War hasn’t been proportionate since the mid 19th C

If at all.

Warrior kings have always struck at neighbours when they are weak or distracted, or appear to be so. Vice versa, a response has very rarely been anything near proportionate – and with very good reason. Leave an enemy standing, especially when standing on something you wouldn’t mind having, is complete folly.

Exhibit A – the constantly changing boundaries of Europe over millennia.

The Husics of this world need reminding that this is not a football game.

Electrostatic Accelerated Electrons Within Information Horizons Exert Bidirectional Propellant-Less Thrust

Authors: Ankur S. Bhatt, F. M. Becker

During internal discharge (electrical breakdown or field emission transmission), thin symmetric capacitors accelerate slightly towards the anode; an anomaly that does not appear obvious using standard physics. The effect can be predicted by core concepts of a model called quantised inertia (MiHsC) which assumes inertia of accelerated particles, such as electrons, is caused by Unruh radiation. This discrete Unruh radiation etc..

If the first few lines of umitigated sludge weren’t enough, we again have to read about Unruh radiation. An utterly theoretical, unproven BS idea, just like the aether and the phlogiston.

This crap has been around since the mid 1970s. Never detected or proven.
Just like String Theory, which dates even further back to the 1950s.. or Cold Fusion.. or Quantum Computing.. or standard Fusion.

Yes, I was thinking of how the European kings civilised warfare for a while, at least, before the American war between the states, and Sherman’s dictum that “[we are] not only fighting hostile armies, but a hostile people, and must make old and young, rich and poor, feel the hard hand of war, as well as their organized armies”.

Jordan defeated the PLO irregulars on the battlefield in 1970, expelling the survivors to Syria…..

and yet, Jordanians turned out in their tens of thousands to show their support for Palestine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6mfBbErKVU

Yeah, they’re right behind the Pallies, about a hundred miles behind them.

Syria treated them the same way when they got too stroppy, sending some to Lebanon.

Ditto

Ditto.

Lebanon also thumped the PLO irregulars.

Ditto…

Ditto.

Do they suffer the same problems with the Palestinians on their territory as Israel does? Perhaps the lesson is to do the job thoroughly, not by half measures.

No, the above examples, plus those we saw in Sydney, London, Berlin etc etc etc shows that the Palestinian strategy – do something horrible, get hurt 10x as badly in return – is playing out exactly as they wanted, its turning both the arab world and the wider world against Israel, something Israel cannot afford. If Israel loses western support, its game over, and the west is changing.

You really did not understand my point about nuclear weapons and MAD, did you?

The governments of the “Arab Street” will ensure that no existential threat to Israel arises. As Jordan, Syria and Lebanon did over the PLO, and Egypt did over the Muslim Brotherhood, they will suppress anything that could lead to the Samson option.

Two quotes for you: “Never again”, and “Masada shall not fall again”.

Israel has nuclear weapons, as your forecast Islamic tide rolls over Israel, the nuclear explosions will roll over the rest of the Middle East. The Muslims could achieve a “victory” that turns to ashes in their mouths.

1) Does the term ‘suicide bomber’ ring any bells? Islam is a death cult that regularly sacrifices life in the present for the promise of paradise as a martyr.
2) I refer you to the ‘parable of the scorpion and the frog’ with regards to the regular and self destructive goings on in the middle east:

Experimental Observation of Acceleration-Induced Thermality
Morgan H. Lynch, Eliahu Cohen, Yaron Hadad, Ido Kaminer

We examine the radiation emitted by high energy positrons channeled into silicon crystal samples. The positrons are modeled as semiclassical vector currents coupled to an Unruh-DeWitt detector to incorporate any local change in the energy of the positron. In the subsequent accelerated QED analysis, we discover a Larmor formula and power spectrum that are both thermalized by the acceleration. Thus, these systems explicitly exhibit thermalization of the detector energy gap at the celebrated Fulling-Davies-Unruh (FDU) temperature. Our derived power spectrum, with a nonzero energy gap, is then shown to have an excellent statistical agreement with high energy channeling experiments and also provides a method to directly measure the FDU temperature. We also investigate the Rindler horizon dynamics and confirm that the Bekenstein-Hawking area-entropy law is satisfied in these experiments. As such, we present the evidence for the first observation of acceleration-induced thermality in a non-analogue system.

