Hell, I didn’t even moderate you, I just moved the comment to the open thread as I made a judgement call that it was off topic.
The subsequent dummy spit meant I was free any of your stupid shit,
Good.

Satan lies again. Seriously, he’s like I’d imagine Satan would be on a blog. Totally vile and totally dishonest.

Another beautiful banner. And a sad reminder of the seriousness of sin pictured underneath it.

There is just so much to be grateful for – it’s another beautiful day here, and I have my family all around me, including one small girl who did a little recce and discovered my cache of Lindt bunnies. She is now as fixated on that basket as any flyby nutcase – except she’s six and is therefore excused.

Tomorrow is the big day. Why not now? Because tomorrow is Easter Day and that’s the sweetest, yummiest thing of all.

Dot,

I’m not really sure of the point of your questions. Ukrainian nationalism is not a new phenomenon. A lid was kept on it during the Soviet era but it has always existed. The historical relationship between these two peoples is fraught with tension – at times, they were allies, at others, bitter enemies. None of it is forgiven or forgotten by either side.

You seem to think that as I am not pro-Uke that I am necessarily pro-Russian. I’m not. Despite my own familial ties with Russia, I have said repeatedly that I have no dog in this fight.

I am pro-peace, for both the Ukrainian and the Russian speaking citizens of Ukraine. I am on the side of the ordinary people who have died and are dying through no fault of their own but because of decisions made by people in far-off cities who will never bear the pain, loss or destruction their decisions have wrought and who are pursuing agendas completely divorced from what is right or best for the people of that country.

Exclusive: Anthony Albanese is “infamous” for not properly reading his policy briefings, surrounds himself with too many inexperienced advisers and has been exposed as a political “chameleon” on the campaign trail, Labor insiders and some of his MPs claim.

Exclusive? It’s barely even News.

They know a bit about operating in corrupt states without the Rule of Law.

They certainly do.
Which is why they struggle trying to operate in the UK sector of the North Sea – which is jammed rigid with rules and regulations – and coated in layer upon layer of special arrangements, lost in the mists of time.

for example there was a widely held view that it was an unnecessary campaign*

My great uncle was a veteran of those campaigns, after serving with 2/32nd Battalion in North Africa. He remained of the opinion for the rest of his life that those campaigns were totally unnecessary – the Japanese left behind as MacArthur moved North were nothing more then “self supporting prisoners of war.”

When the US confiscates your stuff merely for being Russian, and now says they will never return those goods (it is theft) don’t expect any country to invest in the West.
The capital will now cease flowing as a two-tiered world economy is rapidly being put in place.
The US just shot themselves in the foot again.
These people are so stupid.

There’s not enough looking into the tax returns of Australia s pollies.

For results like these??

Kamala Harris again earns over twice as much as Joe Biden, tax returns show
The vice-president and her husband reported a gross income of $1.7m while the Bidens made $611,000

Nearly $772,000 of the income that Harris and Emhoff reported stemmed from the sale of a condominium in San Francisco and pay she earned as a writer, the tax documents show.

Who knew that the collected thoughts of Kameltits was worth so much?

The Bidens’ largest charitable gift – $5,000 – went to the Beau Biden Foundation, a public charity which is named after the president’s late son and is dedicated to protecting children from abuse.

So it hires the minders to prevent Bad hands Biden from molesting kids in public?

Joe Biden built his net worth throughout his political career. In 2017, Biden and Jill earned $11.1 million in fees and royalties from speaking engagements and book sales. They amassed $4.6 million in 2018 and $1 million in 2019, followed by $630,000 in 2020.

With career earnings of over $17 million, Biden’s current net worth is a fraction of that. According to reports, the President paid $7 million in taxes, donated $1.3 million to charity, and $80,000 in mortgage interest, along with $170,000 in staffing fees.

There are currently people investigating Joe Biden for his term out of office. He and his son Hunter have alleged ties to deals involving an energy company in Ukraine and companies in China, which, according to allegations, could have netted them millions of dollars.

The Bidens also owns two houses in Delaware, a family home estimated to be more $1 million plus a beach house estimated to be worth at least $2.7 million.

Hmmmyess in 2017 Bidens book sales and speaking fees were so hot right now…

A deeply moving memoir about the year that would forever change both a family and a country.

