Yes, men were disposable. That was their lot in life. Protect and serve. During the Two Great Wars, the Women stepped in to fill the vacancies left by the Men. Farming, to keep the population fed. Industry, to keep the Nations factories, Power, Water, Sewage, Automobile, Munitions, Aircraft, Ships, Transport etc running smoothly.
Everything that Men had been responsible for before they went to War.
All this was done while still caring for their families. Also add, Intelligence Agencies, Radar, Radio Control, Cypher, Espionage. Tell me Plastic, do you know how many Women lost their lives, often in the most brutal of ways, when they were caught whilst gathering information in Enemy Territory?
To this, add the Nurses and Medical staff. Do you know how many nurses lost their lives whilst caring for the “disposable” Men?
Whilst Women may not have been on the Front Lines to do Battle, there were thousands who lost their lives caring for the Men who did. It would only take a small amount of Googling to find thousands of pages of information to find out just how much Women did contribute in effort and lives to War.
Men and Women contributed according to their capabilities.

Since we have a nasty and bitter wailer here who thinks only “men” have historically been “disposable, what about the millions of women who died during pregnancy and childbirth throughout human history?
Pregnancy and childbirth were, until very recently, highly perilous for women and many, many women died in childbirth.
By the way, even as late as 2020, nearly 300,000 women across the globe died during and following pregnancy and childbirth. And yes, here in Australia and across the West we’re lucky, thanks to modern medicine, that maternal mortality has mercifully plummeted.
‘Disposability’ isn’t a competition. All the women I know and the women here acknowledge the sacrifices men made during war.
As I said earlier, the bitter and twisted wailer needs professional help.

One example. Violette Szabo. Married to a Czech serving in the French Foreign Legion. Joined SoE, captured on her second mission, executed in Ravensbruck in 1945.
Her daughter, escorted by her grandfather, received Violet’s GC from King George VI. IIRC, they moved to Australia after the war.
History can’t be done properly with broad strokes. Unfortunately the excesses of feminism stem from men pandering to (mostly) incel terrorists (suffeagettes and prohibitionists).
PS, her husband was killed in North Africa in 1942.
Totally. I was born in 1969, did Bill Lawry or Ian Chappell ever crap on about Vietnam or whatever else was a concern back then?
Israel have formed a coalition government to deal with the consequences of the 7 October 2023.
It isn’t all about Bibi.
Proved the existence of God with a couple of binomials.
It’s like a side bar piano player pretending he’s a concert pianist.
I can guarantee you all that every Israeli man slaughtered on 7 October 2023 would have gladly ‘disposed’ of their own lives to protect and save the elderly, the women and the children.
But alas, Hamas Nazis raped and butchered ALL the men, all the women and all children. The few they kidnapped are now either dead or the women are sex slaves to Allah.
It it had meant saving the elderly, the women and the children, those now dead Israeli men would never has viewed their heroism as “disposable”. No, because they would have understood the essence of REAL manhood and masculinity. They would have known what is right and what is wrong.
I’m reminded of what happened at a kibbutz on that awful day. It was reported in the OZ two weeks after the pogrom. A kibbutz survived intact because one man heard gunfire coming from a neighbouring kibbutz, he quickly got the guns and the other men ready and he said to them very clearly….
“we die at the fence, no one is entering the kibbutz”.
That’s the essence of manhood, something our resident troll lacks.

Boambee John,
I know of Violette Zsabo. An excellent example. Wonderful film about her life starring Virginia McKenna.
I have a book called “Lonely Courage”. It is about the women who volunteered to Spy during World War 2. Violette is in it, as is our own Nancy Wake. Although Nancy was treated abominably by Australia.
Two of the women were incinerated alive in the crematoria at a Prison Camp after they had been caught and tortured.
It is an excellent read.
Steady on.
He’s got to be at least 125 years old and he was expended on the Western Front.
It wasn’t quite the ongoing ‘straight lines in space’ argument from some time back, to be fair.
Men and Women contributed according to their capabilities.”
Quite so, and before rancid feminism both men and women understood this implicitly. It wasn’t competition and no man was seen as “disposable”. And the women, who were the mothers, the sisters, the wives and the daughters of those men who died during war, grieved for them profoundly.
To be fair, the process of reproduction is risky for both parties.

Morally, the disposability of men is a myth.
Historically, it is a reality.

