When you’re eating in a restaurant in China and suddenly the owner rushes in, turns the lights off, tells you to shut up and act like no one is in… What’s going on? Ah, the anti-epidemic officials are coming. -
How are the Hawks going m0nster?
We’re rebuilding. We’ve got a really good full forward and centre half back, an elite forward pocket, and our back flankers are all good – hopefully one of our full back prospects comes through. As for our midfield, there’s some nice players but they are way too inconsistent. Not sure being young can explain that either, there are plenty of old blokes in there.
We’re trying to play this ultra-attacking style but we get sat on by more experienced teams who pick us apart easily on the counter. Will be interesting to see if it works better when this group grows up together.

The SCOTUS decision on kiddie hoovering comes out at midnight our time I think.
I have zero to go by, but just taking a quick punt in the complete dark. I reckon they won’t change Roe substantially and just go around the edges if at all. It could also turn out to be a 5/5 split which means federal hoovering is allowed.
Why?
I reckon the NY gun thing was the Right’s pacifier in order to avoid turning Roe around.

Anyway, “Sliante” to all you mob.
Mme Zulu had completed all but three, of over thirty sessions of the dreaded radiology treatment, when she was told she had just tested positive for the dreaded Covid, and banged into isolation at the hospital.
I having asked nicely, she’ll be released tomorrow….
Mate, if it wasn’t PiC to say it, I’d be asking which Chinaman you ran over?
Hope you and your missus are soon both happily and healthily back together soon.

I detest “Advance Australia Fair”.
The words to this may be mawkish, but it can still make the hairs on my neck stand up.

I detest “Advance Australia Fair”.The tune is ok, but we should sing it to the lyrics of “I love a sunburnt country”.
Try it.I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of drought and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her terror –
The wide brown land for me!(With whatever replaces the “In joyous strains the let us sing”
Perhaps
“In joyous strains then let us sing
The wide brown land for me”)Perhaps for the idealism needed for a national anthem replace “ragged” with “rugged” and “terror” with “splendour” (though anyone who has sensed the eerieness of the bush will relate to “terror”).

US Supreme Court over turns Roe v Wade and leaves the issue up to the individual US States.
The Court held that –
“The Constitution does not confer a right to abortion; Roe and Casey are overruled; and the authority to regulate abortion is returned to the people and their elected representatives.”

This is in relation to a Greens ‘Meet your Senators – Mob only On Line Q & A’ held on Tuesday the 21st of June, 2022. Zoom link required.’ The two Senators being, Senator Dorinda Cox and Senator Lidia Thorpe.
Lachie of SA on Michael Smith News writes –
“How’s this for blatant discrimination and segregation?
Imagine it was reversed and a politician ran an “ Anglo only online” could you just imagine the outcry?
This woman along with other Greens must go. Not becoming of the expected level of behaviour of an Australian politician.
Greens are even more Disgraceful on every level since the election and people that vote for them should be utterly ashamed of themselves.
The 10% or so Australians who vote for the Greens certainly prove themselves to fail a basic IQ test at every election.” -
Another round of taxpayer funded ‘free stuff’
Parts of Labor’s free fridges scheme has been suspended after rorting of the system and dumped appliances outside Melbourne businesses. Herald Sun paywalled. -
Why was anyone given a book deal?
Higgins has $250,000 of incentive, right there.
