Hamas horrors you luckily won’t see — glimpse of terror too sick for Israel to air

By Kelly Jane Torrance

What does one wear to a massacre?

That was the bizarre question that came into my head as I prepared — and braced myself — to visit the Israeli Consulate in New York late Friday morning to watch 45 minutes of the hundreds of hours of footage collected from Hamas’ Oct. 7 bloodbath in southern Israel.

I had some idea of the horrors I’d see, of course.

Photographs and videos showing the results of the terrorist rampage have streamed out of Israel and the Gaza Strip for weeks — some even as it was taking place.

Dead terrorists had on them written orders that included directions for operating GoPro cameras to capture their evil escapades and sometimes broadcast them in real time on social media.

Hamas and its Iranian masters wanted the dirty deeds documented. They aimed to terrorize an entire nation and beyond by showing just what they’re capable of.

And they sought to inspire their fellow travelers to follow suit in intensifying the jihad.

Yet some people still say they don’t believe such things happened — with doubters found in the most educated, elite sectors of society.

Hence Friday’s special event.

I used to be a movie critic, and I can tell you the mood at this screening was unlike any other.

None of us wanted to see such sights. But none of us would give up the opportunity. The world needs to know what happened as even “reputable” news organizations refuse to tell the truth about that gruesome day.

Journalists, about 20 of us, had to leave our cellphones and Apple Watches at the door. Some of the footage had never been released, and Israeli authorities had their reasons for showing it only to reporters and some select others — like President Biden.

They’re concerned about the feelings of the families involved, of course.

They also don’t want such horror and humiliation broadcast worldwide: “We have values,” as retired major general and reservist Mickey Edelstein declared in a Zoom briefing from Israel after the screening.

Am I trying to give you the proper context before describing what I saw? Or am I putting off putting into words images I’ll never forget?

Follow along with The Post’s live blog for the latest on Hamas’ attack on Israel

I’ve learned how ugly the world can be. I recently spent a few weeks in Ukraine, where I heard firsthand story after story of the indignities and inhumanity of Russian occupation.

I’ve interviewed Iranian escapees from Tehran’s notorious prison for dissidents, including a young brother and sister tortured in front of each other.

But human beings still have the capacity to shock — if one can call Hamas members human beings. I’ll long be haunted by what happened Oct. 7.

Everyone should be.

The footage eases you into things — a little. Terrorists fire at motorists on a highway. They enter a kibbutz and blow an ambulance’s tires first. They shoot a dog, who remains shaking on the street. They light a home on fire. Then they start entering houses.

Israel collected video from a wide variety of sources: public closed-circuit TV, traffic cameras, dashcams of terrorists and victims, as well as their social media posts and messages home. In footage from fighters’ body cameras, you can hear the murderers breathe heavily as they nervously approach their prey.

I wanted to look away

It was hard to watch. Harder still for the Israelis. The consul general admitted afterward he couldn’t stay for the whole screening. Another staffer seemed to find most difficult to see and hear some of the same footage I did: A father tries to get his young children, dressed only in underpants, safely to a backyard shelter.

A grenade lands before he can close the door, and he’s dead. A terrorist takes his two boys back into the house, and a security camera captures their devastation. The blast blinded one boy in an eye. The other falls to the ground, plaintively pleading, “Why am I alive? Why am I alive?” (The boys, we’re told, managed to escape — at least physically.)

We see homes in kibbutzim, fields young concertgoers ran through, Israel Defense Forces installations with terrified young women huddling in a room.

Blood. Blood everywhere, trails of it, puddles of it. Burned bodies still smoking. A man with his nose blown off. Headless Israeli soldiers. An elderly woman clad only in her brightly colored underwear never meant to be seen by so many. Piles of bodies surrounded by young men celebrating, chanting, “Allahu akbar!”

Some footage has been geolocated to Gaza. A broken woman is taken from the back of a Jeep, the rear of her pants coated in blood, and brought to the back seat. We can easily understand what’s likely happening to her there. Young men clamor over, trying to get a look inside, some recording with their cellphones. Two older men walk over — finally, this will stop, I almost think. No: They wanted a good look, too.

Women who were raped had their legs broken, consulate staff said. Then they were killed.

Many times I wanted to look away, but I forced myself not to. We journalists had to see what happened so we could tell the world.

Yet here is a line from a CBS News piece written by a journalist who saw the footage in Israel: “In another clip, a militant stands over a man who appears to have been shot in the gut and hacks at him multiple times with a garden hoe.”

The words “terrorist” or “terrorism” don’t appear in the piece. (They don’t appear in the New York Times’ report of that screening either.)

I can tell you it was not “a militant” who “stands over a man.” A group of terrorists argue over who gets to behead the man, a Thai worker bleeding profusely from his stomach but still alive. Someone does repeatedly hack at him with a hoe, trying to behead him. Every single time, the terrorist yells, “Allahu akbar!”

Support for atrocities

That difference in detail is why the consulate staff sat through 45 minutes of misery.

They need people to see what happened — and put the word out to counter those who pretend it didn’t or wasn’t as bad as claimed. Journalists from supposedly serious publications insist you can’t say Hamas beheaded babies — sure, dead babies were found without their heads, but who knows who did the deed?

The hate I witnessed goes beyond those who entered Israel that day. A young man uses a dead Israeli woman’s phone to call his parents and brag of killing 10 Jews “with my bare hands.”

He pleads, “Please be proud of me, Dad.”

That’s the culture Israel must fight even after it destroys those who planned and executed the Oct. 7 massacre.

And then there’s New York City. A day after the screening, thousands of antisemites marched into Manhattan via the Brooklyn Bridge after a rally at the Brooklyn Museum. At the front were people holding a banner that read “By any means necessary.”

Understand what signs like that, which are becoming more and more common, mean.

These people know what happened Oct. 7.

They are gathering in large numbers in New York and other cities around the country to show their support for the animals who committed these atrocities.

They are as bloodthirsty as the heavy-breathing terrorists whose voices the people of Israel will never get out of their heads.

