Well, Canadian women caught short on tampons and still having to buy them will know now that a quick trip to the mens will see them through.

Which should bring up the question of why trans-things should get for free what others have to pay for. But doesn’t, because shut up.

Having driven about 1,400km in 3 days I can safely say, without fear of contradiction, that all Ford Ranger drivers are total knobs.

The best one today on the drive back to the country estate was some dick in a little red Volvo.
Passed us and another guy well behind us at light speed in the pissing rain.
What alerted me to his approach was the blind spot monitor flashing.
I was seriously impressed with the Sporty Beemer tech.
The sensors must have picked him up and figured out he was coming at light speed so started going off when he was about 100 metres behind me.
In the rain.

Yes, but did they have a simple but racist chant that can fit on a piece of card-board? One that even the densest of ‘students’ can recall and regurgitate?

Because otherwise it just doesn’t rate the world’s attention.

Lest there be confusion regarding my last post regarding the Muslim murder of Christians on Christmas, it was in no way to lessen the horrific attacks on Jews on 7 Oct nor the disgusting protests which have occurred since.

Rather it was to point out the tendency of many in western society to latch on to the first shiny object they are presented with (Gaza good, Jews evil) and the fact that they won’t go out of their way to investigate the truth (Hamas? Boko Haram? Who dey?).

Two funny little episodes on our travels today:-
1. Waiting at the baggage carousel. An Asian couple beside us with a little girl who becomes very animated when their case comes out, jumping up and down, squealing with delight and applauding enthusiastically. Mrs P – “I take it you travel with Qantas a lot?”
2. Cousin Filfy-Rich booked his regular driver to take us to Mascot. Driver turns up in a Sporty Beemer as big as a whale. On the trip he tells us he carts a lot of sports and TeeVee personalities around. I couldn’t resist. “Did you drive Lisa Wilkinson to Court?”.
His reply? “I’ve been driving people around for thirty years. There are only two people I will refuse to drive.”

Former Democratic lawmaker-turned-Independent Tulsi Gabbard has finally responded to rumors and reports that she is also under consideration to become Donald Trump’s 2024 running mate.

The 42-year-old made an appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity” and admitted she would definitely consider it if she is eventually approached by the former president.

Another Fox News star, Greg Gutfeld, interestingly enough, has even gone so far as to predict that Gabbard will be Trump’s choice.

It’s very ironic that Palestinian supporters and lefties accuse Israel of “colonisation.”

Muslims are very arguably the greatest colonisers in the history of the world, and nearly always by the most violent and murderous means (80 million plus killed by them in India alone).

Only in a handful of cases did the indigenous people successfully fight back and ultimately drive them out, as was the case with Spain and the Balkans.

Of course you’ll hear none of this from the left.

Massive Dark Hole Opens in the Sun – We are in a Solar MINIMUM

“An enormous dark hole has opened up in the surface of the sun, emitting streams of unusually fast radiation, known as solar wind, right at Earth. The size of the temporary gap is wider than 60 Earths and extraordinary at this stage of the solar cycle. This phenomenon, known as a coronal hole, took shape near the sun’s equator on December 2 and reached its maximum width of around 497,000 miles (800,000 kilometers) within 24 hours. Since December 4, the solar void has been pointing directly at Earth. Experts initially predicted this most recent hole could spark a moderate geomagnetic storm that could trigger radio blackouts and strong auroral displays. Solar winds have been less intense than expected, so the resulting storm has only weakened.

For most of its history, science believed the sun’s output was constant. They finally realized that a thermal dynamic cycle beats like your heart so the sun could not exist without a steady outflow of energy. One degree less, and it would blow itself out. Hence, it is cyclical, rising and falling in intensity.

The eleven-year cycle in sunspots itself builds in intensity like the Economic Confidence Model (ECM), reaching “grand maxima” and “grand minima” over the course of 300 years. The last grand maximum peaked in 1958, after which the sun has been steadily quieting down. We have seen sun spot activity decrease at its steepest in 9,300 years, but the climate change zealots refuse to acknowledge naturally occurring cyclical weather patterns.

