Unmanned Aircrafts Will Fight the Next World War

“The US Air Force received their request by Congress to spend $5.8 billion on construction up to 2,000 unmanned aircrafts. These AI drones can operate autonomously without human interference. This means that the decision to decimate masses will not be up to human judgement. The Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) program has been approved and the US government is actively preparing to fight in a largescale war.

The Kratos XQ-58A Valkyrie cost up to $7 million per unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV). They have a range of 3,500 miles (5,600 kilometers) with a cruise speed of 548 mph (882 km/h). Kratos Defense and Security Systems owns the UCAV, and the two largest shareholders, of course, are BlackRock and Vanguard.

This will change the entire nature of war, shrouded in a grey area regarding ethics. Militaries can try to omit responsibility if they say a UCAV was operating on its own free will. Perhaps the aircraft will choose to liberate more poor nations in need of Democracy, especially if they have natural resources like oil. “AI will be a critical element to future warfighting and the speed at which we’re going to have to understand the operational picture and make decisions,” Brig. Gen. Scott Cain, the lab’s commander, said. “AI, Autonomous Operations, and Human-Machine Teaming continue to evolve at an unprecedented pace and we need the coordinated efforts of our government, academia, and industry partners to keep pace.”

This is a solution to the military personnel shortage every branch besides the Marines face. However, the destruction these AI machines will cause is untold. Kratos admits the XQ-58A Valkyrie is experimental. “The operational options that our family of UAVs brings to the warfighter are limited only by the imagination and provide CONOPS/CONEMPS options unavailable by any other competitor in the market,” Kratos notes on its website. The country with the most effective technology will win future wars. All bets are off as they do not know how these unmanned aircrafts will operate amid an ongoing battle, but the US is willing to bet $5.8 billion on their success.”

The way that the MSM goes on about this storm going through the Sydney region overnight and earlier today is just bonkers.

I remember in the late 1980s when a storm from the west smashed a wave from through to the Sydney Lower North Shore with tremendous hail, winds and rain. Tiles on our house roof were smashed, birds were killed even when hiding in trees, leaves and branches everywhere and our Car along with hundreds of others were written off with hail damage.

Could be the same one, Johnny, when I was living in Newtown in the 80s. We had been out somewhere, and drove home through knee deep water, with flailing trees and debris everywhere.

Typical Sydney storm combined with ancient drainage systems in the inner city.

Somehow, we all bravely got up the next day and soldiered on. 🙂

This snowflake wants Parliament to be a ‘safe space’ – perhaps MPs should be issued with teddy bears?

Parliament could then be known as “the Teddy Bear Pit”.

Nice! 🙂

For non NSW readers, the floor of the Lower House in NSW has long been known as ‘the bear pit.’

‘Those students are still there but they are now the faculty and making sure a new generation doesn’t dare challenge them as they did their professors when they were young. They learned how not to give up their power as it was always about power, not free speech.’

Exactly right, Crossie. Whereas those old-school liberal educators whom the 60s and 70s student radicals vilified as elitist Tory reactionaries would encourage their students to think for themselves and didn’t mind if that meant disagreement.

Husband just had furious debate on phone with “issues resolver” of the company which supplies electricity to the farm (& to which we supply electricity from our 10kw solar system). After the installation of a “smart meter” a couple of months ago our bill has absolutely soared for the excess electricity we buy off the grid.

Something is amiss, and we can see on the internet that others are having similar problems. The graph of electricity usage and sale to them just doesn’t make sense. Yet we can’t get any resolution of the problem. The only resolution seems to be to purchase an extremely expensive battery in order to go completly “off grid”.

I think you got the increase that we were told will be 30% up on previous bills. I got my electricity bill last week and think it may be even higher than the proposed 30% rise. I’m just thinking about poor pensioners and families on fixed incomes, how they will manage. Would you pay more for an ‘adults only’ flight?

Another airline has announced it will soon implement child-free zones on its flights. As a parent, I have thoughts.

I like kids. I have one of my own; an energetic six-year-old who can fortunately now be placated for long periods by the lure of unlimited YouTube viewing, should the need arise.

I think toddlers and babies are cute, too, just not when I’m seated near one in an aircraft.

