Interesting data. The first divergence neatly matches the date of emergence of climate crap, and the second is of course due to the covid scam.

“I would rather have questions that can’t be answered than answers that can’t be questioned.”

Scientific method is trustworthy, but results must always be questioned. Any scientist who doesn’t understand that is no longer a scientist but a propagandist for a cause.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/jan/31/kamala-harris-pipe-bomb-january-6-report
Kamala Harris, then vice-president-elect, drove within yards of a pipe bomb left outside the Democratic National Committee on January 6 2021 and remained inside for nearly two hours before the bomb was found, it was reported on Monday.

Harris’s proximity to the bomb was known previously, but not how close or for how long. CNN reported the new details in the case, part of alarming events in Washington on the day Congress met to certify Joe Biden’s election victory over Donald Trump.

A pipe bomb was also left near the Republican National Committee. More than a year later, no suspect has been named or apprehended.

Happy Chinese New Year

Nice Mr Xi seems apprehensive of the new year. He’s shacked up in his bunker.

Xi Jinping Is Watching His Back (28 Jan, via Instapundit)

Chinese President Xi Jinping’s image may be all over the news these days, but in real life, Xi has all but vanished from the world stage. Hunkering down in Beijing for more than 700 days, Xi was a no-show at last year’s United Nations General Assembly, the G-20 summit in Rome, and the U.N. climate summit in Glasgow, Scotland. Xi’s disappearing act is occurring at the same time he and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) face serious domestic headwinds, including rampant energy shortages, rising unemployment, and a real estate market teetering on the edge of collapse.

Times have clearly changed since before the COVID-19 pandemic, when Xi confidently boasted about ushering in a new, China-centric global order. Xi’s refusal to go abroad clearly reflects his fervent desire to stay on top of any renewed coronavirus outbreaks, the second-order effects of which have paralyzed China’s industrial output. But the pandemic alone cannot explain Xi’s refusal to leave his seat of power—or to shelve, however temporarily, his grand international ambitions.

Instead, if Xi’s latest pronouncements are any indication, there is something else keeping him awake at night: growing fears about resistance to his rule from factions inside the CCP.

A wounded dragon might be quite dangerous. We live in interesting times.

Well just saw a bloke in Albury who has started salvaging framing timber, he’s making good money, well worth his time to do what has to be done, including demolition.

Particularly ceiling and floor joists and rafters (less check outs than studs). Get in the roof of any house over fifty years old and the timber will be way better than anything you will get at the Green Shed.
Oregon a lot of it, and some of it close to what we would call furniture grade these days.

Time for a Public Reckoning in the Pell Case

A grave injustice was reversed when the High Court of Australia vindicated Cardinal George Pell and restored him to liberty on April 7, 2020. What the world could not have known then, and what readers of all three volumes of Cardinal Pell’s Prison Journal have now discovered, is that the cardinal put his 404 days of imprisonment, most of them in solitary confinement, to good use. He prayed, not least for victims of clerical sexual abuse. He read, studied, and deepened this thinking about the contemporary situation of the Catholic Church, about his native Australia, about reform in the Vatican, and about a troubled world. He participated in the work of his defence team. And he produced a prison memoir that is a shining testament to the power of faith, hope and charity to see a man through the most difficult of circumstances.

Thanks to these journals, and thanks to the dignity and equanimity with which he has borne himself since his release from prison (not least in an hour-long interview with Australian broadcaster Andrew Bolt), Cardinal George Pell has become a spiritual hero to many. That this is to the consternation and fury of the cardinal’s many enemies is a source of considerable satisfaction to his friends. But not, I think, to George Pell himself. For as these journals have revealed, he is a much bigger man than his persecutors and his rabid critics. He holds no grudges. That they do is to their further shame.

I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore.
I am starting an Upticker’s Convoy.

Good for you, Sancho. Be a truck pied-piper, there’s a dear, and get them away from here.