In November 2014, thirteen members of the Biden family gathered on Nantucket for Thanksgiving, a tradition they had been celebrating for the past forty years; it was the one constant in what had become a hectic, scrutinized, and overscheduled life. The Thanksgiving holiday was a much-needed respite, a time to connect, a time to reflect on what the year had brought, and what the future might hold. But this year felt different from all those that had come before. Joe and Jill Biden’s eldest son, Beau, had been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor fifteen months earlier, and his survival was uncertain. “Promise me, Dad,” Beau had told his father. “Give me your word that no matter what happens, you’re going to be all right.” Joe Biden gave him his word.

Promise Me, Dad chronicles the year that followed, which would be the most momentous and challenging in Joe Biden’s extraordinary life and career. Vice President Biden traveled more than a hundred thousand miles that year, across the world, dealing with crises in Ukraine, Central America, and Iraq. When a call came from New York, or Capitol Hill, or Kyiv, or Baghdad—“Joe, I need your help”—he responded. For twelve months, while Beau fought for and then lost his life, the vice president balanced the twin imperatives of living up to his responsibilities to his country and his responsibilities to his family. And never far away was the insistent and urgent question of whether he should seek the presidency in 2016.

The year brought real triumph and accomplishment, and wrenching pain. But even in the worst times, Biden was able to lean on the strength of his long, deep bonds with his family, on his faith, and on his deepening friendship with the man in the Oval Office, Barack Obama.

Writing with poignancy and immediacy, Joe Biden allows readers to feel the urgency of each moment, to experience the days when he felt unable to move forward as well as the days when he felt like he could not afford to stop.

This is a book written not just by the vice president, but by a father, grandfather, friend, and husband. Promise Me, Dad is a story of how family and friendships sustain us and how hope, purpose, and action can guide us through the pain of personal loss into the light of a new future.

They seem to have missed the crack fiend rooting his dying brothers wife.

“…thrashing around in the long grass and warbling about revised positions on fringe issues.”

A perhaps inevitable consequence of decades of what might be described as “tempered libertarianism” – that is, only sufficient law and regulation such that descent into anarcho-tyrrany is at least slowed and delayed if not fully prevented. We got rich, pampered, fat and lazy, and invented “issues” like climate change and trans rights for kids that our politicians and media focus on as “important”. Quite simply, we ran out of really important issues and worried about trivia instead. Social media oligarchies accelerated this problem.
When real issues of survival now begin to appear, most don’t know what to do – politicians included. “It’s always darkest before the dawn” they say – but I’m not convinced it is beginning to get lighter just yet. We may need to suffer more and deeper darkness before we turn the corner.

I am realist about this, there is no way ukraine can win without substantial western involvement. And that is not just sending satellite data and some anti-tank weapons. The sooner Putin achieves his objectives the sooner this will end.

Surely a double espresso, cappuccino, maccifarta, with a decaffinated twist of goats milk with a side little Easter egg for $15 to rip off the perpetually boring is what you’d be searching for today.
You and Nick(Grey Ranga) could talk about the taste subtleness of various beans and has beens, and pompously declare your distain for instant coffee as if your royal tastebuds are too refined, and bring to coffee drinking what you do to politics.
Without a clue about conservatism or Libertarianism, or the desire to hold any convictions you’re just in it to belong to the club.

Twitter Moves to Block Musk’s Takeover Offer

Twitter adopted a poison-pill takeover defense to make it difficult for Elon Musk to increase ownership beyond 15%. The move comes a day after the tech entrepreneur made a $43 billion unsolicited bid for the social-media company.

Here’s the funniest thing I’ve seen for a while now.

Twitter appointed Goldman Sucks as their advisor presumably to help thwart the takeover offer. Here’s the hilarious thing. Goldman’s had a sell recommendation on the stock way below where Musk pitched the final bid.

(I tried to make a comment the other night but for some reason it wouldn’t work).
Did anyone notice Adam Bandt’s left eyelid the other day. He was at the National Press Club – I saw some of the footage on the news. His left eyelid is very odd looking – very swollen and overhanging his eye. Previously, I’ve notice Joel Fitzgibbon with the same weird looking eyelid as well as Stephen Conroy.

