It takes less than five minutes to lodge an objection after you register on the portal, once that is done it can take as little as a minute for future objections if you have a good idea about what to say, essentially anything that is negative about expensive, environmentally destructive, non-renewable facilities set up at the end of a long destructive supply chain etc etc.
A single sentence that makes sense will do!

Solar Panel Recycling
Through the course of regular construction and operation, solar panels can be damaged or can malfunction. We understand the concerns with sending solar panels to landfill. Though we ensure we procure panels that can be disposed of safely, we want to recover resources and materials where we can. To reduce waste to landfill, we commit to reuse, refurbish, or recycle solar panels from our assets. In the UK, we work with several organisations to first refurbish or reuse the panels, and then recycle where this is not possible. In the US, we are working with SEIA to identify and qualify recycling companies via their National PV Recycling Programme. We also signed a MoU with Lotus Energy in Australia to progress our recycling activities.
CONCLUSION AND OBJECTIONS
Thus no feasible or achievable solar panel recycling plan has been proposed or guaranteed at this stage for the project. Should a project proceed without one?
Perhaps a full known-cost recovery plus hefty contingency environmental bond to cover solar panel recycling could be deposited in trust by the project’s proponents – before construction begins, as per many mining projects.
This is environmental vandalism on a large scale. Not only will valuable farm land be taken but, being Chinese made, a national security risk may evolve. Stop this madness.
Done, Rafe. Objected on environmental concerns. Its a lovely area and the amenity would be ruined by a solar farm. It would be much better placed in Warringah or Wentworth electorates. I didn’t say that in the submission, though! Much as I would like to.

1. If the solar panels ever catch fire for any reason, it will end up being a carcinogenic nightmare to anyone that is nearby due to the toxic materials used in the construction of the solar panels.
2. Due to the toxic nature of the materials used in the solar panels, I am also concerned that a lot of toxic residue will leak into the ground and find its way into the water table, and worse, into the Goulburn River.
3. Due to the nature of solar panels, they work intermittently, weather dependant and therefore very unreliable. A complete waste of Public Subsidy Money.
4. I am also concerned about the disposal of the solar panels they reach their end of life. It concerns me that they will end up in land fill breaking down and leaching toxic material into the surrounding area.
5. The solar panels being adjacent to the Goulburn River National Park, an environmentally sensitive area, will end up being visual pollution in a beautiful part of the country.
Not sure if it is the right way to set it out and write it though.

We are told that a single sentence will do, the thing is to get to a minimum of 50 objections which trigger another stage of appraisal of the project so it does not get a green flag at the first stage of the process.
The project can still get up but these things have to be fought every step of the way.

Wish I had of seen that as I would have added it to the submission.
The beautiful sea views from the roads around Hulhumale are slowly being destroyed by installation of solar panels.
