Been away with an illness which I still have. It’s not Covid and it’s not communicable, least ways on a blog. My wife warned me that she will put up with it as long as my political views have stayed the same. She’s one in a million!
We shall see.

Welcome back Steve.
Just wondering.
Is it true to say that net taxpayers pay for everything?
Not quite right davefromweewaa.
I am retired, so no longer a PAYE tax payer. However I still pay GST on most of my purchases, huge taxes on my fuel, $3650 to the local council to be allowed to live in my own home. & $1800 to the state to be allowed to drive my cars on the road.
I subsidies the global warming scam paying $3200 for my electricity, & there are a host of other ways the state parts me from my money. If I were to smoke or drink alcohol, I would be paying even more. So although I do not pay as much as I used to, I still contribute almost half of my income to the welfare of far too many bureaucrats, whether I want to or not.
Take care of yourself Steve and more care of your wife. Its the small things that make all the difference.
I just lost 13.7kg in 14 days, spent 9 days on a ketamine infusion, 13 days on a fentanyl infusion. After 16 days am still trying to unpack what is real and not imagined and weather a coloxyl induced turd actually happened.
If you think you are having a bad day, shut the FU, you have less of an idea than monsta
Apart from that i fell asleep in front of the heater.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Was worried about you, Steve, but not anymore. Welcome back.
Welcome back, Steve.
PS: Sounds like Carpe needs some attention from Lady Jugulum. LOL.
Welcome back !
Welcome back Steve. Good the hear you’re on the mend.
Carpe, have you just had ManFlu? Poor mite.
So glad you are on the up and up Steve best wishes to you and your delightful wife – I had the pleasure of meeting you both a few years ago – keep on keeping on is the only way.
Welcome home Steve. I look forward to you making some sense out of today’s world or what may really be someone’s AI game?
A strange one, not real crook, just bloody crook for an 80 something, no fever or any of the other predicted dire ways to die, lost 10 kgs. sort of a cold for the first time in my life, caused conniptions at Dan Murphys from grog sales slump, getting back to normal so young Steve will ace it in and be firing on all cylinders.
Glad you’re back Steve. Have missed your contributions. Hope your health continues to improve.
Same hope for you, Carpe. Those nasty illnesses that sneak up on us and wreak havoc are the worst.
Crap Jugulum:
What the hell happened to you?
That’s a fairly decent consciousness/pain relief regime.
Before you answer, it isn’t contagious over the Intarwebs, is it?
You could start a new website called The Law of Marxists!
Great news on both fronts.
Welcome back Steve.
Hasbeen you are a legend. I need to employ you.
Re Hasbeen’s comment on taxes etc:
We have just been informed by our regional NSW Council that they are broke. We have been given the alternative of reduced services or increased rates. Given that the 25km road that links us to a main road is pitted with dangerous potholes and our garbage “service” is a local tip that has been progressively restricted – we wonder what we are actually paying for.
We have our own 10kw solar supply, satellite NBN service for Internet (VAST) and streaming, and mobile phone coverage. Our water is supplied from the sky. So what is the local Council really contributing ?
BTW so good to hear from you Steve. Many were very concerned about your absence.
Steve,
so pleased to find that you’re back. All those in power have no idea or no interest in what the country is facing.
Councils were initially there to register dogs and fill potholes , …now they want to run the world on our finances !
Hi Steve and welcome back.
I hope your medical outlook is benign?
Good luck with the recovery, Steve. All the best to you and your wife.
On ya stevo – disappointed to hear you did not have a decent dose of the clap
