultimately the Libs haven’t got the balls to take a principled position on anything that hasn’t been thoroughly poll-tested (preferably at an actual poll).

I still despise the Libs, incidentally. Will never forgive nor forget their shameful enabling of and acquiescence to the COVID tyrannies enacted by the state governments of this fallen country. And at the state level they were just as bad, just as weak.

Labor and Coalition label Greens ‘extremists’ as the minor party suffers devastating blow in Queensland election (Sky News, 27 Oct)

he Queensland election results have dealt a devastating blow to the Greens, which has teetered on the brink of losing both seats in the state legislature.

The staggering outcome has sparked a rare moment of bipartisan opposition between the Coalition and Labor as the minor party was labelled as “extremists” by both sides of parliament.

Employment Minister Murray Watt and Nationals leader David Littleproud both condemned the Greens during appearances on Sunday Agenda with Andrew Clennell.

Having Watt and Littleproud on the same page is fairly amazing. I think the Greens might just’ve screwed the pooch. Unfortunately that probably means more Teals, but they at least don’t seem to be as rabid.

Women are (largely) one-issue voters for abortion—and they’re keeping the Democrats afloat – American Thinker

Sad but true, Olivia Murray lifts the lid on the shallowness of women voters in the USA. Like Zippster she endorses disenfranchising them.
Given the left-green-teal-media juggernaut ensuring permanent leftist victory, I tend to agree. Of course it won’t happen.

As I stated, political cowards.

This is how you end up with a country where you can’t be seen to be praying silently in the vicinity of an abortion clinic without being arrested but a mob can march down a main street chanting antisemitic slogans and waving terrorist flags with impunity.

The military is no doubt transitioning in more ways than one.

Imagine the logistics train for an electric-powered army. You’d need enormous mobile batteries in the rear. They’d be quite a target too. If the enemy hit one of them there wouldn’t be much left of anything within a couple hundred metres of it. And all of those vehicles would grind to a halt and likely need to be abandoned. Options to obtain energy from alternative sources would be, at best, extremely limited if not non-existent. Such a terrible idea.

Beware, though…the Green voter still lurks in inner city Brisbane.

I too am delighted to see the Greens rubbed out of Parliament – and also the failure of their strategic runs at urban seats. I suspect this might be related to leakage of ‘latte soft left’ and ‘concerned environmentalist’ voters, disgusted by Green Marxist activism on the national stage, flipping back to Labor.

The puzzling thing is that there doesn’t appear to have been a significant fall in the overall Greens vote compared to 2020. The count isn’t finalised, however the preliminary numbers show the Greens again picked up ~9.5% of first preferences, with a possible slight reduction in total numbers.

At this stage, my conclusion is that the Green vote still lurks in Brisbane – but its distribution has somehow changed. Although I’m not at all sure how or why that might be.

It’s a question that needs answers.

I went to buy a set of cartridges for my very old HP copier yesterday. I came home, removed the old ones, and installed the new cartridges, but I got a message saying the new cartridges were faulty. I went back, showed them a picture of the fault, and they were happy to replace them. I then came home and installed the new ones, but the same fault message came up. So, back I went, but this time I just replaced the printer with a new one. They were actually good enough to take the redundant cartridges back too.

The printer was $269, and the refund for the cartridges was $254 so the additional out of pocket was $15. I find this incredible. I’m guessing, like similar products that require recurring replacements, they keep the cost of the device low and then hit you hard on the replacements.

Here’s the point though. It appears that the replacement parts are now so expensive – so price inflated- that it is just as economic replacing an old printer with a new one every time you run out.

My purchase was $252 for three toners, while I bought the larger black toner about a month ago which cost me $117 bringing the total to $369 – $100 more than a brand new one! HP appears to be way out of whack with their pricing model.

Surely ham and pineapple.

Pizza inadvertently infused with THC sickens dozens in Wisconsin (MedXpress, 26 Oct)

Pizza inadvertently laced with THC has apparently sickened dozens of people in Wisconsin.

Health officials in Dane County say Famous Yeti’s Pizza in Stoughton, about 20 miles (32 kilometers) southeast of Madison, served pizza contaminated with THC, the principal psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, from Monday through Thursday. Paramedics alerted health officials on Thursday that they had transported five people who said they had gotten sick after eating pizza at the restaurant.

Health officials said they have received dozens of reports of people who got sick from the pizza and are still taking reports. A full tally will be available in a final report, they said.

The officials said a restaurant cook ran out of oil, went into a shared commercial kitchen in the same building and mistakenly took a jug of oil off a shelf that contained Delta-9, a form of THC.

Famous Yeti is a great name for a pizzeria! And clearly their pizzas are very tasty.

Captain Obvious and Sore Loser news (the CM):

In the end it was all about children: feeding them sandwiches or locking them up.

As the good people of Townsville, Mackay and Capalaba demonstrated with conviction on Saturday, curbing youth crime is what matters most to Queenslanders, not doling out lunches in primary schools.

The most tin-eared, ill-considered platform, conceived effectively on the eve of an election in recent history.

David Crisafulli’s adult crime adult time pledge was a clear winner this election, while Steven Miles’ sangas failed to cut the mustard.

Yet Mr Miles was so in love with this bizarre idea – making silly TikTok videos about a scheme that would slug taxpayers more than $1.4bn – that he couldn’t help himself from banging on about it again last night.

What should have been a concession speech became a sales pitch for being re-elected, which made me wonder if he had been given the wrong polling data.

He’d been given the wrong advice. Potentially more accurately, his advisers failed to say ‘Mr Premier, that’s a shit idea and absolutely will not resonate with taxpaying homeowners sick of having their stuff broken and cars stolen’.

The election is over, Mr Miles. You lost. Forget the damned sandwiches.

The defeated Premier’s speech was immature and, as Labor stalwart Graham Richardson observed, “ungracious”.

In refusing to congratulate David Crisafulli, Mr Miles came across as a spoilt child. In refusing to concede defeat, he appeared deluded.

I guarantee that somewhere in Quenthland Labor HQ, there’s a big-screen TV with an expensive champagne bottle sticking out of it, Hillary-style.

Another faux-working class buffoon falling back to earth.

Thok.
