US 2022 Mid-Terms Thread

The latest indication of national sentiment:

Wow. Over half polled strongly disapprove of Biden. This carries over into the generic ballot:

Let’s look at latest polls for individual races:

GA Senate: Walker (R) +3 (RCP average Walker +0.6)

AZ Senate: Masters (R) +1 v Kelly (RCP avg Kelly +0.6)

NV Senate: Laxalt (R) +2 v Cortez Mastro (RCP avg Laxalt +2.7)

WI Senate: Johnson (R) +6 v Barnes (RCP avg Johnson +3.3)

OH Senate: Vance (R) +10 v Ryan (RCP average Vance +8)

NH Senate: Hassan (D) +3 v Bolduc (RCP avg Hassan +1.4)

PA Senate: Oz (R) +2.2 v Fetterman (RCP avg Oz +0.1)

Here is my prediction. In the Senate, like Gingrich, I think we are looking at a 53-55 R majority. In the House, I think we can expect something in the low 240s. Surprises in the Senate, I think, may include pick-ups in the NH and NV. I think Walker will win the GA Senate convincingly, less so Masters but he is a very good candidate and future of the party so I hope to see him get through and pick-up the Senate seat. Lake’s strong run for AZ Gov and the generic support for R should lift him over the line.

Time will reveal all.

The Trojan Horse Presidency

Authored by Dmitri Orlov,

The US midterm elections are nigh and, as I happen to be a good and patriotic Russian national, it behooves me to meddle in them. Election-meddling is an example of Russia’s soft power, which is much nicer than Russia’s hard power, so you should be glad that it’s still on offer.

Thus the US is not a democracy (rule by the people) but an oligopoly (rule by business groups). From this it follows that it doesn’t matter who is president because both parties of the Democrat-Republican duopoly are owned by the same set of business groups.

And so it doesn’t matter who is president and your vote means nothing? Granted; but then does it matter WHETHER there is a president? Methinks, it does!

What if the president is an organo-servo-robot, a senile puppet, backed up by a vice president specifically chosen for being even more feeble-minded? This is an excellent ploy for putting in power an extremist group that is only tangentially related to the usual business lobbies that determine what gets done in Washington. Don’t think of some vast and amorphous “deep state”: executing such a power grab requires tight coordination, some amount of secrecy or, at least, discretion, and, of course, vast sums of money. Think instead of a singularly well-endowed evil oligarch and his multiple minions whom he has carefully groomed and insinuated into positions of power.

The plan (I am guessing) was to use the senile grandpa and his idiot sidekick as a Trojan horse to infest the White House, then use that position to destroy America, and then use America’s rotting corpse as a staging area for launching similar attacks worldwide. But if Putin and Xi, and with them 80% of the world, are having none of it, then what? Fight a war against Russia and China in tandem, and lose it? What then?

And so they now wait for the inevitable. Russia is done chewing through the original Ukrainian military and its Soviet-era weaponry stockpile and is now halfway through chewing through any remaining Ukrainian raw recruits (old men and children, essentially), plus NATO mercenaries and NATO’s weaponry stockpile, all without breaking a sweat. It is now gradually disabling all public works throughout the Ukrainian territory, much of that work being done using a low-budget artificially intelligent flying chainsaw called Geranium 2. (We Russians like names like that. A 152mm cannon is called Hyacinth B; a 240mm self-propelled mortar is called 2S4 Tulip. Would you like to smell our flowers?)

Do you think the not even particularly shadowy oligarch whose minions who are currently running amok in the White House have a plan for dealing with the horrible mess they have created? No, they do not.

They are freaking out. Worse yet, they are losing narrative control. The Biden presidency no longer looks real; it looks like what it actually is: a hoax. And if he isn’t real, then who are the cockroaches that have been running amok in the White House these past two years?

The Red Wave Is Being Powered by White Supremacy, Especially the White Supremacy of Black and Hispanic Voters Voting GOP

The worst of all White Supremacies.

Gallup shows a big advantage in voter identification for the GOP:

InteractivePolls @IAPolls2022 GALLUP POLL: Do you consider yourself a Republican, a Democrat or an Independent? (with Indie leaners)
Republican — 48% (R+6)
Democrat — 42%
Pure Indies no lean — 10%

Trends:
* Oct 2018: 42/53 (D+11)
* Oct 2014: 47/41 (R+6)
* Oct 2010: 45/43 (R+2)

It was D+11 in 2018 and it’s R+6 now, meaning that the net shift in party affiliation is… well I don’t have time to run the exact figures, but it’s probably like, what, 30? 40?