Yacht racing not for shrinking violets. Husband was involved for years (on other people’s yachts) – & his description of the language in the heat of “battle” was not for delicate ears. Just blokes having a good time competing against each other.
Mind you, some “ladies” were often in crews, and they are damn good sailors. Husband said they did not complain about “blue” language. But they did complain about the men (the older ones) whining about their health, and talking incessantly about superannuation and investments.

Actually, it was the aptly named Scallywag maxi tacking dangerously close to LawConnect (with a name like that I wish it had been hit). Watched it live, and it was balls of steel stuff. How they control those monsters in variable winds, choppy seas with spectator boats all around is impressive.
There have been a few stories about veteran navigator Lindsay May doing his 50th race this year, on Antipodes. In the 1980s I worked with him. He was the head of IT, back when computers were large things in refrigerated rooms. Very smart and also very affable, not always the case with computer nerds.
Historically both men and women were “disposable”, that is working class men and women. It has only been over the last two hundred years that concerns for the less well have arisen. Most of our ancestors were poor, and life for both male and females was a battle. Nobody gave a shit about the poor or the middling classes. If children were lucky enough to survive childhood diseases, if women were lucky enough to survive pregnancy and childbirth, if men were lucky enough to survive the mines and war, them most men and women died young.
Once upon a time everyone had it hard, male and female. We are lucky to live in 2023, and we’ve never had it easier.

The secret reserve two minutes above us was a fine high place to see the whole of the spread of the start line across the harbour. We don’t see the start line from our place, just the outer harbour to Manly. Hairy and I walked up, noting there was no spare parking space in our street or others. Even yesterday I’d had to park a bit down our street, where parking is usually plentiful. Seems the uncertain weather hadn’t put off people parking to walk 5 mins down for a Christmas beach picnic harbourside nor for seeing off the fleet today. The long time finishing Nielsen Park and beach has put extra pressure on other smaller and lesser known eastern harbour beaches.
The start was in full sunshine and was inspiring. A goodly race began it all, and then the turn for those on the right side to breach the heads, and whoops. We hurried home to watch it in detail on TV, the close encounter. As the coverage finished channel 7’s helicopter swooped over from the ocean panning down on the Vaucluse circle and our place near Watsons Bay. Blink, though, and you’ve missed us. 🙂
Now a another thunderstorm is approaching. Monsoonal Sydney, just as it was when Captain Phillip and the Fleet pulled in on January 26, 1788, which started it all.

Vicki, I had to hold my tongue a couple of times when similar corporate son-in-law, a millennial not an X-er, was watching Charles III deliver his green package of aspirations. At least Charlie left ‘climate’ out of it by name, but obviously not by intent. S-in-L says he’s doing well, isn’t he. Mmm, I am more a fan of QE two, I found I had to say.. He and I then sat through Albo, no comment, and then Dutton, who elicited a snide comment from S-in-L. Couldn’t help myself asking was that a joke or are you serious? S-in-L didn’t deign to reply.

The latest example of refusal to build new water infrastructure, instead relying on reducing consumption, is Cairns.
A place that is deluged with rain every wet season, but gutless/indifferent politicians ramped it up as a tourist destination and growth centre while refusing to ensure water supply.
Now the chickens have come home to roost. Thanks to COVID and inflation, it’s going to cost a lot more in real terms than if they’d fixed it years ago. Not to mention the many, many more regulatory and lawfare barriers in the way while they snoozed in Brisbane and Canberra.