I’d like to apologise (again) to the man who was seated in front of me and my son on a TigerAir flight from Sydney to Brisbane in 2019.
Read Next

I’m sure the hour-long flight felt like an eternity as he endured continual seat-kicks, ear-piercing squeals of delight and an unrequested hairstyling session from my uncontrollable toddler, who, unlike us, was thoroughly enjoying himself.

It was my first flight with a child in tow, and the last, I vowed, until my son turned 18 (or was old enough to sit still for an hour).

Last month Corendon became the first European airline to implement a cabin area reserved for passengers over 16 years. The Turkish-Dutch airline announced that from November 3 it would begin offering passengers the option to book a seat in a child-free zone for an extra €45 ($75).

It’s not a new concept. AirAsia and Singapore-based airline Scoot began offering seats in adults-only zones more than a decade ago, and in 2019 Japan Airlines introduced a “baby map” to alert fellow passengers to the locations of infants on their flights.

All it takes is a quick glance around a long-haul business class cabin as a parent wrestles their two-year-old into a nearby seat to realise this idea is a no-brainer. Passengers visually blanch as their expectations of a relaxing, quiet flight (which they probably paid a premium for) disappear.

And if you thought the parents were too busy dangling noisy toys in their baby’s face to notice the muffled groans and contemptuous side-eyes, you’d be wrong.

Child-free zones are a win-win for everyone: travellers can pay extra to avoid being seated beside wailing newborns, and stressed-out parents can call out disgruntled flyers for not forking out a bit more money for the privilege of a child-free trip.

So why aren’t more airlines adopting them?

Tour operator Evie Farrell agrees the concept should be more widely adopted by airlines.

The Mumpack Travel founder, who coordinates travel for families, says flying with a baby or toddler for the first time is one of the most common fears among her clients.

“I have a lot of parents ask questions like ‘Is my child going to cry a lot and upset other passengers?’,” she says.

“If you haven’t flown with a child before, the lead-up is so nerve-racking. For parents knowing that if there are people who are really against travelling with kids in their area of the plane, if they know if they’re elsewhere in their child-free happy place, that’s a real relief.”

At the time of publishing, requests to Qantas for comment regarding any plans to implement child-free areas on its flights went unanswered.

For passengers flying on airlines which haven’t (yet) embraced the idea of child-free cabin areas, it’s worth noting that bassinets are usually fixed to bulkhead walls behind the galley, bathroom, and other cabin areas, so book with caution. And don’t forget the ear plugs, and a bit of compassion.

Parents travelling with noisy children should be banished to the cargo hold.

You are absolutely right, Gez. But it is SO annoying. We are also having problems with the new smart meter on the city property & we suspect that these meters can be programmed to get the result that they want. I guess we can change electricity suppliers & see what happens. Don’t feel like splurging on a big battery and disconnecting from the grid at this stage.

BTW – re the 30% rise: we are arguing that their figures on actual usage can’t be right, based on previous years. The young bloke in the resolution centre kept quoting different periods for comparison. It is almost impossible to get them on the same page. He got a bit agitated though when husband said that there are similar disputes from others on the internet.

This petition is opposing the Climate Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen’s plans to build an offshore windfarm off the coast of the Illawarra. Chris Bowens plans leave affected citizens to negotiate with private individual companies who will hold licences to develop these structures in terms of scope, and impacts. There is no proposed limits in height, distance from shore or number of turbines that can be installed. There is also no clear plan for remediation or disposal once turbines reach their end of life. They will be visible from shore. This will not only be damaging to tourism but will also impact fishing, shipping and marine life.

Generally don’t like lifting and posting entire pieces, but this deserves a shot. How science is misused.

Author, John Grisham wrote the oped in the WSJ. Just incredible how potentially many innocent people have been caught up.

Texas May Execute a Man Based on a Scrapped Medical Theory
Autistic father Robert Roberson was wrongfully convicted of murdering his 2-year-old daughter.

By

John Grisham

For a parent, nothing is worse than the death of a child. Imagine the horror, though, of being falsely accused and wrongly convicted of killing your child.

Twenty years ago, prosecutors in Anderson County, Texas, relied on a now-discredited hypothesis about “shaken baby syndrome” to convict Robert Roberson of the capital murder of his chronically sick 2-year-old daughter Nikki. Countless caregivers have been prosecuted since British pediatrician Norman Guthkelch first posited in the early 1970s that shaking a baby could cause brain bleeding and even death. Many have been convicted and sent to prison, a few even to death row. Mr. Roberson could be the first to be executed. Texas may execute an innocent man.

