An Election Between Light and Darkness

Conservative Catholic Archbishop Carlo Vigano, earlier this year excommunicated for crossing the heretic Pope, has bowed into the US election, calling for a vote for Trump in an open letter to Catholics dated October 22. It is worth viewing in its entirety. You can find it in numbers of places including here on the Tucker Carlson Twitter site. A few telling extracts:

On one side we have candidate Donald J. Trump, who, despite serious problems in his positions – especially in the matter of abortion and assisted procreation – has as his objective the common good and the protection of the fundamental freedoms of citizens…On the other side we have a candidate and a party that promotes everything that directly opposes the Faith and Morals of the Catholic Church. In Kamala Harris’ America, Catholics – but also Protestants – are considered fundamentalists to be marginalized and eliminated, and their children are considered the property of the State, which arrogates to itself the right to lead them astray from an early age in both body and soul. Trump’s America can become great and prosperous again. Harris’ America is destined for invasion and for moral, social, and economic destruction: the most ferocious dictatorship…

Look at your country! Your cities have become dumps filled with derelicts and criminals, drug dealers and addicts, prostitutes and robbers. Your schools are dens of indoctrination and corruption from kindergarten onwards. In your courts, criminals are acquitted and innocents are imprisoned: new ideological crimes are prosecuted, while illegality is tolerated and encouraged…

Farmers, ranchers, and fishermen are persecuted and forced to fail, while the land is grabbed by unscrupulous corporations who transform it into endless photovoltaic systems and wind turbines… all this is done based on evidence that consists of lies without any scientific proof, but which are propagated through the servile collaboration of the regime media, ever ready to label any dissenters as conspiracy theorists.

Best to read it yourself. It maybe contains a bit of tenuous stuff but overall you have to wish he was the Pope instead of Francis. I imagine him and George Pell would have got on. And he is so right. This is a watershed election in the US. It is between light and darkness. Let’s pray that Trump wins and America not only gets sane policies but entertainment.

Here is Trump at the Al Smith Dinner hosted by the Catholic Archbishop of New York on October 17:

“Tradition halls that I’m supposed to tell a few self-deprecating jokes this evening. So here it goes. Nope. I’ve got nothing. I’ve got nothing.”

It is in the best tradition of those peerless entertainers / comedians of the past, from either side of the Atlantic, Jimmy Durante and Tommy Cooper.

MAGA!

It is encouraging to see that a christian leader has a “moral compass” and the courage to share. If the church has any relevance to it’s calling… it is therefore counter culture.
Thank you for sharing.

At the end of the day I guess one’s political assessments are determined by a combination of critical thinking and a “gut” assessment of the protagonists.
It is very clear, in my view, that this description explains the various opinions on the candidates of people of my acquaintance.

Dr. Ben Carson recently said in a speech to a faith convention (sorry, I forget the details) that unless Jesus Christ is a candidate, we are always choosing between the lesser of two evils.

The two following phrases from above leap out to me:
children are considered the property of the State… (and) …
the servile collaboration of the regime media, ever ready to label any dissenters as conspiracy theorists.

First you pathologise dissent.
Then you assert how dangerous that (fictional) pathology is.
Finally, you devise ‘vaccines’ or methods of treatment for that virus.
(Strangely, those ‘infected’ are not deemed to have been ‘radicalised’ but to be the creator of the virus itself).

If anyone has laid out a more convincing case for the glorious and long overdue implementation of HOP Time™ in western societies across the globe, then I’m yet to see it.

Magnificent stuff.

I imagine him and George Pell would have got on.

As an aside, it’s always puzzled me that Pell supported Bergoglio to succeed Ratzinger.

The prospect of cleaning up the Vatican’s finances must have been at the forefront of his thinking.

As to Vigano, more power to his pen!

Conservative Protestants will have doctrinal differences with him, but on civil matters we’re singing from the same hymn sheet.

I agree with everything he says.
especially about children – I re call my father telling me Hiltler said he had to get children under 5 to be indoctrinated to be life long supporters.

the other guy on the same page is the bishop in Nigeria.

interest article in the week end in might be by emma toglaini , trumps father tool menial jobs to build up real estate while his mother stayed home. Harris mother was a Bramain from India and her father a self made Jamaican millionaire.

this is a sizemic shift, affluence with nothing to go with trying to exert herself
with no contribution to her trade.
Trump has made is contribution, suffered physically and emotionally and his family. How as family members do you shake off the foul stories by summers and the vile name calling by de nitro and the Hollywood crew.
what do they stand for except unlimited.d sex and having a lot of money without having to work.
this is a new era.
musicians and actors influencing the general public on scientific and empherical evidence which they conflate to the opposite.

  1. Trump benefited in 2016 from late-breaking swing voters going for him after the Comey letter. Harris is benefiting greatly from…
