Why are j’ismists trying to beat up the long overdue jobsacking of the ALPBC’s Pwobes as something anyone with a functioning brain would give a rodent’s backside about?

Oh that’s right, because they are foreseeing their (hopefully immediate) futures – and they are scared.

Judge Paul Conlon is a mensch – I knew him many years ago before he was appointed to the bench, a serious lawyer and taking law very seriously.

Public prosecutors pushing ‘doomed to fail’ rape cases, say District Court judges

So glad to see some real lawyers calling out the cowardly prosecutors. What a disgrace the entire debacle of the #MeToo movement having been hijacked and politicised by the cauldron-stirrers and spineless knobs like ScumMo (a degree in Geography) and The Slusher (a degree in Economics) – who’ve trashed the foundations of our legal system by jeopardising the presumption of innocence and the rule of law in cowards’ itself – to say nothing of the popinjay-hearted Mark Dreyfus.

We’re certainly in the very worst of hands.

Tintarella, the jury should decide two things.

Whether the accused is definitely guilty and whether the accuser is definitely lying.

If it’s the latter, the accuser gets whatever prison sentence the accused would have got if found guilty and the prosecutor is suspended for a year.

There was a shake in Tokyo last night. We’d just tumbled into bed and dreamland and off it went. A bit different on the 10th floor to being at ground level!

We are in a budget “airport” hotel for our one-day-in-transit. Even so, it’s beautiful and the staff are first rate. Breakfast right now in a corner overlooking the garden…you wouldn’t believe the urban density outside it – from where I sit you could be in the English countryside. As we walked through the foyer to the breakfast room, a little “Zen” courtyard with stone, moss and raked pebbles letting us know that this is, indeed, Japan.

Unfortunately the hotel shop won’t be open before we go – it is full of the handcrafts so beloved of the Japanese. Little chirimen silk mobiles and fobs, the gorgeous dolls and other bright beautiful items. Sigh.

And did I tell you I’m drinking coffee from a “Hello Kitty” mug? The Beloved picked up the wrong kind at the beverage counter. 😀

I see that the utterly putrid and ugly Katy Gallagher says she believes the lying Saint Brittaneeeeeeeee of No Knickers. This same vicious, venal female remains in parliament despite deliberately and unapologetically misleading parliament, despite the fact that she was part of an unholy trinity of gangster bitches who taunted and bullied another Labor female senator, a woman who’s now dead, and taunted and bullied another Liberal senator. Gallagher has no shame, no remorse, nothing. And yet our useless opposition hasn’t been able to lay a glove on her and instead the heat is now on a stupid stupid Liberal male who pinched a bum. So much for more honesty, transparency and accountability in our federal parliament. And as for those Teals who went to Canberra parroting garbage about honesty, transparency and accountability, and yet these same “Teals” are now all running cover for the socialist slag named Gallagher. Well, the wealthy scum in electorates like Wentworth who voted for Svengali Simon’s little whores rightly deserve a Lenin or Stalin or Mao to sweep through those electorates. And I live in Wentworth so…I know exactly how diabolically hypocritical the elitist scum who are my neighbours are.

I blame a lot of people, but most of all I blame the mainstream media. That’s why I feel zero sympathy for the likes of Probyn losing his cushy ABC job. In fact I laughed when I heard. Probyn’s vicious, nasty, and partisan reporting over the years has contributed to the malaise. Good riddance.

Cassie of Sydney

“Is Mike “I’ll pour the gin” Carlton still a thing?”

Oh yes, he spends his time sending out tweets stating that female Coalition MPs “should be strangled”. But that’s okay, there’s never any accountability or push back for the likes of him, because he’s a progressive. Just like the the grub who comments here, it’s okay to incite and applaud violence against conservative women or women whose opinions grubs like Carlton and the pervert apologist don’t like.

Mr Carlton was also a regular attendee at Mr and Mrs Amphibian’s oh so progressive January bash, in fact he and Mr Amphibian are great mates. However, given that Mr and Mrs Amphibian have zero credibility left, I do wonder if they’ll continue with the January bashes. We will see.

