2dogs November 23, 2024 1:41 am I heard an interesting rumour about Dutton’s nuclear plans. I don’t think that is…
Please let this be true.
Nah, what happened was this:
Hundreds of screaming blacks gathered outside a remote Police Station.
Inside were 2 young inexperienced Policemen.
The siege was terrifying and they panicked, dispersing the crowd with Machine Guns.
Way to miss the point, Ed.
You’ll note that that’s Dan’s message celebrating/noting ‘Harmony Day’.
21st of March every year.
For those who think it’s from a spoof account, nah, it’s not.

Great work Mater, pity there isn’t anyone in a position to bring this up with Andrews willing to do it. Like your earlier post pointed out, if they don’t lick his arse they get no access. I wonder if other pro vax passporters have this sort of thing in their past, sure they do but finding it is the hard part. I congratulate you on your willingness to look at five years or more of Andrews FB, I couldn’t do that, my stomach wouldn’t allow me.
saw,
I’m encouraging every to share it around via all social media platforms.
What could be more popular than saying that you agree wholeheartedly with Dan…in 2016?
It might get the Karens thinking.
Loss of moral compass, indeed.
Sorry, sfw.
Bloody autocorrect should be strung up using those infamous fake gallows.
Ladies and gentlemen, we got him.
I imagine that post will be deep-sixed in very short order.
Karens don’t think that’s why their Karens.
Done.
Thanks for the ammo.
It will be interesting to see just how long that post lasts.
There’ll be a bit of ‘oh, shit’ followed by a quick deletion. Much like the events surrounding the hugely successful, not-at-all-rorted and gold standard Victorian hotel quarantine strategy.
However – the Internet, much like the ocean, endures.
In classic Labor style, Andrews will ignore its existence, the staffer who wrote this will be sacked, and the media liaison staff will be expanded to ensure that it doesn’t happen again.
Sadly, none of the media will report or discuss the implications of this Facebook post. It’s not like it happened decades ago, so that it can be more easily passed off, this was stated two years into his first term in office.
I truly wonder what it will take before the MSM realise that they may well be backing the wrong horse?
Great find Mater.
As for all those tin eared political fascists screeching indignantly about the “violent scenes” outside that grandiose edifice to utterly failed “democracy” in Melbourne, you would do well to heed the following, “sow the wind, reap the whirlwind”.
The juggernaught will roll on.
“…media liaison staff will be expanded to ensure that it doesn’t happen again.”
Employ a brick layer to close off his mouth, and ban him from any and all contact with the media – without that, it will certainly happen again. Such holier-than-thou social justice worriers (not a typo) can’t help themselves – they have to show their moral superiority at every turn.
“If it saves ones life, it’s worth it” they say. Crucify Dan Andrews – it would save one life at least, and is therefore worth it. 🙂
I’m encouraging every to share it around via all social media platforms
Done.
Thanks for that Mater.
Good piece and good call, Mater. With Vicpol, that looks like where it’s heading.
Astonishing.
I’d love to hear his rationalisation. But no-one in the Spring Street press gallery will ask him about it as almost every one of them sees his/her job as protecting him (as he is of the same tribe)
Great get, Mater.
From the sophomoric style I’d suggest a staffer wrote this.
She’s either already moved on or soon will be.
As for Teflon Dan one can only assume that the focus geoups indicate that Victorians approve of vaccine dissidents being punished.
Usually a Q&A audience.
Perhaps Dan might inform them that they’ve lost their ‘moral compass’.
Unless, of course, he’s a hypocrite.
Worse; he’s a politician.
As are the directives that now see me treated as a second class citizen.
It’s under his name, consequently it needs to be hung around his neck like an Albatross.
Bemused,
I truly wonder what it will take before the MSM realise that they may well be backing the wrong horse?
What makes you think they do not already know everything there is to know about Andrews and approve of all of it? The MSM are not our friends, they are not innocents who are being fooled, they are active participants.
Hypocrisy is the tribute vice pays to virtue (la Rochefoucauld).
Politics is increasingly a vicious arena. That is evident from the way they deal with each other and now the manner in which they have turned on the electorate with lies, fear mongering and the fostering of social divisions. And all for purely political advantage.
I don’t think it’s possible for a politician as adept as Andrews to be a hypocrite.
To be one he would have to know what virtue is.
Well done Mater!
What a shame we can’t get that damning piece out into the community. Maybe to the Reignite Democracy group? Would make a good placate.
Just saw Andrew’s on Ch7 blatantly telling the interviewer (the vacuous Natalie Barr) that Victoria only locked down because they did not have any vaccines! And she didn’t question this!
That should read “placard”.
From the sophomoric style I’d suggest a staffer wrote this
Staffer or no staffer, I’m Daniel Andrews and I endorse this message
Sure…I understand your point.
