The boycott of Wokeworths still going strong based on comments at the Oz and Daily Mail.

At what point do the Board say we will have to sacrifice the CEO? Even a significant payout would be much cheaper than the damage being caused now.

Yes, makes me wonder if as a liberal Saffie he doesn’t quite understand Australian patriotism and views it through the lens of the apartheid regime.

I had to explain quite a few things to our liberal Saffie Christmas guest this year.

Old Ozzie, for $200k, I think I would rather get a real sports car.

https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/1962-jaguar-e-type-manual/OAG-AD-22028711/?Cr=23

I know this is not a cabriolet, but after 2 miles, the Mazda powered MG-A, (or almost any other vehicle), would need a F-18F radar to see where it had gone.

Rufus,

agreed would go with E-Type

Before marriage, owned & did up 4 MGs

MGA Twin Cam, MG TD, MG TF 1500 & MG TC which I was in the process of minor restoration (eg Inner Door panels had vinyl leopard skin covering), when buying block of land with my wife, was forced to drag out of my mother’s carport where it had been languishing needing TLC and drive to bloke at Belrose to whom I had sold, where his wife did not look enthusiastic as it arrived

The boycott of Wokeworths still going strong based on comments at the Oz and Daily Mail.

I’ve boycotted them since the start of the pandemic scare, when they made customers queue up and be required to provide personal information before being allowed into their store. I happened to be there on the first day they instituted this policy, and there was a long line of customers outside on a cold, windy day. There was an old fella using a walking frame, and I went up front to ask if he could be allowed through.

No can do, said the door Nazis.

That was it. They have been dead to me ever since.

Unlike people in many regional and rural parts, I do have an Aldi and a Coles nearby, as well as IGAs dotted about. Unfortunately, not everyone has the option to boycott Woolworths.

But, those of us who can should do so, and also (as I have done) send them an email telling them why ignoring Australia Day while celebrating Chinese New Year, Diwali and so on is not only deeply offensive, it is spitting on the graves of those who died or were disabled defending this country.

Time to fill those inboxes, folks!

Makka – re the tank causing a short, the main gun round hit a power pole and somehow the live lines set off the charge. It was a very unlucky event.

Investigation into deaths of 6 soldiers: Tank fired and set off detonation system (9 Jan)

Initial investigation finds that the explosion in Gaza killing 6 combat soldiers occurred when a tank fired and hit an electric pole

As to the one yesterday:

New details from disaster | Terrorists came out of an orchard and fired an RPG (23 Jan)

The charges were prepared in a rural area, near orchards, and as the soldiers prepared to exit the buildings to set off the charges, a group of Hamas terrorists came out of the orchards and fired RPGs at the two buildings which immediately collapsed as a result of the charges, approximately ten in each building, which were wired to each other.

Can’t do much about this sort of thing. Even if the tank were located elsewhere it was the unlucky hit on the power pole whilst shooting at an enemy that somehow caused the charges to detonate in the first instance. And in the second instance unfortunately the enemy always gets a vote.

Toyota Chairman Says Electric Cars Will Never Dominate Global Market

BY TYLER DURDEN – WEDNESDAY, JAN 24, 2024 – 12:00 PM

Toyota’s chairman and former CEO, Akio Toyoda, is at it again: providing the public with a dose of reality that electric vehicles will never dominate the global car market.

Toyoda, grandson of the founder of the world’s largest car manufacturer, expressed at a business event this month, as reported by The Telegraph, that EVs will never capture 30% of global market share.

He noted: “Customers — not regulations or politics — should make that decision.”

Over the years, Toyota has openly demonstrated defiance against governments and NGOs pushing for 100% EVs in just a few decades, if not earlier.

In October, Toyoda told reporters at an auto show in Japan that EVs aren’t the silver bullet against the supposed ills of carbon emissions they’re often made out to be.

Toyota has a history of being at the forefront of adopting new technologies. However, its slow EV adoption is because of its mistrust of lithium-ion batteries, and it has positioned itself to be a leader in hybrid vehicles.

Perhaps Toyoda has been vindicated to some extent as EV demand slumps.

In recent days, Ford announced plans to slash production of its all-electric F-150 Lightning in April “to achieve the optimal balance of production, sales growth and profitability.”

For those who purchased EVs during the Covid mania, the average price of a used Tesla has collapsed.

And used Tesla prices are likely to slide more as rental car company Hertz Global Holdings has decided to dump 20,000 EVs onto the already sliding used car market.

BloombergNEF data shows prices of EVs that were part of rental car fleets have also crashed.

Pretty fair summation of keeping Jan 26 as Oz Day from another blog …….