Evidence for Unruh’s effect in hardon physics

Abstract

In order that confinement should survive, light quarks inside hadrons have a very high acceleration and will feel a thermal bath with an Unruh temperature near 137 MeV. We show that this temperature is consistent with the experimentally observed departure from the Gottfried sum rule for the difference of the proton and neutron structure functions in deep inelastic electron scattering.

And do you really think this matters to the 380 million muslims that surround Israel?

Personally, I think it’s about giving a message to,
1) the Gazans that Israel is not giving up and the surrenders are happening.
2) the Western MSM and the actual difference in the way both sides treat people – “here, see these are still alive and have not been violated”.
3) We will not back down, “yes, we want our people back, but you lot better hurry up in giving them up”.
4) For the Israelis, at the forefront of their thinking can not be a worry about those other than the current cohort who attacked the country, otherwise Israel itself will fail.
5) The message to everyone else is the resolve to succeed; that will have resonance with the rest.

The ‘No Religion’ people now occupy second place in the census (38.9%). I suspect many who tick ‘Christianity’ (43.9%) do so for cultural or other reasons since they aren’t represented in the churches.

So agnostics are perhaps now a majority of the general population.

I’ve often reflected that calling politicians a**eholes is both offensive to, and shows an ingratitude of, a**eholes, which serve a vital purpose: the elimination of waste.

Politicians produce waste like the rest of us, but they seem to excrete where – and upon whomever – they like, without the sanction we averages would incur.

I think the obvious solution is the (compulsory) installation of personal elimination monitoring devices in each elected official.

There’s your problems, right there.
Bryce DeWitt was the genius who introduced String Theory to the World, then championed by others, such as Witten, Susskind, Greene et al.
All otherwise reputable theoretical physicists who developed a blind spot for a Theory of Everything, attempting to link the 3 elementary forces with gravity.
In the 60s and 70s this eventually became known as String Theory, with all of its 10-11 dimensions, Calabi-Yau Manifolds and other assorted evidence-free abstruse flotsam.

Bullsh!t on stilts for decades. $Billions spent chasing rainbows at the end of unicorns.

Unruh Radiation is one of String Theory’s sisters.
The problem of citations, pressure to publish, ever-more-arcane mathematics etc.. had well and truly arrived to that previously-strict discipline.. Thus we see the turd in an otherwise limpid pond.
Even Phys.Org is starting to look like a humanities website to anyone with a middling knowledge of maths and classical-quantum physics

Enough said.

They built a detector. How else are they going to detect it!?

The third paper was a nuclear physics paper from 1993. It said their results of a high energy interaction were explained by considering Unruh radiation. The data fits the theory. Thats how it should work. You got too angry to read the abstract I showed you. You also reckoned there was never any evidence of Unruh radiation ever found.

Since most interferometers are made for the sole purpose of teaching undergrad physics, does that mean they’re BS too?

I found two peer reviewed papers saying they have empirical evidence of Unruh radiation. This is infinitely more evidence than say dark matter has.

If you condemn Unruh radiation in the basis that it is the little sister of string theory, do you reject relativity as Einstein (ignore Mach etc for now) came up with both relativity and the cosmological constant?

But they’re not summaries. If they were, that would be admirable.

They are huge slabs of text copied from his reading list, with ‘helpful’ bolding for those slowpokes among us who need guidance re the important bits.

What’s more, this egomaniac diverts readers from the original websites and creators, depriving them of people clicking on their sites, just to make himself look good.

Before I start, I know that people are going to get worked up about comparisons between anti-Semites. But, it is a legitimate subject for discussion, particularly at the moment.

