One thing he missed – insurance.
Insurance companies are writing off EV’s with even minor damage, due to the risk of the battery being damaged and setting fire to the entire car later on. Given GovCo’s “current thing” of “encouraging” EV’s, it wouldn’t surprise me to learn that they will insist that the resulting increase in premiums required to cover this be spread across ALL cars, including ICE vehicles, otherwise the cost to EVs would un-do all the “good work” they have done with subsidies etc and slow down the uptake of EVs even more due to higher costs – something that is already happening in Europe, where it costs more to recharge your EV than to re-fill your ICE cars fuel tank with petro-chemicals, despite the extra taxes etc.