The first fleet consisting of 8 ships arrived in Sydney Harbour on 26th January 1788 and embarked 1373 people of which 789 were convicts together with 245 Royal Marines ,the marines not really an invasion force merely acting as prison warders.
It would be guaranteed that the randy convicts in no time would get among the bleck gins and no doubt added to their gene pool. Probably many of today’s Australians have a touch of the tar brush in their genetic makeup
We celebrate this day of arrival and mark it as the day civilisation arrived in the great South Land.
The local inhabitants were unimpressive, being low intellect primitives who supposedly had inhabited the land for over 40,000 years during which time they achieved nothing merely eking out an existence as hunter, gatherers.
In the 236 years of European occupation, a continent of 7.688,000 square kilometres was developed into thriving first world country. Roads ,bridges dams, irrigation systems, railway networks, towns and cities were developed to make Australia rich and prosperous with great outcomes in health education and welfare (available to even our modern day primitives)
I am a proud Australian one of many descended from those who arrived in wooden boats 2 centuries ago.

This is what happened and let us stop the revisionists from rewriting history

Bruce, link all you want. I know some about shotfiring and the tech, training and knowledge behind it. Those charges , if laid properly with the correct parts, method, cutouts and tech, should not have gone off. In any case, having so many humans inside a live shot zone is just begging for trouble. The righteous IDF is not immune from fk ups.

the first time was when a nearby tank fired their main gun, which caused an electrical short.

No. If the shots were wired correctly then , no short would be possible. That’s how shots are supposed to work.

The risk with electrical detonators is an unexpected firing caused by an induced current, or stray currents in the work area.

Safe practice is to have the bare ends of the leg wires twisted together to short out these unwanted firing currents. But at some stage you have to separate them to hook up the shot – at which time you’re exposed to the risk.

I’ve no idea how a gun shot could cause an electrical current or magnetic field – but presumably that must have coincided with the hook up.

Does the fact there has been such a backlash (elites sensing the opportunity to self-promote) against Woolies, not suggest that Their ABCess can also be redefined as political & social poison?

I realise the differences of course, but the same broad tactic applies: Remove the legs of the chair (the supporters/enablers) and the chair itself (the remaining seat and backrest) becomes less capable of performing its function, and thus less valuable.

A prerequisite for changing the trajectory of the ABCess is devaluing it (reputationally). An object of little or no value is less likely to be defended by those elites who see personal opportunity in its defence.

I wish the tax-free threshold was removed. Time people faced up to nothing is free.

Raising the tax free threshold makes more sense.
All taxpayers receive the benefit.
It aligns with my views on reducing taxes on income.
It’s quite productive (reduces the amount of individuals who are obliged to lodge tax returns).
It’s good economically, poorer people tend to spend every cent they get, so there’s a multiplier effect.

Tax cut for top earners halved under stage three changes

The federal government will slash the stage three tax cut for those earning $200,000 from $9075 to $4657 in what Anthony Albanese has defended as a necessary backflip to help struggling households.

The changes, the full details to be approved by caucus today, include lowering the 19 per cent tax rate for incomes up to $45,000, lifting the tax-free threshold from $18,200 to $19,000, and reinstating the 37 per cent rate for those earning between $135,000 and $190,000, after which the 45 per cent rate will apply.

The net effect means people earning up to $150,000 will be better off than they would have been under the currently legislated stage three tax package, while the benefit for those on the highest incomes will almost be halved.

Those earning under $45,000 and not eligible for stage three cuts, will also be looked after with the 19 per cent rate that applies between the tax-free threshold and $45,000 to be lowered to 16 per cent. This is worth a maximum $932 a year for someone on $45,000 and above.

Set to be a ‘tough week’ ahead as attack on Australia Day ramps up

Sky News host Steve Price has anticipated a “tough week” ahead as the attack on Australia Day ramps up in the leadup to Friday.

This comes after both Tennis Australia and Cricket Australia decided not to celebrate the national day at the Australian Open and Gabba Test respectively.

“This attack on our celebration of all things that are great about living in this fantastic country has intensified every year to the point where we find ourselves today,” Mr Price said.

“How is it that Cricket Australia and Tennis Australia think it’s a good idea to ignore the majority of Australians and pander to a vocal minority because they shout louder?”

Mr Price also said the Blak Sovereign movement, led by Senator Lidia Thorpe, is set to take to the streets – “linking their claims of colonial settlement as being an invasion, making claims of genocide and brutal violence, to the current conflict that’s unfolding in Gaza”.

“And sadly many younger Australians just hear the loopy protest shouting and don’t bother to check the facts”.

Pink Pigs are flying in Woolworths as the Pope becomes a Catholic!

‘I misread the environment’: Woolworths boss on Australia Day

Woolworth’s chief executive Brad Banducci admits he misread the political environment by deciding to drop Australia Day merchandise

The supermarket giant has suffered a public backlash – Mr Banducci has received 3000 emails about the Australia Day decision and said threats against staff had jumped by 50 per cent – after Opposition leader Peter Dutton called for a boycott in response to the decision.

Woolworths issued full-page advertisements on Wednesday and the CEO launched a media blitz, insisting the chain was not trying to “cancel Australia Day”. Mr Banducci said the decision was made almost 12 months ago and reflected poor Australia Day sales.

“The decision [on Australia Day merchandise] was a commercial one but clearly I, we, misread the political environment and did not land our message as effectively as we should have,” he told The Australian Financial Review.