Mr. Roberson has autism and was a special-education student before dropping out of school in the ninth grade. He had his challenges in life, including past drug addiction that had prompted convictions for writing a hot check and burglary. But he loved being a father to Nikki.

She, too, had her challenges. Child Protective Services forced Nikki’s mother to give her up at birth. Nikki suffered from chronic and severe middle-ear infections. In late January 2002, she had a high fever and undiagnosed pneumonia. Mr. Roberson put Nikki to bed but awoke later and found her on the floor. Mr. Roberson told police that Nikki didn’t appear to have any injuries. She was awake and talking as he tried to soothe her. Father and daughter managed to get back to sleep, but the next morning Nikki was unresponsive. Mr. Roberson brought her to an emergency room in Palestine, Texas. He told hospital staff that she had fallen out of bed, but they didn’t believe him. They didn’t know he was autistic and decided he didn’t show the proper emotions given the dire situation. Doctors transferred Nikki to a children’s hospital in Dallas, but it was too late. She died on Feb. 2.

Mr. Roberson was distraught but his nightmare was only beginning. The Anderson County District Attorney’s Office accused him of killing Nikki and sought the death penalty.

The deck was stacked against Mr. Roberson from the beginning. Accepted medical wisdom at the time was that any child with a triad of symptoms like Nikki’s—brain bleeding, brain swelling and bleeding in the eyes—had been violently shaken or hit against a surface, absent evidence of some other massive trauma such as a car accident or a multistory fall. The medical consensus viewed the presence of the triad to be diagnostic and considered the caregiver the culprit.

In a rush to judgment that is the hallmark of wrongful convictions, one doctor’s hunch about Nikki’s death led to Mr. Roberson’s arrest for murder. Even Mr. Roberson’s court-appointed lawyer agreed this was a “classic” shaken-baby case because, 20 years ago, the triad was considered diagnostic.

Astonishingly, a nurse claimed to law enforcement—and later in front of the jury—that Nikki had been sexually abused, even though no doctor endorsed that belief and there was no autopsy or crime scene evidence of it. The judge allowed the nurse’s testimony and prosecutors’ argument that Mr. Roberson was the kind of person capable of violently shaking a child to death. The jury agreed.

Dr. Guthkelch eventually became distressed at the aggressive misuse of his work by prosecutors. “I am frankly quite disturbed that what I intended as a friendly suggestion for avoiding injury to children has become an excuse for imprisoning innocent people,” he said in 2012 while arguing that convictions like Mr. Roberson’s should be reviewed. “We went badly off the rails.”

Slowly, belatedly, things are changing. Courts in 17 states have exonerated people convicted decades ago of murder or child abuse based on the outdated shaken-baby hypothesis. In 2016, days before Mr. Roberson was set to die, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals returned his case to the trial court for an exhaustive 10-day hearing. Mr. Roberson’s legal team presented six experts who showed that the outdated version of shaken-baby syndrome used at his trial has been discredited and that Nikki died as a result of her undiagnosed pneumonia, medications and accidental fall.

To overturn his conviction, Mr. Roberson’s lawyers had to accomplish two things. First, they had to show that the science used to convict him was wrong (or that the understanding of that science had changed since his trial). Second, they needed to demonstrate that the original jury wouldn’t have convicted him if it knew then what we know now about the shaken-baby syndrome hypothesis. Mr. Roberson’s legal team did more than those two things: It produced unrebutted evidence that no homicide had in fact occurred.

Mr. Roberson’s lawyers presented a 302-page document to the court that comprehensively summarized the new evidence from the experts. Anderson County prosecutors submitted a 17-page brief that hardly touched on the new science—instead rehashing outdated evidence and theories from the original trial in 2003. Mr. Roberson’s lawyers were surprised at the paltry offering. They were flabbergasted when Judge Deborah Evans rubber-stamped it, following the prosecution’s lead in ignoring most of the new expert testimony and all of the scientific studies showing a change in understanding of shaken-baby syndrome. Instead, the trial court’s recommendation cited the same trial testimony that had been challenged as wholly inconsistent with contemporary scientific understanding.