Dozens arrested over anti-Jewish riot in Dagestan

Police conducted home searches and confiscated phones to determine those who took part in the storming of an airport in the southern Russian region

Russia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced the arrest of 83 people in connection with Sunday’s anti-Semitic riots at Makhachkala Airport in the Republic of Dagestan.

Police have warned that any attempts to provoke further unrest in the Muslim-majority region will be suppressed.

In a statement on Telegram on Monday, the ministry said officers had conducted over 50 searches and had seized mobile phones and other equipment to be used as evidence against those suspected of organizing and participating in the riot.

The investigation is being led by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD), the Federal Security Service (FSB), and the Investigative Committee (SK). The MVD described the “operational situation” in Dagestan as being under control but warned against any attempts to destabilize the region.

The arrests came after a crowd of rioters forced their way into the terminal at Makhachkala Airport in the Dagestani capital on Sunday, then pouring onto the runway in an attempt to storm a plane arriving from Tel Aviv. The unrest was apparently triggered by rumors on social media that the aircraft was carrying a group of “Israeli refugees” supposedly fleeing from the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The rioters blocked the runway for several hours as they tried to board the Tel Aviv flight. They were also filmed questioning random people at the airport terminal, trying to determine whether or not they were Jewish.

The authorities restored order following heavy clashes with the protesters, which left more than 20 people injured, including nine officers. Sixty rioters were arrested at the scene.

The head of the Republic of Dagestan, Sergey Melikov, stressed on Monday that the regional authorities would not allow the rioters to escape punishment, denouncing the unrest as a “betrayal” and vowing “no forgiveness for anyone.”

Ukraine was quick to claim that the incident was “proof” of Russian anti-Semitism.

However, Russian Muslim leaders and senior officials have condemned the scenes as unacceptable, suggesting the unrest was incited from abroad.

According to Melikov, the riots were sparked by rumors initially spread through the Utro Dagestan (‘Dagestan Morning’) Telegram channel, which has been exposed as a Ukrainian intelligence service project designed to stir ethnic and religious unrest in Russia. The channel was founded by Ilya Ponomarev, a former Russian MP who fled to Kiev in 2014 after being charged with embezzlement. The channel was blocked by Telegram on Monday for inciting violence.

Turn it up Zafiro.
Though you inadvertently raise a notable comparison.

These sadistic murdering savages differ from their Teutonic forerunners in a couple of notable ways. Whereas the 1940s version sought to conceal, even from their own people, the nature of their deeds, while the philistines of today are actually recording it on go-pro and streaming it, for the vicarious thrill of their ordinary citizenry, from Gaza to Lakemba they’re actually cheering this.

However the current lot are purely destructive, they’re incapable of building anything.
Had the 1940s crew been in charge of Gaza for 18 yrs it’d now be a showpiece of organisation & civic efficiency.

They are pure evil. Deserving of turning into red mist.

only reason I mentioned a certain Faith Group was because I didnt like the idea of turning human Beings into “Pink Mist” regardless of their Faith or Cultural affiliations … and even then I wasn’t rude or belligerent.

Mark, if you are genuinely not Bird, I might give you the benefit of the doubt re ‘pink mist’, which is an horrific concept if taken literally. Regarding Israel though, you appear tone deaf, hopeless at symbolic nuance, and oblivious to context or moral clarity. Something of a blunderbuss? Fools walk in etc.

Just my view maybe.

I’ve no problem turning any Hamas or Hamas enabler into pink mist.
Sick to death I am, of assholes who cheered & danced when learning Margaret Thatcher has passed, then getting all stern that I mustn’t exhibit any glee at Bin Laden being exterminated. Ending of any human life is a tragic/sad/something event & must not be celebrated.

Were I Marky Bolton’s “take ’em out the back & flog ’em” type, then that is the moment when I’d have cut loose with some of these dreadlocked pasty beta uni-arts types.
They actually danced & cheered upon hearing Mrs. Thatcher had died. They actually engaged in ‘this is not to be a celebration’ emotional blackmail when Bin Laden was neutralised.

I’ll applaud turning Hamas into pink mist, & I do not apologise for it, nor do I seek the approval of some flog journalist or arts student or placard waving commo.

Turn the bastards into pink mist, the sooner the better, the mistier the better.
May the IDF prevail mightily.

White House Accidentally Hands Out Plastic Baggies Of Cocaine To Trick-Or-Treaters

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Parents are encouraged to check their child’s Halloween candy haul every year to keep an eye out for razor blades and granola bars, but they didn’t have to worry about the treats they’d get from the White House — until now.

According to sources, the President and First Lady accidentally handed out fresh-cut bags of cocaine to trick-or-treaters at the South Lawn of the White House instead of candy, endangering both children and poll numbers.

“Dagnabbit, I grabbed the wrong basket again,” said a frustrated Biden upon realizing he had already distributed his son Hunter’s stash to the entire neighborhood.

“Ah well… anyway, prick or preet, kids, have fun!”

According to eyewitnesses, Dr. Jill Biden then sprang into action. “Oh no, Joe! Crack is bad for kids!” she said. “I know that because I am a real doctor!”

She then began chasing down children and swatting baskets out of their hands, leaving dozens of traumatized children crying on the White House lawn.

The weeping children attracted the attention of Secret Service agents who proceeded to seal off exits and haphazardly search through bags of Halloween candy.

“Whoa whoa whoa, not so fast, pal!” shouted Special Agent Vince Stallone as he slammed a 7-year-old kid in a Mandalorian costume to the ground. “This is some top-shelf blow, kid. You’re going to jail!”

At publishing time, the Secret Service had confirmed they have no leads as to where the cocaine may have come from.

King’s English and Cockney replaced by three new accents, study finds

Britons depart from overtly class-based post-war speech epitomised by either clipped vowels or working-class dialects

The King’s English and Cockney have all but disappeared among young people as three new accents have emerged, research has found.

Voice analysis found the two accents had been overtaken by standard southern British English (SSBE), as articulated by Ellie Goulding; estuary English, as spoken by Adele; and multicultural London English, as voiced by Stormzy.