The decision re-energised a debate about “woke capitalism” and the role of corporate leaders taking a stand on social issues such as the Indigenous Voice to parliament.

The South African-born CEO said he is now a proud Australian but declined to comment on the date of Australia Day, which is the anniversary of the arrival of colonial settlers on the continent.

The boycott of Wokeworths still going strong based on comments at the Oz and Daily Mail.

Interesting to watch the share price. It goes down and then goes up. My amateur guess is that the algorithms were waiting for it to drop by a small amount to trigger a big buy. Hence the increased price. The real test is over the next few weeks. Just a guess.

Shouldn’t the invincible warriors of the “First Nations” driven this rabble into the sea, without even pausing for breath

It’s a little known fact that the First Nations radar facility at Church Hill did pick up the first fleet as it came up the coast from the Botany Bay rocket range.

Unfortunately, the First Nation Defence Force’s Maginot Line defence lasers were not functioning at the time due to lack of energy from the Parramatta Wind Turbine farm.

The rest is history.

On Stage 3 tax cuts, there is a lesson for the SFLs in this.
The oh-so-clever political operatives thought they would get a double-whammy sugar hit in the polls … firstly with an announcement before the 2022 election, and secondly when the tax cuts are introduced before the 2025 election.
If you believe in tax reform JUST FKN DO IT! If they had, if Luigi wanted to do what he now proposes he would be looking at having to actually increase taxes on some taxpayers, probably some Teal voters among them, rather than just re-jigging the proposed tax scales in advance.
A good number of those who would have benefited from original Stage 3 cuts probably won’t even notice now.
Completely different if your net pay suddenly takes a hit one fortnight.

Before marriage, owned & did up 4 MGs
MGA Twin Cam, MG TD, MG TF 1500 & MG TC which I was in the process of minor restoration (eg Inner Door panels had vinyl leopard skin covering), when buying block of land with my wife, was forced to drag out of my mother’s carport

Old Ozzie – you would like a yarn with my husband. When we were first married in had a magnificent red MGA. However, when I fell pregnant – it had to go. He took it on spec to a Parramatta car shark who offered him a pittance – of course. Husband then gestured to a white MGA on the lot – one far inferior to our magnificent red one. Car shark quoted a ridiculously low figure – even for a lesser car. So my husband said OK – I’ll buy it!

It was at a time when the NSW Consumer Affairs dept had just been created & boo one knew it was a toothless tiger. So when the car shark tried to squirm out of the deal, husband threatened to go to Consumer Affairs. We bought the dud white one & sold it for a profit. Then sold the magnificent red one privately. It was a great triumph & we really needed the money at the time.

After that we owned many different sorts of “sporty” cars, but not an MGB until decades later. I came home from a sole trip OS & found an MGB in the garage! Husband said “Look what I bought you” – & then I noticed it had our daughter’s initials on the number plate! Very naughty – she was still at school doing her HSC & the principal was very annoyed when she drove it to school. Wouldn’t turn a hair, these days.

We sold it & bought her a sedan when she moved into the inner city for university., as it was sure to bee stolen on the streets of Pyrmont. Predictably, she whinged about losing her sports car.

Years later another MG appeared in our garage – an MDTF – which he restored almost from the ground up. It was a magnificent restoration & set a record price when it was eventually sold at Shannons. I put together a small self published book which documented the restoration.

Empty home tax

I have some neighbours who are only in the house a couple weeks a year. The rest of the year it is empty and no signs of life, except the same lights that burn 24/7.

How would anyone know, apart from observant neighbours, what is or is not an occupied dwelling? A gardener comes regularly to mow and keep things under control.

I’m not going to dob, as I see no reason to engage with bureacrats or give them more to do.

Honestly, best neighbours ever.

They don’t expect to collect on it.
A lot of people run one light and leave a tap dribbling slowly to use some water, so an analysis of utilities shows it as occupied. I think holiday houses have to be occupied one month per year. The $212 Billion Future Fund – an even greater $272 Billion when the other Public monies that it manages are included – is Australia’s greatest national financial asset that the people really do own.

By any measure, it has been an outstanding success.

In the most graphic illustration of the power of compound interest, it’s been growth from the original $60.5 Billion to $212 Billion in just over a decade and a half by earning an average of 8.2% a year.

Amy Coney Barrett Says Ruling For Open Border Has Nothing To Do With Landscaping Work She Needs Done This Summer

WASHINGTON, DC — Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett fielded questions from reporters regarding her controversial vote to remove razor wire from the Texas border and claims it has absolutely nothing to do with her plans to re-landscape her yard this summer.

“My plans to have a nice row of Elm trees planted along the southern fence of my backyard has nothing to do with my vote to allow more gardeners, er, I mean illegal immigrants, into the country,” Justice Barrett explained.

The Supreme Court ruled in a 5-4 vote against Governor Greg Abbott’s efforts to stop the flow of illegal immigrants entering the United States through Texas’s southern border. Justice Barrett voted to allow border patrol agents to remove razor wire placed there by Texas officials, a move she said has nothing to do with her search for a landscaping crew that’s affordable and will work for cash payments.