Researchers follow AI path to safer senolytic compounds

Senolytic compounds are those which have the ability to kill senescent cells. Those are cells that increase with age and are in a last ditch survival mode; possibly to prevent them dividing and becoming cancerous because they are cell cycle locked. Senescent cells release various messenger molecules that can promote inflammation. In various animal studies removal of senescent cells improves health markers. The next big craze for health nuts is the elimination of senescent cells. They are using fiseten, a compound found in strawberries, but most of the studies I read indicated it is fiseten AND a prescription drug that does the trick.

Electric planes aren’t gunna happen with current tech, and that tech is the same reason that electric trucks larger than small suburban delivery trucks aren’t gunna happen either. Unless some completely new battery that is much lighter and much more energy dense than current battery tech comes along, there will be no electric planes or large trucks. Electric cars are so heavy that they are going to cause lots of problems for roads and carparks and other things.

Nature takes care of the old growth forests by burning them down and starting again. An environmental catastrophe all around with the resulting air pollution and loss of flora and fauna. Logging the forest is clearly the better option and everybody and everything wins. In the final analysis greenies are actually anti-environmentalists.

“So, let me get this right. You’re saying humanity is stuck with fossil fuels forever, until the end of time. There will no advance in fuels, even up to the point when the earth is engulfed by the self-destructing sun.”
I never said that, you state a position then pretend that’s what I said, very poor form for you but I guess that’s what I can expect from you. My point is that unless some entirely new form of technology unknown to chemistry and physics is developed, then current battery tech will not be viable in trucks or planes, it’s marginal in cars. I have no idea what the future holds, it would be great if some form of battery with extremely high energy density and low mass is developed, it would change the world.

Anyway, it was some time ago that I put you in the same box as monty, Ed Case and a couple of others. Your endless abuse and drivelling castigation of those who don’t slavishly follow your ideas makes me think of you as an unpleasant person. Batteries are a joke, excess nuclear power could be used to generate already-used liquid fuels and we’re good to go without batteries at all.

Hybrids have their place in terms of range extending. “Glass” batteries won’t be used en masse for a long time.

Batteries still have the following problems.

1. Very costly to replace.
2. Very poor ecological record with regards to materials used and mining.
3. Long recharge times 45 min v 3 min to fill up.
4. Less range than a diesel sister model.
5. Fire risk.

Vanadium sulfides, sulfates, phosphides and phosphates are where I have seen the latest research looking at. Who knows what they could do with these, glass batteries and modularisation – say you have 1200 batteries and you replace maybe 30 duds at each service. That with nuclear power generation and innovation in mass storage and point of sale charging tech – this is contingent on at least five things happening though!

Speaking to The Weekend Australian, Judge Conlon said the pursuit of cases without the prospect of conviction was ultimately damaging for genuine victims, who may be put through the trauma of an ill-fated trial.

“In the Lehrmann/Higgins case, that was doomed to failure as soon as it was thought appropriate to ventilate the issues in the public domain and attempt to influence public opinion,” he said.

“The role played by some sections of the media in that process was breathtaking in its stupidity. As was the incredible naivety of the two leaders of our country (Mr Morrison and Mr Albanese) in issuing apologies on the floor of parliament before one word was spoken in evidence. The fundamental and important principle of an accused person’s presumption of innocence was simply ignored and cast aside.

If I get the learned Judge correctly, the view from the bench is that Scummo and Albo are breathtakingly stupid in their naïveté.

Which seems a fair judgment.

I think they’re correctly labelled “DPP degenerate gambler” cases. They don’t care if someone is guilty or not, but if they can score more points on the tally board.

The number of payouts for sexual assault without any criminal trials lately is alarming. Mind you, some of them don’t have civil suits either – hand patting payments you might call them.

Probyn should have known he was vulnerable. I suppose the reason he didn’t was, paradoxically, because he was such a perfect fit for the ABC: a mediocre mind with pretensions of brilliance.