If you mean the canon of scripture, the Roman church didn’t settle on that until the second half of the 1500s. There was a consensus on which books were undoubtedly canonical, but some disagreement on some minor writings.
Or do you mean the eucharistic prayer in the Roman Mass, also known as the “canon”?
David Cole at Takimag has been posting these stats for years, as has Thomas Sowell. There are plenty of them, demonstrating that black American families disintegrated due to welfare policies. The timing was perfect – all that hippie stuff about marriage being oppressive, ‘free’ love and so on.
But I don’t think it’s that simple. There are broader cultural aspects, because while white/other families disintegrated more slowly, they nevertheless did fall apart as well.
On Million Dollar Listing New York a couple of rich queens who want to simulate a family are portrayed as victims because it is so hard to find a suitable surrogate.
We see their travails (unsuitable candidates edited out) including where they ask the girlfriend of a colleague to ‘give her eggs.’ She is beautiful, healthy and intelligent.
She is much politer than I would have been in telling them to etc.
In later episodes, they finally find a womb for hire and end up with kids. This is celebrated. No mention of coarse subjects like how much money changed hands, but these guys are seriously rich. The whole thing made my skin crawl.
There are cheaper options available in poor countries, apparently.
I was going towards the Climate Religion
And other modern changes such as Qwertyism
I thought as much, probably due to hearing Sowell speak about it numerous times.
Thank you, joh.
I would also expect that the same “progressive” welfare policies are creating a criminal white underclass.
If your claim to fame is inventing a sport that looks like young gay gymnasts bitch slapping each other whilst getting exercise you probably should lay of the invective.
Those broader cultural aspects might include ethnicity and geographical location, for example.
Sowell is quite critical of the “Scots-Irish” of the South, for example.
Top 5 Powerful Russian Weapons That Shattered Myth of NATO’s Superiority in 2023
2023 will be remembered as the year that the fearsome reputation of NATO’s pricey, high-tech weaponry and military equipment came crashing down after running into the force of Russian arms.
Sputnik asked five leading Russian and US military experts for their takes on the top five Russian weapons of the outgoing year.
The end of the Cold War brought with it the pinnacle of Pentagon hubris, with conflicts in Iraq in 1991, Bosnia and Kosovo in 1995 and 1999, Afghanistan in 2001, Iraq again in 2003 and Libya in 2011 seemingly proving the superiority of the weapons designs the United States and its allies developed in the 1980s to fight the Soviets in a World War III scenario that never arrived.
NATO defense analysts chalked down their conventional victories to superior technology and quality of their weapons, figuring that if an Abrams or Challenger 2 tank could single-handedly destroy dozens of Iraq’s Soviet-era T-72 tanks with near-impunity and suffer almost no losses, that meant there was something right about Western tank designs, and something wrong with the Soviet (and by translation Russian) design philosophies. The same logic was applied across the board, from armor to aircraft to air defenses and virtually everything in between.
In 2023, the performance of Ukraine’s Western-armed and trained forces against heavily entrenched Russian positions in Zaporozhye, Kherson and the Donbass shattered the myth of the superiority of NATO arms in high-intensity warfare against an actual peer competitor. Leopards, Challengers, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and other Western armored equipment burned just as easily as their Soviet-era Ukrainian counterparts.
Russia’s Grad, Uragan and Smerch multiple launch rocket artillery proved just as effective as Ukraine’s US-gifted HIMARS. NATO-standard tactical cruise missiles tended to prove no match for Russia’s Tor, Pantsir, S-300 and S-400-equipped layered air and missile defense networks.
In November, with Ukraine’s counteroffensive at a standstill and tens of thousands of soldiers killed, Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhny admitted that the conflict had reached a “stalemate.” NATO’s equipment proved insufficient, and its advice erroneous, the general said. “If you look at NATO’s textbooks and at the maths which we did, four months should have been enough time for us to have reached Crimea, to have fought in Crimea, to return from Crimea and to have gone back in and out again,” Zaluzhny complained.

Get the Lowdown on Russia’s New Nuclear Submarines: Emperor Alexander III & Krasnoyarsk
Russia’s formidable naval forces have been significantly bolstered this month by the inclusion of two new nuclear submarines, namely the Emperor Alexander III and the Krasnoyarsk.
The Imperator Aleksandr III (Emperor Alexander III) is a Project 955A (Borei-A) strategic nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine manned by 107 crew members.
The Krasnoyarsk, a Project Yasen-M nuclear-powered cruise missile submarine, is manned by a crew of 90 members.
Both submarines officially became part of the Russian Pacific Fleet earlier this month after a flag-raising ceremony in Russia’s northern port city of Severodvinsk.