We expect our courts to weigh the evidence before them carefully and thoughtfully. But in Mr. Roberson’s case, and in a shocking number of wrongful convictions, judges simply agree with prosecutors and protect bad convictions despite overwhelming evidence of innocence. We should demand more from judges than a copy-and-paste job that entirely ignores changes in the scientific understanding of a case, especially when a life is on the line.

Nikki’s death was a tragedy, not a crime. Robert Roberson may be out of options unless the U.S. Supreme Court decides to hear his case.

Mr. Grisham, a novelist, serves on the boards of the Innocence Project and Centurion Ministries, organizations dedicated to exonerating defendants who were wrongfully convicted.

Years ago when signing up to Australian Super the Insurance/TPD option was a given. You had to tick the right box on the Application Form to opt out. What crooks as most people didn’t realise that they were signing up to Insurance/TPD with the Application. Without specifically applying for it.

Has to be a record outside whatever the Saudis are paying sports dudes.

CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Bengals have secured the future for their long-term quarterback.

Joe Burrow reached an agreement on a five-year, $275 million extension with the team that includes $219.01 million guaranteed, making him the highest-paid player in NFL history, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Thursday.

The contract averages $55 million per year. The deal ends months of negotiations and rewards a player who has flipped Cincinnati’s fortunes.

On Wednesday, Burrow spoke to reporters for the first time since he strained his right calf in late July, and he reiterated his desire to spend his long-term future with the Bengals.

There are 17 games each season, which means the dude is earning 3.2 million a regular game.

The other aspect is that even if you have multiple super accounts with TPD on all of them, guess what, only one pays.

My usage figures doubled last month, in addition to the increase. I am guessing they turned the ‘estimate customer usage” dial to 11 assuming we’d never notice it with the price increase. Hmm.

Something I came across today and proves 5 minute of searching shows what an incestuous bunch the media is these days.

Apparently, a go pro & 2L coke bottle are evidence of plastic pollution in the ocean found in a sinkhole in Belize. Note an airline magnate like Branson virtue signalling get a mention but I digress:

Here’s a silly quiz for those in their 70’s and 80’s who want to waste a bit of time on a wet Sydney day answering 50 multi-choice questions. How much can you remember about things that happened in the 50’s? I got 45, only getting knocked out on some American supermarket knowledge and one date. Quite a few you can do through a memory jog combined with a process of elimination. Plenty are still part of today’s general cultural literacy so yoof Cats and Kittehs in their 60’s and even 50’s could have a go. You have to keep score in your head or use a pen. 40 and over is considered pretty good. Most of the people commenting on this vid seem to come in mid-range 40’s.

Just did another one, one proverbs. Only a few multiple choice, then you had to know. lol in the comments though, for the quizmakers were in it for the quid, not the accuracy of the proverbs, which have to be word correct to be viable proverbs. Like most of this sort of click bait, the quiz was poorly produced. One commenter said:

A fun idea, but do YOU know your proverbs, Mr. Quiz Time? ?Actions speak (not action speaks) louder than words. Idle hands (not brain) are the devil’s workshop. A bad workman blames his tools (not tool). Beggars can’t (not cannot) be choosers. Where (not when) there’s smoke, there’s fire. Strike while (not when) the iron is hot. A picture is worth a thousand (not hundred) words.

Another commenter, who like me got them all right, said she’d done much better in that than the quizmasters.

Yoof crime again, Shannon Deery:

Raising the age of criminal responsibility will be a tough balancing act for the Andrews government.

The government has committed to raising the age a child can be arrested, charged or jailed from 10 to 12 by the end of next year.

By 2027, it will be raised again to 14.

And yet, every year hundreds of children aged 13 and under are charged with serious crimes.

Thursday’s arrest of a boy who had not long ago turned 14 over the abduction and stabbing of a Glen Eira College student is the latest shocking crime involving young teens.

The government has flagged the higher age of criminality may not apply for murder and terrorism style offences, meaning there would be some exemptions from the planned changes.

But what of serious assaults that leave victims fighting for life, sexual offending or serial repeat offending involving young teens?

The government has said it’s too early to determine exactly which serious crimes would be included in any carve out clauses.

Balancing the interests of community safety with the interests of young offenders will be key to striking the right chord with any legislative change.

It is internationally accepted that locking kids up is in many cases futile, and also heightens the risk of recidivism.

Victoria’s current regime is at odds with expert medical advice, and lags behind international standards.

But raising the age can’t be done responsibly without wholesale reform of the criminal justice system.