“My yard plans have nothing to do with my vote to allow the river of illegal migrants to continue to pour across the border,” Justice Barrett said. “Now, if Governor Abbott happens to send a bus of hard-working cheap laborers up to the East Coast and I happen to pick up a few of those laborers in the parking lot of my local Home Depot and they happen to install a nice flagstone path between my deck and backyard veggie garden, so be it.”

As of publishing time, Justice Barrett had downloaded the language-learning app Duolingo on her phone and was learning all the ways to say “I want Kentucky Blue Grass planted over there by the rock wall, please,” a move she says has nothing to do with her most recent judicial decision.

making decisions and taking responsibility
??I would like you to tell me what top leaders should know.

Chairman Toyoda

I don’t think I’m in a position to give advice, but there are only two things I’ve done as a manager . Making decisions and taking responsibility . I came here thinking that these two things are the job of a manager.

I think that when (employees) come to me for advice, it’s probably as a last resort.

So, when I leave my room, I’m thinking of giving them an answer that will let them know that this is what they should do .

However, I am not a predictor of the future, so my answer may not be correct. However, I hope that by at least stepping out of my room and doing something, I will be able to see more things.

If I make a mistake, I will take responsibility . It’s easy to say, but the question is whether they will actually do it.

If you could show yourself how you would act when something difficult comes up, I think a lot of things would change.

In my case, I think the feeling was, “Quickly take responsibility for the deficit and quit. That’s your role.”

However, the reason it has lasted this long is because the crisis continued. The crisis continues and no one knows the answer. I think it’s because I was determined and said, “Do whatever the outcome is,” and stood up to the public when things didn’t go well.

I think it is important for you to demonstrate this attitude one by one.

Regarding the Japanese media these days, I feel that they should not be too divisive and slanderous.

The future belongs to our children and those who have a long way to go. I think the kind of adult you show yourself is also important.

Today’s adults can take the initiative and say thank you to each other . We can help each other . And you’ll smile more . If we don’t create such a world, I think children will continue to flee this country.

I believe that if you show your support by standing up for someone when something goes wrong, you will definitely get a lot of support.

Philips

Dementia is inspirational like a 1 week dead carcass.

Phillips, 54, is expected to pitch himself to voters as a sprier alternative to the 80-year-old Biden, whom he has otherwise praised as “a president of great competence and success.” But given Biden’s advanced age, Phillips has argued, Democratic voters deserve “not a coronation, but … a competition.”

How Dean became a Demon. He met a Republican. Makes sense.

In 2022, Phillips told a reporter that Pauline was responsible for his eventual party affiliation: “When I was in the sixth grade, John Anderson, the former Republican congressman from Illinois who was running for president, came to my school and spoke. And that night, we were having a family dinner, and my grandma asked about my day and said, ‘Before you continue, are you a Democrat or Republican?’ I didn’t know. And she said, ‘You’re a Democrat.’ So she anointed me a Democrat when I was 11 years old.”

He went to Brown, known as the dumping ground for stupid rich kids.

In 1991, he earned a bachelor’s degree in urban studies from Brown University, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity and a newscaster for the campus radio station.

Leahy was always a dirtbag.

He interned for Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) during the summer of 1989. He later described it as “ the greatest summer of my life” and credits the experience with inspiring him to run for Congress.

Appears lax on border issues.

During his first term, he led two bipartisan trips to the Southern border. “What I saw was almost indescribable,” he said, following his second visit in July 2019. “I couldn’t believe that, in my own country, that people were being kept in the ways that I saw.”

He’s pro-abortion and anti-abortion.

He identifies as pro-choice, though he hasn’t always been clear about his stance on abortion rights. In 2017, he reportedly told a group of voters, “I’m pro-life. And I’m also pro-choice. And I don’t think they’re mutually exclusive. I think it’s really important to be both. And I celebrate both.”

Total moderate.

He has voted with Biden’s stated policy positions 100 percent of the time.

Loves MAGA but doesn’t like Trump

He has also criticized other third-party candidates like Cornel West and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who are both running as independents. “Those people are absolutely helping Trump,” he has said.

Loves renewballs.

Moderate.

I saw a comment online where somebody said a Woolworths store manager had said sales were down 20%. Based on online comments under every article I have read and from speaking to people the boycott is very significant and might even be growing as more spread the word and look into alternatives.

This is like a repeat of the referendum vote in terms of the people sending a message about First Nations type wokeness. Further fuel to the fire due to the UnAustralian tennis and cricket being on.

There are plenty of woke CEO’s but Woolworths stuck it’s head up a bit higher to become a target of a lot of upset people who are fed up and protesting with their money. Based on media today there is nothing the CEO can do to stop the damage.

Obviously they have the detail of the losses being caused despite what the share price is. Does there become a point when they have to announce to the market that this will affect their next result?

I don’t know the details but if 20% of their sales went away for 3 months based on their last reporting how much in millions would it be in lost actual profit.