That seems high.

So it’s like 11? Or 6? No; those are the Joe Bloggs answers (TM).

Well look whatever it is it’s bad for the Democrat, presumably.

“Sauron Deciever” created this graph of voter identification since 2020. Orange is independents, Red is Republicans and blue is Democrats.

Note how the orange line plunges and red line rockets upwards — independents are calling themselves Republicans.

Shortly after reading this post (below) on the gender issue in the USA, I received two fliers in my mail box here in the outer east of Melbourne relating to our forthcoming election. The first criticizing Labor for not protecting parental rights and allowing confusion regarding childrens gender identity, from the Family First Party. And the second pamphlet very strongly asking voters not to vote for Labor as Daniel Andrews has backed Gender transition without parental consent. This pamphlet came from a body I’ve not heard of before called Gender Awareness Australia Ltd. I am starting to think this issue might also shift many Labor voters to another party. Parents don’t like other people fiddling with personal matters affecting their kids.

Here’s an explanation of that Consent Decree from a person sympathetic to it’s aims:

SHAPIRO: What happened in the early 1980s that led to this consent decree?

HASEN: Well, the Democrats accused the Republican National Committee of engaging in a number of activities which they said was voter suppression in violation of the Voting Rights Act and other civil rights laws. One thing the RNC was accused of was sending armed police officers off duty to polling places to patrol the polling places in minority areas.

Rather than going to trial, the RNC agreed to settle the case, and it settled the case in what’s called a consent decree, which means that the settlement between the parties was embodied in a court order. And if the RNC ever violated that order, they could be found in contempt. And so this was a very powerful too that the Democrats have been able to use for the last few decades.

SHAPIRO: And over the years, the Democrats convinced judges to extend this consent decree until now. Why not?

HASEN: Well, so back in the mid-2000s, the RNC went all the way to the Supreme Court trying to get the consent decree eliminated because nobody wants to be under the threat of contempt. But in 2009, a federal judge said, all right, I’m giving it eight more years. Unless the Democrats come forward with evidence that the Republicans are still engaging in this activity, the consent decree will end as of December 1, 2017.

So this summer, as the Trump campaign started touting problems with voter fraud and trying to collect signatures of people who were going to engage in poll watching on Election Day, Democrats said the Republicans were violating the consent decree. The judge determined that whatever the Trump campaign might have done, it was done without the RNC’s cooperation, and therefore the RNC didn’t violate it, and the consent decree was allowed to die.

“It’s Not Looking Good” – Martin Armstrong Warns There May Not Be A 2024 Election (7 Nov)

Legendary financial and geopolitical cycle analyst Martin Armstrong says, “The cheating in the midterm election next week is going to be so great that it is almost impossible to make a prediction. . . . In a fair midterm election, the Republicans would win the House and the Senate.”

The corruption is so bad, it’s crazy. ..”

“Pennsylvania sent out hundreds of thousands of ballots to people who are not documented or even American. I’ve gotten emails from people in Canada, they are getting mail-in ballots. They mailed them to Canada…

Where this ends up, who knows? It’s just so corrupt, it is over the top. It doesn’t matter who wins. Nobody is going to accept this thing, and that is the problem.”

The cheating is going to be so in your face President Trump may not even be able to run for President two years from now. Armstrong contends, “We may not even have an election in 2024…”

I’ve already seen numerous reports of blatant fraud already. Zero interest from the authorities, because they’re all under complete control of the Left, who will fear the investigations if the Republicans control Congress.

Why Wait? Fetterman Sues in Federal Court to Force PA to Count Undated Ballots

Should mail-in-votes that are undated or incorrectly dated be counted in Tuesday’s midterm elections? Common sense, state law, and a Pennsylvania court all say “no,” but Democrat Senate wannabe John Fetterman thinks otherwise and took his case to court Monday. Fetterman, who’s in a tight race (notice I didn’t say “neck and neck”) with Republican candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz, joined the Democrats’ U.S. House and Senate campaign arms and two Democratic voters to sue in a federal court in Pittsburgh, arguing that the handwritten date requirement is a burden and an attempt at voter suppression.

