“We are so despised that people don’t believe that we deserve to have an advice committee to the parliament, to advise them on Aboriginal issues — only Aboriginal issues.”

We are so despised that we do not have our own special additional body enshrined in the constitution beside the Parliament and the courts, that no one else will have access to.

I wonder if she noticed after she said that, that she was arguing that being treated like everyone else was a sign of being despised. So where does that leave the rest of us?

I really hate to have to be this blunt, but the stone age really has nothing to teach us about how the nation should be run, and even more the case the people who never lived as their stone age ancestors currently play-acting at what they think it was all about (waving smouldering sticks, wearing possum-skin ponchos – then buying some food from Colesworths or Uber, going home to a house with heating and aircon and water that comes to them, and watching MAFS in their slippers on their TV before brushing their teeth and sliding themselves between laundered cotton sheets on a bed).

Don’t hate it, Mother Load – rejoice in the truth of it.
For Truth it is – with a capital letter.

Can you imagine the pain?
You’ve been promised a sweet little role in da Voice bureaucracy. $400k plus very juicy expenses.

Reminds me of the Teal entourages.
All expecting staffing roles, but then Albo only gives them one more than a back bencher.

Monique Ryan’s offsider, Sally Rugg-Muncher, complained about “workload”.
I don’t think it was the amount of work. It was the type of work. She would happily have spent 16 hours a day flying around the country going to Very Important Meetings on Climate Change, or attending High Powered Press Briefings about Corrupt Liberals.
Answering constituent complaints about pot-holes and electricity bills was just soooo tiring.
(A bit like the “menial work for interns” thing)

All their watching of House of Cards was for nothing.

Not to mention being able to recite every line from West Wing by heart.

Cerno’s not bad, but yes, people need to get a hold of reality. If the US could be fought to a stalemate in Korea, the idea that it could overwhelm a near-peer/ peer enemy in Ukraine in a week is reckless fantasy.

America virtually won a total victory on land, China started a human wave counteroffensive and MacArthur wasn’t allowed to nuke.

Russia couldn’t even occupy the majority (let alone roughly half or similar) of Ukraine and has been fought to a standstill in conventional warfare by an enemy who uses its forces sparingly, unlike Mao.

The selling of Yes by Albanese and Co. is a variation of the bait and switch fraud.

“Look, it’s just an advisory committee. And imagine how good you’ll feel by supporting the most disadvantaged people in Australia. (Subtext: You’re not one of those racists, are you?).”

Then, once passed, the switch is made and we’re on the path to indigenous sovereignty.
Too late then to complain, “Hey, I didn’t vote for this!”
What I’ve been say about the Left for years. The bait and switch is one of their most effective tactics, and people still fall for it.

From the Oz.

A Family Court judge has determined that a father’s refusal to conform with traditional gender norms left his three children “confused” and encouraged them to “question their gender identity” after they all began identifying as non-binary, ruling the two youngest children will not be permitted to see their father for an extended period.

All three kids in one family going non-binary.
I need some help here.
I am trying to work out the odds of this occurring randomly, but my butcher’s paper is starting to smoulder around the edges.

Answering constituent complaints about pot-holes and electricity bills was just soooo tiring.

A typical Teal staffer response:

Dear Mr Constituent:

Thank you for your correspondence of 12 April, in which you raise concerns about rising electricity bill amounts and the number of potholes in your street.

To further progress these matters I require further information:

1. What is an ‘electricity bill?’; and
2. What is a ‘pothole’?

If you were to provide this information at you earliest convenience, it would be greatly appreciated.

Yours sincerely

Govt to Spend $1 Billion on Electric School Buses

“The Clean School Bus Program has been funded with a $5 billion grant from the Inflation Reduction Act that should be appropriately named the Climate Change Act. Around $1 billion of this will be spent on electric school buses. As with all spending plans, the budget quickly jumped from $500 million to $1 billion after the EPA said there was a strong demand. The buses will first be tested in low-income districts, and the people are not happy.

The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) has reported a drastic dip in test scores since 2020 when the government closed down schools for a virus. Math scores are at a 50-year low. Out of a score of 500, 13-year-old students scored an average of 271 in mathematics. Literacy rates are also declining with the average 13-year-old scoring 256 out of 500. Pre-pandemic, this same demographic scored 260 in reading and 280 in math. “The bottom line — these results show that there are troubling gaps in the basic skills of these students,” said Peggy Carr, commissioner of the National Center for Education Statistics. One troubling report showed that 70% of 10-year-old students could not read after the lockdown worldwide.

There is also a growing shortage of teachers due to low pay and most public schools are lacking basic supplies. A report from June 2022 showed that public schools lost 7% of all instructors (233,000 teachers) between 2019 and 2022. Here in Florida, there are reports on the news all the time of air conditioning systems failing amid a summer heatwave. Schools throughout America lack basic funding, kids are forced to share books, the most fundamental items like pencils are often shared, and the curriculum has nothing to do with becoming a successful member of society.