I did a search and found that there are a number of conditions, which are supposedly linked to the coof. But I’m wondering if it’s another side-effect of the vaxx.

They are going to wreck Musk.

The swamp has already struck back.

Using one of JCs favorite chaps in the world…

Shortly after Musk shared he had become the largest shareholder in Twitter, Vanguard group purchased more shares and surpassed him, now owning 10.3% of the company. Jack Dorsey, Twitter founder and former CEO, noted in a tweet on Friday that such surprise purchases are always a risk for the company.

“As a public company, Twitter has always been ‘for sale’,” he said. “That’s the real issue.”

Musk is already facing legal action for his Twitter purchases, with one investor suing the Tesla executive in a potential class action lawsuit for failing to disclose his buy-up of shares before the required deadline to do so.

The lawsuit comes as Musk faces a number of investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission for his investment activities, including insider trading allegations related to his own tweets.

Also how is this crook still not in prison..
Fink started his career in 1976 at First Boston, a New York-based investment bank,[13] where he was one of the first mortgage-backed security traders and eventually managed the firm’s bond department.

So one of the turds who helped build the GFC in the first place…

But they argue that it’s safer to risk death than be asymptomatic from a dodgy test.

The “coof” is the Vax.

pfizer has the same neurotoxins coded as the actual virus spike protein. Repeated accumulation of these toxins is the end game.

Further examination of the motif near PRRA reveals close structural
similarity to the SEB superantigen as well as sequence similarities to
neurotoxins and a viral SAg. The insertion PRRA together with the sequentially preceding seven amino acids and succeeding Arg (fully conserved among ?-coronaviruses) have been pointed out to form a motif,
Y674QTQTNSPRRAR685, homologous to that of neurotoxins from Ophiophagus (cobra) and Bungarus genera, as well as neurotoxin-like regions from three RABV strains (21) (Fig. 2C).
We further noticed that
the same segment bears close similarity to HIV-1 glycoprotein gp120
superantigenic motif F164-V164

UN refugee agency condemns Boris Johnson’s Rwanda asylum plan
Gillian Triggs, assistant high commissioner at UNHCR, says plan is ‘symbolic gesture’ that will prove unworkable

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/apr/15/un-refugee-agency-condemns-johnsons-rwanda-asylum-plan

In other words they hope to make it unworkable by lawfare.
Never mind it would actually achieve the stated outcome as quickly and decisively as the “stop the boats” did.

But government insiders said the expected torrent of legal battles could leave it costing substantially more, with some predicting it could take two years before anyone was flown to Rwanda.

Home Office sources said they were braced for judicial reviews and a wave of immigration tribunals over the lawfulness of attempts to offshore asylum seekers who arrive after travelling across the Channel on small boats.

There are two appeal stages for judicial reviews and three for those seeking to challenge their removal through an immigration tribunal, casting in more doubt Johnson’s stated aim of removing people to the central African country in the next six weeks.

What she said isn’t what she meant.
Alles ist klar!
Nicht wahr?

You don’t have to be a rootless, post-modern W. European liberal to have such views.

T.S. Eliot expressed them one hundred years ago in his vision of “hooded hordes swarming over endless plains, stumbling in cracked earth” towards western cities (The Wasteland).

In his prose he said Russia had a “violent”, ‘Asiatic” aspect that was a threat to a western Europe that was merely a “small and isolated cape on the western side of the Asiatic continent.”

But then I suppose some might describe Eliot as a rootless, post-modern American who tried to reinvent himself as a middle-class Englishman. But he was no liberal, at least!

the Japanese left behind as MacArthur moved North were nothing more then “self supporting prisoners of war.”

Zulu – They could easily have been self supporting colonists

It turned out OK but the Allies didn’t know that. If the Japanese XVII Army had refused to surrender I very much doubt that America public opinion would have allowed MacArthur to backtrack to boot them out. Which would leave “facts on the ground” in Bougainville and possibly New Britain and New Ireland also, since we could not evict them ourselves.

By squeezing the XVII into the Buin pocket, plus the AIB running a very effective guerilla campaign on the eastern side of the mountains the Japanese could not’ve had a viable colony. Same goes for the squeezing of the even larger New Britain garrison into the Gazelle Peninsula.