But while we’re on the subject, and in the light of your views upthread which deserve reply, Arky really did get done in here by firstly, believing in his own uptickers, and then by being heavily slaughtered by some later upticking. He was going through a very difficult time and I think there should have been more understanding about that here. I haven’t been in touch with him since he left, but he did contact me personally before that about how much the Cat was affecting his mental health. He did share here so much that was important to him: his Model A, burned out in the fire being just one of Arky’s ways of joining in. Remember too the forays into video journalism, and his Mr. Fit running excursions and his discovery of his writing voice (with a touch of Headmaster hubris re axing comments).

Same as me, though I’ve never wanted to axe people. I’ve shared a lot here, all of it from my true life, and I’ve written some often very informed commentary on many different things over the years. I don’t think I deserve the opprobrium that I collect from a paranoid woman’s crazy utterances about my presence here followed by her sententious seeking of approval by fakely mild-mannered but nevertheless self-aggrandizing commentary re something on the ABC or Watts Up.

You have to have a cast-iron emotional constitution to withstand some ferocious upticking attacks here. I don’t have that, but I still persevere here because I have learned from life’s lessons that you shouldn’t let bastardry, often psychotic or deliberately malicious and even envious, grind you down.

Sometimes though, the game is hardly worth the candle. Sky After Dark may do it better.

Speaking of recycled building materials.
Watched a show on SBS last night about the restoration of Castle Howard in Yorkshire.
They pulled off the lead roof sheets, sent them to a foundry where they cast new roof sheets and sent them back.
I assumed lead sheet was just rolled from a big block.
The casting process was fascinating.
They have this long tray which they fill with damp sand, trowel the sand perfectly flat, then pour the molten lead over it.
Voilà!
Instant lead sheet.

Japanese firm says ivermectin shows ‘antiviral effect’ against Covid-19

The controversial drug ivermectin shows an “antiviral effect” against Covid-19, a Japanese drug company said on Monday.

In September, Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) banned doctors from prescribing ivermectin off-label.

General practitioners are now only able to prescribe ivermectin for TGA-approved conditions, such as scabies and certain parasitic infections.

“These changes have been introduced because of concerns with the prescribing of oral ivermectin for the claimed prevention or treatment of Covid-19,” the TGA said at the time.

“Ivermectin is not approved for use in Covid-19 in Australia or in other developed countries, and its use by the general public for Covid-19 is currently strongly discouraged by the National Covid Clinical Evidence Taskforce, the World Health Organisation and the US Food and Drug Administration.”

Ivermectin was first discovered in 1975 and came into medical use in 1981. It was approved for human use in 1988.

In 2015, half of that year’s Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was awarded jointly to ivermectin’s discoverers, Satoshi ?mura of Kitasato University and William Campbell of Merck.

The medication is sold in both human and animal formulations.

Veterinarians use it to deworm domestic animals and cattle.

For humans, it exists in tablet form and has been widely used in Africa to treat intestinal strongyloidiasis and onchocerciasis – also known as river blindness – which are conditions caused by parasitic worms.

Topical formulations are also used to combat head lice and skin conditions such as rosacea.

When the medication is taken as intended it is low risk – however, when taken in large doses it can cause serious side effects including severe nausea and vomiting, and neurological effects such as dizziness, seizures and coma.

In August last year, the US FDA told Americans to stop taking the drug by referencing the veterinary version.

The FDA said it had seen a rise in reports of patients being hospitalised after self-medicating with ivermectin.

“You are not a horse. You are not a cow. Seriously, y’all. Stop it,” the FDA tweeted.

The question is when will Thugs Goons Adminsitration face Criminal Charges?

Tom, it was a rhetorical question. If had a fair idea of the answer.

I suppose I wanted to get away from the Lizard People hypothesis and get minds focussed on what makes the world go ‘round – money. And lots of it.

As the money supply appears to dry up, another “variant”, another faux panic, another syphon for more dollars. The power dividend is incidental – it’s picked up by the weak minded, small wizened hearted government leaders who would be useless at any venture in the world outside politics.

The other psychopaths (principally in pharma, but there others) get both money and the power it confers. In a conventional war, they would be branded as profiteers, but being without shame they want to be seen as “saviours”.

With all the conspirational smoke and bilge, it has to be seen for what it is.