Supports need to be put into place to address problem behaviour before it occurs, but also to address otherwise criminal behaviour as it arises.

The government has committed to this.

But how it can strike the right balance doing this will be the challenge.

Maybe, just maybe a size 12 up the Khyber Pass might set them on the right track.

Country coppers in Western Australia used to round up Aboriginal juvenile offenders on a dark night, drive them a few miles out of town, and tell them to walk home. In a refinement, they would tell the offenders that Katchdika man – the tribal sorcerer – was about, and he would creep up behind them, and dash their brains out, with his stone club. Very few of them ever re- offended.

Somebody made a complaint to the Aboriginal Legal Service, who put a stop to the practice.

‘Omit the part’ to end restrictions on prostitution
By Monica Doumit – September 8, 2023

In last week’s column, I foreshadowed that I would write this week about Sydney MP Alex Greenwich’s Equality Legislation Amendment (LGBTIQA+) Bill 2023.

I expected that this week’s column would detail the legion of attacks on religious freedoms the bill contained, particularly when it comes to how we operate our schools and other institutions. All those provisions are in the bill, outlined in its first 17 pages, and while they are important, it is page 48 that is the most astonishing page in the bill.

Page 48 has only 16 words on it. It reads: “Schedule 18 Amendment of Summary Offences Act 1988 No 25. Part 3 Prostitution. Omit the part.” The meaning behind the words “omit the part” is a near-complete removal of the remaining restrictions NSW law has over prostitution.

The goal isn’t only evident in this part of the bill. Greenwich is also seeking to add “sex work” as a protected ground of discrimination in the Anti-Discrimination Act. The effect of his proposed changes would be that a landlord could not treat a rental application from someone who listed their profession as “sex worker” differently to other applicants, nor a religious school insist that its principal did not also have a side gig as a prostitute.

Margaret Betts obituary
Unassuming Bletchley Park machine operator who, after enlisting as a Wren at the age of 19, assisted Alan Turing’s codebreakers
Friday September 08 2023, 12.01am BST, The Times
London
Obituaries

For more than 40 years Margaret Betts never breathed a word about her wartime service at Bletchley Park, the secret code-breaking centre in Buckinghamshire. “It was only when documentaries started to appear on the TV and books started to be published that eventually she said, ‘You know, I was one of those’,” her son Jonathan said.

In 1942 the 19-year-old Margaret Booth, as she then was, had a job with the Inland Revenue but found the work “rather boring”. Her family’s life was upended when her newly married brother, Pat, was reported missing presumed dead after his ship was sunk by a German U-boat. She recalled thinking to herself: “What am I doing here, just working on people’s taxes?”

Determined to become involved in the war, she enlisted with the Women’s Royal Naval Service (Wrens). She was sent for initial training at Mill Hill School, north London, where the recruits were constantly observed. “One day, we were all called out into the hall. Seven or eight of us were told to be ready to leave Mill Hill tomorrow,” she said.

The next day she was summoned by “men in dark suits”, recalling: “I was told I was going to do some very, very secret work and I must never, ever talk about it, and I had to carry this secret to the end of my life . . . he was very emphatic.”

Betts had been selected to serve as a machine operator at Bletchley Park. She was introduced to the “bombe” decoding machine, taught how to feed in code and instructed to wait for a message to be identified. The drums whirred round and “every time it stopped we had to make a note of all the letters each one had stopped at”. She then took the results to one of the decoders, who used a captured German Enigma machine to decipher the code.

It was, she insisted, humdrum work. “We were operating machines night and day . . . You just had to stand by the machines, you had to concentrate when you were programming it and make sure it was set up correctly, and the rest of the time you were there watching it, waiting for it to come up with something.”

At first Betts was based at the Stanmore outstation in north London, recalling: “We used to dash up to London in our spare time, enjoying life.” Later she was posted to Bletchley Park itself. “We were very fed up . . . stuck in the countryside,” she said. “But looking back, we had far more fun.” Hitchhiking became a popular way of getting around, though she was astonished that no one ever questioned what a Wren was doing on the rural lanes.

She told of parties at American airbases with handsome servicemen. “They had proper food, as in Britain there was rationing but the Americans didn’t have it in the same way,” she said. On other occasions she went shopping in Northampton, overhearing gossip and rumours about Bletchley Park, including that it was a home for Wrens who had become pregnant out of wedlock. The Wrens were not keen to be thought of in that way but, she added, the cover story “rather suited the authorities”.