But when the only people who can bring about Andrews’s downfall sit in the VIC ALP party room – and we know what their characters amount to – this isn’t the silver bullet.
Nor is anyone Andrews’ friend. He plays the media like saps and they perhaps genuinely believe he’s on their side, but only if they play by his rules and his rules alone. When you put someone into such a position of power, everyone around him soon enough has to start being very, very, careful. Think about how things are going for the faithful in NK.
bemused, neither Victoria nor Australia is NK. There are no labour camps if the media stray off the reservation, so they’re complicit.
I have many moral compass for sale at discount pricing.
Which direction would you prefer?
I don’t think it’s possible for a politician as adept as Andrews to be a hypocrite.
To be one he would have to know what virtue is
Roger, on the face of it that may be reasonable. But we shouldn’t cut any despot any slack -the mindset that says I’ll condemn others and make them hurt, because of the past unfairness I think I experienced .
The crowd that wants everyone to remember He didn’t have a good upbringing; the father beat him; he wasn’t good at sport and was left out of the team. That stuff he could’ve risen above if he wasn’t enabled to sook about it.
Of course the media are complicit, but there are many other ways to suppress/remove dissidents. It hasn’t started yet, but really how safe are the media if things get to such a state that some things can no longer be ignored?
What I wrote about politicians and virtue above also applies to most members of the press.
It’s no longer just the ABC where ideology and bias reign.
After Palaszczuk won the last election up here a host of journalists – including ABC QLD’s chief state political reporter – jumped on her bandwagon as “media advisers”. She’s continued to add to their number since. No shortage of candidates for the positions, it would seem.
Just had a comment directly quoting Andrews Facebook page rejected by The Australian, so getting the message out there won’t be easy!
She’s continued to add to their number since. No shortage of candidates for the positions, it would seem
It’s not the risk summary detention, the real problem is the promise/hope of a job on the gravy train of working for high up politicians.
Maybe they think it’s not real.
Might be worth a redress…with link.
If the reports that circulated are correct, said reporter Chris O’Brien was at his ABC desk one Friday afternoon and in the Premier’s office the following Monday morning.
Even his colleagues didn’t know he was leaving.
Who gets sacked though?
PRGuy17 or “J”?
So, NOT, ‘just something from long ago’, that, ‘slipped Daniel Andrews mind’.
That Evil man is in fact Aware of His Evil.
I know many here don’t care for Rebel News, but here’s something apropos to this thread: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GnaPIs5lSw.
Rebel News is suing the Andrews government for not allowing them access to press meetings.
A great find, yes, but the highlighting of hypocrisy normally only works on those who have the willingness and capacity to feel guilt or shame; who then (in theory, at least) adjust their future behaviour, lest they again feel those emotions. The fear of repeating the experience (being shamed) motivates a behavioural change. The key word is ‘fear.’
What happens if the individual is either unwilling or incapable (or both) of feeling guilt? Without that guilt, and the fear of experiencing shame, there is no motivating factor to influence behavioural change. The act of highlighting perceived hypocrisy, then becomes an investment of resources that achieves no outcome.
I’m not claiming that everyone of our opponents are mentally unbalanced, or suffer from a personality disorder. However, in the approach that our opponents take, there is a degree of narcissism, in that the content of the message conveyed is either supported or diminished by the person who conveys it.
Dan Andrews would see himself AS the moral compass of the State of Victoria. The moral compass has NOT been lost, because HE IS that moral compass, and he is still ‘here.’ The faceache message from a few years ago is PROOF that he, Dan Andrews, was a moral compass back then, and still is. So what are these haters frothing about?
Yes, to us, the hypocrisy is galling. To us it matters. To our opponents who set the rules (which we are still very happy to play by), it doesn’t matter. Our highlighting of these hypocrisies (as a stand-alone tactic) achieves nothing in terms of a behavioural change in those who make the rules.
Dan doesn’t have to feel guilt or shame (I’d wager he’s incapable of either).
Perhaps it’s enough if some of his supporters started to feel a little of both, as a result of the rank hypocrisy on display. Which one of Dan’s statements do they support – vaccine passports are great, or they are grotesque?
Dan is nothing without the #istandwithdaners.

It’s Only Country But We Like It

If they support him, after all that has occurred (a benign term, I know) during the last 20 months, isn’t it likely that they will continue to support him regardless of what he says and does? If their leader does not acknowledge any hypocrisy in his actions, why would they?
Why would they take any notice of what the ‘dark forces’ say? We could make a statement word-for-word the same as the Enlightened One, and it would be perceived, analysed, and interpreted differently than the Andrews statement. Because he is Dan Andrews. ‘We’ are extreme right-wing haters and anti-vaxxers. NOTHING we say or do can be believed.