There are countless issues that public schools face, but let’s focus on spending on buses when that is not an area of concern to anyone outside the Build Back Better climate change crowd. Electric school buses cost between $350,000 and $450,000 – nearly four times more than traditional diesel buses. Need to replace the battery? That could cost around $50,000 to replace and the average lifespan is only 7 to 8 years.

“Who doesn’t love a yellow school bus?” a smiling Harris asked an invitation-only crowd at Seattle’s Lumen Field, with an electric bus behind her. “We are witnessing around our country and around the world the effects of extreme climate,” she said. “What we’re announcing today is a step forward in our nation’s commitment to reduce greenhouse gases, to invest in our economy … to invest in building the skills of America’s workforce. All with the goal of not only saving our children, but for them, saving our planet.”

GOP political candidate Tiffany Smiley offered a word of advice to Harris: “At a time when school test scores are at the lowest levels seen in a generation due to harmful school closures, Vice President Harris and Senator Murray offered ZERO solutions to this education crisis at an event where they claimed to care about what’s best for our children. It’s easy to support infrastructure FUNDING, especially for cleaner buses. But the Democrat’s economic policies have led to labor shortages that threaten to derail infrastructure DELIVERY, with Seattle Public Schools unable to hire enough bus drivers to staff all of their routes. This is a prime example of Patty Murray caring more about the priorities of Washington D.C. over Washington state.”

Yet again the government is funding an imaginary problem while bypassing the real issues that need to be addressed. One BILLION dollars could fund a plethora of items that would improve the lives of the people immediately. This net-zero push is becoming increasingly costly and they want to have it all squared away by 2030. Expect more expensive and unnecessary changes.”

‘Violent, black men’: Comedian slammed for CPAC speech mocking traditional owners

Indigenous leaders have denounced a comedian who mocked the Welcome to Country by labelling traditional owners “violent black men”.

Indigenous leaders have denounced a comedian who mocked the Welcome to Country by labelling traditional owners “violent black men” at a conservative conference over the weekend.

But the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) has defended the 25-minute “comedy skit” by Rodney Marks, who was billed on Sunday’s agenda as “Dr Chaim Tsibos”, a United Nations diplomat.

“I’d like to acknowledge the traditional rent seekers, past, present and emerging,” he told the audience at Sydney’s Star casino to cheers and laughter.

“But seriously, I’d like to acknowledge the traditional owners — violent black men. I hope there are some real feminists in the audience who appreciate the part truth of that joke. I don’t want to demean or harass anyone … and I don’t want to be divisive.”

Richard Marles runs up $3.6 million VIP flight bill

The Deputy PM has run up a VIP flight bill of $3.6 million after previously mocking former Speaker Bronwyn Bishop’s helicopter trip.

The Defence Minister’s globetrotting adventures have been laid bare in Defence Department documents that were only released following a freedom-of-information request.

But the government is refusing to say where he went or who he took on the plane as guests, citing “security issues” despite the fact the flights took place up to a year ago and the material was previously published for decades.

The Albanese government now claims that the material can no longer be published for safety reasons, after a review that was quietly initiated by the Morrison government after it was repeatedly embarrassed by the VIP flight logs being published online — including the scandal that ended the career of Ms Bishop.

A spokesperson for Mr Marles said she would not be revealing where he had travelled on the $3 million-plus worth of taxpayer-funded flights.

“All travel conducted by the Deputy Prime Minister either in his role as Defence Minister or as Acting Prime Minister is in accordance with the relevant guidelines and security procedures,” she said.

Mr Marles’ office noted that the Special Purpose Aircraft (SPA) Guidelines for disclosure had been revised by Defence, as a result of a security review led by the Australian Federal Police.

The review has found that “the Special Purpose Aircraft Guidelines are not currently fit-for-purpose in regards to protecting security sensitivities, including demonstrating a protection of pattern-of-life data for passengers”.

Mr Marles’ high-flying habits have even involved spending double the amount the Prime Minister spent in the final quarter of 2022 when he ran up a stunning $936,604 bill between October and December alone.

This year alone, Mr Marles has run up a VIP flight bill for private RAAF planes worth $1,346,381.

Last year Mr Marles spent $2,275,060.

It’s believed some of the VIP flights are also picking Mr Marles up at Avalon airport, a quick 30-minute drive by chauffeur-driven car from his home or Geelong-based electorate office.

But it was a different story nearly a decade ago when Mr Marles raged over the decision of the Ms Bishop to use a VIP helicopter to fly to Geelong.

“Recently, the country dropped its collective jaw at the arrogance of Speaker Bronwyn Bishop using taxpayer money to fly in a helicopter from Melbourne to Geelong,” he wrote.

“Mrs Bishop’s colleague Sarah Henderson has ducked questions on the topic like an English batsman reacting to a Mitchell Johnson bouncer.