Islam is much worse than Nazism, and even communism. The psychology of 10/7 is one of psychopathy. Islam is a mind virus, it literally turns people into monsters; or it attracts monsters who cower the rest of the population. I think the first alternative is the case because in every poll of the pallis and muzzies around the world there is always a majority who support terrorism so either most people are already monsters or have a capacity to become monsters. In the end it doesn’t matter because leftism, another pernicious mind virus, regards islam and muzzies as victims to be tolerated and supported against the evil of the West. It’s a fine pincer movement and the only consolation will be that islam will behead the lefties who enabled it during the early stages of its development in the West.

On what basis is that acceptable? He’s on foreign soil – it’s bad enough doing it here.

Is he making a claim to that land? Because the ancestors of the current crop may have traipsed “out of Africa”. And what about everyone else’s ancestors and their claims/beliefs? And not just here.

I think he’s the dumbest politician – and I don’t think we’ve ever had anyone dumber.

Here’s something really controversial I’ve been thinking for a while.

Really, really, really, really controversial.

We should sell Christmas Island to Israel on the condition that sets up a new sovereign State for Jews there and both will always honour each other’s right of return.

Call it The Republic of Judah or Plan B.

There is space for agnostics but as usual we’re in minority.

The ‘No Religion’ people now occupy second place in the census (38.9%). I suspect many who tick ‘Christianity’ (43.9%) do so for cultural or other reasons since they aren’t represented in the churches.

So agnostics are perhaps now a majority of the general population.

The Cat probably reflects those figures.

A lot of people tick Christianity for reasons other than belief. “Losing My Religion” is a book by an Aussie Anglican minister that documents the decline in Christianity over the past century.

Perhaps agnostics are in a majority now but strangely while most people do not subscribe to traditional religions they may embrace some metaphysical beliefs about something something isn’t life strange there must be more to life than this mere physicality. The “not religious but spiritual” claim is weird. It reminds me of the Springsteen song, Reason to Believe, which touches on the seemingly innate need to believe in something Other. Neuro\cognitive arguments for that need being part of our nature arising from evolutionary developments don’t make sense to me. For someone like myself, who has problems with evolutionary theory, who perceives human beings as evolutionary discontinuous, with cognition and behaviors that appear to defy evolutionary imperatives, human beings are very weird creatures.

For those concerned about Israel using nuclear weapons I am led to believe they possess Neutron bombs which are tactical weapons with a blast radius of about 600 metres. Dead people, little damage and a half life of 12 years. Perfect for Gaza.

What does this gain Israel…. apart from enraging 380 million of their neighbours?

It is short sighted to think that Gaza is Israels only problem here, or that eliminating its population will solve anything.

The problem here is that we have 2 religious groups claiming divine right to the same land. Personally I dont think thats fixable until 1 group eliminates the other, and given the relative sizes of the 2 sides (and of their diasporas) I can only see one end if thats the route taken. Theres only 15 million jews in the world vs nearly 2 billion muslims, and the muslims are rapidly colonising the western safe spaces which have supported Israel since 1948.

Calling someone antisemitic is how you disprove anyone’s argument regarding anything to do with Isreal or Jews.

They don’t have to address your argument, just call you names and have you arrested for “hate speech”.

Everyone knows Isreal only exists while the U.S. backs them militarily.
They do not have the capability to defeat all their neighbours alone…

Former Australian opener Ed Cowan (yes) has thrown his support behind Mitch Johnson in his flaying of the houso ranga cack-handed cheat (the Hun):

Warner’s ex-Test opening partner Ed Cowan said on the Grandstand cricket podcast that Johnson’s points were largely valid.

“He’s saying what 90 per cent of people in the pub have been thinking and probably wondering why aren’t discussed more,” Cowan said.

Yep. And:

Cowan said the idea of Marnus Labuschagne moving up the order to open when Warner departs had merit.

“With Marnus opening the batting, he’s walking out at one for none anyway. David Warner has been a walking wicket for two years now,” Cowan said.

A walking wicket. Glorious, from one of Warner’s opening partners.

Mind you, this is coming from someone who played 18 Tests and averaged 31. Duck Egg Joe finished with better figures.