a more detailed description of T-90
In which case it’s, what…30 years old with upgraded specs?
Okay, I heard this last night, and it has been confirmed today, I have received this email from the AJA….
Yesterday, an anti-Israel convoy targeted Sydney’s Eastern suburbs. AJA received reports of vehicles flying Palestinian Arab flags. driving through Bondi Beach, Rose Bay and other suburbs of Sydney’s eastern suburbs, We received reports that abuse was shouted at people walking by, as Arabic music blared.
Occupants of cars with Palestinian Arab flags targeted Woollahra Council and stole the Israeli flag flying there. AJA has been sent several videos documenting this.
Where are the NSWaffen Police? Oh gosh, how silly of me, they’re ‘monitoring the situation’.
Now. who reckons if we Jews organised a convoy of 100 vehicles adorned with Israeli flags and wanted to drive through Lakemba, Bankstown and Punchbowl, would the NSW Police provide a personal escort and simply “monitor the situation”?
Are the eastern suburbs of Sydney now also to be classified by the NSWaffen Police as “Judenfrei”. Goodness, one wonders when the deportations will begin. All of this confirms why I now call them the NSWaffen Police. Oh despite Minns’ pretty words, he speaks pretty words because all he is a pretty face, all this is all condoned by a repugnant NSW Labor government.
What happened last night is pure intimidation. They are intimidating us Jews and they’re getting away with it because of police and government “monitoring”.
I don’t think anyone quite understands the depths of my loathing for the NSWaffen Police and government.
. That’d be the only one that didn’t go to puppy school
Not to mention ASIO.
Yes and where’s the HRC and the anti discrimination board? This is full on incitement to racial hatred.
a little bit of humour
It’s racial harassment. it’s bullying. The new establishment has proved how despicable we suspected it was.
Where’s ASIO? Oh, it’s all okay, they’re just “letting off steam”, in Jewish neighbourhoods. Perfectly kosher, pardon the pun.
I don’t buy the idea that the great society movement from the 60s onward was the cause of higher rates of black crime. The reason is that it’s impossible to know. Also, the “great migration” from the south to the north occurred from the 1920’s onward. And let’s not forget, there were Jim Crow laws that may have had the effect of keeping black crime down, especially in the South. I reckon they were always elevated when you allow for things like Jim Crow. Prior to the 60s, crime stats weren’t as good too. The great migration from the south to the northern cities continued on until the 1960s.
From the 60s onward, the upward movement in terms of economic prosperity was steeper for blacks than it was for whites. So there’s that.
This guy reckons Blacks brought with them the honor culture of southern rednecks! True.
Elijah Anderson (1999) demonstrated how the “code of the street” –
a contemporary version of the honor culture – supported high levels of
interpersonal violence among black youth in 1990s Philadelphia.
“There is a general sense that very little respect is to be had [in the
black inner city],” wrote Anderson, “and therefore everyone competes
to get what affirmation he can from what is available. The resulting
craving for respect gives people thin skins and short fuses” (p. 75).
Thomas Sowell (2005) characterized African Americans motivated
by the honor culture as the black counterpart of “white rednecks.”
“Much of the cultural pattern of Southern rednecks became the cultural
heritage of Southern blacks,” Sowell asserted, “more so than survivals
of African cultures, with which they had not been in contact for cen-
turies.” Sowell maintained that black gang members “killed for such
reasons as “Cause he look at me funny,” “Cause he give me no respect,”
and other reasons reminiscent of the touchy pride and hair-trigger
violence of rednecks and crackers in an earlier era” (pp. 27, 30).
Anti-Semitism is a mental illness. One of many that are desperately trying to normalise themselves. I want to bring back lunatic asylums. A lot of these people need to be locked up for the safety of themselves and others.
Busy looking for garage Nazis.
Now. who reckons if we Jews organised a convoy of 100 vehicles adorned with Israeli flags and wanted to drive through Lakemba, Bankstown and Punchbowl, would the NSW Police provide a personal escort and simply “monitor the situation”?
Exactly, they had a higher ranking dude warning off Lauren Southern even going and asking questions a few years back.
More double standards, pure & simple.
Saw footage of one yesterday hitting a mine. Turret upsidedown next to the wreck, which suggests the underside armour is also an issue, and the mine detonated the carousel. At least the poor crew would’ve died instantly, there’s that.