In the interests of the blog, I have eschewed publishing the email where Johanna’s outright doxxing of my husband’s surname was manifest on Sinc’s Catallaxyfile. I was prepared to give way on that, as I regarded putting forward my proof even with his name redacted (as I will not publish that) was merely to add fuel to fire that I hoped was burning itself out. A false hope indeed. But let me remind people that this evidence exists and that Johanna has forgotten writing it, just as she has forgotten so many things she said and did in her envious efforts to denigrate and then doxx me some years ago when it really mattered. Paranoid and fixated people tend to have poor memories regarding their outrageous behaviours.

Believe me on this. I’ve dealt with a few in a long lifetime. Trained to recognise them too.

The CHOs have been admitting (in undertones at the end of their rant) the deaths “with Covid”, & not “of Covid” for some time now. Annoyingly, the media buffoons who report back to the Channel, do NOT. And it is the latter that, I suspect, most viewers recall.

Looking back at the jab statistics, Qld was tracking like most states and was achieving double dose rate increases in the population of around 0.4-0.6% per day. Obviously the rate fell on weekends but that was the typical weekday rate. Right up until about 3 weeks ago when Qld hit around 89% double dosed.

Since then, the daily rate has plummeted to around 0.02-0.1% increase per day. Just yesterday, the overall rate for double vaxxed rose from 89.53% to 89.56% (+0.03%). Looking back to 19/20th January, the rate moved up from 89.00% to 89.07% (+.07%) which was larger than most days but still not particularly significant. These low rates are now commonplace and would suggest that Qld won’t achieve 90% double dosed until late February.

Three weeks ago the media in QLD were all over the fact that Qld was “so close” to 90% and the easing of further restrictions and then……nothing. They have been very quiet about it ever since.

I thought it may be because of holidays but that doesn’t stack up because the rate of 3rd jabs is strong at ~45,000+ per weekday compared to 1st or 2nd jabs at a combined <10,000 per day.

The rate of 2nd (and even 1st) jabs in the 'adult' population (over 15) has collapsed. I suspect the answer is that SE Qld residents have been compliant persons but their country cousins are holding out.

For many months I have noted that all states seem to reach a slowdown barrier at around 91-93% (except Canberra which hardly slowed) where the 1st and consequently 2nd vaccination rate falls away substantially – but Qld seems to have hit that wall earlier that all except perhaps the NT.

This is the fed govt site and lists stats by day:

If I had meant it was the same I would have said so.

And I didn’t accuse you of saying so.
You said:-
“Slightly less traumatic”.
I paraphrased as:-
“If “damaged house” and “lost hobby stuff” is just losing out in a photo finish with “deceased loved one”
‘Photo finish’.
‘Slightly less than’.
Largely synonomous.
My point is, that if you rate death of a loved one anywhere near the loss of property, it is time for some self-examination.
And, I reiterate, I think Arky said something similar.
That he was grateful for no death or injury.

The bloke who allegedly set fire to the doors of Old Parliament House,
Nicholas Malcolm Reed, was listed in the ACT Magistrates Court website earlier today for appearance at 2:00 PM.
His listing has since disappeared and a search for his name turns up nothing.

Usual suspect which is why you never head about it again:

Mr Reed was released from custody a second time on Wednesday wearing a black hoodie and face mask, refusing to speak to the media on hold.

Police facts submitted to the court indicate that he was released on Tuesday at 3:58 p.m. after being released on bail before being arrested at 4:09 p.m. in the passenger seat of a white Hyundai Accent in the suburb of Parkes.

This was a violation of a condition that he was not to enter Parkes or attend the Native Tent Embassy, ??located in the suburbs, without being accompanied by a police officer.

“Investigations into ACT’s police operations confirmed that the accused made no attempt to organize the company of Australian Federal Police officers to collect his personal effects from the Aboriginal Tent Embassy prior to d ‘enter the suburb of Parkes in the ACT,’ police facts indicate.

Whatever happened to the traditional masculine gesture of protest – starting a fight, and wrecking the joint?

Disco charges straight, white clubbers six times more
George Sandeman
Monday January 31 2022, 4.45pm GMT, The Times

A club night organiser has been criticised for charging different prices according to race, gender and sexual orientation.