I guess the argument is that it’s super hard to correctly sign and date your ballot, or something. Here’s a way you could avoid the problem: walk down to your local precinct and cast your vote there. That method seemed to satisfy most people not named Stacey Abrams until the pandemic, when Democrats used it as the excuse to start heavily plugging their dream of mail-in voting.

Fetterman’s decision to sue comes after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ordered election officials not to count any absentee and mail-in ballots that arrive in undated or incorrectly dated envelopes. Fetterman is asking for all ballots to be counted, regardless of any date issues.

(In a separate case, a Pennsylvania court ruled Monday against the GOP and said that election officials can notify voters that their mail-in ballots include errors, such as incorrect or missing dates, and assist voters with fixing the issues. At this rate, they’ll soon allow officials to just fill out people’s ballots for them.)

The candidate has already indicated that he intends to draw the tallying process out for as long as possible, saying early Monday, before the lawsuit was announced, that voters should “buckle up for a long week” and that the ballot counting process could take “several days.” Great.

As Trump and others have pointed out, France routinely tallies their vote by the end of the voting day, so it’s ridiculous that these drawn-out battles are now a regular occurrence in the U.S.

France has a population of 67.5 million people vs Pennsylvania’s 12.96 million… France counted everybody’s vote in one night…. there is no excuse for Pennsylvania or any other state to take extra weeks to count ballots, unless they’re rigging the vote

Democrats Are Losing, So Politico Is Very Worried About Election Integrity

You can’t make this up. After two years of being told the obvious irregularities in 2020 were part of the “most secure election ever,” Politico is worried the 2022 Election could be hacked.

Follow the logic, dear readers. Under Barack Obama, the 2016 election was “hacked by Russia.” Yet miraculously, the 2020 election became far more trustworthy under the man they called “literally Hitler,” Donald Trump.

Now, after the triumph of a safe and reliable election that included $400 million in Zuck Bucks to local election offices, unprecedented mail-in balloting, widespread ballot drop-boxes, and changes to election laws nationwide, elections have become less secure. Here is the hot take from Eric Geller at Politico:

The midterms face a bevy of digital threats, from stolen Twitter accounts to hacked election websites, that could spark chaos, confusion and unrest that last long after the polls close.

The 2020 presidential election was rife with allegations of voting machine hacks that were later debunked. Yet there are real risks that hackers could tunnel into voting equipment and other election infrastructure to try to undermine Tuesday’s vote.

So, the Biden administration broke a system that was operating perfectly? It delivered a record 81 million votes for Joe Biden and violated every single election trend, from bellwether counties to minority voting patterns. It may make you think it was the outcome that was perfect, not the process, and many people who watched the trainwreck unfold came to that conclusion. However, you are supposed to believe the same equipment was not vulnerable in 2020 but is this year. The only difference is the party projected to win.

Think of the absolute assertions by the Biden administration and their media flunkies: The border is secure. Covid vaccines prevent infection. There is no CRT in high schools. The lab-leak theory and Hunter Biden’s corruption were disinformation. There is no medical debate about fast-track, affirmation-only, sex changes for minors. Inflation is caused by corporate greed. Women in college always tell the truth; and men always lie. A president can forgive student loans by fiat. Debt doesn’t matter. A woman can have a penis. BREAKING: Attorneys File Suit After Ballot Accepted in Georgia County on Loose-Leaf Paper after Security Feature Was Turned Off in ALL Examined Machines

Last month, The Gateway Pundit reported on an anomaly discovered in a Tennessee county’s Dominion voting machines that caused a ballot, and all subsequent ballots, to be flagged as “provisional” ballots. This anomaly was discovered when tabulated votes didn’t reconcile with the number of voters who voted. The EAC wrote a report on this anomaly and, with the assistance of Dominion Voting, put a patch, not a fix, that reportedly bypassed the problem.

A team of election integrity activists turned their sites to Georgia and discovered this same anomaly occurred in a majority of the counties they were able to examine (64 of 66). That article from the Gateway Pundit can be read here.

Now, the same team, The Election Oversight Group, has discovered what they believe to be a security feature that has been bypassed on every machine they’ve examined system log files for.