I think the T-14 Armata may’ve been designed to fix a lot of those issues, but it isn’t ready for the show yet. Getting a top line tank design to work as advertised is nearly as tough as doing it with a strike fighter, I know both the Poms and the Germans have been having similar problems.
The mad downticker disagrees. Well, he would, wouldn’t he?
This will escalate until someone dies.
And then our politicians and police forces will wring their hands, cry crocodile tears and look for “reasons”. And maybe do a “study”.
I despise them all.
Nobody here said that. We were discussing the disintegration of families.
It’s very easy to get into serious trouble with blacks in America. You have to be on your guard at all times and be a little creative in terms of how you handle a problem.
Example. Earlier this year, we were on the subway, heading back uptown, and while the train was filled, it began to empty as we progressed. I was sitting next to a 30-year-old black dude who may have been falling asleep or having a major health issue. I wasn’t sure. The dude kept leaning on me, and it was really uncomfortable. I called out to him to see if he was okay in an exaggerated voice, as I wasn’t sure if he was passing out. He woke up, looked at me, and asked in a very menacing way, What did I mean by that, and why did I ask? I said that I wasn’t sure if he was asleep and was just checking on his health as he was leaning over. I was actually concerned for him. He went from being about to kill me to thanking me for inquiring in a few seconds. Wifey was making things worse. She was sitting opposite me and telling me to go sit next to her. Possibly the worst thing to do.
I despise them all.
me too- too many of our pollimuppetts and pubic serpents work for foreign interests- not the people who elect and pay them.
My loathing of Vikpol will be close, if not greater.
Likewise I couldn’t finish watching the new Elvis movie, I also gave up after 20 minutes. It was too dark* visually and depressing artistically. It was also disjointed and hard to follow, I remember the actual contemporary reporting and this was not it. You could realistically show the man’s life without sinking into boredom.
*Whatever happened to proper movie lighting. Not only this movie but almost every recent movie seems to have been filmed using Apple phone cameras. Darkness seems to be the major feature and I’m not sure it’s deliberate or just a feature of cheap equipment.
We have a nationwide police shortage.
It appears that there are very few normal people who want to be associated with them in any way.
There is still hope for this country, however dim.
Calli,
“Lessons will have been learned”, is the usual refrain after a preventable tragedy.
It makes me so angry.
If it’s any consolation, you and Cassie are not alone.
No it’s not, Beaugy. It’s deliberate intimidation by Jew-haters in the West designed to make Jews and Christians fearful of expressing themselves in public and fearful for their own safety and that of their children.
“Mental illness” is a cop-out. This is a paramilitary action in the West by Hamas and Hezbollah and their useful idiots.
State police forces need to stop being weak cowards, do their jobs and start arresting terrorist activists. Until they do, the Australian community has legitimate fears for its safety.
PS: Labor governments reduce public safety whenever they’re elected — every single time.
It would be classed as too provocative. Police would suddenly discover they had legal power to stop all the political convoys.
Not the cause, but a significant factor, JC.
The link between single parent (female) families and black youth gang crime is fairly well established. Male youths without a functioning father present gravitate to gangs to find authority figures and role models.
This will escalate until someone dies.
Yes, In Europe and the USA, Jewish schools, synagogues and communal organisations have been attacked over the decades, and Jewish men, Jewish women and Jewish children have been murdered in cold blood (remember Toulouse).
And then our politicians and police forces will wring their hands, cry crocodile tears and look for “reasons”. And maybe do a “study”.
Yes, it’ll quickly move from “monitoring” to “mental illness” to “study”.
I despise them all.”
Yes, as do I.
Dunno about others but I’ll be quite happy to see Peter Dutton as PM in May 2025. I won’t just be happier, more importantly I’ll feel a lot safer, and at least Dutton, unlike Sleazy, is NO Jew hater.
Welfare was mentioned in your comment and I think Roger mentioned it too. The big welfare push occurred from the 60s.