How much downside is likely for the shares. Or will the Super funds help out by buying to keep it looking respectable? Has Blackrock CEO called to congratulate CEO about his good ESG commitment in the face of pressure?

“Interesting to watch the share price. It goes down and then goes up. My amateur guess is that the algorithms were waiting for it to drop by a small amount to trigger a big buy. Hence the increased price. The real test is over the next few weeks. Just a guess”

[Permanent Edition] Chairman Toyoda’s Speech “Me and the Toyota Production System – The fight to restore sovereignty to the workplace

On January 13 , Chairman Akio Toyoda gave a lecture entitled “Me and the TPS (Toyota Production System) Fight to Restore Sovereignty to Workplaces” in front of 200 corporate managers and executives in Tokyo .

The venue was the 40th anniversary general meeting of the NPS Study Group * , an organization of manufacturing companies.

Although Chairman Toyoda has appeared at numerous press conferences, he has actually rarely had the opportunity to stand on the podium to give a lecture.

Moreover, this was the first time that I spoke for 45 minutes on a specific topic, TPS .

Chairman Toyoda, who says that TPS is not just an initiative to increase factory productivity, but also his own “management philosophy,” told a real story about his journey from his encounter with TPS to his struggles after becoming president .

We present an uncut version of the lecture, which will be kept forever by the Toyota Times.

*Reference: What is NPS/NPS Study Group?

NPS is an abbreviation for ” The New Production System ,” and refers to a management method that flexibly and quickly responds to changes in the environment and promotes efficient manufacturing.

The study group aims to establish a new production system ( NPS ), and consists of Mikiya Kinoshita of Ushio Inc., Kagetami Kawasaki of Oiles Industries, and Kibun Foods Co., Ltd. It was started as a self-study group led by Masahito Hoashi and others.

Viewing TPS as a management philosophy that can be applied to any industry other than automobiles, more than 45 member companies ( one company per industry ) are currently participating.

At Toyota, in 1982 , Taiichi Ohno, former vice president of Toyota Motor Corporation, who systematized TPS, became the study group’s first top advisor . Since last year, Executive Fellow Shigeki Tomoyama has been serving as the fourth senior advisor .

Who am I?

?Cars and sports (childhood to school days)

First, I would like to introduce myself and tell a story about myself.

I was born in 1956 as the eldest son of the Toyota family . When I was born, his father, Shoichiro, was a director at Toyota.

My father came home in various cars, so I feel like there was always a car by my side.

Meanwhile, there are some unforgettable memories.

May 3 , 1966 . The final race of the 3rd Japan Grand Prix was held at Fuji Speedway. My father took me to the races as a present for his 10th birthday.

The contents of the present are a cool car that drives around and a loud engine sound. And it was a sight of cool adults involved in cars.

I fell in love with cars.

Now that I think about it, perhaps the greatest gift my father gave me was creating the origins of “Car Guy Morizo” in me.

On the other hand, from around this time onwards, Toyota was always associated with me, and I began to be labeled as “Bonbon, the founding family”.

?Decided to join Toyota

After graduating from university, I joined an American investment bank.

In addition to my motivation to learn about the flow of money in the world and cutting-edge financial technology, I also want to live a life different from that of Toyota as a person. I think that’s why I chose the path.

However, even here he could not escape the eyes of the “heir of Toyota.”

“ Who am I? ” “Who am I?” These feelings were growing inside me.

If you can’t escape, try facing Toyota head-on. “Who am I?” You might find a hint.

With this in mind, I decided to join Toyota Motor Corporation.

My father, who was the company president at the time, had just one word to say. I was told, “There is no boss at Toyota who would want to have you as a subordinate.” When I actually joined the company, it was exactly like that.

When people approach me, people say things like, “Be careful with the president’s son,” or “You’re trying to play tricks,” or conversely, “Your father, who is the president, might tell you something.” ”, I can’t even hit it hard.

From the Toyota people’s perspective, I think they were a “troublesome presence.”

Before I knew it, I had become an “untouchable being”, a person that I would prefer not to interact with as much as possible.

? Encounter with TPS

Even for me, there was “salvation”. The first workplace I was assigned to was the Motomachi Factory.

My encounters with the people in the Motomachi General Assembly Department, Machinery Department, and other “field sites” and the Toyota Production System “ TPS ” gave me emotional support.

At that time, whenever I found time, I would go to the field and look for what I could do.

One day, the people at the site who were watching me put three broken bicycles together and made one just for me so that I could get around the site more easily. Ta.

I will never forget the joy I felt at that moment.

The people working at the Motomachi Plant treated me not as a founder, but as a newcomer and a human being .

Why? I think this is because ” TPS ” was deeply ingrained among the people in the field .

“Did you see it?” “What are the facts? ” This ” TPS ” way of looking at things and thinking is what “I want you to see your true self” in life . I think this is what I was looking for as I had always hoped for that .

At Nanpachi Hayashi’s recommendation, I began training in earnest at the Production Research Department, the head office of TPS, in order to become one of the successors of TPS .

