Didn’t make it to the end. How did if finish?
Hmmm, could this be a pointer as to why Degenerate left the US? https://x.com/DefiantLs/status/1859712285440344476
Regarding the controversy over Native Americans as sport logos. For those who cannot see the comments it is all people…
Oh man. Come on.
Up later than I should because just finished book 6 of this rather good military scifi series. I don’t know where I heard about them, possibly on the New Cat, or maybe on Instapundit.
Expeditionary Force by Craig Alanson (wiki)
So I just bought the next five on Kindle. Amazon are nice like that: ‘hey you want to buy the next five, click here!’ Bingo, they magically arrive. Which served well for the Bob and Nikki Saucer Repair series. I read forty four of them…
Alanson’s series is great fun, a mix of excellent solid hard SF with a big fat streak of silly. It works surprisingly well once you get into the swing of it. The underlying premise is Arthur C. Clark, who once said: “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic”. Fits very well with these novels.
Bruce, you talked about Genesis 22 up thread, about the carrying of the fire to the sacrifice site on Mt Moriah.
This is the most interesting part of the story for me.
It’s the pronoun that gets me every time. Abraham was prepared to sacrifice his son but also believed, without a shred of evidence, that God could and would raise the dead. Did he have a glimpse of something far away in time which would happen on that very spot?
Cats – I know how you all love some wonderful music. The radio shows I’d love to continue – was looking back at some of them tonight to link some classics in a future post – e.g. next month’s – or it’s lost as an event.
Youse have always loved it and you know you want to.
Next month’s radio show?
Or else it’s Yarks’ bedroom and kitchen storming scantily clad bimbages … 😕
“Stay here with the donkey while I try to make sense of existence on this planet!”
“err, I may be gone for some indeterminate period of time!”

Fatima Payman digging in.
“From the river to the sea” is not antisemitic, according to her, but a call for Palestinians to live freely in their land, i.e. Israel, “without dominating others or being dominated over [sic]”.
She calls the charge of antisemitism “morally absurd.”
Be that as it may, what is absurd is imagining that after nearly 80 years of conflict fueled by antisemitic rhetoric, a majority of Palestinians would be willing to live with Israelis and not dominate them.
This is, in fact, a large part of why the partition was imposed by the UN in the first place. Peace will only come when Palestinians accept this.