Senior NSW Jewish leaders need to complain to the HRC. Force the HRC to act or discredit themselves. If they ignore the complaint, the HRC will lose what little credibility it might have.
Salvatore, Iron Publican inquired at 12.22pm if he is the only person who does not know a Jew, has never met one.
I find that remarkable. I am from a large Irish Catholic family of 8 siblings, 47 direct 1st cousins plus the extended clan. My husband is Scots Presbyterian, an only child, with only four 1st cousins. Religious bigotry was still a thing when we were born post WW2.
One of my sisters has a Jewish husband, the son of Holocaust survivors now deceased, and two children who are not Jewish in the technical sense, are baptised Catholic but have a strong affiliation with their Jewish descent.
The spouse and I have spent our entire professional lives in the media and creative industries, among our closest lifelong friends is David, son of a Jewish mother and Christian father, godfather to our daughter, and one of the funniest, most loyal men we have ever met.
At this stage of life in our 60s-70s, we seem to have met and kept good friendships with lots of people from Jewish backgrounds. How has that passed you by?
Nothing to do with race and everything to do with culture
But were they always like that and held back by heavy duty policing and factors like Jim Crow or was it progressive policies?
Roger, believe it or not some of the harshest people coming out with policies against black criminals were lefties up to the 90s.
Ironically, there’s a video of Hiden enthusiastically supporting harsh penalties for crack use during his time as senator. Whites used coke and penalties were much lighter.
Also, I’ve read that blacks always had a history of fathers going AWAL.
In a moment of weakness I have joined my wife at Chadstone Boxing Day sales. This is my first time. How bad could it be? ….well very is the answer. The horror. The humanity. What is to become of me? If I do not make it out alive, will someone send a note to my Dearest Albo and tell him, sob…, tell him….sniff, tell him he’s a c@$t!
Russian Lit.
And Quiet Flows the Don or Quietly Flows the Don (????? ???, lit. “The Quiet Don”) is 4-volume epic novel by Russian writer Mikhail Aleksandrovich Sholokhov. The 1st three volumes were written from 1925 to ’32 & published in the Soviet magazine October in 1928–32. The 4th volume was finished in 1940. The English translation of the 1st three volumes appeared under this title in 1934. The novel is considered one of the most significant works of Russian literature in the 20th century. It depicts the lives & struggles of Don Cossacks during WWI, the Russian Revolution & Russian Civil War. In 1965, Sholokhov was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. The authorship of the novel is contested by some literary critics & historians, who believe it wasn’t entirely written by Sholokhov. However, following the discovery of the manuscript, the consensus is that the work is, in fact, Sholokhov’s.
At this stage of life in our 60s-70s, we seem to have met and kept good friendships with lots of people from Jewish backgrounds. How has that passed you by?”
I think it depends on where you grow up and live.
1964 & ’65.
Aka the program to create The Great Society via the elimination of poverty after a speech by LBJ in ’64.
Good Lord! Have you lost your senses, man? Let that be a lesson; if you have the urge to be chivalrous, stay home and do the ironing.
Was welfare offered to all broken homes or just blacks? I don’t know, but I suspect it was offered to all. If that’s the case why did black fathers do a runner and not white fathers, at least not as much? As I said, illegitimacy has always been a factor in the black hood. It’s also the case in Africa too. It’s historically interesting, but I also think it would be impossible to know for certain.
Fair Shake, the Chadstone shopping centre on Boxing Day offers goods at 25-50% of the price on the tag on Friday.
The desire to acquire goods at the best possible price is a function of the free market and means you are a healthy, well-adjusted person.
Hope you got something good!
I know, JC.
Also see Kamala Harris in CA more recently.
But they’re not that interested in addressing root causes.
For them it’s an issue to exploit for political gain.
In fact, having a permanent, criminalised underclass can be very useful to progressives in several ways.
That wasn’t Johnson’s intent, I believe, but that’s how it’s turned out.
I watched an interview with Marcia Hines on Sky where she described how she started singing in a church choir while still a child. She explained that during her childhood all black families had a strong connection to their local church and children were taught to be respectful and that hard work is the norm. It’s hard to tell to what extent welfare payments destroyed the family in the black communities and how much was the fault of hippiedom.
Hamas supporters protested at Chadstone today.
Made international news.
A lot of it was targeted in connection with accompanying civil rights legislation.
Cassie- love and fate- how long did take you to read it.
Further, the theme of industrialisation effect on atomic energy on people – wasthis theme evident or obscured.
Bazinga, if I can be of any further assistance in your pondering please let me know.
There are broader cultural aspects, because while white/other families disintegrated more slowly, they nevertheless did fall apart as well.
Those broader cultural aspects might include ethnicity and geographical location, for example.
A couple of things other than blaming welfare policies and the disintegration of black families, both of which have played a part. The first is the concentration of violence in the US. John Lott’s team have done several studies showing violence, gun and otherwise are concentrated in the US:
Figure 1 illustrates how few counties have a significant number of murders. Figure 3 further illustrates that with a cumulative perspective. 54% of counties have zero murders, 69% have at most one murder, 76% have at most two murders, and so on. To put it differently, only the top four percent of the counties have 16 or more murders.
In 2014, the murder rate was 4.4 per 100,000 people. If the 1% of the counties with the worst number of murders somehow were to become a separate country, the murder rate in the rest of the US would have been only 3.4 in 2014. Removing the worst 2% or 5% would have reduced the US rate to just 3.06 or 2.56 per 100,000, respectively.
These areas of concentrated violence are all lower class democrat areas which also have high concentration of blacks.
The second, much more controversial idea was put forward several years ago by a Macquarie Uni law professor who concluded that black cultures, not just in the US, were more violent than non-black society. The professor received little support from the media. Nor did he mention Hitler or Stalin.
Indeed Tom. Attributing blame on others and jealousy is a universal human trait.
Okay. My understanding of this aspect of welfare went towards revitalizing black hoods in a general sense, such as building stuff like hospitals etc. I always had the impression that personalized welfare went to all.
promise, it’s only for an hour
seriously, I only want to look at one top
you could do with some new jeans too
oh … I need to go and look at one pair of shoes
time starts to run backwards and 1 hour turns into 5
I shall pray for your soul
No matter what state police forces decide to do I’m pretty certain that ASIO would be able to override them and insist on a more vigorous approach. I blame Albo as he has the power to direct ASIO or let them off the hook as he has done.
I was a little uncomfortable suggesting that, but is it learned behavior or innate? Murder rates in the US are much lower than in South America, which is the murder continent of the world. One time, I read Brazil has an astonishing murder rate and even Brazil is lower than some of the other countries in the region. A large number of people in Brazil have a black background too.