I believe that the reason why I have been able to fulfill my role as Toyota’s “person in charge” to this point is because the philosophy, techniques, and behavior of ” TPS ” have taken root in me .

As you know, the two pillars of TPS are “just-in-time” and “advanced automation.”

“Just-in-time” means “reducing lead time as much as possible,” and “automation” embodies a workplace that can “recognize abnormalities” and “stop when they occur. ”

In fact, I believe that this ability to “stop when an abnormality occurs” is what is required of the top management, who are the “person in charge” in various aspects of management .

Since I became president, I have made many decisions. “Decision” is written as “decide” to “break”.

Literally, the decisions I have made up until now have made someone sad, such as “ Withdrawal from NUMMI ( joint venture with GM),” ` ` Withdrawal from F1 ,” “Withdrawal of Australian production,” and “Closing TMEJ (Toyota Motor East Japan) Higashifuji factory.” It was all about decisions.

What all of them have in common is that you must go to the “scene” and visualize the “face of the grieving person” and “the scene at the scene” based on what you have seen with your own eyes and heard with your ears. That’s what I’ve decided.

I believe that the important role of top management is to make decisions, that is, to decide to quit. Now, anyone can decide to be evaluated.

The decision to “quit” for the sake of future generations can only be made by top management who are determined to be the “person in charge.”

Because we can understand and visualize the site, we can take on all the responsibilities. In other words, you can make a decision.

“Did you see it?” “Those who know the scene are the strongest .The “ TPS ” that I learned at the Motomachi Factory and the Production Research Department has now become my management philosophy .

However, there were major hurdles to overcome before getting there.

The first wall was between production and sales, the old wall between Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. and Toyota Motor Sales.

On Monday, the day before the primary, Trump secured an endorsement from the political advocacy group CatholicVote. Brian Burch, the group’s president, announced that the group “will begin working in upcoming primary states, together with the top swing states to register, educate, motivate, and turn out every Catholic voter to back Trump — and defeat Joe Biden.”

“We had four years to watch him,” Burch added, speaking of Trump. “And he delivered. From executive orders, reform on regulations touching abortion, religious liberty, conscience, faith, and families — to wages, jobs, administration appointments, and of course, judges and the Supreme Court.”

In NYC, they check your cell phone records and I know of two couples living in Florida who were caught by this because they overstayed by a week of so. I’m sure I’ve read they check phone records here too, for land tax issues.

I’ll tell you who don’t look at evidence for your legitimate (or other) residency – & that are the damn electricity companies.

It is in fact the contrary. We are in residence in our city dwelling for 2/7 of our life & 5/7 of our time at the farm. This is on average. Yet, since the “smart” electricity meters were installed we appear to be charged for continual occupancy at the city house. We are currently arguing “the toss” on this, as husband has been keeping detailed readings.

Unfortunately, we didn’t know (until someone on this blog told us) that you don’t HAVE to accept a smart meter. The creeps just tell you the day the “new” metering will be installed – & don’t tell you it is not obligatory!

We haven’t tried yet, but I reckon it will be almost impossible to get a standard old style meter re-installed.

A New Drinking Game Sweeping Britain: Sending Pints to Strangers Across the Nation

In early December, Mark Hamlet took his elderly parents-in-law for a few festive drinks at his local pub in northern England.

He opened his phone and posted a picture of the couple on Facebook along with a message: “brought nana and grandad out for their early night cap. explained to them about the game…Nothing crazy guys I’ve gotta put them to bed.”

Within minutes, strangers across Britain were ordering the couple wine, beer and shots of liquor to their table at the George Inn near Stoke-on-Trent. “sent 2 half pints one for u and one for grandad and a wine for nan x have a great night,” wrote one donor. “Incoming Wine, beer and a couple of shots for the young’uns,” wrote another.

So much booze was sent that Hamlet started handing it out around the pub.

“Nana needs no sleep aide tonight guys. Thanks everyone xx,” he wrote with a picture of his mother-in-law leaving the pub several hours later.

Hamlet, 42 years old, was a winner in a drinking game that is sweeping Britain and may be one of the world’s more appealing national fixations to emerge in a while.

Strangers across the country are buying each other drinks out of both kindness and in the hope of getting a free tipple when they themselves go to the pub.

Colorful pub culture is a cornerstone of U.K. life, but the Brits have now raised the bar. It has been made possible by a quirk in the app of Britain’s largest chain of pubs, J D Wetherspoon, which allows you to input your location manually rather than using the location services on your phone.

That means you can order a drink online to any table in any of its roughly 800 taverns across the U.K.

The chain, which is known in Britain as “Spoons,” prides itself on extremely cheap beer, cavernous locations and clean restrooms.

It says it has nothing to do with the drinking game.

Fauci obviously one of those people who think that ideology is the source all decisions. Rubbish.

If you teach people to think for themselves and critically examine the stuff that government pushes, then you get wise decision making. Unfortunately, the schools stopped encouraging independent and critical thinking a generation ago.

And what is “ideological bullshit” according to Lord Fauci? I suggest it is an outdated “ideology” called the the independent thinking of the free man.