The research, using computer algorithms to analyse voices of adults aged 18 to 33, shows how far Britons have departed from the overtly class-based post-war accents epitomised by the clipped vowels in the King’s English of BBC presenters and the working-class cockney of film stars such as Michael Caine and Barbara Windsor.

The voices of nearly 200 people from across south-east England and London were recorded, then analysed by a specially designed algorithm that listened to how they spoke and grouped them by how similarly they pronounced vowels in different words.

Around 26 per cent of those surveyed by the researchers at Essex University spoke estuary English, which has similarities with Cockney, but is more muted and closer to received pronunciation, euphemistically known as the King’s or Queen’s English.

Estuary English speakers pronounce words such as “house” more like “hahs”, but not as extreme as found in Cockney.

The accent, so named because it has extended out along the Thames estuary, is spoken across the South East, but particularly in parts of Essex, and is similar to how Stacey Dooley, Olly Murs, Adele or Jay Blades speak.

SSBE, which is typically perceived as a prestigious, “standard”- or “neutral”-sounding accent, is a modern, updated version of received pronunciation.

SSBE speakers comprised 49 per cent of the sample analysed by the researchers, led by Dr Amanda Cole, a lecturer in language and linguistics at Essex University.

Such speakers tend to say words like “goose” with the tongue further forward in the mouth – sounding a bit more like “geese” – than what would be expected in received pronunciation, according to Dr Cole.

This drift away from received pronunciation was evident in the changing accent of Queen Elizabeth II over her lifetime, spanning the changing diction of the nation from post-war Britain to the birth of the 21st century.

A feature of SSBE and estuary English is the glottal stop. In estuary English, it replaces the ‘t’ in wa’er (water), be’er (better) and ci’y (city). But in SSBE, it only replaces the ‘t’ at the end of the word, such as wha’ (what), or bu’ (but).

Speakers include Ellie Goulding, Josh Widdicombe and potentially even Prince Harry.

Around 25 per cent of the young people used the third accent, multicultural London English.

They pronounced the vowels in words like bate and boat with the tongue starting at a point higher up in the mouth compared to standard southern British English, so that they might sound a little bit more like “beht” and “boht”.

They tended to be Asian British or black British and many were from London, but there were also people from across the South East who spoke with elements of a multicultural London English accent.

England footballer Bukayo Saka, and rappers Little Simz and Stormzy are examples of people with these features in their speech.

However, gone from among those surveyed was any measurable evidence of the King’s English or Cockney. “Cockney, the working-class London accent of Barbara Windsor or Michael Caine, and received pronunciation, which some call Queen’s English (or perhaps now King’s English), did not appear in our analysis,” said Dr Cole.

“That’s not to say that there aren’t any young people in our sample who might have spoken these accents but, if so, they were too few and far between for the algorithm to identify.”

Dr Cole said the shift in accents was a result of increased movement of people, resulting in greater contact between dialects, the growth of universal education and literacy and people buying into the idea that there is a “correct” or “standard” way of speaking.

“Standard southern British English and estuary English are not as different from each other as Cockney and received pronunciation. This could be evidence of what’s known as dialect levelling – where young people from different parts of the region now speak more similarly to each other than their parents or grandparents did,” she said.

Speakers of standard southern British English and estuary English generally tended to be white British, and women were more likely than men to speak the former, which is closer to the King’s English.

‘Women chastised for accents’

“It’s not surprising to find that women speak in a more socially prestigious way, as much previous research suggests women are often more chastised for speaking with regional accents than men,” said Dr Cole.

Estuary English emerged as a phenomenon in the 1980s and 1990s, with politicians such as Gillian Shephard, then education secretary, bemoaning its spread as evidence of a decline in speaking standards from the King’s English.

“Attempting to prevent accents from changing is like sweeping back an incoming tide with a broom – fruitless and defying nature.

Instead, we should embrace linguistic diversity, work to combat accentism (discrimination based on a person’s accent), and accept that accents will always continue to change,” said Dr Cole.

Police launch probe into officer seen tearing down posters of Israeli hostages in Manchester as force says it ‘regrets any offence caused’ after Met Police backlash

Police have launched an investigation after an officer was seen tearing down posters of Israeli hostages in Manchester, announcing it ‘regrets any offence caused’.

Footage shared online showed the lone officer tearing down fliers of those kidnapped by Hamas on October 7, seemingly ignoring calls from distressed passers by, questioning what they are doing.

One woman is heard shouting ‘Why is the police taking this down? Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me’, receiving no response while walking down Bury Road in Prestwich.

The force has now confirmed an investigation is underway and will work to ensure posters can continue to be displayed.

Assistant Chief Constable Wasim Chaudhry told MailOnline: ‘We know the ongoing conflict in the Middle East is causing great distress to members of Greater Manchester’s Jewish community and our thoughts remain with them at this time.

‘The force has increased engagement with representatives, including the Community Security Trust, to ensure that they feel heard and understood by GMP and to ensure their safety within the city and our neighbourhoods.

‘We share concerns raised regarding the removal of posters in the North Manchester area and can confirm that an investigation is underway.

‘The action taken last night, in response to complaints, is contrary to guidance that the force had already issued to staff in relation to flyposting. We will continue to work with local authorities and the community to ensure posters can be displayed. We regret any offence caused.’

It comes a day after two Met Police officers were seen tearing down fliers, revealing those who were taken from Israel during Hamas barbaric October 7 attack, outside of Cullimore Chemist in Edgware, North London.

Some locals in the area, which is home to a sizeable Jewish community, have slammed the officers over their ‘disgusting actions’. But the Met has insisted they were merely taking steps to ‘stop issues escalating’ and to ‘avoid community tension’.

In a statement, the force said that the missing posters were hung in ‘retaliation’ for comments about the Israel-Hamas war – including branding Israel and the IDF as ‘filthy animals’ – that were posted online by an alleged member of the chemist’s staff. Police said a printout of the remarks was also hung outside the shop.

