It needs to go back to what both Republicans and Democrats of the day during ’60’s agreed with – safe, legal and rare. Neither a total ban nor a total free-for-all are acceptable in our messy reality, and this seems like the best compromise – at least until Roe v Wade. How you codify that in law is troublesome I know, but it needs to be done.