Opinion – Marc Elias Targets Wisconsin

by The Editorial Board

The new progressive majority on the Wisconsin Supreme Court last month overturned the state’s legislative district maps on a dubious legal pretense.

Now the national left that spent tens of millions to create that 4-3 majority is seeking a bigger prize:

A rewrite of the Badger State’s Congressional map in time for the 2024 election.

Last week the Democratic Party’s election law hit man Marc Elias and his Elias Law Group asked the Wisconsin Supreme Court to throw out the state’s current Congressional map.

They claim the state’s redistricting practices were “never sound in principle” and “unworkable in practice.”

The lawsuit says that because the Wisconsin Supreme Court ordered new maps to be redrawn without following the state’s previous requirement that legislative maps be drawn with the “least change” possible from previous maps, the state’s Congressional maps should also be invalidated.

The Court’s elimination of the “least change” standard, the Elias Group says, renders the current congressional maps “lawless in the most literal sense.”

Mr. Elias is turning “lawless” on its head.

That’s the more appropriate word for the progressive majority’s December decision, which discarded the Court’s own 2022 legal precedent in order to toss out the maps and redraw them to address partisan impact.

The ruling forces all state legislators to run in new districts with maps to be drawn under the progressive Supreme Court’s direction.

Ending the “least change” requirement was not the Court’s legal rationale for invalidating the maps, but it could now become its bludgeon to redraw the Congressional maps.

Democrats argue that because Wisconsin is a swing state, the Republican majority in the state Legislature and 6-2 tilt in the Congressional delegation is de facto evidence that the maps are gerrymandered.

But Wisconsin’s current Congressional maps were drawn by Democratic Gov. Tony Evers, not the GOP Legislature.

Wisconsin’s Democratic voters are concentrated in the metropolitan areas of Milwaukee and Madison. Their seats in those cities are safe. Democrats want to spread those votes to capture the districts held by Republicans Bryan Steil and Derrick Van Orden.

But drawing lines to redistribute liberal voters from cities to dominate rural districts is a more egregious partisan gerrymander than the existing map.

The Steil and Van Orden seats are competitive today, and Mr. Van Orden’s district was held for 26 years until 2022 by Democrat Ron Kind. In 2022 Mr. Van Orden won with 52% of the vote and Mr. Steil with 54%.

Mr. Elias is the fellow who sued to change election laws in many states before the 2020 election to help Democrats.

It worked in states like Pennsylvania with Democratic-majority Supreme Courts, catching the Trump campaign and Republican National Committee flat-footed.

Throwing out the maps to redraw two districts to favor Democrats would shift the balance of the Wisconsin Congressional delegation and increase Democratic odds of retaking the House.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court doesn’t have much time to consider the case, since election officials would need new maps by mid-March to prepare for an August primary.

If they make that happen, it would be the first time in history the election of a single state Supreme Court Justice overturned a state Congressional delegation and, perhaps, the balance of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Based on how they’ve behaved so far, the left-wing Justices may be more than happy to entertain another judicial coup.

A north-westerly airstream will spread the hot air across NSW during the next three days, sending both minimum and maximum temperatures up to 12 degrees above average and triggering a heatwave warning for much of the state.

The heatwave is rated as “severe” for areas north of the Illawarra, an indication the high temperatures could be dangerous to vulnerable groups.

It’s even rated as “extreme” around the lower Mid North Coast, which signals potentially dangerous heat for all groups.

According to NSW Health, groups at risk include babies and young children, pregnant women, people over 65 years old, people who work outside, live alone or are socially isolated, who are homeless or have certain medical conditions.

This trend of gubbmint scaring us about normal events like summer, rainfall, or lack thereof is diabolical.

My Fellow Gazans: We Must Demand the Release of the Israeli Hostages | Opinion

Story by Hamza Howidy

In the months following the October 7 massacre of Israelis, I have not been able to stop thinking about how much spite and hate it must have taken for Hamas’s leaders and militants to convince themselves that beheading, raping, and kidnapping civilians was something their God asked them to do as a kind of worship.

It’s the only way to explain what at the end of the day remains a mystery:

How could a person convince himself that kidnapping women in their 80s and little children is some kind of noble “resistance”?

Then I remembered a horrifying scene that took place 16 years ago, when I was a little child in Gaza. Hamas supporters were celebrating the victory of taking control of Gaza from Fatah—the “decontamination” of Gaza, as they called it.

I still remember detainees being dragged by Hamas members on motorcycles to Al-Saraya Street in Al-Remal neighborhood with obvious signs of torture on their bodies.

I remembered Hamas members firing dozens of bullets into their bodies from their AK-47s.

I remembered Bahaa Balousha’s three children who were under the age of 10, who were killed by masked men because their dad was a Fatah member.

These memories helped me understand October 7.

This is who Hamas has always been.

They were not better to their own people than they were to the innocent Israelis they massacred.

They are psychopaths.

And they have for 16 years held the people of Gaza hostage.

Not that we could discuss this in Gaza.