On October 19, 2022, Spalding County officials discovered a fraudulent ballot that was “seemingly scanned and accepted by the tabulator.” The ballot was printed on lined looseleaf paper! (vote information has been blurred out)

Beyond ‘MAGA Deniers’: Here Are the Well-Funded Forces Arrayed Left and Right to Challenge Elections

By Ben Weingarten, RealClearInvestigations
November 8, 2022

From the Comments

– Here’s an idea. How about every two years a national holiday is declared for election day where everyone is given the day off just to vote. No more drop boxes, no more mail ion ballots (except in rare circumstances such as being on travel for work, disabled, military), etc. Now there is no excuse to vote in person so just quit whining and do it.

– How is it NOT a Conflict of Interest for the person who oversees Elections in Az.,

the Secretary of State….be running for Governor, while she’s Secy. of State?

She’s OVERSEEING THIS ELECTION!

The level of corruption is very deep. They have their own people vote early, and then they Suppress Election Day voting, is what I’m hearing.

– The US Supreme Court has already ruled in a 2021 overthrowing a district courts rule that late or undated ballots can be counted. SCOTUS said any undated or late absentee ballots are invalid and cannot be counted in any election.

– We Don’t allow people who arrive for in-person voting After the polls are closed to Vote…..so WHY would we allow mail-in-ballots received Late, to count ???

– Fetterman and the DNC are now suing PA to force unsigned and undated/misdated mail in ballots to be counted…because of course they are..

They send out 240,000 mail in ballots to unverified voters and now they have thousands and thousands coming back unsigned. Democrats aren’t even trying to hide their fraud anymore.

What will happen is some Dem appointed federal judge will force them to be counted and include and the election will be certified before the court process is completed and the ballots found to be illegal…Just Like Last Time.

– Without cheating, Democrats cannot win.

Florida voting workbook

If you combined mail-ins votes, early votes and election day votes R’s are about R+13 in turnout. That should increase a tiny bit before the end of voting. In 2020 it was R+6. It is dangerous to extrapolate Florida to the rest of the US but if that is uniform over the whole US then the GOP are in for a good night out and control of both chambers. And in maybe a few more governors mansions as well.

That’s because the DemonRats are now the party of the rich and connected at one end, and the welfare dependent, with their free Obamaphones, at the other end.

When you are doing well from Bidenomics, or welfare, or student loan forgiveness, you are happy. When your middle class jobs are disappearing and taxes are up, you are not. The latter group are the ones voting Republican.

So just surrender, then? Let Dimocraps destroy the country while they pillage millions for themselves – you’re OK with that?

“Rubio, Ted Cruz, Graham, Mitt Romney, Grassley, they’re as bad if not worse than any Democrat.”

Yes – RINOs or “establishment” people. Margery Taylor-Green and others like Kari Lake – the so-called “MAGA Republicans” – are not of the machine, and should they win enough seats, they can push for real reform. I suspect they will. These are the people the Dems are so scared of, not those like you list – they are prepared to actually do the job, not just time-serve and wield power while they enrich themselves. They actually believe in the US and that it can be a force for good in the world.

“Trump hisself is just a lying sack o’ shit.”
Phht. The PINO (President In Name Only – Biden) lies about everything – his past, the economy, war, the border, “Democracy” etc etc. Everything.
Trump lies about stupid little things – “best ever”, “never seen before” etc. Exaggeration more so than lies – typical New Yorker, where everything is “fantastic” or “terrible” and there is no middle ground where something is “OK, I guess”.

They are now telling us that counting votes is going to be a problem. Perhaps we should develop a system where you go vote and then dip your finger in green ink to indicate your ballot has been cast and counted. UFB

It would be lot easier for all involved to hold separate elections. Imagine the dogs’ breakfast WE would have if we held elections for Fed,State, Council, School P&C, head walloper, local magistrates, and a couple of referenda, some at state level and some local, on the same day, with only 1 ballot paper.

I know it’s too early to tell, but in the Senate, for those that have a feel for numbers, the Republicans should be much further ahead than shown. In many US states, voters register as either Dem, Rep or Nonpartisan/Other. Localities in some of these states report Election Day turnout throughout the day. There’s HEAVY Rep turnout that isn’t being matched by the Dems, and is overwhelming Dem early vote leads. This is pointing to an ugly result for the Dems today, with Reps overperforming their polls.