Officers removed the posters and the comments because they have a ‘responsibility to take reasonable steps to stop issues escalating and to avoid any further increase in community tension,’ the force said.

Investigators are also reviewing the alleged staff member’s social media post for possible offences.

London without Cockney? Might as well nuke the place.

This dickhead’s account should be nuked.

This is what the actual witnesses said. General Clay wasn’t there. He was a military governor in Germany later on. Yes from wiki but it’s also 6:24 AM.

For the existence of a lampshade from human skin there are two credible witnesses who made statements under oath: Dr. Gustav Wegerer, an Austrian political prisoner and kapo of the infirmary, and Josef Ackermann, a political prisoner and secretary of the camp doctor Waldemar Hoven.

Wegerer explained: “One day at about the same time [1941] the camp commandant Koch and the SS doctor Müller appeared at my work command in the infirmary. At that time a lampshade made of tanned, tattooed human skin was being prepared for Koch. Koch and Müller chose among the available tanned, parchment-thin human skins the ones with suitable tattoos, for the lampshade. From the conversation between the two it became clear that the previously chosen motifs had not pleased Ilse Koch. The lampshade was then completed and handed over to Koch.” Dr. Hans Mueller, later SS physician in Obersalzberg, was a pathologist in Buchenwald from March 1941 to April 1942. The time period can be defined more precisely through Ackermann’s statement.
Ackermann delivered the lamp, as he testified in 1950 in court. The lamp-foot was made from a human foot and shinbone; on the shade one saw tattoos and even nipples. On the occasion of the birthday party of Koch [August 1941] he was tasked by the camp doctor Hoven to bring the lamp to the Kochs’ villa. This he did. One of the party guests told him later that the presentation of the lamp had been a huge success. The lamp immediately disappeared after the SS leadership learned about it. Ilse Koch could not be accused of making the lampshade.[1]
Five other witnesses testified that they had seen or knew of the existence of human skin artefacts in the possession of Ilse Koch.[12]

Interesting that Qantas calls its tickets a “bundle of rights”.

It is how property is analysed by lawyers.

When you own something, that confers exclusive rights, and this goes back to Roman law. The right to destroy, sell or use the item, etc.

Keep in mind besides the physical tickets you may or may not have, your property if it is property at all is a chose in action (intangible). They may have a strategic legal reason to not want to say it is a contract for a specific service – as if specific performance cannot be enforced then they would have to pay damages.

What’s really wrong is QANTAS are being unreasonable and incredibly one sided. It’s unlikely their claims would even pass scrutiny under the ACL or Contracts Review Act(s).

From the old fred…

Why did Sinc never boot the Numbers lunatic.”

A good question. I have no doubt Numbers lurks here, and that he’s tried to post here but Dover has binned him. We must thank Dover for this.

Numbers has appeared recently on C.L’s blog, under a banal ‘nom de plume’. I’m pretty sure it is him. His continued animus towards Israel and Jews is shocking, I remember his outrage after the terrible massacre of Muslims in Christchurch in 2019, when over fifty men and boys were murdered, yet he shows no such such outrage at the events of 7 October 2023, when over 1400 Jews were murdered, and over 230 kidnapped into Gaza. He probably thinks we Jews had it coming.

He remains a complete hypocrite, like the rest of his comrades on the left. All of them used anti-Zionism as a mask for Jew hatred, but I’ve long known that their quaint ‘anti-Zionism’ has simply been an mask for their unadulterated Jew hatred. Since 7 October, this Jew hatred has now been exposed.

I think at the end of the day it can be safely said that Numbers is a particularly nasty individual. His absence from Dover’s site is no loss and we must keep it that way.

EV Driving Range Is Even Worse Than Advertised (31 Oct)

Electric vehicle manufacturers have exaggerated the driving range of their vehicles, sometimes by more than twice as much as advertised, according to a study by SAE International.

On average, electric vehicles fall short of their advertised range by 12.5%, according to the Society of Automotive Engineers study. The study included 21 different brands, and revealed that EV manufacturers as a whole inflate the range of their vehicles far beyond their actual capabilities.

Tesla seems to be inflating the numbers far more than other brands. The range displayed on Tesla vehicle’s dashboard is 26% lower than the car’s ability. Tesla even created a secret team to suppress thousands of driving range complaints online. Tesla rigged the dashboard readouts in its electric cars to provide “rosy” projections of how far owners can drive before needing to recharge, a source told Reuters.

Age of the battery probably doesn’t help since batteries lose capacity over time. There’s also a fair bit in the story about the effect of temperature, quite big drops in range for cold and hot weather. Maybe Elon should air condition the planet to a nice 25 C or so to optimize EV ranges.

General Motors realizes it made a terrible mistake.

GM Backtracks on Joe Biden’s Green Energy Agenda After Investing Billions (31 Oct)

After investing billions to adhere to President Joe Biden’s green energy agenda, General Motors (GM) is backtracking on all fronts when it comes to Electric Vehicles (EVs).

GM CEO Mary Barra, a close ally of Biden’s, has said the automaker will not begin to attempt to produce 400,000 EVs from 2022 through mid-2024 as initially planned. GM is also delaying retooling its plant in Orion Township, Michigan, to build EV pickup trucks. … In addition, GM executives are having to delay launching a number of their EV models such as the Chevrolet Equinox EV, the Chevrolet Silverado EV RST, and the GMC Sierra EV Denali.

“The American public is not ready for the broad adoption of electric vehicles. There are maybe 10 percent to 12 percent of people who really want an electric vehicle … the remainder still want internal combustion,” former GM executive Bob Lutz said this week.

Lutz has read the room sufficiently to dare say that. A year ago he wouldn’t’ve, as he’d be crushed. Maybe GM can disentangle themselves from the green fiasco enough to survive. Whatever happens I suspect they’ll have to go through Chapter 11 at some stage, after the masses of dosh they sank into this stupid mess.