Roger, I have studied quite a bit of comparative religion…

I think there are two great lessons to be learned from comparative religion – the almost universal belief in a creator God, even in polytheistic cultures, and the existence of objective moral values across cultures (see CS Lewis, The Abolition of Man).

THE DESECRATION OF MAN
by Carl R. Trueman
January 2024

This year marks the eightieth anniversary of the lectures that became C. S. Lewis’s book The Abolition of Man. Speaking to an audience at the height of the Second World War, Lewis identified the central problem of the modern age: The world was losing its sense of what it meant to be human. As man’s technological achievements were once again being used to destroy human life on an industrial scale, Lewis pointed to the dehumanization that was occurring all around. And as the war continued, the Final Solution and the atomic bomb served to reinforce his claims. Yet modern warfare was not the only problem. As Lewis argued, the intellectual and cultural currents of modernity were also culpable. The war was as much a symptom of the problem as a cause. Modernity was abolishing man. It represented nothing less than a crisis of anthropology.

Go the original Kimberly scheme.
https://www.historyisnowmagazine.com/blog/2020/7/6/the-plan-for-jewish-settlement-in-australia-in-the-1930s-the-kimberley-scheme

A series of reports and articles appeared between 1934 and 1938 promoting the desirability of large-scale immigration into the vast area of the Kimberley in north-west Australia[v]. A letter was published in the London Jewish Chronicle in which the author, Charles Chomley called on the Australian government to view an influx of Jews as being of a mutual interest[vi].

Given the backdrop of the failed Evian Conference, it must have seemed to the Freeland League that a genuine alternative had appeared. Australia, a country built by immigrants was assessed as an ideal proposition with its areas of under population, vast land mass and an acknowledged need for economic growth through a substantial increase in population. The continent was seen by the League as an opportunity to be pursued with some haste and Steinberg, a supreme public speaker and organizer was tasked with the role of leading the initiative.

An outline submission was made to the Australian High Commissioner in London suggesting that a joint scheme funded by the League would unleash the economic potential which had so far not materialized to the extent envisaged. The outcome was an invitation from the Commissioner for the League to prepare a blueprint setting out its vision supported by practical plans to turn it into a reality, and a favored area of land was quickly identified as the preferred location.

Looks like secret recordings are fine in court.

What a bag of worms this case will be.

Telephone conversations secretly recorded by Higgins to be played in court

Justice Lee will allow the tender of the two secretly-recorded telephone conversations, despite earlier concerns it may contravene the ACT’s listening devices act.

“On 1 December 2023 Mr Whybrow SC during the course of the cross-examination of Ms Higgins sought to play an audio recording apparently taken on 5 February 2021 between Ms Higgins, Senator Cash and Mr Try,” Lee said.

“When this course was suggested, I asked the question of whether or not this was a ‘covert’ recording of a telephone conversation and discussion took place as to whether or not the playing of the recording could contravene the listening devices act”.

Lee said he would allow the recordings to be used in cross-examination on a limited basis only.

The court will play the two recordings now.

Wilkinson comments on Reynolds ‘not appropriate’
Joanna Panagopoulos
Joanna Panagopoulos

Matthew Richardson SC, acting for Bruce Lehrmann, has suggested it was not appropriate for journalist Lisa Wilkinson to tell Brittany Higgins and David Sharaz, “I’ve so got Linda Reynolds in my sights now”, before the airing of the Ms Higgins’ rape allegations on The Project.

Mr Richardson was speaking about a recording of a five-hour meeting between Wilkinson, her producer Angus Llewellyn, Ms Higgins and her partner Mr Sharaz, late in January 2021, about a month before The Project episode aired.

Mr Richardson asked Mr Llewellyn: “Did it occur to you that that was a healthy mindset for a journalist to have about someone that was going to be featured in a program and be the subject of criticism?”

Mr Llewellyn: “What do you mean by healthy mindset, Mr Richardson?”

Mr Richardson: “Do you think it was appropriate for Ms Wilkinson to be saying ‘I’ve so got Linda Reynolds in my sights now’?”