A screenshot of the event’s ticket prices was shared on social media and showed that people of colour identifying as queer, transgender or non-binary could enter for £16.80 while the price for straight “cisgendered” men was £112.

There was a third category for those described as “allies” — either white trans people or straight women of colour — who could attend for £24.64.

The organiser, Pxssy Palace, describes itself as “an arts platform rooted in intentional nightlife, celebrating black, indigenous and people of colour who are queer, intersex, trans or non-binary”. It held an event called Signs on January 28 at the E1 nightclub in east London with a theme of “celebrating you [and your] relationship with the universe”.

The ticket price list was shared on Twitter after the event and was criticised by users who thought that the cost differences were discriminatory and immoral. One user asked: “They don’t have discrimination laws in the UK?” while another joked: “I identify with the cheapest price.” A third said: “This kind of equity is immoral and unjust.”

Pxssy Palace said on its website that it charged different people different prices in order to make free tickets available to clubbers from their community with lower incomes. “We encourage everyone who can afford to to buy the higher priced tickets, especially if you are not someone from the community that Pxssy Palace aims to centre,” the organisation said.

It added that “allies and accomplices” could help those people by “paying more money for entry, giving generously to the taxi fund” and “being aware of the space you take up, how your behaviour may make others feel”. It said it did not police how clubbers identified with their categories.

One tweet about the club night compared it to a vegan café in Australia that closed after implementing a “man tax”. Handsome Her opened in Melbourne in 2017 and was accused of reverse sexism after offering women priority seating and charging men an extra 18 per cent on their items for one week each month.

According to the owners, the policy was introduced to reflect the gender pay gap and was non-compulsory.

The café shut in 2019, and the owners wrote on Facebook: “We were just one little tiny shop on Sydney Rd that was trying to carve out a swathe of space to prioritise women and women’s issues, and suddenly we became the punching bag of Melbourne and the internet.”

They said the public reaction to the “man tax” showed “how fragile masculinity is and solidified the necessity for us to confront and dismantle patriarchy”.

Pxssy Palace has been contacted for comment.

On these numbers generally, mass data generated from the public on a national scale is rough and always ugly. It’s not 90% let alone 90.00343%, they’ll generate reports from the system, then have a confidence band and it’ll be something like: we can say that between 75%-95% of Australians have been dosed at X levels of confidence on each band, because of problems X, Y and Z with the data in this way, and that way and muslim pharmacists in Sydney can’t use a computer properly so we know 0.1% is corrupt there, and we gave the wrong details to pharmacists in this period so we don’t know about that 0.08% of the data there, and QLDers messed up the data between these periods which is 0.03%, etc, etc.

And naturally being Amway salesmen the government will use the very best figures they can get away with.

Particularly ceiling and floor joists and rafters (less check outs than studs). Get in the roof of any house over fifty years old and the timber will be way better than anything you will get at the Green Shed.
Oregon a lot of it, and some of it close to what we would call furniture grade these days.

Up the top of my street years ago was the local naughty girls home long since shut down. A friend of my BiL got the contract to demolish it. The language annoys me. These people always start out suggesting they are merely a ‘niche’ provider. Then, they want to cut a ‘swathe’. When it all turns to muck they lament that they were only looking to provide a ‘niche’ service and had been bullied.

Arky’s ideas regarding cleansing his threads for wrong-speak (as determined by him) was bizarre for a place like the Cat.
Damn right. And eventually he found the patronage of his Pearls of Wisdom threads fell off because of it.You lose any credibility sooking about “lost freedoms” if you are prepared to edit and delete opposing opinions.

FWIW, I left several months back after Arky censored my post. I only returned when Dover reached out.

The Sona Pekova link above makes particular reference to Australia:

From Australia, 11th of January, so, four days old.

Australia reports twelve times as many deaths during ten months, thanks to the Covid vaccine, than the cumulative count of all vaccine deaths which had been registered in Australia — and there are 128 of them — over the last 51 years!

Attention! And again, it is just sad that experts could not access data which they need, so, there in Australia, they had to use the Freedom of Information Act, the law, just so that the bureaucracies would give it to them. And here is the question: If really that Australian — something like the FDA, but in Australia it is called TGA, that is just the shortened name for it — so if they knew on the basis of what data the Pfizer vaccine was approved for mass use in Australia.