Having dismissed logic as an approach to truth the ABC drones use various impoverished methods under the rubric ‘nuance’ – you can see them glibly bat away an irrefutable objection to their opinions by citing this ‘nuance’, which their interlocutor is simply too stupid to understand.

Two related methods by which they are mesmerised and deluded are word association and word patterns.

For example, the term ‘black hole’ is racist because the word black, as applied to people, can be racist.

It’s as clear as black and black.

Or how the Nastis were ‘Right’ fighting the Soviet ‘Left’. In the Cold War America was opposed to the USSR so that made them ‘Right’ (even though they had also fought the Nastis). Therefore, like the Nastis, the USA in the Cold War was fascist.

Probyn’s name resembles the word ‘probity’, a ‘truth’ word, therefore a patriarchy word. He was poison.

On the other hand a name like ‘Milligan’ goes with the word ‘mill’ as in ‘rumour mill’. It also resembles the word ‘mulligan’ so that whenever you muck up you get another chance. Everyone at the ABC reveres that protection.

The one we call Red Kezza, venerable elder in the ABC collective, is also “O’Brien” – the hero of the book 1984.

Leigh Sales? ‘Leigh’ sounds like the French ‘Le’, and France is the source of all culture to be copied, from the sagacious Derrida to the delightfully quirky deux chaveaux, from the Paris Cafes to the Paris Commune, from French Wine to Faux Grass.

It’s all in the nuance.

A hospital and doctors in California are facing a new lawsuit for removing the breasts of a 13-year-old girl after she claimed she was a boy.

The defendants carried out “ideological and profit-driven medical abuse” when they prescribed her puberty blockers and hormones and, later, performed a double mastectomy, Charles LiMandri, one of the lawyers representing the plaintiff, Layla Jane, said in a statement.

Jane, now 18, was influenced by people online when she was just 11 and told her parents that she was a boy, prompting them to ask for guidance from doctors.

Jim Jones in the house!

Anthony Albanese has labelled the Liberal Party a “doomsday cult”, ridiculing their opposition to the federal government’s attempts to deal with the cost of living crisis.

In an address to the Victorian Labor Conference on Saturday, the Prime Minister calls out the Opposition for their claim his government’s reforms are “somehow signs of the apocalypse”.

“If the Victorian Liberals have become a conspiracy in search of a theory, the federal Opposition are basically a doomsday cult,” he said.

“For them, every day is the end of days. These are the people who said energy bill relief for families and businesses was ‘Venezuelan communism’.” (anyone see any sign of this?)

Mr Albanese reflected on federal Labor’s achievements from their first year in power in 12 years, saying the government was “supporting people through adversity”.

He noted the $3.5bn investment to triple the bulk billing incentive to allow children under 16 and concession card holders to benefit from free GP visits.

The Labor leader also patted the party on the back over the $500 in bill relief given to some households and boosted childcare subsidies found in the budget.

Also on the agenda was the announcement of the $2bn Social Housing Accelerator Fund, (wtf?) which will be delivered to state and territory governments within two weeks.

“This is new money – right now – for new social housing,” Mr Albanese said.

Australia’s public housing stock has gone backwards in recent decades, with 299,500 dwellings recorded in 2021 compared to 341,400 in 2006, according to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare.

“Demand for social housing has increased almost three times as fast the growth in population. We are determined to work with state and territory governments to reverse this decline, as part of our commitment to expand housing supply,” Mr Albanese said.

“When I met with Premiers and Chief Ministers about this yesterday, they all committed to ensuring that investment in housing will work alongside better planning laws, reforming zoning and freeing-up more land for new builds.”

It’s Mr Albanese’s first address to the Victorian Labor Conference as Prime Minister.

Labor has been basking in success in Victoria recently. At the May 21 election – with the help of some high-profile teal candidates – the Liberals lost some major scalps, not least former treasurer and would-be leader Josh Frydenberg. (and we are nearing the ugly fruit of that)

It then lost the Aston by-election in April, when Labor became the first government in a century to win a seat from the opposition in a by-election.