Bit of early morning sookage from the usuals today. No gigs or ‘enthusiastic Nazi bar staff’ from last night to excoriate, obviously.

I find it interesting that originally, people throwing the ‘Nazi’ term around like confetti were almost exclusively anti-Trumpers – hoping for the automatic revulsion evoked by it would stick to their target.

These were people of the hard Left. Pro-communism, antifa, BLM, all those people who rioted across the US and destroyed normal people’s businesses doing so, because those people’s thinking didn’t align with their own.

Now the ‘Nazi’ term is employed by people here, deployed like Minties from Santa standing on the back of a fire truck during a country town’s Lions Club Christmas party to a pack of adoring kids.

Nazi Nazi Nazi. Anyone who disagrees with them. Nazi.

It shows what these people are really after. No difference of opinion allowed, or you’re a Nazi. Things must be done my way, or you are all cowards*. There’s no plan. No process. Just flailing, androgynous calls to ‘fight’. Give up your jobs and homes and everything you’ve worked for, for decades, while those behind the megaphone are getting paid.

Underlying all this, of course, is the hope that call will rise from the seething masses: ‘Who will lead us?’ At this point, the man of the hour will reluctantly assume the golden mantle, and thus become the greatest figure in history since Caesar.

A true leader. Of The People.

Sounds like a fuckin’ dictatorship if you ask me.

In his prose he said Russia had a “violent”, ‘Asiatic” aspect that was a threat to a western Europe that was merely a “small and isolated cape on the western side of the Asiatic continent.”

Roger – Also the chasm between ethnic Slavs and Germanics was very clear in WW1. We’re even seeing it now with Serbia supporting Russia so strongly, as Russia supported their fellow Slavs after Sarajevo.

Breaking down a bit nowadays under the pressure of cosmopolitanism. The Ukrainians are nominally Slavs too, but there’d been signs they’d been getting more Europeanized since 2014 in response to the Donbas/Crimea fight.

The secret family history of the man who would be PM: Anthony Albanese grew up being told his Italian dad had died in a car crash – before a STUNNING discovery led to an emotional reunion

Aspiring PM Anthony Albanese’s family history was a secret until a teenager
His single mother Maryanne told him his dad had died in a car accident
Before her own death Maryanne revealed she’s been an unwed ’60s mother
She’d had a shipboard romance with an Italian steward who married in Naples
By incredible luck his dad’s address was in box in old Genoan warehouse
A nervous Anthony met Carlo Albanese who ‘opened his arms and we embraced

Vasily Grossman was a Russian writer accompanying the Red Army at Stalingrad in 1942, and from there through to the conquest of Berlin in 1945. Like an accountant keeping two sets of books, he put one package of work up for scrutiny and kept the other. The second set, he kept and had it smuggled out of the USSR prior to his death in 1964. British historian Antony Beevor used his second set extensively in Stalingrad and Berlin – The Downfall.

This is something the Ukes don’t like to talk about:

According to Beevor, Grossman was also shocked by the part Ukrainians played in the horrors of Berdichev, where the Germans massacred between 20,000 and 30,000 Jews, including his own mother whose death would forever haunt him.

In his account of the Nazi death camp Treblinka, in Poland, he hid the nationality of guards complicit in the systematic slaughter of an estimated 800,000 people.

“Even in his original version he had to rewrite and refer to SS ‘men’ rather than Ukrainian auxiliaries. The national identity of concentration camp guards had to be hidden.”

I’m not putting Russia on a pedestal here, but the Ukes are not noble underdogs.

Well Sherlock, since you are much cleverer than us fools, and since I’ve already said I don’t know how to go about the quoted head ripping, would you be so kind as to do what you have so far singularly failed to and provide “The Plan” on such head ripping?

I’m never going to incite violence, just observing that they’ve been violent toward you in the most disturbing way.
Yet you see the enemy elsewhere.

I may be using the term pajoratively, I may not be.
However, I did, and many others did warn about these jabs and we were scoffed at.
Did those scoffing help you conclude that you’d risk taking the jab, Kneel?

With the amount of people dying early from the jab now, and they are and you know it…..they’re always jabbed…….the insideous evil is that you know in the back of your mind what has happened.
Whether you only live until tomorrow, or for ten years, you’ll be forever living with knowing you have a ticking time bomb inside you.
You shouldn’t have to live with that thought and that is a very great crime against you in itself, without the physical dying.
It’s already sent many, like JC, quite loopy.
And it’s so hard to accept because you did it to yourselves, which makes it even worse.
Hence the denialism.

