Mater’s Musings #23: I like the Shirt

I like the T-Shirt. It strikes a chord with me.

I think I might buy one.

Got an email from the Red Cross today, saying their bus will be in my area and begging me to make an appointment to donate, something which I’ve done for decades.

Sorry guys, I feel very disinclined towards volunteering these days.

I don’t know where the T-shirt originated, but I think the sentiment applies more to Australia than the USA.

The destruction of American democracy flowed directly from disenfranchisement of voters through the fixing of the 2020 election by the anti-democratic fascists who now control the White House and theirn puppet president, whereas in Australia, it has been a coup d’etat by the unelected fascists of the public service aided by state and federal politicians using the fear-mongering of the news media to artificially inflate their own polling approval ratings and extend their careers.

The USA is now in an undeclared second civil war. That is unlikely in Australia as Australians will do whatever it takes to avoid confrontation with their rulers, even if it means dobbing on and denouncing their neighbors. In a former prison colony, there is no honour among thieves and no tradition of liberty’s ideals like those written into the US Constitution.

The willingness of Australians to be walked over by unelected bureaucrats is what distinguishes us from Americans, who, unlike us, are now fighting for their freedom.

BoN. I had a phone call from them last Thursday – most unusual – pleading with me to donate (which I hadn’t done for four or so weeks for various reasons). It was said that lots of appointments were not be honoured. I did donate yesterday, for better or for worse. Gives me an excuse to get out and about.

What is being done to Australia isn’t an accident of stupidity or incompetence.

I’ve been too old for t-shirts, black or otherwise, and baseball caps for a decade or so. They fail to flatter my farmer’s slouch, pale skin, ratty hair, etc. But I’ve been building up a collection for a few years now, and I’ll break them out for special occasions.
MAGA hat- not genuine, but a reasonable facsimile- good fun, instant rise.
Roundup hat- slow burner for the slow thinkers.
1776 shirt, in yellow, from Mark Dice. Under jacket for pub gigs. Not many contemps get it, but wicked design.
“We sleep – they live” t in black.
“Obey” in white, with the glassy eyed suited skull dude. Looks just like a surf shirt to the uninitiated, but I’ll have the occasional cult-art movie dude wring my hand, and one bloke went pale and speechless when we got to talking about it in the current melee.
Someone could make a motza by custom headlines where the “obey” is- ie “programmatic specificity”, “voice”, “staying apart keeps us together”, “not all disrespect to women ends in violence, but all violence towards women starts with disrespect”…

Having lived in London in the mid-80s, our blood is haram.

Thanks, Matrix.
1 – 2.5 months for international delivery.
How much of a ‘connected’ world are we now?

If Mr. Rusty had some products like this, I’d buy one or two. I purchased an ‘I Will NOT Comply’ muscle shirt from him a month or so ago, which seems to be decent quality. Libertyline Apparel, from memory.

Sizes are too small.

  1. Australia’s relationship with Israel is on the rocks as the Albanese government condoned the International Criminal Court’s pursuit of Benjamin…

  2. As I recall methanol is another one of those things that people can develop a tolerance to. So a dose…

  3. The twentysomething “creatives” who devise the content for Australian TV advertising are a solid bloc of Greens voters who cast…

  4. That’s six confirmed deaths from the alleged methanol spiking in Laos. Only a minuscule amount required to kill you. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ced94znq424o