And at the state-level, Labor demoralised the Liberal opposition with another victory for Dan Andrews and Labor in November.

GROSS! Eva Longoria had to move Biden’s hands to keep him from groping her at the White House tonight.

I hope these people are happy with the creep they support.

E Jean Carroll did win a civil suit where Trump raped her in a changeroom in a busy retail store 30 years ago and there were no other witnesses. She’s an unhinged liar.

Some harsh words.

Women tend to vote left. They are willing to get raped or groped for welfare. They have initiated literal witch hunts (think Salem) to get land, notoriety or because they were bored. Women have married their conquerers willingly for thousands of years. Christine Blazey Ford, Brittany Higgins, Julie Swetnick, Anita Hull, E Jean Carroll, and Thorpe are all proven liars but their message had a narrative that mattered more than them being proven bullshitters.

Keep in mind Ford and Swetnick made false accusations of being gang raped, even though Swetnick described herself as (technically) being a “child molester”.

Real equality would involve losing a sense of entitlement and consistently living up to the standards of accountability they demand of men. Men cannot even sit next to kiddos on planes but most sexual abuse is in public schools, perpetrated by women.

Women, do better. Stop letting leftist weirdos grope you in exchange for the welfare state and likewise stop falsely accusing conservatives for gubmint gibs.

I could say something about the perils of conflating leering with forcible rape, but that is kind of obvious to anyone with an IQ above room temperature.

The next big craze for health nuts is the elimination of senescent cells. They are using fiseten, a compound found in strawberries, but most of the studies I read indicated it is fiseten AND a prescription drug that does the trick.

Another example of ‘big pharma’ pushing a drug for which dietary modification already has the answer? – google ‘fasting and autophagy’ for the natural remedy.

It is mostly driven by health nuts. The drugs have long been used in cancer treatment. The use of senolytic drugs is more than about being healthy, there are therapeutic possibilities for a wide range of conditions.

Ya wanna boost autophagy? Try spermadine. An ATG agonist? Exercise induces autophagy. There are a number of plant compounds that can induce autophagy and kill senescent cells. Is there are limit to how much we should boost autophagy? Should we limit protein intake prior to fasting because amino acid concentrations within a cell limit autophagy? Autophagy is implicated in some cardiac conditions. Some cancer cells survive through elevated autophagy.

The best diet! The best supplement! The problematic science. The science will improve, the drugs will be better. In the future the benefits of lifestyle modifications will be dwarfed by therapeutic improvements. Big Pharma is not without problems but modern medicine is lost without it.

Roll on these detransitioning legal cases in the US against woke ideologues in medicine and psychology who assault under-age children. I hope they make this industry start to curl up and die in fear of mass payouts. It was this that finally made the woke NHS close down the Tavistock Institute.

Once the payouts start then plenty of the current crop of unemployed young adults mutilated as kids by this process will start to see the huge dollar signs and head for detransitioning and the law, even if they are firmly still in the woke ideology. I can always do a gender flip back, after the payout, they will think. Fortunately, more than a few thinking this will start to realise how much they have been duped once they realise that they are not, in reality, anything like the other sex, and that it has all been playacting with medical help.

At the risk of setting a record for negative ticks (how low can you go?):
The statement above is a poor excuse for conservative non-performance.

It’s akin to saying ‘I didn’t want to win, anyway.’

If it is a disorder, it is one of morality and values, but these are secondary or even tertiary concerns to our opponents who value winning first.

Without first ‘winning’ (however you define it – and I believe conservatives have downgraded their definition of the same), what point is there quibbling about HOW you achieved something you DIDN’T actually achieve?

Note that I neither state nor believe that a sense of morals and traditional values is unimportant, or should be discarded; but rather, we need to focus more on acquiring the new car before we decide what seat covers to purchase.