Yet history is replete with evidence that civilians voluntarily flee war zones, north gaza is a war zone and unlike about any previous conflict Israel is giving you advance notice to skedaddle.

This criminal harm to civilians is intolerable and the obvious needs to be stated again and again – not everything is allowed in war, including war on Hamas,” the statement read.

This is war. Yes. And what is NOT allowed is for combatants to hide behind civilians, using them (and hostages) as human shields. That is what Hamas does, and it is CRIMINAL and not encompassed by the rules (such as they are) of war.

Hamas’ figures on deaths are not yet substantiated. They have form in exaggerating numbers killed and injured. The first casualty of war is truth: remember that re Hamas in particular, for lying is part of their culture. It comes easily to them.

Berlin police apologize for removing posters of Israeli hostages

The Berlin police issued an apology after recordings showed police officers removing posters with pictures of Israeli hostages in Gaza.

The Berlin police issued an apology this evening (Tuesday) after police officers in the German capital were recorded removing posters with pictures of Israeli hostages in Gaza.

The case blew up after the police responded to a request from Bild and Channel 12 News reporter, Antonia Yamin that “the posters were removed because they were hung illegally.”

Many in Berlin were furious with the police and wondered if the police did not have anything more urgent to do when there are threats from antisemites against Jews around the country.

The police later wrote: “Regardless of the fact that the legal evaluation of the posters is still pending, we can understand that the removal of the posters hurt feelings, especially of relatives and friends of the hostages, as well as members of the Israeli/Jewish community. This affects us greatly and we regret it.”

Israel confirms IDF airstrike on Gaza refugee camp that killed Hamas commander Ibrahim Biari

Israel Defence Forces spokesman Daniel Hagari has confirmed an airstrike on a Gaza refugee camp which he said “eliminated terrorist murderer Ibrahim Biari”.

Israel has confirmed an Israeli Defence Forces airstrike on Gaza’s largest refugee camp has killed a senior Hamas commander.

IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari said Hamas’ “main leader of combat” Ibrahim Biari was killed in Tuesday night’s strike on the Jabalia refugee camp.

At a press conference after the attack, Hagari told reporters that “many other terrorists” who were with Biari at the time were also killed.

“This evening we managed to eliminate the terrorist, the murderer Ibrahim Biari,” he said.

“He was the main leader of combat since the entrance of the forces into north Gaza and was also involved in the October 7 massacre.

“During his elimination many terrorists were killed. Terrorists who were with him in that building as well as underground beneath this building.”

Hagari said infrastructure used by Hamas to carry out terrorist activities was destroyed in the strike.

“The targeting of the other building lead to the collapse of other buildings because there was very extensive infrastructure there,” the IDF spokesman said.

“The purpose of that infrastructure was to carry out terrorist activities against our forces.

“The infrastructure collapsed and many terrorists were killed. The Hamas terrorists continue to use the civilian population as shield intentionally and in a very cruel and brutal manner.”

United States made it ‘perfectly clear’ it supports Israel’s efforts to ‘destroy’ Hamas

Former foreign minister Alexander Downer says Americans were “completely right” to throw all of their weight behind the Israelis following the October 7 massacre of Israelis by Hamas.

Earlier this month, Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel after dozens of gunmen from the Palestinian militant group infiltrated southern Israel from the Gaza Strip and fired thousands of rockets as far north as Tel Aviv.

Mr Downer praised President Biden’s “forthright and constructive” decisions following the massacre of Israelis in early October.

“Behaviour like that is intolerable, and the Americans have made it perfectly clear they support the Israelis’ efforts to destroy Hamas,” Mr Downer told Sky News Australia.

“An organisation like that has to be destroyed like ISIS was destroyed.”

AFR – Israel blames reported civilian deaths from air strike on Hamas

Gus McCubbing

An Israeli air strike is reported to have killed dozens of people at Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, but an Israeli spokesman has blamed any civilian deaths on Hamas.

Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry said at least 50 people were killed, while the Palestinian Red Crescent said its staff had recovered 25 dead civilians.

Israel Defence Forces spokesman Jonathan Conricus confirmed a strike was made to kill a Hamas commander but blamed any deaths from the attack on Hamas for using civilians as “human shields”.

“There was no strike on a refugee camp. We targeted a Hamas combatant who was hiding in a tunnel complex under civilian houses underneath the street,” Conricus told ABC.

“I understand there are reports of civilian casualties … I want to emphasise that the civilians are not out target.

“We focus on Hamas and it is because of Hamas practices using children and women and children as human shields that there are casualties because we strike militants.”

I am not a fan of definitive statements like ‘techtonic shift’ or ‘polarisation’ but I believe the arrival of the current Green/Liar Government has led to a very visible polarisation between the minority left and the majority citizens.

Most significant is that the Voice obscenity along with recently permitted moslem excesses and media contempt for public opinion have horrified the majority. The citizens have found a rare voice and the Left had better wattch out.

Albanese and his disgusting dyke are too stupid to realise that the citizens are the Liars only bulwark against Green encroachment. Drive enough citizens to the right and the Greens will eat Liar seats. This has, and is happening in QLD.

Albanese is too arrogant to realise the true negative meaning of the voice outcome. It wasn’t a true 60-40 split. Probably 40% of the yessers were just nice folks with no understanding of the ideology involved but who just wanted to do something good for aboriginals. That reality reverses the cry of the arrogant commentators that the Noers based their vote on ignorance. There is no comfort there for on-going Liar radicalism.

I believe that history will show that his refusal to support Israel will be the Liars death play. Albanese has never understood Australia. For him governing just requires bullying, just like in the local Party branch brawls.

I stick my neck out and claim that we are witnessing the beginning of the Liars’ demise. Owning their corrupt union super funds won’t save them.

VicPlod news, Herald Sun:

Police say they are powerless to stop pro-Palestinian protesters from flying Hamas flags, chanting anti-Semitic slogans and comparing Jews to Nazis.

As concerns escalate over a spate of recent rallies, prominent Jewish leaders accused the force of continuing to ignore race hate laws.