Andrews, I believe, is a poor man’s Barack Obama. Obama was an ideal, rather than an individual. It mattered little what he said or did – his followers still bathed in his omnipotence.
What is and is not working for us? How do we define ‘working’ let alone ‘winning?’
While focusing on these hypocrisies is entertaining, and gives us a brief moral ‘rush’ of righteousness, are we achieving anything significant? Have we substituted limp processes for measurable outcomes?
If conservatism were a business or a professional sporting team, we would examine these questions.
Muddy,
I’ll be honest with you here, and I’m not trying to be insulting.
We down here, are out of moves EXCEPT for finding these hypocrisies and trying to convince more people to stand against Dan’s mandates.
Have we “substituted limp processes for measurable outcomes”? No, limp processes are all we have left. We try to talk logic, reason and the obvious hypocrisies, and hope for the best. It fills in the time between weekend protests and lining up for mandatory jabs.
The only hope now is to win more people over to stand against mandatory boosters. If we can do that, the rest disappears. To do that, we need to take down Dan’s pedestal, one piece at a time, if necessary. The post above will contribute to that, and might be the last straw required to win another person over. Every single one counts.
If you’ve got a better idea, I’m all ears, but we Victorians have tried most other things (within the realms of the law). We are well aware that this is not a silver bullet. No such thing exists, South of the border. EVERY.SINGLE.STEP.IS.HARD.GRAFT.
In summary, we’re throwing Hail Mary’s, cause that’s all we’ve got left.
Cauldron Pool now detailing this . . .

Mater,
My apologies for the confusion I seem to have created. While I did reference the Supreme Dan, I was writing in a broad sense.
I have no particular clarity of thought regarding the surreal state of Victoria, nor do I have detailed answers for anything else.
I have questions, the investigation of which may contribute to lessons learned for the future. However, immediate, comprehensive solutions to a state of psychosis? No.
All good Muddy,
We’re all on edge, and misunderstandings are happening at both ends of conversations.
Surreal times.
Nah, Andrews is a very successful psychopath.
Sharpeville has been a Trope for White Privilege for 2 Generations, the way to counter it is to talk about the reality of Sharpeville, which nobody is game to do.
Well this was a depressing read . . .
https://www.theaustralian.com.au/nation/politics/yes-we-dan-andrews-on-track-for-third-term/news-story/d0a28c3d76f6da7e9ecc0f7166b60045
Daniel Andrews is on track to win a third term as Victorian premier with an increased majority with 12 months to go to next year’s state election, according to the first major Newspoll since the 2018 “Danslide” that reduced the Coalition to 27 of 88 lower house seats.
In a period when Victoria faced six Covid lockdowns covering 262 days, the ALP’s primary vote has increased from 42.9 per cent at the 2018 Victorian election to 44 per cent, while the Coalition’s primary vote support also has increased from 35.2 per cent in 2018 to 36 per cent in the latest poll.
If you want to be depressed more just read on . . .
“Nah, Andrews is a very successful psychopath.”
Psychopath? I dunno…
Sociopath – probably.
Narcissist – certainly.
Like so many who seek power, he isn’t stupid, but he thinks you (Vic voters) are. And given he keeps winning, he may not be wrong in that assessment – at least in generalities, if not specifics.
People want strong leaders, and they’ll vote for them – even when they are demonstrably “bad”. Put up a strong and eloquent opponent, and he’ll be gone. Where you find one…
Serious question: What is it about a leader perceived as ‘strong’ that attracts support? I mean this in a broad sense; including, but not limited to, politics. I also mean it on a psychological level, because I think that is what is not clearly understood yet.
Is abrogating a degree of control over your own life – transferring it to a strong leader – a means of escaping responsibility for decision-making? Is this a lack of self-confidence, self-esteem? Is this possible on a population, rather than individual level?
We live in a low-risk society now. By that I mean we seldom (at least publicly) acknowledge and venerate those who perform physical feats of endurance or exploration. We certainly recoil at acknowledging explorers and pioneers of the past. The ‘heros’ of today are sportspeople (who admittedly must possess skill and self-discipline to survive on a professional level), and celebrities who do and produce, very little. We consider ourselves ‘activists’ if we ‘like’ a social justice campaign on faceache. We pat ourselves on the back for sending nasty tweets to perceived subhumans.
(Yes, there are those who work in high-risk occupations, however they are seldom acknowledged in the same way that someone who was kicked off MAFS was).
To further minimise risk in our own life, we seek someone or something to share our burdens. We do that knowing there will be trade-offs. Statistically, most of the time those trade-offs will not be borne by us personally.
O.K., that’s my mumble for the evening. I did intend the question seriously though: What rewards do people derive (real or perceived) from supporting strong leaders.