I haven’t submitted to anything.
I’ve stood my ground as have probably around eight million other Australians.

We are still doing our part.
You work out how to rip heads off all by yourselves.
Do we have to do everything for you while you guys flash your green ticks around?

Do something.
Anything.
Write a strongly worded letter of get a group together to see your local member.

An idea that you might want to consider is being there as a scrutineer on election day because it will be rigged…people not in denial readily accept that after what we have seen.

Whatever, just do something, I’m doing something, and have been for two years.
Let us know what you come up with, and like I said, I’ll do all I can to help.

I put myself up for election but I was the wrong sex and far too ugly.
I look like a stocky truckie……as you can see on this blog even, truckies drink instant coffee and listen to Waylon Jennings tapes and are social outcasts who wouldn’t know a Latte from Long Black.

Now I’ve got another gig to do this afternoon.
In the lovely coastal village of Toogum.

Have a lovely day.
I love you all.
Deeply.
God bless.

And sitting on a blog talking to people that are doing something……which I have been doing since this began……BY NOT COMPLYING…while people somehow think I’ve not sacrificed anything or had no fights………..and calling them lard arses and such…..doesn’t inspire friendly banter to say the least.

Who’s going to keep submitting?
Who’s going to take a booster?

Because surely you see that failure to enact it will result in more and greater hardship for yourself – including being sent off to the death camp for disobeying your lords and masters.
Or are you just waiting meekly to inherit the earth?

I’m an actual conservative.
I vote for the good of the country, not just for what I can get out of it.
In doing so, I benefit myself anyway.

I’m speaking about being adult.
You kneel, I think you get it.
But those in denial are literally letting themselves be killed.
If I’d been jabbed and knew it was going to take me out, I’d be at war with those that did it and pushing for research into trying to reverse the effects somehow, which that isn’t going to happen while people pretend victims of the jab are dying of mean words and meekly accepting their fate….
They WANT a deversion. They WANT the ukraine war to watch.
They NEED it.
Yet one side is Soros and the WEF, and one side is Putin and the pain we are going to have inflicted upon us will be from the enemy we have in our parliaments and swamps…….the people fighting Putin.

Does anyone seriously believe Biden is in charge of anything?

Some countries seem to do conscripts ok, but again on the defensive. I wonder just what % of a force has to be regulars vs conscripts to be effective?

NZ and Britain used conscript forces on the offensive in WW I, as they did in WW II, and the US did in WW II, with notable success.

Australia also used conscripts in offensive roles in New Guinea and Bougainville in WW II, also successfully.

And so, I surmise, Albo becomes the second consecutive Liars party leader to lose an unloseable election and the party elects the Slovenian Hag, who’s as leftwing as Albo, as parliamentary leader.

Being a rank and file leftard, the Slovenian Hag thinks Australians are too stupid to vote and need to be led by people who know better.

Like Albo. she will not face the blowtorch of public examination until she appoints herself the alternative prime minister in four years time when an election is called.

Will she, like Albo, try to rewrite history when she is asked about her marriage to a former jailbird and junkie who went on to become a NSW public service warlord?

Because she knows 90% of journalists will do what they can to get her elected, I’m tipping she, like Albo, will consider lying about her past the low-risk option that will blow up in her face.

Until the Liars embrace aspirational Australians – migrants, small business people, families in the outer suburbs far away from Sussex Street – they will struggle to field a team that will be taken seriously by the Australian electorate.

Convenient necessity plays a part as well.

The Finns were swallowed as a part of the Russian empire and then became a nation after the chaos of the revolution of 1917 with the help of Germans.

The Soviets came back and tried to foment a communist/nationalist war within Finland. The Finn leadership turned to the Nazis in Germany to help crunch the marxists and their Soviet allies.

Fascism became a thing in Finland before the Soviets invaded after the Molotov treaty. Once again the Finns asked Germany, this time Hitler, to help to fight Russia.

