On the editorial page of The Oz today there was an article by Adam Creighton with the following heading: Trump’s star rising but he’s dead wrong about stolen election. How incredible and how disappointing, I said to myself, that the only journalist in Australia who writes honestly about the American political system has now gone over to the dark side. And then I read the article and what was absolutely clear was that the heading had completely misrepresented the contents of the story. In fact, when I opened the story at the link, this is now how the headline reads:

Of course it was a stolen election. What a notion that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were preferred to Donald Trump and Mike Pence! The question is whether these people will try the same in November for the Congressional elections. My guess is that they cannot be stopped. As Adam wrote:

As of publication deadline on Wednesday, the film was earning an enthusiastic user rating of 7.4 on the 10-point scale of definitive film industry site IMDB.

Steve, unfortunately your contention that The Australian is asserting in a headline that Trump was “dead wrong” about election fraud is no longer correct. That headline would appear to have been an assertion by a sub-editor at The Australian some days ago and since overriden by the more accurate:

In other words, the idea Trump was “dead wrong” about election fraud was an assertion by a newspaper subeditor in Holt Street, Surrey Hill, who had nothing to do with the research or writing of the article attributed to Adam Creighton.
This is a common problem at The Australian: galloping bias about US politics by the paper’s Sydney staff.
As it now stands, stripped of the anti-Trump bias of 90%+ of all journalists, not just The Australian’s staff, the article is a useful contribution to the discussion about widespread fraud in the 2020 election.
That is not by design. The Australian remains the worst possible place to go for accurate information about US politics and the 2020 US election in particular.

Look what just happened – the Senate near unanimously supported sending $US40 Billion (Biden only asked for $US33 Billion!) to Ukraine to protect their border, and meanwhile Border Protection Services and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) doesn’t get this much to protect the US border and enforce deportation of criminals, and illegal immigrant encounters (just who they happen to “find”!) reaches record highs of well more than 100k a month – over 1.2 million a year, bigger than several US cities. Many of whom are being given plane and bus tickets to places well away from the border states, with no way to track them. And at least 40 known terrorists that have disappeared into the US, completely untracked.
The Ukraine grant included “food security” funding, while baby formula has virtually vanished from US shop shelves. Pissing off US mums again – that’ll cost Dems even more, hurting much more than any gain they might get from Roe V Wade crap.
Watched 2000 mules yesterday via a link sent from Us friend. Was also a bit concerned at first with Adam Crichton’s commentary. Interestingly, the doco does not even mention voting machines, yet I still wonder about those too. There is no doubt that the processes of voting in many US states is suspect. I have written to my local representatives asking why the 18000 Australians found to have voted multiple times in our last Federal election have not been prosecuted, and said that I expect in the future that such cheats WILL be prosecuted. I will drop by the local AEC office before the 21st to also verbally express my opinion that fines must be issued. We cannot let the standards slip.
Some people dislike having to have their names marked off the electoral role. I doubt that most of those people would also like someone else to use their vote, which is possible should they not step up to be marked off.

This is not proof of fraud, but it is proof of errors – fraud may be the ultimate cause, but the data does not show fraud, only errors. The data they examine is the same data used by the Governor to declare the election results. It is publicly available data. As far as I know, no-one has “debunked” this analysis, and it was presented at several state senate inquiries. The people who did the analysis are “big data” people, so they know how to find “problems” in huge data sets. Includes an intro to the people, who they are, what they do professionally, and why they looked at this data.
Some very interesting “coincidences” such as county level votes changing in such a way as to affect the outcome, but not noticeable on the state level, “mistakes” always going in one direction etc etc. If this was deliberate, there are very clever people who are behind it and they know how to hide what they did to all but the most anal-retentive and experienced researchers.