“We’ve been the unfortunate punchline in a bad joke that has seen taxpayers foot the bill for a ludicrous waste of money charged by Liberal stalwart Bronwyn Bishop to travel by helicopter from Melbourne to the Clifton Springs Golf Club on the Bellarine Peninsula.

“What was so urgent that she decided she would charge the Australian people a touch over $5000 for the scenic flight? It was so she could attend a fundraiser for the Liberal candidate for Bellarine at the recent Victorian election.”

Mr Marles said she “absolutely should know better”.

“The notion of being so out-of-touch with how the rest of the country goes about life is one of the biggest breaches of faith a politician can commit,” he said.

“Not surprisingly, we have yet to hear what local the Liberal leadership think of Mrs Bishop’s extravagant entrance. Though on the weekend, we did hear from Mrs Bishop in a jaw-dropping press conference, where she pretty much insisted she did nothing wrong and described the attacks on her as a “political beat up”.

“I’m not sure what circles Mrs Bishop moves in, but for the people that I have been speaking to, this saga represents what the community dislikes most about politics and politicians,” he said.

“I think if Mrs Bishop had asked for feedback from any of us who do the trip from Geelong to Melbourne and vice versa by car, she would have got the kind of feedback that probably isn’t fit to print.

It is staggering that someone who is supposed to serve the people thought it would pass any kind of test to charter a helicopter from Melbourne to Geelong and expect voters to pick up the tab.”

Greens Senator David Shoebridge, who lodged the original FOI request to reveal the data, urged the Albanese government to return to the publication of all VIP flights in the interests of “transparency”.

“When people are facing serious cost-of-living pressures, having politicians tell them their flights are so special, expensive and secret that they can’t know the details really doesn’t cut it,” Mr Shoebridge told news.com.au.

Better add Australia to that list, flyingduk – you can bet this summer will realise devastating bushfires of no apparent cause.

Maybe some. But our RFS locals – all experienced farmers – reckon that we may have our hands full if it is a hot, dry summer. Sure – the mountains in the Wollemi and lower Blue Mts were subject to severe fire reduction pre-pandemic. But the wet years after the fires have really accelerated growth of paddock grass which is now matted and dry where grazing stock is low or non existent. Quite recently we had a devastating fire in the Sofala area which destroyed several houses and killed hundreds of sheep. We will not be necessarily crying wolf if grand fires erupt as predicted this summer.

BTW two recent small fires in our area were started by one farmer welding machinery in a paddock, and another slashing. It is that easy in dry conditions.

Great rant re the support we all need to offer to CPAC, Cassie. We were only able to make the one day, Saturday, but it was a really memorable event, as they always are.
It is very heartening to be part of standing ovations to people we greatly support with a crowd of other enthusiastic supporters. What is not often mentioned is that CPAC is also a lot of fun. There are jokes and gags aplenty and considerable bonhomie in the break periods as well as in the audience during speeches. Vernon Jones in particular brought his own downhome Georgia presence to create quite a few funny moments. You also learn new things – who knew what Nick Cater confessed under questioning, that he was once a member of the British Labor Party, making all five on the stage ex-Labor refugees fleeing a Party that had moved far more than they had? Typical of the ‘transition to the right’ stories that we often hear on the Cat too.

It’s really good on these older music tracks on youtube to read the comments afterwards, for they show how many people of an older generation still get pleasure from them, and the circumstances in which they recall hearing them long ago.

Talking Heads did a lot of sanity-saving during the 80’s, because their inchoate flow allowed you to really let go emotionally, sometimes necessary when raising teenagers. Some of them even sat down with you and liked listening together.

The West Wing was such a dangerous show.
Military conflicts sorted out in an hour episode (including ads) with zero US casualties.
A little quip here, a speech there sorting out issues that formed over two centuries.
People actually believe that’s how it works.

Don’t forget the wise, fatherly President. Huh!

The real story, that it is a pirahna pool of liars and grifters (with a few exceptions) would be fascinating, but is unlikely to be screened by the Hollywwod elite.

Speaking of which, it has been very much a tectonic, seismic time of change in the entertainment industry. The movie biz – which I have long believed to be mostly a money-laundering exercise – is in the toilet. Cable TV is going down, down, down. The wukkas are on strike, and they are terrified of AI. Even the music industry, another example of how to hide cocaine in the accounts, is undergoing big changes.

The people who told industrial workers to ‘learn to code’ when their livelihoods were destroyed are discovering that it is too late for them – coding has been outsourced to India at less than half the cost.

Back to waitpersoning and hooking.

Too bad.

I am lucky that both of my knees are still pretty good at 81. Occasional twinge going downhill in my right knee but nothing serious, never had to have any injections into either knee or feet and x-rays show reasonable wear only. I think regular dancing is very important, not overdoing it, but keeping normal movements and balance front of brain; brain trains body to move and heal. My broken left foot has healed extremely well now, after being a bit difficult for more than a year. As we have steps up to our place we both have to keep our knees in good working order.

