Avi Horowicz has some horrific footage (linked here too?) of pretending to be a smiling, enthusiastic, well-mannered Mr. Nice Guy anti-Israel type drumming up some funding for killing all the Jews wherever they are found, ‘all over the world’, and all he lacks is the money to do it. Will you donate to kill the Jews? he asks young students at leftist California State University. Most blithely nodded agreement to his idea, some mouthed libels such as the Jews were money hungry, as well as being stealers of land and committing genocide, and 35% of them actually signed an intention to donate money, usually ten or fifteen dollars, to kill Jews wherever in the world they might be found.
This was a terrible indictment of how brainwashed these young students are. They did not really listen, and had no historical means of comprehending what they were being asked to support, and lacked any ability to dissect with critical analysis what was being put to them.
Discussing this with Hairy I suggested firing all the teachers who taught them such stuff, propaganda not analytic capabilities founded on researched evidence. As a careful administrator, he said that was not enough nor the way to go. Remove all of the faculties and departments teaching it, was his response. Defund them completely, say what they taught was neither scholarly nor any longer fit for purpose and they should all go. Start over with something else altogether.
Good idea, I said. Let’s work on that, We need programmatic specificity. 🙂

However the Federal Court case goes for Lehmann, Reynolds, Cash and especially Fiona Brown should be onto their lawyers after the Toad’s legal team and had to admit that there was no substance to the political conspiracy/coverup theory. The recent testimony of the security guard in the civil trial has destroyed any pretences that there was sexual intercourse of any kind as it contradicted the narrative that Higgins and Sharaz had crafted. Lehrmann has always denied either consensual sex or sexual assault.
It’s no longer a hypothetical, it has been exposed as an intentional deception by Higgins and Sharaz. In conjunction with the Moller Memo and texts before the night in question and the comments by Sharz with Higgins and employees of Ten shows malice, deception and fraud.

I had a similar run in with a wasps’ nest a couple of years ago. This nest was under an agave cactus that I was trimming, I got stung five times in a small wrist area not covered by gloves or clothes. I can see in your immediate future several weeks of intense anti-histamine therapy.
They say they’re refugees, which means they have no ages back through generations relationship to Gaza. Shift them anywhere within Jordan, Sumaria, Judea, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt and their atatus hasn’t changed – they’re still just second generation decendents of displaced persons within their traditional territory. Not even as displaced as (say) from Melbourne to Sydney. If a war two generations ago caused that, would they be called refugees?

The security guard’s testimony was that Brittany was naked. That doesn’t contradict the possibility of rape. Just the opposite.
Her dress was on the floor. Brittany remembered it as scrunched around her waist during the assault and she told Fiona Brown she woke up at some point in the night and was semi naked. So she could have removed her dress then, before the guard found her.
I can’t see how Lee or anyone could rule one way or the other.
First, who cares if he did?
Second, he knew that how exactly? Did they have it tattooed on their foreheads? If they were “special” and their mission/presence was sensitive they certainly wouldn’t have been kitted out in country or service attributable kit.
Oh, and pub rules apply. If they claimed they were Special they almost certainly weren’t.
I have only just checked on what fellow threadsters have had to say about the trial and Lee J’s performance, and thus did not acknowledge earlier that it was Figures who made the point that Lehrmann’s denial, after being made aware of Higgins’ allegation, that sex had taken place was strong evidence that he had not raped her.
It’s not conclusive evidence, for it may be argued that he denied sex had occured. because an admission of consensual sex would compromise his career chances, and he overlooked the risk of that forensic evidence would prove rape.
Lee J pressed on Whybrow the theory that from the facts that two young people, affected by booze, attracted one another, and in a private space (although Whybrow pointed out that they had been filmed passing through security) must have had sex. Lee J seems to have put to Whybrow that Lehrmann’s lies about some of the details of what happened in the clubs, and then in regard to the entry to Parliament, tipped the scales in favour of a rape, rather than consensual sex, or no sex. Lee J underplayed Higgins’ lies, on the basis that they were stated in other contexts.
There’s a lot wrong about this theory. If Lee J thinks it valid, the explanation might be that he simply has no life experience of casual sex relationships. A lot can go awry to cause non-consumation; brewer’s droop for just one example.
I am inclined to think that other case-theories having collapsed, Lee J was ensuring that a “verdict” by him that no rape occured could not be challenged on appeal on the ground that he had not sufficiently tested Whybrow on the theory stated above.
On a related matter, Higgins and/or Sharaz face the possibility that the deed with the Commonwealth will be revoked (on the principle that fraud undoes everything), and that the WA Supreme Court will enter a default judgment in favour of Senator Reynolds. what fun there will be if assests have been moved out of Australis, and/or a discretionary trust created.
I don’t think Lee was necessarily buying the rape theory.

I don’t profess to know much about these matters, but the security guard offered Brittany medical attention, or an ambulance. Wouldn’t a rope victim accept such an offer?
Jorge is correct, no-one can assert positively that rape occurred or not. but what Lee J can (and should) find is that Ten and Wilkinson have not proved on the balance of probabilities, and on the evidence adduced, that it did.

A final point. Whybrow, with reference to his argument that Higgins lied in the criminal trial, described her as a perjurer. that is, she lied under oath in a court. Maybe (probably) he was telling Lee J that any evidence she gave on this trial should not be believed unless independently supported. And/or that it was a way to tell Lee J that he could not underplay Higgins lies.
Yes, in view of Lehrmann’s strong denial, and the lack of hard evidence, he has to be acquitted (not that he is being tried).
Her being naked and asleep on the couch is nevertheless curious.

Droppen in on my phavourite pharmacist this arvo, a scrummy south African bird. My mum has come down with the coof, and sent my dad in for some meds- which is Paxlovid via Pfizer.