Note that I neither state nor believe that a sense of morals and traditional values is unimportant, or should be discarded

Muddy – The problem is that the Left has totally discarded morality, and the Right cannot do that. So we fight with our arms tied behind our backs.

Pretty good essay this week via Sarah Hoyt at Instapundit:

“Cricket Morality” (12 Jun)

I am reminded of a passage in Arthur Koestler’s 1940 book Darkness at Noon.

“It is said that No. 1 (Stalin) has Machiavelli’s Prince lying permanently by his bedside. So he should: since then, nothing really important has been said about the rules of political ethics. We were the first to replace the nineteenth century’s liberal ethics of fair play by the revolutionary ethics of the twentieth century. In that also we were right: a revolution conducted according to the rules of cricket is an absurdity. Politics can be relatively fair in the breathing spaces of history; at its critical turning points there is no other rule possible than the old one that the end justifies the means.”

And this is indeed the logic of so many of our present-day “progressives.” They have convinced themselves that we are not in one of those “breathing spaces of history” in which fairness is to be expected–rather, everything must be about ultimate things, must be “existential”, to use one of their favorite terms.

RTWT. The essayist doesn’t say why the Left regards getting their way as “existential”. But I think it is the merging of Marxism with the climate religion, such that they believe they have to do whatever it takes in order to save the human race. Of course that’s a load of rubbish, but if someone believes it they believe it, QED, and they’re certainly acting like they do.

In WA much of the SW can reach an equilibrium of growth and decay, however until such states are reached, carry an understory fuel load that makes virtually any other use of the land uneconomic and containing any form of fire impossible within the forest area. In effect it sterilises large areas of land some would say (me included) unnecessarily.

From that awful Slavic culture.. Contrastes, the second part of Tchaikovsky’s Concert Fantasia op 56, a masterpiece that deserves to be known as Tchaikovsky’s real 3rd Piano Concerto. (His actual 3rd is a one-movement incomplete piece, later “completed” by his friend, Sergei Taneyev, orchestrating Tchaikovsky’s Andante and Finale).
Here played in the composer’s original 2-piano version, the soloist is someone that I’ve never heard of, Tatiana Davchenko.
A really brilliant babe, worthy of a subscription and a like.

Note that I neither state nor believe that a sense of morals and traditional values is unimportant, or should be discarded

Muddy – The problem is that the Left has totally discarded morality, and the Right cannot do that. So we fight with our arms tied behind our backs.

WHY do we fight with our arms tied behind our backs?
WHO tied them there?

Spending so much time and effort worrying about how our opponents are morality-free is a waste of resources. We will not influence them to change their behaviour by using guilt or shame, because they are incapable of acknowledging either; see my numerous recent comments about whose rules (the gang’s or society’s) are dominant. If you are speaking English to a person you know – or soon learn – does not understand the English language, would you persist in doing so – maybe by speaking more slowly, and louder? What will this continuation of the same, unsuccessful tactics, achieve? Are we actually evaluating our efforts at all, or simply assuming that our moral and intellectual superiority will carry us to victory, (and if someone cannot SEE that, it doesn’t mean it isn’t HAPPENING)?

We can (and should) keep our own value system intact, but focus less on simply ‘raising awareness of their hypocrisy’ and more on how to undermine and eventually defeat the existential threat their lack of morality poses.

We don’t NEED to tie one or both arms behind our backs. That our moral anchors weigh us down is a myth.

We have what we need to achieve the desired goal – to stop, turn back, pursue, and reduce to ashes, the barbarian parasites that seek to drain us of every nutrient. We simply choose not to. Why, I don’t know. We have the choice. If we choose to tie an arm or two behind our own backs because we think this will provide a handy excuse for when we fail, then we choose to fail. It is still a choice.

I should remind anyone here who thinks Andrew Probyn was a half decent journalist. The truth is that he was far-left and very partisan activist hack. Worth remembering how Probyn described Tony Abbott in 2017, as “the most destructive politician of his generation“*, and for that breach of impartiality, Probyn was “chastised by ACMA for breaching impartiality standards in a controversial report about former prime minister Tony Abbott.”