Fetterman, a pro-union progressive who campaigns in shorts and a hoodie, stayed off the campaign trail for months after suffering a stroke in May, Reuters reports.

Not really seeing it as yet in the actual vote totals. De Santis – woke agenda has led to an influx into Florida. Especially due to ‘medical authoritarianism’. Florida has served as the promised land. “W have rejected woke ideology. We fight it in legislature, in schools, in the corporations, Florida is where woke goes to die… leades don’t follow, they lead, we set out a vision … and the people of this State have responded in record fashion .. ” need for a ‘revival of American principles, Florida has proved that it can still be done”.

“Florida is where woke comes to die” – DeSantis

Unfortunately, that is true of many of the retirees who moved there from New York. Thank God they neglect to vote there.

DecisionDeskHQ data feed still showing Warnock ahead in Georgia Senate race.
1,346,621 versus 1,221,296

Maybe it’s just taking some time… (…checks notes)… for someone to upload a USB flash drive of latest results from the isolated non-internetworked counting machines to the Internet-connected workstation of the central data warehousing companies.

Walker now in front in GA.

Not sure what numbers you’re seeing, Warnock still up by four points on most counts.

I see there was a brief point where Walker was up at 61% counted , but more votes from urban areas pushed Warnock back into the lead at 64% counted.

Republicans well ahead now in NC and Ohio Senate races, should go on to win.

PA still decent for Democrats, and they are strong in NH and CO.

Walker/Warnock going back and forth in Georgia like a ping pong ball. Anyone wagering on that one better have the heart meds handy.

m0nty would vote for Crist in Florida. That tells you how much of a degenerate he is and sick in the mind. After the past 2 years only the brain damaged would vote for Crist.

Also, all the MSM will tell you about Florida is how some Gen Z won an already blue seat. Hilarious. They never fucking learn.

Election Wizard ?? @ElectionWiz · 26m
> JUST IN: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez aka AOC (D) wins re-election to the U.S. House in New York’s 14th Congressional District.

Clearly New Yorkers know the value of a good cappuccino in Congress. Well done, that barista.

Election Wizard ?? @ElectionWiz · 4m
> RACE CALL: Brian Kemp (R) re-elected governor in Georgia.

Well Kemp may have looked the other way in 2020, but it was either him or Stacy. So long, Stacy! Don’t hold your breath for reparations.

On Fox, good to see true conservatives coming down hard on the urgent need to restablish oil and gas production in the US as interference here has been the driver to inflation, in every aspect of US life.

Can you imagine this conversation between conservatives going on at home, on Sky even? asks Hairy of me, as we both sit her impressed at the real solutions already being mooted.

I am almost prepared to bet that it will be Labor in Australia that starts to peel back on Net Zero rather than the Libs. There are, at least, some hard heads in Labor who might force the way.

Maybe I’ll take that back later, but right now that’s how I feel. Wimpy Libs in Oz.

I don’t think this is a wave election either way. No one is going to be happy with the result. Unusual for an unpopular President not to get his arse kicked in midterms, but he had razor-thin majorities to defend so it isn’t going to take much for Biden to lose them. He won’t be able to do much in the next two years, but neither will the GOP.

My goodness the corporate media is so full of crap. Clearly ‘hiccup’ is the previously workshopped word to describe ‘irregularities’ – it’s surfacing everywhere to downplay said irregularities. Here’s the AP having a spin at the game:

There were no widespread problems with ballots or voter intimidation reported around the country, though there were hiccups typical of most Election Days. Some tabulators were not working in a New Jersey county. In Philadelphia, where Democrats are counting on strong turnout, people complained about being turned away as they showed up in person to try to fix problems with their previously cast mail-in ballots.

In Maricopa County, Arizona, which encompasses Phoenix and is the state’s largest county, officials reported problems with vote-tabulation machines in about 20% of voting places.

Oh yes these hiccups are totally just normal old election day irregularities that keep happening in the same places. Everything is obviously above board, nothing to see here and if you disagree you’re an election-denying, conspiracy theorist QAnon supporter.

What’s that, you actually want localised fascism? Huh.

m0nty-fa confirms that his definition of fascism is “anything he disagrees with”.

  1. Is that the line being pushed by the DNC/MSM talking points? Very inventive, but hardly credible.