Mr Llewellyn: “This is not a broadcast. This is a conversation that was never meant to be more than our initial discussion with her. People’s opinions are not what drives how the story works.”

I think it was Wally who put up a story the other day about a young couple with a pet python taking the snake to the vet’s because the snake had stopped eating.
They thought the reason the snake had stopped eating was it could be depressed. The vet replied that snakes are reptiles; they don’t do depression. Then, was asked, were there any new pets in the house – small animals, like a cat or dog, because snakes will fast in anticipation of a large meal opportunity. The couple said they’d just had a baby.

Horrifying thought, isn’t it?

Areff, try House sitting sites like Housesitters.com.au

They usually have people looking for a free bed at your place which may not suit you, but sometimes you can offer a payment and maybe find someone who’ll take a fee for caring at theirs. Or try other sites, as suggested above.

Don’t give up yet, you’ll find somewhere soon. I’d have her in a heartbeat if it wasn’t for Attapuss and Hairy’s doubts about how he’d fare plus the extra responsibility when we are away. I sat on the sofa after lunch and Attapuss jumped up on the arm of it immediately wailing, desperate for me to cover my curled legs with the usual light blanket which makes ‘his spot’ on me. He gets so keen for this luv after lunch and dinner that he starts scrabbling at the blanket even before I can finish spreading it out. As he settled in and presented his chest for a rub, Hairy commented dryly to him to watch out, he’d better get on that chair over there and get used to it because mum was busy considering dumping him. Not true, of course.

Is the concept of self interested politicians familiar to you? Arab governments have crushed the more enthusiastic Jihadis regularly, and will do so again if the shadow of a mushroom cloud enters the scene.

So, the Arab world can be relied upon to *not* trigger the nuclear option, but the Israelis can be relied upon to use it if needed?…. okayyyyy

What do the 50% of Jews who live *outside* Israel think of that? ….. start by surveying the New Yorkers….

I doubt Israel will commit suicide, even if they are being over-run.

To take your last point first, look at the events of 7 October. If Israel is being over-run, they are all dead, or are about to be after the rape and torture finishes. That is the trigger for the nuclear option.

The “Arab World” has a great incentive to not trigger the nuclear option. The Israelis will be no deader, but they will join them in oblivion. They have demonstrated in the past that they are willing to come down hard on those who threaten the fragile equilibrium, they will do it again.

And western “progressives” will huff and puff, but do nothing practical to stop them.

They have demonstrated in the past that they are willing to come down hard on those who threaten the fragile equilibrium, they will do it again.

That term ‘fragile equilibrium’ was on lips everywhere in Israel when we were there, in relatively normal times. Everyone knew the place functioned on a continual knife-edge and that at any time some silly thing could set it off. But there was also a sense that whatever mayhem ensued, it would revert once more to a bearable equilibrium – and this was told to us by both Arab and Israeli people, shop owners and restaurant owners alike, who had a vested interest in it being so. They’d also sniffed a lot of winds.

ABC cancels The Drum as part of ‘wider restructure’

By jenna clarke
Associate Editor

The Drum will air for the final time on the ABC this week with management cancelling the panel show for 2024.

Hosts Julia Baird, Ellen Fanning and Dan Bourchier will be redeployed to other hosting duties, however the restructure will see some job losses.

A decision news director Justin Stevens told staff on Tuesday was “difficult”.

In an email to staff, Stevens said the “decommissioning” of the long-running show was “part of a wider restructure which would see a programs team on the ABC News Channel disbanded and one executive position abolished”.

“The Drum began in 2010 and it went on to be groundbreaking in championing diversity on air, leading the way in finding new voices and inspiring other ABC teams to follow suit,” Stevens said.

He conceded the The Drum had been watched by a “comparatively small and declining” audience in recent times.

The Drum was launched in 2010 to coincide with the premiere of ABC News 24. It underwent a number of makeovers and was shifted from the ABC News Channel to the primary ABC station. In 2019 it was relaunched as the permanent 6pm show before being repeated at 11pm on ABC News 24.