So, for the first six months, they received no answer. They bickered back and forth, until finally they got the answer. And in the answer, they said that they didn’t have any — in reality, they are admitting that they had absolutely no preliminary data regarding the safety of the vaccine.

It certainly is not good to recall that Pfizer, the largest player in this racket, has a significant history of various frauds. So, since the year 2000, it has been charged with and successfully prosecuted for over 80 offenses, um, violations, and they were fined over three billion pounds as a result.

So, that breakdown, which was for bribery or other malfeasance, and so here, the message is clear, which directly tells us that now that they are collecting the data on undesired effects, even those which lead to death.

So, according to this database in Australia, the first cause of death due to the Covid vaccine is anaphylaxis, that means the acute death actually due to a heavy, um, simply due to some allergic shock.

The second cause was dyspnoea, which means the patient has problems breathing.

This was followed by pulmonary embolism, which means an embolism [blot clot] in the lungs, the stopping of the heart, and then vascular events in the brain.

So, these were things which they were observing. So, every patient whose history contains of an thrombo-embolic event, an embolism, or simply any autoimmune reaction all that, all these people should be exempted from any mandate, any such mandated vaccination.

Thanks to this data, this [vaccine mandate] is absolutely uncalled for. Absolutely!

That’s eggsactly what thought leader was doing to me and then he had the temerity to suggest we ought to leave the site as some sort of religious penance together.

If you don’t like that happening to you, perhaps you shouldn’t be bawling about Thought Leader’s absence and building him up as some sort of messiah.

That’s Arky is it? Thought Leader? I didn’t closely follow all the hullabaloo there at the time as I was -ahem – in absentia. Arky was off his tree at that time. Doxxing is a sin, we all know that. Except the one who doesn’t remember her big doxx. Hairy’s name up in lights on the Cat and an invitation for him to come to Queanbeyan!

Arky’s no Messiah. He’s a qualified fitter and turner who turned high school mathematics teacher. There’s a back story there about a hard row to hoe. He was trying out new futures, a new career path yet again. I did that a lot in me unguided yoof and some of us can even drop an ‘m’ and commiserate.

Bern, how did you get a free Disney deal from Telstra. I’m really pissed off I didn’t get it as I pay the fuckers ~ $750 a month for services.

What on earth does $750 a month get you ..?
.. My phone costs $12 a month (18gb), one streamer ($8.99) a month & internet (unlimited) $59.95 a month

Here:

Mobile $262.20
Telephone, which I think also includes the internet for two homes $330.65
Foxtel $139.00
Plus some shitty charge of 14.90

Total $747.00

I can’t get rid of Foxtel without getting rid of Free to Air.

I’m not very good with cutting costs and leave the bill paying to wifey. I’m interested in just making money. Cutting costs is boring. 🙂

Although, as it turns out, the Wuhan virus that “escaped from the lab,”was not the Chimera that many of us (including me) feared might wipe out millions of healthy people, it was still a “gain-of-function” experimental virus.

We should not lose sight of that scenario as we regain (hopefully) some sanity in understanding that the most recent variant, Omicron, may herald its fading strength. In respect to that issue, a discussion between evolutionary biologist Bret Weinstein and Chris Martensen (who was a molecular biologist before he became an entrepreneur) is worth watching:

I’ll never forget a story I once read. It was in the NY Post and about something that happened in the US. Where else, as it’s these types of stories that made the country great.

There was an open buffet at a Chinese restaurant in Florida. The buffet was serving up what the Americans call Alaskan snow crab legs. This 250 lb fucker and his fat kid kept going up and loading with Alaskan crab legs. They were told they couldn’t have anymore and a ruckus broke out. The fat fucker sued and he won! We are now only spending on assets which will not lose value – or, even if they do – are still very “desirable” in any market. Covid has at least meant that on the large cruise ships you no longer get the ferals and fatties doing grab-a-plate and run to swoop up all the prawns and oysters at the buffet as they used to previously. It’s all individual serve by people behind glass screens now. Far more civilised. Covid has had its uses.