Thanks to my dance peers and wonderful teacher (who is 80 soon), who can all be inspirational. Finding Mr. Motivator online has also been helpful for periods when travelling – you get a mini-workout using simple dance movements. I’m trying to do something exercisey daily, no matter what it is. Never give up, never look back.

It’s all good, Tom. Amazing what sophisticated medicine can achieve. They put a pump into the site which injected little doses of local. Tra-la! I was haring around the corridor with only one crutch. All I needed was a parrot.

All good things must come to an end and I lost that particular piece of apparatus yesterday. The crash came at midnight, when every vestige of anaesthetic had disappeared. Yikes!

Knee ops are very painful, I saw my mum through two of them, and as Cassie had feared, mum had so much pain with the first one that she kept putting off the second one. In the end though she needed to keep her mobility so we planned the recovery together. I got quite tough with her making her walk to the post-box and back, which she thought was cruel, but I knew if she didn’t do it, with my help, she would lose both strength and motivation. She thanked me later, as I told her she would when I opened the front door and said we’re going out, now, no argument.

Good luck with yours Calli.

Oops, I forgot. I did have to have an injection of cortisone into my left heel some years back, for a heel spur. Two injections of it later and it was all gone, also assisted by rubbing the feet of the foot god in Kyoto. I also had a painful bursitis in that hip, which was injected and which has never returned. My hip joints are solid and good, bone density also in the excellent ranges (oestrogen, oestrogen) – bursitis is an inflammation of the surrounding tissue, the bursa. Probably too much dancing followed by Cathedral walking in the UK.

We are all of us mortal and prone to disintegration. Thank goodness for modern medicine and surgery. And anaesthetics and pain killers.

Poor little Attapuss is going downhill, he has had very little to eat since we arrived back from Qld and didn’t do well while we were away for six days. Birdies have done well from all the food treats I tried to tempt him with. Luckily he’s drinking OK, and is obviously hungry but his mouth is hurting. His dental operation is booked for tomorrow and it can’t come fast enough for me. Attapuss is wailing to get up on me constantly, as it is the only thing that comforts him. Ah, Endone.

AKA Oxy, the stuff that many an otherwise invisible junkie is hooked on.

When I was in hospital for a nasty broken arm (the X ray looked like a bundle of straw chopped through with a blunt machete) they gave me Endone every four hours.

As a result, I went for five days without a cigarette and barely noticed, I was so pleasantly zonked out. This from a committed and unapolagetic smoker of more than 50 years.

Then it was a reduced dose when I went home, for a couple of weeks. The arm really was bloody painful, and the relief was amazing. But, mindful of the hazards, I reduced the dose myself to zero.

While I wasn’t really tempted, I can see how people could get into trouble with it, especially those with painful conditions that last longer than that.

Broadcaster Ray Hadley has blasted a Sydney aged care home after it documented a dementia patient’s Voice to Parliament voting preference, despite a doctor saying the woman is not capable of signing testamentary documents.

You’d be in fairyland if you didn’t think this has been going on for a long time. Many years ago I worked with someone who had been a junior admin person in the Vic premier’s office during the unlamented Bracks administration. Thank you for your transfer of .. one million dollars, I read in words on the screen as he called me proudly to check the rate. Don’t click it, I say quickly. You are not transferring a million, but one hundred thousand. They’ll do ‘funds not available’ and block us. We look, and there it is, he’d added an extra 0. You’ve done that before, I remind him, in Prague, where the ATM gave you denominations of thousands in bulk paper sheafs, and I had to buy some jewellery with it to get rid of it.

We started the transfer again, with the correct amount. Then we discovered that we couldn’t do it in our joint names, so decided to go to the bank and do it that way.
At the bank today they said always come in, because we can give you a better rate than any of our internet deals. I guess that’s customer service. Worth knowing though.

No, dot, Ukraine had superior numbers on the field compared to Russia in February ’22, and yet the latter managed to capture large tracts of land it could barter for time in the second half of ’22 following the failure of the negotiations

Dover, can you explain the oeuvre with the above claim. Let’s assume it is true and that a dusty farming country had superior forces to Russia – the invaders. Wasn’t it a bit silly of Putin to attack a superior force? That’s pretty dumb, no? Was that the reason Russian forces had their arses kicked right back in the first couple of months into the invasion?

SITREP 8/20/23: F-16s Paper Over 500k Losses Report

SIMPLICIUS THE THINKER
21 AUG 2023

The biggest news of the day is the Dutch/Danish decision to supply F-16s to Ukraine:

But of course nothing in Washington “leaks” without a purpose. So you might be wondering, why the shift in rhetoric, what do they hope to accomplish? It seems that one of the reasonings is by clearly articulating the dire nature of the situation, they hope to steer policy into new escalatory directions. Whereas before their signals of alarm were perhaps more caveat or warning, now they’re prescribing actual directional changes.