At that time, it would attract about 130,000 metro viewers each night.

In 2023 it has rarely rated in the daily top 20 programs, even during the campaign for the Indigenous voice to parliament referendum.

To take your last point first, look at the events of 7 October. If Israel is being over-run, they are all dead, or are about to be after the rape and torture finishes. That is the trigger for the nuclear option.

There are 15 million jews in the world, only 1/2 are in Israel. Prior to 1948 there was no Israel, ergo a homeland is a ‘nice to have’ for the Jews, not an essential. Triggering the ‘nuclear option’ not only destroys Israel, and its 7 million jews, it would trigger a pogrom that would lead to the deaths of the other 7 million. How does that help?

No-one here called anyone here an antisemitic.
Stop playing the victim.
Just observed a consistent, repeated implication that Israel’s response to Hamas barbarity should have been to do nothing;
as though the situation for Israel is on all fours with the US led incursions in Afghanistan.
Guess what, it’s not.

The western contributions to Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam and other places have one thing in common.

Unlike the Israel/Muslim situations, none of them represented an existential threat to the western contributors. There is a potential existential threat to Israel. The events of 7 October demonstrated exactly what the likes of Hamarse, IJ, PLO, Isis, and all the other groups of nutters would like to do.

Every time they stick their heads above the parapet, Israel must eliminate that day’s threat. That does not guarantee perpetual security, but it does provide short term security. If, as Doc Duk suggests, the hundreds of millions of Muslims in the Middle East decide to overwhelm Israel, that is an existential threat.

But that will happen only if the Arab governments lead the attack. Without that leadership, there is no existential threat. And with that leadership, they are pushing Israel to the Samson Option. The Arab Governments, at least at present, are sensible enough to know that, and not to do it.

it sounds like Cash was being accommodating to Hoggins?

Higgins: ‘I feel like I lost control of this entire situation’
Now the court is playing the conversation Higgins secretly recorded with Senator Michaelia Cash and Cash’s aide Daniel Try after Higgins resigned on 5 February 2021.

Higgins breaks down in tears during the conversation and talks about the alleged assault.

The conversation then centres on Higgins’ distress at how the Liberal party handled her allegation of assault in Parliament House.

Higgins said: “… I feel like I lost control of this entire situation and… the only way for me to kind of get a handle on it is to remove myself.”

Higgins said it felt like “everyone in the party [had] sort of moved on. Bruce got to move on with his life and I was the only one kind of keeping a secret and it was exhausting… [and] very stressful.

Higgins said to Cash and Try that every time someone brings it up with her it’s “this painful thing” and she realises “how wrong it was and it’s just it makes me feel so gross and so disgusting”.

“And if this happened in a park with a stranger… I’d go to the police tomorrow and I would get him arrested but because of all the weird party stuff… and the hierarchy and whatever else I felt like I couldn’t and that’s a problem.”

Cash tells Higgins if she wants to keep her job, she can secure her a job in Brisbane doing her social media.

Higgins said no, she just wants to “end my relationship with Parliament House pretty much at this point”.

Higgins said in the ACT criminal trial that she had multiple conversations with Cash about the alleged rape from October 2019, during her employment there.

But Cash said she first learned of the alleged rape almost 18 months later, in February 2021, when Higgins told her “out of the blue” prior to resigning.

it would trigger a pogrom that would lead to the deaths of the other 7 million. How does that help?

Take a few deep breaths, calm down.

If Muslims were raping, torturing and slaughtering their way through Israel, the more civilised parts of the world would be appalled. Should Israel then destroy the sources of that slaughter, there would be no reason to blame the Jews living elsewhere. Those responsible would clearly be those leading a Middle Eastern Pogrom on a scale far beyond the Holocaust, in a much shorter time frame.

Im unsure how this is supposed to be the “gotch” its being presented as?