Premier Jacinta Allan became emotional on Monday while talking about tensions in the Middle East and decrying hate speech of any type, but Deputy Commissioner Neil Paterson said protesters could not be stopped from unfurling hateful banners and performing anti-Semitic rallying cries.

I thought in the dying days of Premier Phuckface’s reign, there were laws passed which made this illegal?

It comes after pro-Palestinian supporters displayed a flag in Collins Place describing a local Jewish company as “war criminals” and protesters marched on Parliament House holding an image of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s face morphing into Hitler.

“Police are aware of recent chants and banners at these rallies, and while they might be offensive to some, unfortunately they do not always constitute a criminal offence,” Mr Paterson said.

“Police can only act within the confines of the law and government has already acknowledged they will be reviewing the relevant legislation. When policing rallies our priority is to keep the peace and ensure the event is safe for those attending and the broader community.”

Pretty sure inciting the death of others is a rather grievous offence.

Community leaders met with Police Minister Anthony Carbines and Mr Paterson last week in a bid to encourage a stronger response to neo-Nazi and anti-Israel protests.

However, a legal letter seen by the Herald Sun, responding to a formal complaint about police inaction at an October 10 rally, Victoria Police’s legal department acting director Stephen Payne said the police response so far had been appropriate.

Seems like sitting on your arse allowing things to escalate is the course of action. Make no mistake, lives will be taken in due course on these shores.

And he implied police would act only where there was a threat of violence or property damage.

“The police role at a crowd control situation needs to consider the rights of members of the public to exercise free speech, peaceful assembly, protest and industrial action,” he said.

Which the anti forced vaccine crowd tried to do. With differing police action.

“However, police also aim to provide a safe, orderly and secure society, so when the actions of those taking part in such activities either become unlawful or infringe upon the rights of others, police will take appropriate action to prevent conduct involving violence to people or damage to property. This can include making arrests.

“I am satisfied that the actions of Victoria Police, which you raise, have been consistent with these considerations.”

The rest of us, particularly those of the Jewish faith, can rest easy now.

Police face accusations they are in breach of a 2008 agreement with a Jewish victim of crime that obliged all members “to uphold and enforce the rights of all people in Victoria not to be subjected to unlawful discrimination on grounds such as race, religion, sexual preference or gender”.

“We know from history that Australia is not immune from global acts of terrorism tied to Palestinian nationalism, as evidenced by the twin bombings of Israeli and Jewish institutions in Sydney in 1982,” the victim said.

“Waiting for further acts of terrorism to occur before responding is reckless and irresponsible. It is an abrogation of duty to protect the community and a dismissal of state and federal laws that make incitement unlawful.

“If flying Hamas flags and chanting ‘kill the Jews’ is not inciting hatred, what will it take for police to act?”

And if someone says “Gas Hamas” what would the penalty be?

Jewish leaders are calling on police to disperse protesters where there has been a breach of the peace, rather than simply moving them on.

Jewish Community Council of Victoria president Daniel Aghion said police did not have the powers they needed to protect the community.

“Hate speech should not be treated as any less, merely because it lacks an immediate threat to person or property,” he said.

“The state government has previously committed to reforming this area of law. Current events show the urgent need for that reform.

I would think Mr Aghion that they do have the required powers to protect the community. They just don’t want to.

Anti-Defamation Commission chairman Dvir Abramovich said the current approach would “end in tragedy”.

This cannot be allowed to continue, and we should not wait for someone to be violently beaten or killed before police officers step in,” he said.

“Freedom of expression does not mean the freedom to threaten, terrorise and incite to violence and I urge Victoria Police to use every tool in their legal arsenal to ensure that racists and white supremacists do not get a free pass.”

Victoria’s racial and religious vilification laws have long been criticised as setting too high a threshold for the prosecution of racists.

So there you have it. One can only conclude that police are on orders from on high that you stand down when shit like this happens rather than enforce the law. Wouldn’t have thought Jacinta Allen is off to the best of starts.

As Against Australian Labor Foreign Minister Senator Penny Wong

Keir Starmer: Now is not the time for a ceasefire in Gaza

UK Labour Party leader warns a ceasefire right now would leave Hamas with the ability to repeat the October 7 massacre.

Keir Starmer, the leader of the British Labour Party, rejected calls to impose a ceasefire on Israel as it retaliates against Hamas for the massacre of over 1,400 Israelis on October 7.

“While I understand calls for a ceasefire at this stage, I do not believe that it is the correct position now for two reasons,” Starmer said. “One, because a ceasefire always freezes any conflict in the state where it currently lies. And as we speak, that would leave Hamas with the infrastructure and the capability to carry out the sort of attack on October the 7th.”

What I mean to say is: Commies don’t care about being right or wrong with regards to economics.

They’re not really trying to deliver a worker’s paradise.

They’re trying to use a totalitarian state to project their insecurities onto us all. We may never exceed the low level of happiness their miserable, middling minds are capable of experiencing.

Yet, they’re still obsessed with material wealth, but were wrong all along.

So they tried to attack economics with “happiness” a couple of decades ago. That failed so they went for culture wars, DEI and intersectionality.

The most unhappy people of all, incapable of understanding how production occurs, criticising productivity as destroying happiness. Then moving onto radical theories so depressing they actually increase the suicide rates in those they are meant to help.

Their historical contribution to human endeavour is witness to their own personal failures, incompetence and lack of capacity.

Academics who pander to Hamas are useful idiots, says universities minister
Members of the University College Union approved a motion calling for a ‘mass uprising’ against Israel – Paywalled

By Louisa Clarence-Smith, EDUCATION EDITOR and Ewan Somerville

Academics are acting as “useful idiots” for Hamas, the universities minister has said.

Robert Halfon criticised lecturers on Tuesday after it emerged that members of the University College Union (UCU) at one institution in London had approved a motion calling for a “mass uprising” against Israel and “intifada until victory”.

Mr Halfon said the motion approved by academics at University College London was “appalling”.

He added: “A fifth column of Hamas’s ‘useful idiots’ [is] far too prevalent at some of our universities.”

