Yeah, Roger I really like Edward Hopper (famous for The Nighthawks).
Went to the NGA to see the Jeffrey Smart exhibition last Friday. Loved a lot of his stuff too.
Both had a marvellous eye for angles, light and colour.

Another of my favourites, eb.

To make high art out of urban modernity is quite a talent.

Enjoyed the article on teaching. About time the Catholics raised themselves up to uphold Classism.

I felt sick reading the Spectator UK article on Canada killing the poor.

The article on the killing of disadvantaged Canadians is disturbing.

Canada has money to burn on renewables, media control and any other woke bullshit they can come up with, all at the expense of disadvantaged people’s suffering. Make the suffering so great by withholding funds for care, that the people end their suffering by taking their lives via assisted suicide.

And still can’t balance the budget. These people are truly evil.

The Edward Hopper is so evocative of the late 30s. Delightful, I agree.

  1. For music fans, Duane Eddy is brown bread. His first hit in (I think) 1959 pioneered the twangy guitar sound…

  2. From the Pauline Hanson vs the Other Senator trial: Senator Faruqi was approached by independent journalist Chris De Bruyne outside…

  3. For BoN: Our aggressive lorikeet visitor trying to bluff our nonchalant water dragon visitor. Hilarious. Our TV playing in background…