In the above Newsweek article, the author offers an “innovative” solution to ending the war in Ukraine.

The author argues that, firstly, a “forever war” favors Putin and Russia, not Ukraine or the West, but they’ve discovered a way to “stick it to Putin” by ending the war abruptly and not giving him the “forever war” that he wants. They suggest to give Ukraine funding to continue operations up until July 2024, the date of the next big NATO summit. At the point of that summit, Ukraine should stop all offensive operations and then be given full entry into NATO.

This, they argue, would allow Ukraine to keep and consolidate whatever territory they’ve managed to win back by then, and would protect them from any further Russian advances by way of Article 5. This is no different than giving a divided Germany NATO status after WW2, they argue.

What’s most intriguing about this plan is that the author is actually none other than Democrat congressman Tom Malinowski, and it befits him to oh-so-conveniently militate toward a cessation of hostilities in July 2024, right on the eve of the U.S. presidential elections, whereupon Democrats will need all the help they can get.

If a plan could be designed and packaged in a way where it can be sold as a major “victory” then certainly Democrats will attempt to drag it out until the eve of the election to try to use “Biden’s major Ukrainian victory” as a huge final hour boost.

The other intriguing thing is how it dovetails with Lukashenko’s new theory, which he gave during a recent interview, that Ukraine will be inducted into NATO on the basis of Poland occupying its Western territories.

He doesn’t spell out the exact mechanisms by which he envisions this to happen, but merely the inference that NATO will have little room to reject Ukraine once a full-fledged NATO member has already politically merged with them.

Though he did impart his opinion that Ukrainians wouldn’t allow this:

But getting back to the main proposals: the other side, argued by Edward Luttwak in a new Die Welt article, says that the only way Ukraine can win is by going “total war” mode, a complete societal mobilization of 3 million bayonets.

. Ukraine needs to mobilize 3 million people to succeed in the conflict with Russia. So says an article in Die Welt.

“There is only one way forward: to wage the war with the seriousness befitting a national liberation struggle. Ukraine’s population has shrunk, it is true, but it is still more than 30 million people, so the total number of armed forces could be as high as 3 million. With such a military force, Ukraine could win battles and liberate its territory the old-fashioned way – in a war of attrition, like most European wars of independence,” the author believes.

“As for the Russian economy, the news is grim, but not grim enough. The war will not end because of Russia’s economic capitulation,” the author says, pointing out that unlike China, Russia is able to provide its own food and fuel, and generally produce almost everything it needs.

Until the last Ukrainian! It seems like Die Welt tries to impose a well-known Nazi concept of “Totalen Krieg” on modern Ukraine.

And it seems, ironically enough, that Zelensky has recently signaled interest more in this plan rather than the opposing one. Twice now in the past week or two alone, Zelensky has eerily posted videos chastising Ukrainian society for ignoring the war and imploring that “everyone” should be assisting in the war effort in one way or another.

Other Ukrainian officials have similarly began to signal such a direction. I recently posted one such official who stated that “all Ukraine” may have to be mobilized in the future.

The other ‘well-timed’ release making the rounds was the new NYTimes article with the “bombshell” revelation that over 500k casualties have been suffered in the war thus far:

Discussion continues to turn to what comes next.

More and more we’re hearing reports that Ukraine is simply terrified of stopping active offensive operations, no matter how costly they are in losses, because they suspect that Russia may launch its own offensive as soon as it senses Ukraine weakening and backing off. Thus, they believe that they’re fending off the coming locomotive by distracting it with their own flailing, but ultimately meaningless, actions.

The truth is though, it’s easy to see how the conflict can be a very confusing one for the uninitiated. Both sides claim to be winning and inflicting massive casualties on the other, but the actual battle lines have not changed much in many months. It’s a sort of Schrodinger’s War run on the power of belief and blind religious faith in one side or the other.

At the end of the day, there’s only one side from whom we’re seeing massive cemeteries being tracked from space due to their size, and daily urgent calls for more body bags, coffins, graves, crematoriums, etc.

Take this new AFU order for instance:

. The order of the commander of the 123 brigade of Territorial Defense of Ukraine appeared on the web.

So, according to this document, the commander of the A-7052 unit (123 brigade of the TERO) ordered his deputy in the rear to get mobile crematoriums, and the battalion commanders to collect receipts from the AFU militants to be cremated, writes the Kherson Bulletin.?

Apparently, the mobilization is going “according to plan” and no one wants to bother with transporting the bodies of the AFU militants, but simply burn them and scatter the ashes on the field.

Or this Ukrainian volunteer begging for body bags for a number of AFU battalions:

Recall my reports a while back about how the U.S. can no longer even produce certain types of explosives, relying on outside suppliers, one of the main ones ironically was in Donbass and subsequently taken over by Russia:

A shortage of raw materials – particularly the explosive TNT, which the US no longer produces – has hampered the Pentagon’s efforts to restock its own arsenal, which has been severely depleted by its support for Ukraine. Washington currently obtains much of its TNT from Poland but has been searching for new suppliers, including in Japan, after losing production partner Zarya when the region where the factory was located voted to become part of Russia in last year’s referendum.