Commenting on the UCU motion, the Union of Jewish Students, said: “This is a horrific incitement to violence and terror.”

The university has called on its local UCU branch to withdraw the statement, saying “language such as this has no place on a university campus”.

The controversy comes as King’s College London became embroiled in a row with its students over its failure to condemn Hamas, a proscribed terror group, for eleven days after the war broke out on Oct 7.

The university offered a “message of support” to students over “events in the Middle East” on Oct 9, but this failed to mention Hamas, and it was not until Oct 18 that the vice-chancellor Shitij Kapur condemned the “appalling attacks by Hamas”.

However, during these eleven days, academics at King’s College expressed public support for controversial pro-Palestine chants, symbols and protests.

King’s College’s branch of the Left-wing University and College Union, wrote a letter calling for such gestures – which Suella Braverman, the Home Secretary, has warned could amount to hate crimes – to be protected as “academic freedom, freedom of expression and freedom of protest”.

Their 700-word letter failed to make a single mention of Hamas.

Meanwhile, Dr Ingrid Kvangraven, a lecturer in international development at the university, retweeted a post on Twitter claiming that “what is happening today is rooted in over a century of British complicity with the colonisation of Palestine”.

Threat to Jewish students

In other posts, Dr Kvangraven celebrated pro-Palestine rallies and appeared to dismiss the concerns of Jewish students by writing that “apparently even trying to explain the political context of Hamas is a perceived threat to Jewish students”.

Aurele Tobelem, president of King’s College’s Israel Society, said he felt “frustration at the way in which pro-Palestinian voices on campus have seized control of the narrative on the Israel-Gaza issue” while the university “remained silent for more than a week”.

A King’s College spokesman said its “first priority is always the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff” and the dean and head of security had met with societies to provide support.

The spokesman added: “Any form of racism, antisemitism, Islamophobia, abuse, violence or harassment is unacceptable and has no place at King’s and we take reports of any such behaviour very seriously.”

In a statement, University College London’s UCU said it “explicitly condemns all attacks on civilians, including the attacks by Hamas on Oct 7 and subsequent assaults by the Israeli Defence Forces on Gaza and in the West Bank. We call for the immediate release of all hostages and an immediate ceasefire to prevent further casualties. This is our branch policy.”

Meanwhile, UCU accused Mr Halfon of using language which “adds to a hostile environment for academic freedom on campus”

The union said: “When cases of Antisemitism and Islamophobia are on the rise, Government ministers should think long and hard before calling university staff ‘a fifth column’.”

From the Comments

– Hey Metropolitan Police – policing by consent means the consent of the law abiding citizens, not the criminals.

Shoplifting is effectively decriminalised, rapes, burglaries & assaults are not investigated, organised criminal organisations like XR & JSO operate with police protection.

Now a bunch of idiot lefties actually put their name on a public document inciting violence and no is action taken.

You have become woke & soft, do your job for goodness sake or very soon the consent of law abiding citizens will be withdrawn. EDITED

– There is no such thing as islamophobia – there is simply a rational observation that most of the West’s problems these days are caused by Muslims.

– Many academics suffer from having never in their lives left school, knowing nothing of life outside the schoolroom and never experiencing real life. They now indoctrinate their students in the same way their lecturers indoctrinated them. Many are Marxist/Leninist/Trotskyist without realising that theirs is a failed dogma, yet to achieve even a glimpse of success. But then, how would they know that, being still at school?

– As a former student of KCL I am appalled but not surprised by this torrent of antisemitism wrapped in academic clothing.

There is and never shall be any historical, colonial, political, cultural or intellectual context for 7th. October.

Evil needs no justification or rationale to vent itself on the innocent: rape, mutilation, baby killing and incineration spring from the Satanic Verses!

Former Pittsburgh Penguins player dies after his throat was slashed by a skate in a ‘freak accident’ during a game

Adam Johnson, a US ice-hockey player, died after a skate cut his throat during a cup match on Saturday. He was 29.

Johnson was playing for the UK’s Nottingham Panthers against the Sheffield Steelers when the skate blade struck him in the neck.

Matt Petgrave ‘absolutely intended’ clash with Adam Johnson in ice hockey death, says ex-NHL star

Former player Sean Avery refused to agree with Fox News host Jesse Watters who suggested the incident looked like a ‘homicide’

Those closest to the horror have described the incident as a “freak accident”. Police launched an immediate investigation into the death, which left hundreds of spectators in tears at the Utilita Arena.

Canadian Avery played left wing for the Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers and Dallas Stars during his 12-year career and his behaviour was often controversial, having led the league in penalty minutes twice, during the 2003-04 and 2005-06 seasons.

As Fox host Jesse Watters suggested Petgrave was a “dirty” player and said it looked like “homicide”, Avery said: “That’s a pretty dangerous word to be throwing around. I’ve watched it, it’s terrible, it’s tough to watch.

“Did this kid make a move that was very unorthodox? Do I think he was trying to make contact of some sort? Absolutely.”

Since the tragedy, teams in England have announced plans to make wearing neck guards mandatory.

“I saw the hit,” Avery said. “I saw the leg move. It shouldn’t have been where it was. It’s terrible. I can’t even watch the video back.”

Avery suggested the sport should reconsider the titanium thin blades that are currently on the bottom of players’ skates. He added: “Do I think he woke up and said I’m going to murder somebody today? No.”

Chris Therien, another Canadian former professional, also wrote on X that he was “literally appalled and sickened by what I saw”.

South Yorkshire Police, however, have urged the public against attempting to speculate around Johnson’s death. David Simms, the match announcer, said it had been “a horrible night at the arena; tragic”.

As The New Daily notches up another seven-figure loss, it’s emerged that APRA has been asked to check if the website’s union-linked owners are abiding by rules meant to prevent super fund members’ cash being frittered away.

Competing with the Grauniad, Fauxfacts and the rest of the lefty MSM and I’m not at all surprised they’re bleeding out. Lefties don’t like paying for anything either, especially when they have free propaganda from ABC and SBS to enjoy.