Betts insisted that she had been a small cog in a giant machine. “Please don’t come away with the idea that we’re all Alan Turings, because we’re not,” she said. “We were there operating the machines, we were obeying orders, we were applying logic to do what we were told to do and we were doing so efficiently and intelligently, but we didn’t design the machines for decoding. We were the service staff who were operating them.”

Margaret Booth was born in Ipswich in 1923, one of three children of Daniel Booth and his wife Dorothy (née Cubitt). Her brothers were Patrick and John. All three siblings won scholarships to Ipswich School. When war broke out her father joined the air ministry while her brothers signed up: Pat to the navy and John to the paratroopers.

In May 1945 she was in London to enjoy the VE Day celebrations but was asked to continue working on Japanese codes at Bletchley Park until VJ Day in August. Two years later she married Anthony Sneezum, whose family had founded a watchmaking business in Ipswich during the 1880s; they changed their surname to Betts. He never fully recovered from being held as a PoW by the Japanese.

They had five children: William, Helen, Clive, Jonathan and Alice. Anthony’s trauma meant that she “ran the family”, Jonathan said. For many years the only thing her children knew about her war service was that she worked in an office for the Royal Navy.

She taught at St John’s Church Sunday school in Ipswich and after Anthony’s death began to travel the world on her own. In her seventies she learnt Italian well enough to play Scrabble in the language but gave up on Sudoku puzzles because they were too easy. In her eighties she returned to visit Bletchley Park.

Asked by Jonathan in a video interview why it was not until the 1980s that she told him and his siblings about her contribution to the war effort, Betts replied: “Well, I signed the Official Secrets Act. We were told never to tell anyone. But it’s obvious now people are all talking about it.”

Margaret Betts, Bletchley Park machine operator, was born on December 27, 1923. She died on August 26, 2023, aged 99.

You know, we really do live in a time where we are now surrounded by progressive cretins who endlessly push nonsense of diversity, equity and inclusion.

Just watch this, a few days ago, at the Venice film festival, these two Danish directors had to put up with a cretinous question from an imbecilic journalist who asked the directors why their film wasn’t more “diverse”. Watch the director on the left roll his eyes in dismay.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HduZFoUOE3I&t=13s

The director on the right calmly said it is just an historical fact that Denmark in the 1750s, the time the movie is set in, wasn’t a particularly “diverse time”.

And they have many, many supporters who – in the effort to garner virtue points – help the possum scratch away, at the expense of the people who actually need help. Their virtue total means more to them than does a hungry and frightened child.

Oh, and the signs over the train doors on the inside also tell you what side the platform will be on so people can line up and others get out of the way before even reaching the platform.

They actually announce that too, in English, and, I presume, Japanese.
Today we caught the delightful little purple train, one carriage only, there, and then two carriages back, to the bamboo forest, which was busier than Burke st, not quite ah the serenity.
Though the observation platform in the gardens beside the forest, looking down into the gorge wasn’t anything like as popular, and came with a free fresh breeze.
If you can’t be bothered walking up to the forest you can rickshaw with a fellow wearing short shorts and what we called cow shoes or taxi up in either a black Toyota Crown or a red and white Toyota Comfort.

I wondered why face washers were for sale everywhere but finally realised they are used as perspiration moppers, and there is plenty of perspiration that needs mopping.
Though it finally feels like the evenings are getting a little cooler.
I bought a Japanese version of a lemon granita too, they use the lemon, skin and all, didn’t mind the zest, choked a bit on the pith.

ZuckerFraud.