Meanwhile, workers at the Storm Shadow factory in Britain are going on strike over low pay:

Likewise, some will hyperfocus on some irrelevant “drone strike” which was shot down and nullified but ignore that Russia strikes just blew away a major mercenary/foreign advisor gathering in Chernigov:

One report:

On August 19th, 2023, a strike was carried out on a drone exhibit held in the Drama Theater in Chernigov, Ukraine.

However, apparently, it wasn’t just a drone exhibit. Right across the street, the headquarters of the GRU (Main Intelligence Directorate), as well as the reception office of the Security Service of Ukraine are located.

A meeting of the officers of the Special Operations Forces of the AFU and NATO representatives from Poland and the Baltics was being held there. The purpose of the meeting was to develop a common concept of border protection.

Today, a joint meeting was held there with the Polish and Lithuanian military to protect the border and counter possible attacks by the DRG from Belarus and Russia.

There were 23 people with foreign citizenship at the meeting. The same number arrived from Lvov yesterday afternoon in Chernihiv. Of the 23, 9 corpses were found under the rubble, the rest are still considered missing.

In the Drama Theater, more than 38 fighters and commanders of the MTR of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been found killed. More than 75 people are seriously injured.

During the unsuccessful launch of anti-aircraft missiles of the Soviet period, two civilians were killed.

The contrail of the S-300 air defense system is visible on the video. The Armed Forces of Ukraine admitted that they unsuccessfully tried to shoot down a missile of the RF Armed Forces in the city.

Apparently, the strike was a test launch of the Iskander-K missile capable of carrying a low-yield nuclear warhead. It penetrated the Ukrainian air defense with no difficulty at all.

Western press indirectly confirmed the plausibility of the above report:

Hey calli, best wishes, trust that you will be mobile before the Great Weed Rampage of Spring and Summer. 🙂

They’re out there waiting, as you know.

Speaking of weeds, there has been some discussion at The Conservative Woman recently about mandated green bins and what happens to the waste. The contents are (at great expense) collected and taken to ‘composting’ facilities, and the outputs are then sold to punters as quality compost.

Trouble is, some plants – including the dreaded bindweed – require much higher temperatures than those used in the facilities for them to be destroyed. So, the environment protectors are, once again, spreading weeds at ratepayers’ expense in the name of saving the planet.

Miss Marple* was confronted with bindweed in a garden, and she said that you simply have to dig everything up and start again. She was right.

Wonder what weeds our green bin enthusiasts are spreading?

Part of News Corp’s coverage of Australian politics is to have at least two ALP suckholes at the national broadsheet, The Australian: Troy Bramston and Joe Hildebrand.

Bramston has always been an ALP suckhole, while I believe Hildebrand reached a new arrangement with News to become the ALP’s chief media promoter prior to the 2019 federal election.

Everyone with a brain knows Bramston is an ALP suckhole, but I believe Hildebrand is concealing his arrangement with News and expects the public to believe he’s a credible political commentator — not the professional ALP suckhole has contractually agreed to become on shows like Sharri Markson’s on Sky.

The climate alarmists are going nuts about the boiling seas.

The data is from Climate Reanalyzer, which is modelling of modelling.

Measuring sea temps is notoriously difficult. The best measurements are from ARGO which show no effective rise although this post is from 2013

More saliently they are ignoring the recent Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai ocean volcanic explosion which had a marked warming effect.

But most importantly they ignore the fact that CO2 radiation cannot heat the oceans.

How could it possibly be proved or disproved that something is ‘the oldest continuous culture on Earth?’

And, even if it is true, so what? Does that make it better, or more important, than the Egyptians, the Mayans, the Chinese, the Griks and Romans, etc?

It is as though people have been hypnotised into obliviating all of human history in favour of primitive nomads. Everything else is subsidiary.

It’s not about respect, it’s about dominance and playing on liberal white guilt.

“A couple of more plausible explanations?
(a) Dai Le ruined the career of Nobody’s Girl by defeating her at the last election, and putting paid to KKK’s Prime Ministerial aspirations.

They might even be using … form letters.
Then, just before the next election, they put in an FoI and, low and behold, lazy local MP Dai Le has only answered 15% of “constituent queries”.
Or …”

Very plausible Sancho. People need to understand that Skank Keneally and her husband are NSW ALP bigwigs and powerbrokers. Dai Le destroyed Keneally’s political career (thank God), and snatched a seat that Labor considered its own. Just as the Liberals shed tears over Wentworth, Labor have shed tears over Fowler. I would not be surprised if Dai’s electoral office is being regularly spanned by Labor operatives. NSW Labor is angry, very angry about the loss of Fowler. Keneally was supposed to win that seat and be in cabinet, sitting next to Sleazy. Dai Le shattered Keneally and Labor’s dream. They took the voters of Fowler for granted and got smacked in the face. Dai’s victory was one of the good things to happen on 21 May 2022. The ALP holds grudges for an eternity. They will never, ever forgive Dai Le for what she did to Keneally.