It’s not safe to talk about your thoughts or feelings about Hamas in Gaza, because you never really know if the person you are talking to is an undercover Hamas member or supporter.

Still, I used to believe Hamas was a ticking time bomb, which gave me the courage to stand up to them.

I organized protests against Hamas. But received no international support, despite asking for it, when we spoke out against Hamas in 2019 and 2023.

We felt betrayed and utterly alone while fighting for our freedom—then coming home and turning on the television only to find that Arabic media was more interested in the weather than our fight for freedom.

Had we been supported, had Hamas been disposed of, it would have prevented the October 7 attacks and all the innocent Palestinians killed when Hamas now uses them as human shields.

As you know, Hamas was not disposed of.

Instead, we were punished. I was imprisoned and tortured.

Twice I became a Hamas hostage within a nation of them, until I managed to leave Gaza.

And as someone who was imprisoned and tortured by Hamas, I find that I have to speak up for the kidnapped Israelis, even if it means my family is in danger from Hamas and their supporters.

Because I don’t wish for anyone to live through what I did in Hamas’ custody.

If we don’t speak out about the atrocities Hamas has committed, if we don’t speak up on behalf of the Israeli hostages, we are allowing Hamas to paint the entire population of Gaza as a group of terrorists who celebrated Hamas’s crimes.

If we don’t speak up, Hamas is able to falsely portray us as complicit, as cheering on their filmed atrocities.

After the October 7 attacks, lobbying campaigns, humanitarian organizations, and even Palestinians such as myself called for the release of the hostages back to their homes and families. I feel hope and happiness that a huge part of the world responded.

There must be more calls, and louder ones.

Don’t ignore Hamas’ Israeli hostages like you ignored Hamas’ Palestinian hostages.

And don’t forget that Gaza is still full of innocent Hamas hostages who are Palestinians.

When far-Right Israeli politicians call for collectively punishing the entire population of Gaza for Hamas’s actions, they are proving Hamas right.

I pray and call for the release of all hostages, as I hope for my city to be free from terrorism.

I beg the international community to recognize the plight of the Israeli hostages, and I beg the Israelis to recognize that their kidnapped brothers and sisters have joined us Palestinians in being Hamas’s victims.

We should all join in the calls for the IDF to stop its bombardment of areas crowded with civilians—and call for the immediate release of the hostages taken by Hamas.

The only way through this is when we recognize that we are not each other’s enemies:

We have a common enemy who must be destroyed.

Hamza Howidy is a Palestinian from Gaza City. He is an accountant and a peace advocate.

Driving home for lunch from dance class this morning I heard on the radio the CEO of Woolworths, a Serth Efrican by accent, saying how yes, yes indeed, he was going to celebrate Australia Day, he was a true blue New Australian himself, and would certainly be at a BBQ on Australia Day, and that Woollies had only made an economic decision on sales of Australia Day stuff, nothing to do with politics at all.

I walked by a Woollies in a big shopping centre yesterday and in comparison to a bustling Coles the place was very lightly attended by shoppers. A woman I barely know at dancing, whom I’d thought to be a Teal, volunteered she wasn’t buying at Woollies because it was only a minority against Australia Day and who was Woollies to tell her what she should celebrate.

I think Woollies sales must really be hurting, and it’s not improving as A Day comes near. Maybe they should get a few Aussie flags up at the doors and near the lamb counter pronto.

JC, all we want is an accurate bill for energy used at either/both properties. We are. not convinced that the smart meters are reflecting usage.

Remember Young Warwick?

There was a joke going around at the time: ‘How do you become the owner of a small business? Buy a big one and put Warwick Fairfax in charge of it.’

Just kidding. They’re great.

1/1000 ain’t bad.

I have a theory on that. We’re not seeing the full picture what housing was like say 100 years ago. We’re most likely seeing the stuff that was worth keeping, as I believe the market for the most part can sort that out.

OldOzzie, very interesting article about Toyoda. The English manufacturing company I worked for had as it Group Chairman, an English Lord. Very much in the same vein as Toyoda. Talk to anyone on the production floor. Actually listened to what was said and acted upon it. He told the workers about the challenges facing the industry in words they understood without being patronising. My part of the company was sold off to the Japanese after I left and the rest of the group is now based in India. I found the JIT and fully automated plant interesting. Another plant I was in charge of, only the engineering, JIT and semi automation showed a 10% reduction in costs and as they had standard pricing the profit was much higher for my plant.

Kimeee Williams new ABC chairman.
Concientious objector against Vietnam war, saved from court by Gough and Labor getting in.
Second marriage was to Gough’s daughter who apparently was best friend of his first wife.

Labor are all inbred, intermarried and nepotism is their most sacred habit.

Some modern homes are pretty ugly. Take a drive through Toorak some time. But I’m not sure we’re seeing the full picture of what things were like 100 years ago as a lot of them have disappeared, Older homes were dark and cold, which is why renos most often leave only the front facade.

This Richardson Post might be unduly optimistic. But then we need some optimism.
He argues that Trumpism is inspiring a resistance movement against the globalists and marxists.