Rachel Alexander
@Rach_IC
????????The testimony by the first witness Trump’s attorney John Eastman called to put on his side of the case in his disbarment trial has been nothing less than explosive. The trial ended for the day with more bombshells. He revealed that the Zuckbucks, $8.8 million from Zuckerberg’s Center for Tech & Civic Life (CTCL) provided to Wisconsin’s five large cities, violated the law. He said he doesn’t call them “grants,” he refers to it as “employment contracts,” since the CTCL employees actually go work with the clerks’ offices and get to see information about voters that the public can’t access as easily (the public has to pay $12,500 for voter roll info, only gets a snapshot of that instant, and usually has to wait 4-5 days for it, so there’s no way to determine whether someone was made active 2 weeks before the election then deactivated 2 weeks after the election). Also since if the clerks don’t comply with CTCL’s requirements, they have a huge penalty of giving money back. Those CTCL employees are able to determine if a voter was likely to vote for Trump or Biden. They were allowed to see voters who had requested ballots but hadn’t returned them, then go chase them down to get their ballots. The CTCL employees were “embedded” in the clerks’ offices and “running the elections.” Yet the Zuckerbergs had made statements they wanted to defeat Trump. He also said votes were “illegally cast” that were dropped off in the drop boxes, since the drop boxes violated the law by not being placed near the clerks’ offices – which the WI Supreme Court reaffimed; instead the clerks let CTCL dictate where they must be placed. The guy the Zuckerbergs hired to run this had written a book on how to defeat Trump, where he said the election would be won dueling it out block by block in these types of big cities.

By Monica Doumit – September 8, 2023

In last week’s column, I foreshadowed that I would write this week about Sydney MP Alex Greenwich’s Equality Legislation Amendment (LGBTIQA+) Bill 2023.

Greenwich personifies the disproportionate and insidious effect radical, fringe anti-traditional people can have when true conservatives don’t exist and the nominal conservatives are effectively cancelled like Latham.

Which is why he is now a Liberal Democrat.

I still maintain this is a huge mistake. If non collectivists are to attempt to peacefully take back government in Oz (and hopefully soon at that), we need to infiltrate the gliberal party (which BTW, in Qld, is known as the “Johalition”).

Otherwise it’s just screaming into the void. Which will not be screaming back at me, thanks very much, I tells ya. 😕

I see lots of talk about how the Dems ease out Biden without “easing in” Kamala!, especially on the left, in the US. Good Plan on the face of it.

Also, about who on the R side is the best option (did I actually see one poll comparing Haley v Biden?) to run against either Biden or the hypothetical replacement, who isn’t Kamala!

Don Surber has a piece tonight (“Kamala Can Win”) which got me thinking that all this makes a key assumption…

Hypothetical :-

Biden dies of [insert disease of old age here], quite suddenly.
Kamala! assumes the Presidency, obviously.

What happens next?

On the D side, do they have any feasible way of not having Kamala! run in 2024? I can’t see it…

If they are up against Kamala! what is the optimal GOP opposition? I don’t want to make this some RDS v DJT thing… sort of more wondering if a return to an idea floated waaaay back might not be a good idea. DJT with RDS as VP.

Not sure you want to be running an old bloke without also a proven track record in the VP if the previous President has just popped his clogs from old age. Yes, egos will get in the way! But if not that combo, what (that the GOP base will tick off)?

Just a thought experiment… I obviously harbour Biden no ill-will (of that variety).

Another feature of the on air discussions that I have gathered…they’re talking about legislation in lieu of the No vote winning. Big mistake. All it means is that the will of the people simply doesn’t matter. It’s what the politicians want that counts and they are above such tawdry inconveniences.

This was an aspect that I put to my Australia Wide FB Readership – Both of them – that the government was so dismissive of our efforts and feelings on the Voice thingy, that they were going to push it on to us whether the Referendum was passed or not. The fact that the Qld and WA governments were determined to push it through made it an easy and believable claim to make.

The whole of Canberra is one big middle finger to the rest of Australia well exemplified by the shape of the Parliament House. The people populating the city, staffers and advisers, are far from the general population in attitudes and interests that they cannot know how the rest of us live and what we think.
I don’t know what the solution to this is as even the staffers and advisors brought from the regions soon get absorbed by the Canberra blob. One thing that could help is to hire older staffers who at least have some life experiences apart from social media savvy. I have ranted about this previously that ditzy twenty-somethings are not suited to purpose but seem the only ones who are hired.

What happens next?

On a hypothetical put forward by James Morrow on his US Report tonight the Demons continue on happily as usual being run by Obama and his acolytes. If Biden is a puppet, simply now a useful walking corpse, then Kamala will up the ante on puppetry, with even more chance of being a totally amenable puppet than Joe (who has his snarly nasty moments of foot stamping for his ice cream). Kamala will be a dopey and ditzy you-go-cackle gurrl, which will go down well enough with the Dem women, not many of whom are deep thinkers. Thus, Obama for his fourth term.