Shatterz, I’m curious about your thoughts re. Kristina Keneally, the onetime puppet of the crook Eddie Obeid, the disastrous NSW premier appointed by ALP hacks (mainly Obeid), the woman who was parachuted into a senate spot and then, despite living on Scotland Island, an extremely wealthy island enclave on Sydney’s upper north shore, was parachuted into being a candidate for the seat Fowler in south-western Sydney by Labor apparatchiks…..would you have wanted Keneally to win that seat in 2022?

I’m sorry, but even if Dai Le is a one hit wonder, even if she’s useless as the member for Fowler (and she can’t be more useless than any of the Teals), I DO NOT CARE, because Dai Le, by running in Fowler, managed to do what so many had tried and failed to do since 2002, when the loathsome Kenneally first backstabbed Deidre Grusovin and entered NSW parliament, and that is that Dai Le terminated, once and for all, the political career of Eddy’s girl.

I think the people of NSW will always be indebted to Dai Le.

Dover, when you get back, I would like to discuss the population thing that you criticized Zeihan about.

Just as you have compound interest calculated going forward in time, you can also figure out the compound rate of decline too, which is called the compound rate of decay. The former is called the compound growth rate.

Zeihan reckoned the Chinese population peaked at 1.3 billion in 2010 and has been precipitously falling since then with the population getting older. That’s his claim.

He argues the Chinese population will halve by 2050, which you called “dumb”.

In order to 1.3 billion to get to 650 million , it requires a negative compound rate of 1.7% per year for 40 years (2010 to 2050) Why is it dumb to think this isn’t possible considering the uniqueness of China’s situation. One child policy causing an imbalance between males and females as an extra topping.

Do you have any figures to show why a 1.7% rate of decay over 40 years is dumb?

Voice to parliament: Jews ‘recognise Indigenous ties to land’, says Mark Leibler

By paige taylor

One of Australia’s most successful lawyers has drawn parallels between the centrality of the state of Israel in Jewish life and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders’ connections to land in a call for Australians to know and support the Indigenous voice to parliament.

Mark Leibler made the comparison at a gathering of leaders in business, politics and Indigenous affairs to mark the 70th anniversary of the Melbourne law firm founded by Arnold Bloch. Early clients were mostly Jewish refugees who had fled Nazi Europe with a determination and an imperative to build better lives for themselves and their families.

Arnold Bloch Leibler, which now specialises in advising on high-stakes transactions and disputes, famously nurtured a young Noel Pearson. Mr Leibler is Mr Pearson’s mentor.
Read Next

On Monday night at the Grand Hyatt in Collins St, Anthony Albanese, Marcia Langton and Mr Pearson were among the 900 guests when Mr Leibler said: “My sense of the ties between my Jewish heritage, the centrality of the state of Israel, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander traditions and cultures grew even stronger through my former articled clerk and great friend, Noel Pearson.

“Noel has often described our two peoples as sharing a ‘land-based identity’ – historical and spiritual.

“Noel also says that Indigenous Australians can and must resist victimhood, as the Jewish people have done, even in the face of persistent racism and victimisation. This is where the voice comes in.”

Mr Leibler was co-chair of the Referendum Council, jointly appointed in December 2015 by then prime minister Malcolm Turnbull and Labor leader Bill Shorten to advise on constitutional reform. Its final report 18 months later recommended a referendum on the voice.

“We are privileged as Australians that our history encompasses the most ancient, enduring culture on Earth,” Mr Leibler told guests on Monday.

“That is why successive governments and the vast majority of Australians have come to believe that the Constitution, our founding document, should recognise and celebrate this richness.”

I’m trying to keep a straight face.

I literally couldn’t walk the next morning, all the old guys with knee replacements were walking a day after with aid of a walking frame. An infected Haematoma extended my hospital stay and it seemed like ages before I started coming good.

The doc was telling me from a few weeks out when I couldn’t even straighten my knee that I would get near full range of motion back that I have.

My doc was good, apparently one of the best in western Sydney and I followed his rehab instructions to a tee. He was big on the look take as much pain relief as you need to exercise. My only tip rehab exercises are the key and yes I never want to go through that pain again.

The Next Major War Is Reportedly About to Begin, and “D-Day” Has Already Been Chosen

Not another one. As I have repeatedly warned my readers, leaders all over the globe seem to have come down with a really bad case of war fever. Instead of sitting down and attempting to find solutions through diplomacy, many of our leaders seem quite eager to use military force to settle matters these days.

There is no peaceful end to the war in Ukraine on the horizon, China is making preparations to invade Taiwan, and the “shadow war” in the Middle East could easily erupt into a full-blown regional conflict. But in this article I am going to focus on the next war that is reportedly about to begin.

