I subscribe to the UK Telegraph. Supposedly conservative. Its readers seem to be at any rate. This email headline came through this morning: “Majority of under-50s of people who died [in England] with the delta variant were unvaccinated.” That means that a distinct minority who died were fully vaccinated. In fact, twenty-four percent. That seems significant to me and more worthy of being headlined. But wait. I read down. Of the 1,076 deaths of people aged over 50, sixty-one percent had been fully vaccinated.
Imagine, if 60% of people dying from, say, smallpox had been fully vaccinated against this disease; and recently. There might be an inquiry. There might be questioning. But no, in this case, the proffered solution is vaccinating children to stop the spread, even though there is increasing evidence that it won’t, and booster jabs to prevent fully-vaccinated people getting very sick and dying.
Someone who I have known all my life has just been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Her daughter hopes that medications will help but distressingly says that she could have been on these much sooner if her medical appointments had not been cancelled because of COVID. Saving lives and improving the quality of life used to be the aim of medicine. Now its focus is on COVID and go hang the rest. And, to boot, the vaccines don’t work effectively and treatments have been pushed aside. What an unholy mess. Perspective and reason have been lost.
The madness of crowds. It will pass. Binchicken and her doctor are profoundly pleased this shamdemic is not another round of witch burnings.
But at least the Vic Pol have been on the streets today manufacturing scenes of conflict and confrontation, in time for this evening’s bulletin.
Covid has revealed fault lines in our psyche. At our centre, we are still those frightened cavemen hiding from the noises in the night.
Like most others, I was pretty concerned when the internet pictures of the lockdown in Wuhan in early 2020 circulated. Doubly so when news of overwhelmed hospitals in northern Italy & later New York flooded the networks.
But if you followed the information trail, particularly the troubling reservations of courageous virologists about the safety & efficacy of the novel vaccines, it was clear that we needed to summon that stuff in our heads called brains to work out the facts from the fiction.
It was ever so. But quite critical now, I think.
covid is no longer an emergency, there is some mad rush to experiment with a new technology. The fake news media are up to their old tricks of gaslighting us with the approved narrative that covid-delta will likely kill you and not getting jabbed will kill fatso and grandma. A vaccine should provide immunity, this novel technology does not.
The bugmen class is flexing the full power of the state apparatus to make us submit. why? they don’t care about our health in the slightest. How many lives have they destroyed to save fatso and grandma? How many grandmas did the NY and VIC dictators kill anyway?
Interesting isn’t it, Cuomo killed how many people in nursing homes? But what really got the bugmen class riled up was the number of women’s butts he pinched.