Good riddance.

* And remember, Andrew Probyn has never described that miserable shit from Point Piper as “the most destructive politician of his generation”, a pity because that would be the truth.

Gilas, speaking of Tchaikovsky, this is the famous recording that made me want to learn ballet, something I’ve never regretted. It’s not exactly ballet music but it certainly stirred the dance in me. It was the first ‘classical’ music I’d ever had exposure to, for such listening wasn’t much in my cultural ambit back then, but it stirred me to dance and then on to more and different classical pieces.
The His Masters Voice version from 1941, not the even more strident version from 1943.
Horowitz and Toscanini are unbeatable for the strength, timing, grandeur and mood changes of it.
I think I was eleven when I first heard it, and I still dance around home to it occasionally even now.

In a political sense, it would be more effective to substitute ‘maintain the initiative’ for ‘attack.’ By ‘calling the shots’ you can force your opponent to divert from their plan (assuming they have one) and use their resources reacting to your tactics. If you can keep them reacting and wasting resources (including time), you put yourself a step ahead in the achievement of your own objectives. That’s the simple theory anyway.

It sounds like Pwobyn didn’t get on with the fem-boss:-

Last October, The Australian reported that Probyn had been “incredulous” at Ainsworth’s first big decision after taking over the running of the bureau: to ditch the ABC’s beer fridge.

Probyn was the only staff member to speak up at a meeting in the bureau to protest the decision. But Ainsworth would not budge, telling all Canberra staff in a follow-up email: “It does compromise our reporting of the culture in this building if we are still running a beer fridge … It’s no longer acceptable to drink alcohol in the office these days.”

I actually agree with her.
I don’t mind a drink but booze has no place at work.
If it’s good enough for truckies and machinery operators, it’s good enough for everybody.
If ScoMo was half-smart that is exactly what he would have done when all this “Parliament House culture” stuff got started …
“I am aware of a case before the courts involving serious allegations of misbehaviour in Parliament House. I do not intend to make any comment on that matter whilst it is before the courts. However, this is an opportune time to bring Parliament House up to the standard of other workplaces around the country. This will involve a number of key changes, one if which revolves around alcohol. From next Monday, Parliament House will become an alcohol free workplace, which means no alcohol will be permitted on the Parliament House precinct, and this will be enforced by random drug and alcohol testing of all members and staff”.
Standby for the howls, probably led by Pwobyn:-
“Overreaction … isolated instances … no underlying cultural issues … yada yada”

JUNE:
• Trump — 59% (+45)
• DeSantis — 14%

The trend is devastatingly clear.

DeSantis’s problem is he’s fighting the wrong enemy.

DeSantis is actually talking about issues…well (16 Jun)
Hot Air, by David Strom

Ron DeSantis has been doing both–attacking Biden for how awful a president he is, and making the case for a better path for America. On the latter, he has the perfect platform: Florida. If you want to know what DeSantis will do you can look at what he has done. If you want to know his principles, you can see how he has governed, and he is open about what matters to him.

He fights, which is good. But the real enemy is the one within the Republican Party. He is not fighting them, and Trump is. That’s why the Republican base is increasingly backing Trump so decisively.

I suspect DeSantis is in a bind, since he isn’t so able to fund his campaign as Trump is doing. Which means he has to be nice to the grandees who own the RNC, so that he can get donor backing. Unfortunately that then is a kiss of death with Republican voters.

Fighting the Dems is all very well, but in practice it is futile since they’re going to steal the election just as blatantly as they did in 2020. Probably even more blatantly. So the only winnable fight is to clean out the 5th column in the Republican Party. Which Trump is trying to do and DeSantis isn’t.

Funny how everyone knows him by the famous First Piano Concerto, which is the worst of his four compositions for piano & orchestra.
As they say: There’s no justice, and no accounting for taste.

As for his Symphonies, they are all masterpieces of orchestral compositional technique, heavenly melodic inventiveness a non-optional extra.
