Flying Blind

Just read this pro-vaccine article about booster shots on the BBC’s website. Danny Altmann, professor of immunology at University College London, is extensively quoted.

Quandaries abound. Are booster shots necessary, how well do they work, when should they be given, to whom, should the booster vaccine be different from the original, does the order matter and so on into evidence-less conjecture. A number of quotes struck me. But here are two to conjure with:

“One ghastly thing about this pandemic is that people get cross with us [scientists] because we change our minds, because it’s such a moving target.” [And] “Again, it’s like so many other things – you know that expression, we’re trying to build the aeroplane while we fly it, and doing it all as fast as we possibly can.”

We’re being cajoled, coerced and blackmailed into being vaccinated and soon enough revaccinated and undoubtedly next year re-revaccinated. All the while, scientists are changing their minds and trying to build an aeroplane while flying it. And, feel free to be horrified, they’re vaxxing children and pregnant women. It has not yet been nine months since the first vaccination in Isreal. And, pardon me for asking, because questioning has become verbotten, were children or pregnant women ever included in any trials?

Pardon me for my “hesitancy”.

I prefer to entrust my travelling body to an aeroplane that has wings attached, at a bare minimum. Also with some pilots who know what they’re doing. To stretch the analogy further, if it is a brand new design, I would like it to have had a few flying hours up under a variety of conditions. Furthermore, I am not a test pilot.

That being the case, would I have an equivalent concoction injected into my arm? If I was to, at least I’d blow up at ground level, so there is that.

It has not yet been nine months since the first vaccination in Israel.

And they’re already considering a second booster, ie four separate vaccinations. Crazy.

Middle East Newsletter: Israel Considers Fourth Coronavirus Shot (Bloomberg, 12 Sep)

While most countries are still trying to finish inoculating their populations for the first time, Israel is already preparing for a second round of booster doses. The country is making efforts to secure sufficient supply in case a fourth round of Covid-19 shots is needed, according to a top health official.

“We don’t know when it will happen; I hope very much that it won’t be within six months, like this time, and that the third dose will last for longer,” Health Ministry Director General Nachman Ash said in an interview with Radio 103FM.

Yet ivermectin and HCQ are unable to be mentioned without retribution landing upon you from a great height. That’s also crazy.

If one finds a vaccinated person suddenly and mysteriously deceased and eats their liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti, does that count as being vaccinated?

*******
I don’t know anyone who’s “cross with” scientists for changing their minds. I know a lot of people who, seeing how the scientists change their minds, would like to tear the livers out of the living bodies of politicians and bureaucrats who have been engaged in sociopathic thuggery against ordinary citizens cuz da science!!!!

You’d better have a chat with the politicians, mate; they seem to think the science is immutable.

Re aeronautical comments relative to the Peking Pox

If you have read Len Dighton’s “Bomber” you will recall towards the end there is a scene where a pilot is trying a copybook spin re3covery in a Lancaster with half a wing shot off.

Seems to me that the covid experts don’t know and the whole thing is about the fourth turn of the spin and the nose angle is getting very steep

Remember that “15 days to flatten the curve” some 500 odd days ago?

Someone should tell him we are not cross with scientists changing their mind. We are absolutely livid with our dumb politicians who make decisions on yesterday’s ‘settled science’.

  1. In my brief time as a scholar of economics I did understand the concept of wealth creation. Seems to be…

  2. RBA looks to be joining Treasury, BOM and CSIRO as the march through the institutions continues. You suspect she is…

  3. It is a publicly funded uni. While the churches remain hooked on public funding for their educational institutions they will…

  4. “Growth in employment in the non-market sector is actually good,” Guv Bollocks drooled on Thursday. Safe hands.
