Mater’s Musings #21: A Metaphor

Source: A Cat

I was sent this earlier by a long time Cat.

He thought it was a bit of a metaphor for the new ‘Australia’.

I agreed, except for the fact that three points of the Federation Star still appear to be united as one…tenuously.

I wonder which three States they represent? I think we can rule out Western Australia.

Tragically, perfectly apt.

Don’t despair.

The glorious azure sky, clear as a bell. The brilliant sunlight, glancing through leaves.

Countries come and go, the times change for better and for worse and so do people, but beauty remains.

In western lands beneath the Sun
the flowers may rise in Spring,
the trees may bud, the waters run,
the merry finches sing.
Or there maybe ’tis cloudless night
and swaying beeches bear
the Elven-stars as jewels white
amid their branching hair.
Though here at journey’s end I lie
in darkness buried deep,
beyond all towers strong and high,
beyond all mountains steep,
above all shadows rides the Sun
and Stars for ever dwell:
I will not say the Day is done,
nor bid the Stars farewell.

I’ll start wearing the Eureka flag and look like a BLF member.
When that happy clapping idiot Prime Minister used the flag as a snot rag face mask against all protocols regarding the use of the flag was the final straw.
They’ve trashed our flag as well as our country.
(By they I mean those that think they are the elite. Well scum rises as well)
