  1. The FBI another organisation captured by the left in its long march through the institutions.

Over the years, mostly in connection with the Trump/Russia collusion hoax, I have had many occasions to cover what I have considered to be wrongful — indeed clearly criminal — conduct by the FBI. To give just a few examples, there was the 2016 application for a FISA warrant against Carter Page (three times renewed) based on knowingly false information; the 2017 set-up of Michael Flynn; and then-Director Comey’s blatant lies to President Trump in early 2017 about what the FBI was up to. Or go to this link for a long litany of wrongful FBI and DOJ conduct…….

So with all that has now come out about the FBI’s sordid and criminal role in the Trump/Russia matter, do you think that the people at the Bureau would be at least a little chastened? Don’t be ridiculous. Indeed, they have every reason to have learned the opposite lesson. With more than five years having passed since the launch of the “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation (i.e., spying on the Trump presidential campaign), most statutes of limitations have expired without any of the main perpetrators getting charged. The sole FBI guy who has taken a plea (lawyer Kevin Clinesmith, for altering an email submitted as part of one of the later FISA applications) was sentenced in January 2021 to mere probation (that is, no jail time)……..

Believe me, if it had been you, you would have gotten multiple years in the slammer.

And now, over the past few days, we learn about another round of blatant and egregious FBI misconduct. This time the target is not an opposing political campaign, but it is nevertheless a clear political enemy, namely Project Veritas and its head, James O’Keefe……..

Not only was it highly unusual for the FBI to raid journalists at all, but the supposed basis for this raid made the event even more dubious and more obviously political…….

The phone and other materials seized from O’Keefe and Project Veritas contained information that was not just confidential, but privileged. For example, they contained extensive information about Project Veritas’s communications with its lawyers to be sure that it remained in compliance with applicable laws in its activities. Well, that should be no problem, because the FBI and Justice Department are under strict legal obligation to keep confidential everything about their ongoing investigations. Right?

Wrong. The FBI is a lawless and fundamentally criminal organization. Being under no illusions as to what was about to happen, Project Veritas immediately sent its lawyers into court and came away yesterday with an order from Judge Analisa Torres in the Southern District of New York to the FBI to “pause its extraction and review of the contents of Petitioner O’Keefe’s phones.”

But you can now guess what happened next. The criminals at the FBI, for whom legal obligations and criminal laws are only for the little people, had already gone through the phones, found the good stuff, and leaked the contents to the New York Times. And thus this morning, despite yesterday’s court order, we find on page B-1 of the Times (front page of the Business section) an article spilling every bean they can find worth spilling from O’Keefe’s phone(s)……..

Clearly, neither the FBI nor its criminal co-conspirator the New York Times has any respect whatsoever for the attorney-client privilege of Project Veritas……..

Obviously, my advice to never, ever co-operate with the FBI remains more firmly in place than ever.

  2. Epps does seem to be linked with the FBI or perhaps another alphabet agency, but he denied it recently. The other guy who has vanished from sight is John Sullivan. He of the video in the capitol which he tried to sell for ninety grand – after he was ushered in by the Capitol Police as I recall. Sullivan also seems to’ve been on the payroll of the FBI or another such agency. And not long after 1/6 it was claimed by Sullivan’s brother that there were a couple hundred Antifa seeded into the protest for precisely what the Dems and DoJ have been screeching about.

All of this smells very engineered. But it isn’t being swallowed by righties – who regard the FBI as Biden’s personal Gestapo. Literally.

  3. It’s bullshit. The Right has nothing to complain about with respect to the FBI. Trump had 4 years to clean it out. He fired Comey and put his own guy in there, so the clean out should have begun from that point in time. If Trump made a huge mistake with respect to his appointment then blame him.

Quite so JC…and it isn’t just the FBI….this also applies to big tech and election fraud. The GOP had control of both houses in 2017 and 2018……they did nothing about big tech despite pleadings from various people. The GOP and Trump were warned about postal voting and election fraud early 2020….they did nothing.

Trump did some great stuff but he also made some big mistakes.

  5. This is the Cruz who described the attackers on 6/1 in the Capitol as violent terrorists – only to wimp out under a bit of heat. Who now wants to join the club of the witless who don’t believe their own eyes.
Let’s see how he stands when the Oath Keepers and others have their day in court. As Boehner once said, the man is a Satanic influence.
One day we will find out who were the buyers of 70% of Trump properties sold during his term that were owned by hidden ownership structures.

That seems to be a common theme of great Presidents. Trump, no matter how reviled, had some great achievements.

As opposed to Biden, who has none to his credit.
Quite the reverse in fact, including a blowout in inflation.

  8. I get that the FBI may need to be cagey about details of operations, but this is ridiculous.

Certainly they may be reluctant to reveal that they are investigating someone when they need them to remain unaware, or how big a taskforce is and such. These would be legitimate operations.

But being involved in what happened on 6th January would not be legitimate. The easiest and safest thing in the world would be to say that no FBI personnel were involved, which is exactly as it should be – but she won’t.

    A very eloquent silence.

The Oath Keepers are mostly glowies. One of them had connections to a neo Nazi group in Illinois that were stung trying to buy weapons from Gadaffi. Guess what, he didn’t get indicted.

Maurice Neumann – Chairman and Janet A, Ron Bruton, Keith Windschuttle directors, all at one point.

Parse the comment carefully – he said “no law enforcement agency”.
So could be CIA, NSA, maybe others.
I would suspect the CIA not the NSA, given the “work” of the CIA director, but you never know…