After the Germans invaded Russia the Finns then regained all their territory lost to the Soviets (hello Donbas) but stopped at the border, much to Hitler’s disgust. They did contribute a Finn division to the SS but they were only allowed to fight Russians not the allies.

A remarkable example of playing off two evils against each other to stay free. Not saints but not sinners either.

Russia versus Ukraine, in context:

Russia was the hardest bloke in the pub. Had been for decades. Big, imposing physique – solid, not fat, paws like dinner plates. His record of taking on blokes just as big, along with several hangers-on was legendary. Exclusively wore the faded wife-beater, displaying the spider-webbed elbow tatts in amongst the sleeves that marked him as having been through the mill and come out on top. In later years, he wore dirty hi-vis on Thursday nights.

Ukraine was smaller bloke with a long, violent past. Notorious for pulling on the Mexican boxing glove and using a blade where necessary, he had been around for a long while, also done his time and was not one to turn your back on. He gained a crew of followers, vowing to jump in when the shit hit Ukraine’s fan or when he was cranky enough to go looking for trouble.

Inevitably, and after failed attempts by both to impress the new topless barmaid, it was on. On like Donkey Kong.

Russia, for all his size had run out of tank but didn’t realise it. His reputation, built over time didn’t factor in the lack of cardio he had today. Big, long punches backed by the external yet failed promise of that intensity for as long as it took.

Ukraine, who had a decent chin absorbed the first couple. Egged on by promises of jump-in from the peanut gallery he threw a bit of leather himself and found Russia’s cardio weakness, but also found he wasn’t big enough to get the upper hand on his own and all his mates had fucked off – although they were still yelling support from the other side of the pool table.

After two minutes, they’d punched each other into the deck. The ‘show’ wasn’t nearly as good as everyone thought it was going to be, and when Russia and Ukraine were both heaving on the deck and everyone else turned back to their schooners some skinny bloke wearing a baseball cap walked over, pinched both their wallets and fucked off.

Zulu – They could easily have been self supporting colonists…

By squeezing the XVII into the Buin pocket, plus the AIB running a very effective guerilla campaign on the eastern side of the mountains the Japanese could not’ve had a viable colony. Same goes for the squeezing of the even larger New Britain garrison into the Gazelle Peninsula.

There was no chance of them colonising these islands when they were being harassed by the local natives. In Borneo the Japanese moved inland from the coastal area and prepared defensive positions against an Allied assault which never came. The Americans simply offered the Dayaks a bag of rice for every Japanese ear they brought to their bases, and the rivers were soon full of Dayak canoes overloaded with bags of rice.

You can’t colonise a place if you can’t go out of a small defensive position for fear of an arrow or a poison dart from the jungle.

Old Bloke – Wasn’t much of that in Bougainville when the Americans were garrisoning the west coast enclave. There was even an informal cease fire of sorts. The Japanese controlled the whole island except for a small bit in the west. Then the Australians took over the garrison and that’s when the AIB got going in the eastern areas.

It was also the AIB in Borneo. Quite a bunch the Dayaks. And as well as ears they tended to bring heads to the Aussie lines at Brunei. But I was talking about Bougainville and Rabaul since Borneo wasn’t in our mandate area. The Japanese forces in those two areas were much larger than in Borneo, and they were regulars and Navy marines not the ad hoc battalions that were in Borneo (at least on the west coast – the Tarakan defenders were tougher.)

An Australian “use-of-force” expert says he is shocked that the Northern Territory Police paid an American criminologist up to $100,000 to produce a 12-page report supporting its murder charge against Constable Zachary Rolfe when he could have conducted an independent review of the shooting for “a few grand”.

Bond University associate professor Terry Goldsworthy, who spent almost 30 years as a Queensland police officer before becoming an academic, said all of the reports he had produced for court were up to 60 pages long but cost less than $5000.

“I am perplexed as to how a 12-page report costs $100,000,” the former detective inspector said.

“I would be interested to see a breakdown of costs on the expert’s invoice. His examination would or should have been limited to the explicit use of force that led to the death, as that was the substantial base for the murder charge, so that would limit the material he would have had to examine.”

This comes after The Australian revealed NT Police awarded a $99,750 contract to professor Geoffrey Alpert of the University of South Carolina after apparently failing to find a local subject-matter expert to review Constable Rolfe’s use of force in fatally shooting Kumanjayi Walker.