Thank you for the link to Crisis magazine and the summary of Dovervesky novels.
The one about the intellectual who has never met a worker is exactly what it s today.
I’ll have to follow that up, JC.
I think there was a general safety net with targeted programs added in the 1960s, much as we now have here with indigenous only welfare provisions.
Okay Rog. Thanks
Is your life so without purpose that you’d subject yourself to the Boxing Day “sales”?
Isn’t this what online shopping is for?
Cats – emerging from the Christmas Excesses – there is nothing quite like filling the belly with as much tastee foodstuffs as is humanly possible without going the full Mr Creosote.
Lizzee and Mike – you legends. 🙂
ASIO work with state police forces as required (for example they depend upon the AFP and the state forces for the power to arrest & detain suspects) but they have no statutory power to “override” them.
Chadstone Shopping Centre is owned by Gandels.
“I think it depends on where you grow up and live.”
True Cassie.
I grew up in a houso area in the very outer Western suburbs of Sydney. Lots of every nationality you can think of, but mostly Catholics and Anglicans. Some Dutch Lutherans, but only found that out long after I had left school. The Italians didn’t mix much as all their kids went to Catholic schools. My parents couldn’t afford that even though Catholic schools cost a lot less than Anglican.
When I made my way into Sydney, I met a lot of people, but again, unless someone said they were Jewish, you wouldn’t know. At that time, you were far more likely to be asked what Star Sign you were than what religion you were. When I went bush, didn’t meet any Jews out there. Pretty sure there aren’t many, or indeed any where I live now.
When I had my stall at the markets, the strawberry grower was Israeli, but I don’t know if he was Jewish or not. To ask, to my mind, would have felt almost as if it was a judgement. When I have been asked my country of origin, after I say which country, no one has ever asked me what my religion is.
From the little I have learned, most Jewish people tend to live in higher density areas.
A simple way to know if there are any locally would be if there were a Synagogue in the area. Very rare I would venture in the outer suburbs and the bush.
Ethnicities tended to live in the same suburbs. Cabramatta, until the late seventies, was known as Wogamatta. Lol. We jokingly said “spot the aussie”. After the influx of boat people, within ten years the name changed to Vietnamatta.
Hopefully the run this morning has vapourised some of the excess – there’s nothing like Sydneystan high humidity to make you about as grateful as it gets for air conditioning.
Which, because of the seemingly inexplicable need for year net zero is apparently essential.
You big fat hideously uglee political morons. 😡
Melbourne’s having another heatwave, and according the the BOM, today is the hottest day on record.
Just a hunch, I reckon big time hacking is going to be the star performer of 2024.

Other than Toowoomba (long since closed) I don’t think there’s ever been a synagogue in QLD outside of Brisbane and in more recent times the Gold Coast.
Well, at least it’s not owned by Gerbils – responsible as they are, for the worming and the broiling. 😕
