dover0beach November 23, 2024 3:43 pmThere is an amazing thread on Twitter on Gaetz. Quite a rabbit hole. Be honest,…
Why am I not surprised?
FMD!
1. Create a problem, or enlarge a pre-existing minor issue.
2. Claim to have the answer to the problem (See 1.).
3. Exercise one or both of your index fingers as a means of justifying complete inaction to resolve the issue which you created or exacerbated, and were employed to resolve. Minor symbolism is acceptable.
4. Sit back, relax, and marvel at how simple it is to manipulate humans.
The entire rock-show is a “money-go-round”, with a generous amount of “spillage” to the usual suspects.
There is NO other rational explanation.
Once more. with “feeling”:
“Government” is NOT your “friend”.. As George Washington observed:
“Government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.”
The people we elect to govern us are mostly stupid. Which says more about us than it does about them.
oh and what a busy role it shall be .. bothering everyone all the time!
Someone is just ticking boxes now aren’t they, and knows very well it doesn’t matter how it looks, or what it costs, there will be no consequences, not in Victoria
FFS!
As someone on Twitter pointed out, these “jobs” exist to weed out undesirables who are not fully onbord with the woke agenda while simultaneously elevating the useless, but onboard.
I just get
Nothing yo see here message?
communists always believe in sharing!
Australia running out of money in 3, 2, 1…
I get emails from John Holland regarding open positions.
Recently a job became available.
It was titled “Female Participation Advisor”
How is that even a job title?

Misery mostly.
The top is always alright, in any system.
Not only that…the suburban rail loop will never be completed.
Like our inland rail line.

Monorail anyone?
OMG
Sounds like the sheilas at John Holland aren’t pulling their weight.
I know it’s only a blog, but poor punctuation destroys your argument more effectively than the most eloquent rebuttal.
You may as well be arguing for a flat earth or chemtrails.
More attention to detail, please.
B.t.w. it’s “What’s” not “Whats”
The latest on inland rail – should it be completed – is that it will stop 50kms west of the Port of Brisbane, which will result in a massive increase in freight on local rail lines and/or road transport going through the city.
The “father” of the project, Everald Compton, who has virtually disowned it, doesn’t believe it will cross the Great Divide due to the technical difficulties and expense. His original plan was to take it to the port of Gladstone, which made more sense.
Iirc, the project is now 5 years behind schedule and its cost has doubled over the last two years.
Fenway Park.
Home of the Red Sox and transphobes.
What is wrong with our country?
Here’s a list:
1) The cancer of government has grown to the point where it is killing the host.
2) A dumbed down dependent citizenry – human pandas have replaced our colonial forebears – this was a deliberate aim of #1 above.
3) Fiat currency and ‘management’ of the money has destroyed its value and created economic distortions which must, soon, correct very painfully
4) Mass hysteria (government driven) now consumes the people and their decision making – globull warming, Covid, raaaacism, etc etc etc
5) Expansion of the government into every aspect of our lives – via bureaucracy and, more lately, an increasingly militarised police force.
6) Large corporations have teamed up with government (aka fascism) to ‘farm’ the above human pandas, with catastrophic effects on their freedom, health and prosperity (big food, big pharma, big wind, big solar)
Theres a few things for a start….
On the bright side, more than 17 million vaccinated Australians have said “Yeah…nah” to yet another booster shot despite government recommendations.
That particular jig may be up.
That particular jig was never more than a sideshow – the real war – the klimate war, is following shortly.
Seems like a job for Jim ‘ll Fix It Saville.
2) A dumbed down dependent citizenry – human pandas have replaced our colonial forebears – this was a deliberate aim of #1 above.
Education.
This position exists because we have an oversupply of useless but credentialed eaters.
All those (like me) that thought people doing gender studies would be asking “would you like fries with that” underestimated the ability of the credentialed/university complex to make jobs for themselves via government and big business fiat.
Yet another piece of crap on 6 figures telling people on 5 figures what they are doing wrong.
The first part of the job will be to create a few extra forms on the clipboard for anyone even thinking of employing someone. Including who sits on the selection committee.
Every new program proposal will have to document and report to this person (or more correctly, her team) how it will address diversiteeh.
Every single team in the agency will have to complete quarterly reports. Note this crew won’t do them, the line workers have to fill them in.
A bunch of people always wanting more money from the taxpayer that leads to;
An ever-expanding welfare state, from which;
The political class and their hangers-on always benefit, that brings about;
The apathy of voters, and enables;
The political class and their hangers-on to enlarge their benefits, and leads to;
An ever-expanding welfare state.
FIFY
Australia suffers most from its success.
This is due to the resource curse as people (voters, pollies, public servants) assume the bucker of $$$ will just keep filling forever.
If we had a changing set of sectors that paid the bills we might be more careful on spending money and save more for the times when mining/farming/etc are declining. I know this paranoia about how to pay the nations bills works in places like Singapore and previously did in NZ when Britain joined EU and they lost that market.
TBH, I was surprised it didn’t have “Catholics need not apply” on it.
Lysander> To be specific and explicit it should exclude “Catholics, white men, professional managers working outside public service, stem graduates and LNP voters. Competency is frowned on and will be tested against during hiring and afterwards”
Don’t forget a large chunk of their time will be compiling reports to the state government on how they’re going with the diversity numbers.
This is a legal requirement, and the f-wits in the state gov (at least here in NSW) have more access than the ATO to your business records.

The challenge for us conservatives is to create an environment where you would rather confess to being a parking inspector at a BBQ than a DEI manager. These people are the kangaroo ticks of society.
Flyinduk:
Here’s a list:
All the things I’ve been bitching about for the last ten years and have been laughed at for my trouble.
Good luck waking people up, Duk.
I’m past trying to warn people (unless they ask).
Nowdays I’m concentrating on preparing to feast on the zombies when their comfortable (but artificial) world goes titz up.
I don’t think there is anything ‘bright’ about this, considering that:
1) 17 million Australians fell for the ConVid scam in the first place, and
2) The culprits of the crimes against humanity committed over the past 3 or so years have not only not been brought to account, but in fact are being re-elected. See Andrews, Daniel, usually resident at Mogadishu on the Yarra.
‘Jobs’ of the kind described above are entirely normal, given that it is also now perfectly fine for men to compete in female sports, and for drag queens to ‘perform’ at primary schools.
After all, we’ve always known that you can’t cure stupid.
Exactly right.
The masses will have to be reminded the hard way of many things they have forgotten – for example, that physics is non-negotiable, so wishful thinking will not make ‘renewables’ work.
Governments have always been predominantly an extortion racket, and that is something that also needs to be rediscovered by the public.
It will take time, and it won’t be pretty.
What isn’t, apart from everything?
17 Million took the vaccine ?. I wonder what the % of injuries will result ? . I wonder what % of deaths will result ? Maybe worrying about climate change will not matter after all !.