Lisa Wilkinson’s lawyer says it is ‘clear’ from recording Cash’s aide knew about alleged assault

Sue Chrysanthou, for Lisa Wilkinson, has told the court it “is absolutely clear from the conversation with Mr Try a week before that Mr Try knows” the name of Higgins’ alleged assailant and that he knew it was an assault Higgins was talking about.

Chrysanthou said Try knew “exactly what Ms Higgins is talking about, including the name of the person who she’s accused [and that] Mr Try knows that had happened while she was in Linda Reynolds’ office; that is all absolutely clear from that first conversation.”

Llewellyn is now being cross-examined about the recordings.

Duk, the homeland of Israel is central to the whole religion. That has to be understood. It’s not just ‘nice to have’. That statement of yours is so thoroughly patronising it’s no wonder you inflame Jewish people here, yet you seem to have no comprehension as to why. Try it with Mecca or the Al Aqsa and see how far you get.

Similarly, the Jewish diaspora would survive a pogrom in Israel; as they have before. Turning selected parts of the Arab world to glass wouldn’t kill Jewish people in the diaspora. It would leave the Arabs too busy picking up the shreds of their own.

Also, it is unthinkable. Do not think it. It should not and will not be done.
Too much is at stake on both sides. Viva the IDF and the measured response.

Sky News gives court USB of secret recordings of Higgins’ lawyer speaking with her fiance
Sky News Australia has delivered a USB to the court of the so-called secret recordings of Brittany Higgins’ lawyer speaking to Higgins’ fiance, David Sharaz, at a Sydney bar.

The recordings were taken of Leon Zwier and others at the Park Hyatt Lobby Bar on 4 December and reportedly revealed the lawyer discussing how Higgins could respond to questions in cross-examination.

The USB has been tendered into evidence.

Lehrmann’s legal team earlier served the subpoena on Sky News for a copy of the tape “before we can do anything further”.

“We’ve already made contact with a representative who’s prepared to accept service of that subpoena on behalf of that organisation,” silk Steve Whybrow SC told the court.

Whybrow has tendered two stories about a secret tape recording which allege Zwier was secretly recorded discussing the case with Sharaz. The stories were published overnight: one on Sky News’ Sharri Markson’s program and one by Samantha Maiden on news.com.au.

C.L. if you wonder why I’ve been a bit testy about judges lately it’s because I am increasingly hearing it from people I know. They are escalating with the violence too, my daughter has a friend whose Aunty was the mother slashed at 10am on a Sunday morning FFS by car thieves. Judges swallow their BS hard done by stories & spring ’em.

Media doesn’t report on the collateral damage on other motorists or deaths due to their joy riding. However vigilante behaviour, gasp shock horror and I wont even go into that case except to say the poor girl on the bike that got killed was from an influential family. Media only covers attempted car jackings when posted on social media, guess what in Stocklands Aitkenvale and Willows Shopping Centre Kirwan car parks it’s now a common occurrence.

The park in Wagner st Deeragun is named after a lovely grandmother also whose grandchildren we knew, who was murdered in her own home by an aboriginal thug claiming mental illness about 5 years ago, funnily enough the sentence the POS got I can’t find.

Hoggins’ secret recordings of her, Daniel Try (Michaela Cash CoS) and Cash revealed little else but her turning of the taps and endless claims to victimhood, while Try/Cash were making offers of unfettered support for her, also attempting to talk the Hog out of leaving PH.

Compare this to Hoggins claims that she received no support, ever, from anyone in PH.

Followers of the YT stream would be aware that her paranoid rewriting of history has already been well documented.

Angus then revealed that all these lies didn’t need further context in The Project, as the focus of the program was that there was no independent means of addressing staff complaints in PH.
Thus Hoggins being able to only go through Brown entailed pervasive conflicts of interests that voided any other shows of support.

So, no need to tell the whole story, or indeed the truth.
A biased hatchet job on Brown and Reynolds was created, and the Hog’s version and lies never questioned.