A group of nations in western Africa known as ECOWAS is preparing to invade Niger with the approval of the EU and the Biden administration, and CNN is reporting that “D-Day” has already been chosen…

JC at 6:48.
It’s complicated.
It’s not as simple as a net negative compound rate, especially for Chinah.
The demographic histogram for the USA looks quite uniform. As expected, a slight drop off in birth rates over the last thirty years, and the tail off of deaths pretty uniform from 65 onwards.
The histogram for Chinah is all over the shop. It looks like a Chinese pagoda in fact, so a rule of thumb needs to used with some caution.
Remember, Chinah is short on ladies, due to gender-selective abortions during the one-child policy era. Ladies are quite important to population growth, so a standard calc assuming 50:50 gender split doesn’t work.
You would have to assume:-
1. a death rate (probably might achieve better longevity over coming years);
2. a birth rate for, say, five year bands between 20 and 40, and keep applying it to the females in that cohort.
I don’t know if halving from the peak that quickly is possible, but I wouldn’t use US or European rules-of-thumb to calculate it.
I’ll get busy with the butcher’s paper.

Apologies if this has been posted earlier in the year but it popped up on my YouTube today.

I haven’t heard so much common sense and plain speaking wrt all the problems with the renewables fraud

…only to be followed by what can only be described as a pseudo religious sermon, based on the premise we are killing the planet (of course).

Not even a passing mention of nuclear power.

Still well worth a listen.

Cohenite/others, do you know of this bloke? Simon Michaux.

Okay. Highlights from just one of the latest batch of ‘just throwing it out there’ from the coffee enthusiast:

Donald Kagan, the patriarch of Kaganism, followed a similar intellectual trajectory to his colleagues Irving Kristol and Norman Podhoretz: Marxist academics who transformed into rabid Reaganoid Cold Warriors in response to the Soviet Union’s support for Arab nationalism and anti-Zionism in the 1960s

And:

At PNAC, the Kagans were primarily concerned with expanding Israeli power by using the United States to topple Saddam Hussein, Bashar Al-Assad and strangling Iran, but by 2006, they grew increasingly suspicious and hostile towards Russia and China for seeking more control in how they interface with Western (read: Jewish) financial institutions and cultural values, while simultaneously choosing to pursue their own foreign policy paths independent of Pax Americana.

Nice. Nice.

According to Blinken and Kagan, a world of realism, where countries are free of Jewish minders and American blood and treasure is exclusively reserved for the benefit of American people

Great.

Under the doctrine of Kaganism, the only solution to global conflicts is to refuse diplomacy with sovereign states that have different cultures or political traditions, and instead kill and replace them through the Bolshevistic export of “American” values around the world

Uh huh.

their latest book celebrating Franklin Delano Roosevelt for deceiving the American people into fighting a world war against Germany and Japan, two countries Kagan admits never posed a security threat to the United States but had to be lured into a confrontation anyway

There’s more. Much more, which I do not propose to pollute this august journal of record with.

Put it allllll out there though. Give it some sun. Be prepared to have the piss taken out of it though.

I’m actually embarrassed for you though, because in this one at least there’s no mention of it being a satire site, or of Disney execs laughing maniacally as they’re being taken away in handcuffs.

Thanks for reminding us of the way Kenneally ousted Deirdre Grusovin, Cassie. Despite being Laurie Brereton’s sister, Deirdre was a person of integrity. She was shafted by an alliance of the Obeid clique and the gay lobby; the gays were outraged because she dared to expose some of the 99.98% of pedophilia not committed by the clergy – especially the industrial-scale pederasty in and around Darlinghurst. Hence the fawning subservience towards the gay lobby, as well as Obeid and Tripodi, by the fake Catholic Kenneally.

Fun fact.
In rural China, larger families are not uncommon.
I know a Chinese lady who is one of four daughters, who grew up on a farm in southern China.
As long as you produce the food, the authorities do leave you alone.
Obviously outweighed by the gazillion who are not having children.

Just listening to Gary Johns whom the Sleazy Prime has accused of cowardice.

Simple question posed by Gary Johns: why can the grandparents of aboriginal children in remote communities speak fluent English, yet their grandchildren cannot speak English fluently?

Perhaps Gary Johns should challenge the spitting Prime Minister to a debate on the issues and then we’ll see who the real coward is?

What? Not a seat on the board? Albo is a slow learner, he should copy the Bidens.

The Australian Netball team actually won the World Cup this month.
Yet the media bandwagon about the Matildas has left them with zip: no statue, no holiday, no parade, barely any recognition!!

Not enough lesbians in the netball team?

NAAJA is the main agency providing legal support to Aboriginal people across the NT, where the Indigenous incarceration rate is the highest in the nation and rising.

Ummm, they’re in the tronk for crimes of violence against other Indigenous people?
