Only really used to do it on one freeway entry behind a lake so you knew there was nowhere for the cops to hide.

Not much stays with them for acceleration in a straight line, particularly roll on.
EVs has incredible acceleration.

Liz, is she still popular in the electorate or is there a change of heart?
She’s still popular enough, egged on by the Wentworth Courier which everyone reads for the real estate. I note though that houses that had Allegra pics up for the last election are not displaying Yes signs for this referendum. There is a lot of visual silence around, in spite of the Council Yes banners lining the streets. The lunching crowds in the cafes on the open plaza in front of Woolies where the No team were placed didn’t seem hostile, just a bit bemused, getting on with their lunch, for it is a place to casually meet up and be seen. I think that’s why the No team weren’t rushed, a lot of Shy No’s.

Repetitious, I know, but … Chris Kenny:
“The most reassuring, factual answer to all the scares run against the Voice is simply to clarify that it is an advisory body only, it cannot deliver anything, can’t deliver a treaty, can’t deliver reparations, can’t deliver anything.”
Then why the firetruck are we spending bajillions of stolen (taxpayer) money? If this inVoice can’t and won’t do anything, or deliver anything, what’s the effing point?
Surely those concerned with acquiring moral virtue credits would be more credible stripping naked in a public place and whipping themselves with rusty barbed wire?
But no, taking risks and actually exerting oneself is for others. This is ‘Like’ (in)activism.
True Bear, except the 2022 Lancia Delta Evo-e RX. You probably know that Lancia have a long rally history and their latest offering gets from 0-100 km/h in 1.8 seconds which is faster than a F1 car. The Suzuki Hayabusa, by comparison, is a rather pedestrian 3.1 seconds.
Having said that, you could buy probably buy 30+ Hayabusa for the starting price of one Lancia Delta Evo-e RX. Also, the Hayabusa is much less likely to catch fire.

All the wild speculation is simply smoke and mirrors for the obvious – a catastrophic, systemic failure on the part of authorities to protect residents.
Hard to believe, but the Hawaiian government and their agencies are even more inept than Australia.

There is far too much that doesn’t make sense and, isn’t being addressed. That’s a perfect environment for rumours to circulate.

Been listening to Patrick Bet David podcast with Candace Owens.
At 1hr 22mins show AI cameras in a coffee shop. Can track which staff making how many cups (3, 10 and 20 in an hour). Even can keep track of customers sitting down the longest. PBD says you could sack the 3 cup girl and give a raise to the one making 20. Of course depends on their actual duties but was an interesting clip.

Wow, NQ Cowboys womens team on flight down that annoyed piss out of me. Attention seekers is the politest description of their behaviour.
Taxi with party of 4 at 7pm cost $69 from Mascot to Spit Junction. If we had taken train/ferry would have been nearly double.
Saw the airhead Stegal’s office on Military rd. Observation quite a few Chinese in Mosman now.
Saw my first yes shirt today in the taxi rank. You older white woman of course.
Anyway night all, back to lurking. Found an open bottle shop near IGA so am relaxing now. Be seeing relatives tomorrow as well & visiting Taronga with some little ones in tow. My first time since I was a child as well, be nearly 40 years…

Many countries have spent decades trying to develop lasers for military purposes. Still failing.
Thats what they want you to think. / sarc
During the latter years of the Cold War, the US developed a laser that could scan across the battlefield and blind enemy troops.
It was banned under the label of “inhumane” – a bit like the neutron bomb that could kill Soviet tankies even inside their AFVs.
Anything that gave us the edge over the Soviets tended to be labelled ‘inhumane’ and would lead to protests by all sorts of odd people of dubious loyalties.
Lily White Voice Boomers annoying personages they really should not be, part eleventy gazillion and three quarters …
Leaving the train station at 5:32pm this evening saw the back of a white boomer voice spruiker, walked towards her, veered slightly to my left and stated very clearly in her left ear, “Racist”.
Anyone willing to place some money on da screeech registering less than 30% of the vote nationwide?
Not to mention all six states.
They’ve nothing left (PTP).

The civilization he is busily trying to destroy was built, over many many years, on an accumulation of details.
Details are not sexy, much less slightly more immediate.

Today one of those polling firms rang me up and I agreed to their questioning, in the hope that stronger NO polls would encourage those who aren’t ‘out’ yet. Ten minutes or so. In the office, I put it on speaker.
All the usual about age, postcode, voting intention, how likely to change voting intention, languages spoken at home other than English, position on the Voice, most important issues.
They had many statements about which they asked my degree of agreement or disagreement. I stopped it partway and said this is starting to sound like push polling. She then told me that they had ten from yes and ten from no. In the end it was not as biased or manipulative as I had feared.
They had questions that asked my opinion about what Aboriginal people wanted; I strongly objected because aboriginal people varied so much in situation (which I described as including senior public servants and members of Parliament as well as children suffering horrors which I named… and it was ridiculous to attribute one thought to them as a group.
Then a colleague came in from next door and said he was glad to hear all that because if they called him he could tell them no thanks to being questioned.

Without Custard and his QAnon quatrains we are literally stumbling around in the dark. My views on this blog are on the record.
Admittedly, you were off the pace for a long time.
Not anymore. Having the motorcycle classification on my license (for many decades) is enough.
I’d love to have a classic Triumph or Norton in the garage (what the heck, preferably both) but yeah nowadays, they would be ideally cruised around on an uninhabited planet. 🙂
Trailblazing former North Melbourne and Footscray player Phil Krakouer will be the lead plaintiff in a landmark class action which will allege endemic historic racial mistreatment of former AFL and VFL players.
That would be the convicted interstate drug trafficker Krakouer. Or perhaps that’s his brother Jim. The convicted rapist who wound a car window up, trapping a woman by the head before raping her from behind.
Or maybe I’ve got the brothers mixed up with each other.
Either way, not a great ad for the Voice. Terrible timing if compo’s what they’re after. Which it is.
The Krakouers are poster boys for ongoing colonial trauma.

They are trying to get rid of the Texas Attorney General, a conservative elected by a huge margin. That’s how much they respect elections – when they go against them.
Tucker Carlson goes to Argentina — and shows us what it’s like to live in a country where the government can’t stop printing money
All very well, but unless you can prove election fraud, I blame the Argentinian people, for voting for the government they have.
And they seem to be voting for them continually.
