Madame Cackle and her media mates

All of the crooked mainstream media (i.e., most of the MSM) are getting behind Madame Cackle. Air brushing is taking on a whole new meaning. She was never the border czar, apparently. And why wasn’t she the border czar? Because the border is broken. Why is the border broken? Because Biden-Harris undid Trump’s successful measures to stem the tide of illegal immigration. Of course, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas might be blamed. But then who appointed and oversees him? Biden-Harris.

In the actual world she can’t escape from being a far-left liberal from San Francisco with a record and raft of views which would rule her out of ever attracting enough votes outside of California, New York and other deep blue states. However, the media will be relentless in giving her an artificial persona for outward show. An AI Harris, if you like. An avatar.

They are busy now as we speak – they are shameless and never sleep or quit – taking down from their history any critical comments they ever made about Harris. Remaking history, as in 1984 reprised: “…nor was any item of news, or any expression of opinion, which conflicted with the needs of the moment, ever allowed to remain on the record.”

Will it work?

You would be forgiven for saying yes, maybe, having read so much guff from journalists that Harris makes “the election a contest.” They get carried away inside their bubbles.

I recall the dismissal of Whitlam in November 1975 and the outrage of the crowds. Next month, Malcolm Fraser won in a landslide. The Voice referendum is instructive. All the right people and institutions onboard. But not sixty percent of voters.

I think Harris’s flaws are too great to hide- even for the ministry of truth that now finds its expression inside most of the MSM. A chance for me to plug a forthcoming book of essays, Against the Corporate Media. Worth a read, even though I am in it.

My prediction: Trump in a landslide – unless the Secret Service and FBI conspire to give another would-be assassin a clear shot. Mind you, I think he is safe. Another botched attempt to protect him would look too obvious.

Interesting, Thank you Peter
So many remarkable events in US politics this month – the instant MSM u-turn on the suitability of someone over 80 for high office being one of the most amusing.
One thing that struck me – the increasing involvement of wives in US events.
Of course, a “ suitable” spouse has always been an important for a candidate – why else did Julia have to invent one pronto when female tv viewers intuited that the Altona house was no home.
Jill Biden’s ever more prominent role was driven by her personality but clearly became essential in the last year or two in getting Joe to perform at even sheltered workshop level.
For me the most noticed sheet of gal iron blowing past in this political gale is the reporting of Michelle Obama endorsing Kamala.
I do not recall a President’s wife with no reported interest in politics or policy having her views reported as having near equal weight to those of a former President who is still very actively involved, although behind the scenes.
A sign of things to come?

If the message the RNC sell were to be ‘Look how the MSM and their cabal of election-thieving tax leaches sneer at you’ they would be unstoppable.

The BBC just devoted a whole OS style program to allowing ardent Kamala fans in the USA to spout endless sycophancy in praise of her. I’ve never heard such a torrent of tripe!

Another botched attempt to protect him would look too obvious.

I don’t think they care any more how it looks which is why I think they will try it again.