The Truth Always Surfaces

COMMENT: It first seemed you were just a Russian supporter. The more I read, the more I became shocked that we have instigated this conflict with Russia and all the conspiracy theories are being proven true. The person who referred me to your site said you had the best sources because everyone wanted to know what Socrates was forecasting. Your post today about Boris Johnson telling Zelensky there is no peace with Russia truly hit home. These people have no qualms about letting millions die for nothing. It makes me wonder if these people want power and enjoy hurting others. I cannot comprehend their thinking, let alone their moral character. Johnson has the blood of many on his hands, and he cannot wash them clean like Pontus Pilate.

MW

REPLY: The West wants this war. Zelensky was told to keep fighting to kill as many Russians as possible. Lindsey Graham said it was the best money he ever spent to kill Russians. The problem is that 500,000 Ukrainians are now dead and still counting. Not a single leader in the West gave 2-seconds of thought about all the Ukrainian deaths and that 8 to 10 million have fled their homes. They have destroyed Ukraine because of their hatred of Russians. It was the unelected interim government installed by the US, EU, and Britain that started this civil war, attacking the Donbas on their instructions. The people voted for Zelensky because he promised peace. Johnson interfered and said no way.

McCain was at Maidan encouraging a revolution and that the United States would stand behind them. Can you imagine if a Russian addressed the crowd on January 6th, encouraging them to overthrow the government? The Neocons have used Ukraine for their purpose to wage war against Russia, and they never cared about the Ukrainian people or their country.

Khruschev arbitrarily drew the Ukraine border for administrative purposes. He grew up there and was responsible for rebuilding Kiev after World War II. His successor, Brezhnev, was also born there in the Donbas. Does that mean the Cuban Missle Crisis was not with Russia, but with Ukraine since they claim the Donbas? From the beginning, before the US started this civil war, I had employees on both sides in Donetsk and Kyiv and warned on February 20, 2014, that Ukraine should have been divided based on language. I stressed that point again in 2022. I also warned back on December 3rd, 2013, before the Maidan Revolution, that “Ukraine Maybe The Most Important Country To Watch.” This has NEVER been my personal opinion or wish. Our computer pinpointed Ukraine before anything even took place.

Our computer pinpointed Ukraine as the place where World War III would begin.”

Angus-baby more babble-ey, not as swagger-ey, now that his stupidity in the unquestioning acceptance of Hoggins’ oodles of BS has been confirmed by the judge.

Yes.
He lost the plot just before stumps when learned counsel walked him off the end of the pier.
Asked about selective redaction and “blurring” of documents, his answer is “But we are making a TV show, not a police record.”
Quite so. It’s when you present your light entertainment as a rigorous investigation, therein lies the problem.
He claims that the premise of the program was to “point out that 3,000 people in Parliament House don’t have a mechanism for making complaints.”
Justice Lee points out that a complaint to the AFP is open to anyone.
Llewellyn replies, “Err, well, I’m talking about HR complaints.”
I could be wrong here, but I don’t think ‘Is ‘Onner was all that keen on wape trials being run by Karen from HR.
Once again, Justice Lee pulls the handbrake on “Well, Ms Hoggins felt that …” with an abrupt “No feelz. Just facts.”
After leading Llewellyn through multiple examples of Brown and Reynolds encouraging a complaint to the AFP, Llewellyn pleads that Britnah didn’t think it was sincere.
FMD.
Question (paraphrased): “Faced with evidence that Brown and Reynolds had encouraged a complaint, why did your TV show not only not report it, but claim that they had actively obstructed the lodging of a complaint?”
Llewellyn does a goldfish impression.
As a parting shot, learned counsel issues some “advice which is general in nature and applies to all witnesses” * …
“Do not discuss your evidence with anyone.”

* This was so not general advice. It was a shot at Llewellyn and indirectly at Zwier.

Judge: ‘the more this case goes on the more I think I’m going to be engaged in it in any event right up till Father Christmas comes’

Justice Lee was hearing the separate issue of Lisa Wilkinson’s claim for the Ten Network to pay her legal costs when he remarked on the sprawling nature of the defamation case.

“The more this case goes on the more I think I’m going to be engaged in it in any event right up till Father Christmas comes,” Lee said.