Constable Rolfe was last month found not guilty of murdering Walker at the remote outback community of Yuendumu during an arrest on November 9, 2019.

Space is racist.

NASA releases equity action plan to make space more accessible to all (15 Apr)

In support of the Biden-Harris Administration’s efforts to advance racial equity in the federal government, NASA has released its first-ever Equity Action Plan. The plan establishes key focus areas that will allow the agency to track progress toward improved diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility both internally and externally to NASA.

“At NASA, all of our missions depend on our steadfast commitment to equal opportunity,” said NASA Administrator Bill Nelson. “The Equity Action plan deepens our commitment to further identify and remove the barriers that limit opportunity in underserved and underrepresented communities. This framework anchors fairness as a core component in every NASA mission to make the work we do in space and beyond more accessible to all.”

This action plan is the latest step in the agency’s Mission Equity initiative announced last year in response to White House Executive Order 13985, “Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government.”

At least Obama only forced NASA reach out to muslims, Biden now wants them to be racially based, qwerty conscious, and help “underserved communities”, whatever that means. Maybe he wants to launch all those Venice Beach homeless people into orbit or something.

Ukrainian losses

Dover – The headline number looks plausible to me but the KIA/WIA 3:2 ratio is not. Russians are going at 2:3 based on the inadvertent report that appeared on RUS tv a couple weeks ago. Even 2:3 is ‘way higher KIA than usual – pundits think that’s explained by lack of heli medivac and poor front line medic support, so the ‘golden hour’ runs out. Typical for Western armies is 1:5 or 1:7, so 3:2 is very unlikely particularly as the Ukrainians use mainly dispersed light infantry and are in their own country.

I might add that the number of tanks listed as destroyed is about double the number Ukraine had to start with. But it’s plausible if they’ve been using captured ones. They have sufficient trained tankers from the national service strategy they have had going for the last 8 years.

So the total casualties aren’t huge in comparison to the pool of available replacements.

When the Russians invaded Finland, the Finns first went to the British and French for help. The French offered assistance provided the British also assisted, but the British declined so no help came from the West. Britain then had its poorly equipped Expeditionary Force in France and couldn’t offer any assistance elsewhere, particularly at the far end of the Baltic Sea.

The Finns then accepted assistance from the Germans but they never subscribed to the Fascist ideals of Nazi Germany. For example, the Germans were shocked that they were fighting alongside some Finnish Jewish soldiers who had their regimental Rabbi chaplains, that was something completely foreign to German thinking at that time. The Finns see their involvement, which I think was limited to the siege of Leningrad, as the Continuation War, a follow on from the earlier Russian-Finnish war.

Finland and Switzerland are populated in large part by the Israelite Tribe of Issachar. His blessings from his father was that he’d be a strong ass who would lie down in good lands between two burdens. The Finns and the Swiss are that, they are at the eastern extremity of the Israelite populations in western Europe and Scandinavia, and they prefer their independent ways rather than adopt the ways of their kinsmen to the west or their neighbours to the east, hence their reluctance to join the EU / NATO, etc.

Traditions of Israelite Descent in Finland – Yair Davidiy.

This report ckaims they had over 2500 tanks just before the war.

Dover – Ok, yes, that’s correct. My mistake, I’d left a digit off in my brain. I recalled it to be 256, but it was 2596 in the number I’d seen at the time. Sorry.

Why would you think that report was inadvertent or correct?

The story was published but was taken down immediately:

Yaroslav Trofimov, Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent of The Wall Street Journal, posted the find on Twitter on Monday.

He said: “Komsomolskaya Pravda, the pro-Kremlin tabloid, says that according to Russian ministry of defence numbers, 9,861 Russian soldiers died in Ukraine and 16,153 were injured.

“The last official Russian KIA figure, on March 2, was 498. Fascinating that someone posted the leaked number.

That was on 22 Mar. Again a correction – I said Rus TV but it was a Russian newspaper that had the story on their website briefly. The general response from the pundits was that the number seemed accurate since it was a lot less that the Ukrainians had claimed but of course much higher than the Russians had officially said. Neither side is saying anything believable about losses, so all we have is leaks like Rybar and this Russian newspaper one.

Speaking of such the Moscow Times has just been blocked in Russia:
