Watching series 2 of the Rings of Power.
Took me long enough to get to it.
I have to say, these Diversity Elves don’t really trouble the scorers.
They make Sauron look like aryan nation.
And all the boss ladies are strong women of colour.
No wonder series 2 had 60% less viewers than season 1.
This is a great moment in markets.
Tomorrow you will have some financial types on “the news” saying the market shitting itself is because of Chinese AI and some muppets will also try jam in “Trumps tariffs” as part of the reason.
Seriously, get the bingo card out.
Buying cryptos while they are dipping is making me happy.

Holocaust survivor slams ABC as ‘a disgrace’ for not sending reporters to AuschwitzJoanna Panagopoulos and James Madden
2 hours ago
Childhood Holocaust survivor Eddy Boas says the ABC’s decision to not send journalists to Poland for commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz was “a disgrace”.
Mr Boas, who turned 85 on Monday, was just four years old when his two-year imprisonment at the Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp began alongside his mother, father and brother.
He said the national broadcaster’s failure to commit any on-the-ground resources to its coverage of the commemoration was particularly disappointing, given the recent spate of antiSemitic attacks in Australia.
“The ABC is a government-owned radio and TV network … and yet they largely ignore the Jewish population – except those Jewish people on their side, which is only a handful of them,” Mr Boas said. “Absolutely someone from the ABC should be there (for the commemoration). It’s a worldwide event. Some countries have sent prime ministers or leaders of their country.
“The fact the ABC hasn’t sent anyone there is a disgrace. I’ve given up on the ABC.”
I do hope Nvidia gets smashed. They have been milking consumers for over a decade.
They’ve just released the latest line of GPUs. The 5090 is US$2000, can consume up to 600 watts, and has a marginal increase in performance over the 4090. AMD have never competed at the top end and only hold 10% of the market. Recently Intel has released low end GPUs that appear to be good value. Nvidia is in the same position Intel was until AMD released the Zen series. The AMD 9800X3D chip is easily the best gaming chip. Intel’s 13th and 14th gen chips were a disaster, some falling apart until a microcode fix. Intel is bleeding money. Nvidia take note.
Atlassian down 20% in the premarket.
Time to buy.
The CIA runs those turds; and the market is factoring in Trump.
I’m just taking in the Canes BBL win. Finally Tassie is good at something.
US farms have long struggled to obtain enough labor. This will be interesting because …
And in better news the Hobart Hurricanes have bashed the Sydney Thunder at Bellerive Oval with 5 overs to spare in the final. The first grand final win for the Tassie boys.in the 20/20 BBL..
There’ll be some pubs deciding to stay open later than usual tonight.
It won’t even be “the solution”.
It will be multiple solutions for different cancers.
Some involving … (gasp) … mRNA!
Some may involve….(gasp) Ivermectin!
Spent all morning looking for my car keys, becoming increasingly convinced this was a sign of early dementia. That – or husband had taken the keys accidentally when he had left for the farm – which he denied.
After turning house upside down, going through pockets in cupboards, in the wash basket etc etc I found them. They had fallen and wedged between driver seat and door as I had emerged from the car. Interesting, because throughout this search I used a process of logical deduction to narrow the possibilities – thus, I think, quite undermining my innate fear of faculty loss.
I could have done without the exercise.
BTW I found the damn keys after gobbling down one of the biscuits my old Holocaust friend had baked for me! Make of that as you will.