Bruce Lehrmann fires back at Brittany Higgins after being named as Toowoomba rape accused

By joanna panagopoulos

Former Liberal staffer Bruce Lehrmann says Brittany Higgins has a “total disregard” for how the justice system works and warned his team would be “considering their position’’ after she came out in support of a Queensland woman who has accused Mr Lehrmann of sexually assaulting her.

Mr Lehrmann, who was accused of raping Ms Higgins in Parliament House in 2021, was last week named as the “high-profile man” charged with the rape of a young woman he met in a Toowoomba strip club after the Supreme Court of Queensland lifted a suppression order that had protected his identity.

The 28-year-old woman alleges she Googled Ms Higgins’ rape case and recognised Mr Lehrmann as the person she had unprotected sex with her without consent in October 2021.

Mr Lehrmann had introduced himself as “Bryce” when they met at the club, she told police, which was just a few weeks after he first appeared in court over allegations he raped Ms Higgins.

She said they had consensual sex the night they met but claims he failed to wear a condom without the permission when they had sex twice the next morning, which is considered sexual assault under Queensland law.

He is expected to plead not guilty to the charges.

Following the lifting of a non-publication order on the Toowoomba case last week, Ms Higgins posted on social media last saying her “heart broke” for the young woman at the centre of it.

“When I first found out about the alleged assault my heart broke for you,” she wrote on Instagram.

“To know that this has allegedly taken place while he was out on bail in 2021 is devastating. I note the fact you’ve decided to come forward despite seeing the horrific championing of this individual in the media all year. I am so, so sorry this allegedly happened to you.”

Ms Higgins clarified Mr Lehrmann was “charged with two counts of raping a woman in October 2021, with the case working its way through early committal proceedings at Toowoomba magistrates court since January”.

“He has not yet been committed to stand trial,” she wrote.

Ahead of a court mention for the Toowoomba matter on Wednesday, Mr Lehrmann put out a statement lashing Ms Higgins for her comments.

“The non-publication order we sought unsuccessfully last week would have ensured the subsequent prejudicial and often inaccurate reporting would not have occurred,” he said in the statement.

“In particular we have seen Ms Brittany Higgins blatantly prejudice a person’s right to a fair trial with a total disregard for how our justice system rightly operates with the presumption of innocence at its core.

“Her statement was public and widely reported.

“As such my team will be considering our position and the relief the justice system rightly has available to us now.

“The recent ACT Criminal Justice Inquiry and its findings should not be forgotten. The only verdict of any substance that’s been handed down this year was that of Mr Sofronoff’s condemnation of the behaviour of the DPP and Mr Shane Drumgold,” he said.

He will not be required to appear at court on Wednesday.

OK but how do know those 4 weren’t as frustrated at what happened like the cops I’m acquainted with?

Then why are they still in the gang?

Frustrated? They should be appalled and thoroughly disgusted.

Not sorry and no sympathy.

All that Israel needed to have done, but ever refuses to do, is to leave the occupied territories and stop harassing the Palestinians – like the blockade of Gaza since 2005. Please leave the Palestinians alone – and all will fix itself. But no – Israel just can’t commit.

Academics are acting as “useful idiots” for Hamas, the universities minister has said.

In Breaking News: Academics are like baby chickens, acting like “useful idiots” for any cause that walks in front of them.

(And, while we’re at it, someone rejoicing under the title ‘universities minister’ should consider the wisdom of commenting on ‘incomprehensibly stupid’.)

Yesterday I saw a man in a Hannibal Lecter mask in the local shopping centre

You can say what you like about Hannibal but he really knew his women’s fashions and perfumes.

About as credible as Abbie Chatfield’s attention seeking: I was horrifically raped but I refuse to name the man or report him to the police because he was young and basically did not have affirmative consent training.

The fact that she has not been “cancelled” for this nonsense shows that rape has been weaponised against men. No one actually cares about rapists being enabled (which I therefore doubt it happened).

Having just stolen a hospital the ACT now wants to kill grannies.

ACT’s green light to nurses on euthanasia (Paywallian)

Nurses, social workers and counsellors will for the first time be able to initiate discussions about voluntary assisted dying as an option for terminally ill people in the ACT.

Perhaps ACT pollies could lead by example?

Zelenskyy Official Admits, “People are stealing like there’s no tomorrow.”

October 31, 2023 – Sundance

The only people who deny financial corruption in Ukraine are those who benefit from it.

That group includes U.S. politicians who gleefully send billions of taxpayer funds into the country of Ukraine while capturing returns in the process.

U.S. advisors and consultants, along with private sector contractors and multinational corporations like Blackrock, are all beneficiaries of the vast sums of money being dumped into Ukraine. We all know this. So, on one hand it is simple to see why the Ukraine government officials would use the same opportunity to enrich themselves

After all, U.S. taxpayers are not only buying bombs, missiles and bullets with the money sent to Ukraine, we are also paying the salaries and pensions of the same government officials who are skimming the proceeds. The corruption is everywhere, and every entity is participating in the graft, in one form or another.

Zelenskyy’s wife goes shopping in Paris during the war. Where exactly do politicians think she is getting the money to spend on glitzy holiday vacations? Everybody knows exactly what is going on. The glaringly obvious theft is a large part of the contention the American people have with this insufferable effort to fund Ukraine.

During a lengthy Time Magazine article,

one of the close and key advisors to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy admitted that the corrupt stealing of US funds is widespread.

In addition to the theft, the overall tone of the Time Magazine article paints the war effort in Ukraine, what we have always called ‘World War Reddit’ for its mostly theatrical value, as a lost cause.

This is not surprising; however, for Time Mag to make such an admission, that does indicate a narrative shift in the overall effort.

And for those who Say BUT what is in the Time Article

There was also a synagogue in Bankstown that was destroyed by fire in 1991. It was an amazing building shaped like the Star of David. Given that by 1991 there was a significant local immigrant population, perhaps it is no surprise who might have been responsible.