The last Maunder Minimum, during which the sun languished for seventy years, took place from 1645 to 1715 when the sun’s brightness declined and the number of sunspots collapsed. In fact, fewer than 50 sunspots were observed within a 28-year period. Parts of the world became so cold that the period was called the Little Ice Age, which lasted from about 1300 to 1850. Now, a Solar Minimum does not mean that the sun becomes colder, but rather, it changes. As sunspots fade away, we enter a Solar Minimum.

The media, owned and run by the globalists, continues to promote that we are in a period of a Solar Maximum that allegedly began in 2019. Yet there has been a decrease in sunspot activity since 2018. It is extremely rare for coronal holes to develop during a Maximum event. Furthermore, the scientists who are paid to produce studies that promote the green agenda never look at data beyond 1850.

Our model indicated we entered a Grand Minimum that overtook the sun beginning in 2020 and will last through the 2050s. This will result in diminished magnetism, infrequent sunspot production, and less ultraviolet (UV) radiation reaching Earth. This all means we are facing a global cooling period in the planet that may span 31 to 43 years.

According to the current single-dimensional analysis spewed by the climate change crowd, recently hot summers equate to global warming. They completely overlook volatility as we are in a period where the swings become more extreme. Just this week, my county in central Florida issued a weather alert for near-freezing temperatures. Last Christmas Eve, temperatures dropped to near-freezing conditions. In fact, much of my area is now considered sub-tropical rather than tropical, as overnight conditions occasionally freeze.”

The common gastro-intestinal nematodes of camel are Haemonchus, Nematodirella, Nematodirus, Trichostrogylus, Strogyloides, Ostertagia, Marshallagia, Cooperia, Trichuris and Camelostrongylus.

These things are not farmed in the manner of cattle. They are rounded up wild after years in the Central Australian desert before being knocked off and hacked up.

For pet meat. After that meat is boiled to buggery so the hounds don’t get metre-long worms in them.

I do not know what promotional clips, for that they are, are being flogged on the socials on this subject. I will say, though, that any ‘camel steaks’ handed to the tourists in exchange for cash are almost certainly not from camels.

After 27 years in the sin bin, Joy is returning to Sydney’s mean streets
Michael Koziol
By Michael Koziol
December 27, 2023 — 11.30am

Listen to this article
5 min

For about 18 months in the mid-1990s, Loui Fraser’s sculpture “Joy” stood proudly at the corner of Yurong and Stanley streets in Darlinghurst. It was believed to be the world’s only public statue of a sex worker – or prostitute, as she was called then.

Joy, who leant casually against a red door frame smoking a cigarette, was a tribute to the ladies of the night who had long worked the nearby brothels. But when she was installed in November 1995, she was not welcomed by all.

“We find it offensive to the eye,” Yurong Street resident and local artist Wendy Littlewood told the Herald at the time. The legendary Beppi Polese, then owner of Beppi’s restaurant just metres away, also reportedly complained to the local council.

The statue was vandalised several times, including by the grieving mother of a dead sex worker who bore an uncanny resemblance to Joy. Eventually, she was removed by the South Sydney City Council and gifted to Macquarie University’s Sculpture Park, where she has lived since.

But thanks to a long campaign by sex worker advocate Julie Bates and historian Catherine Freyne, Joy is now set to return to the mean streets of Darlinghurst. Following efforts by Labor councillor Linda Scott, the City of Sydney council agreed to pursue the sculpture’s reinstatement.

“Joy was a beloved sculpture, torn down just as Sydney’s sex workers emerged from the dark to become safe, legal and regulated,” Scott said. “Sydney needs more statues of women, especially working women who represent the stories of the real history of our city.”

However, bringing Joy back is no simple task. Macquarie University owns and wishes to keep the original, which is thought too fragile to reinstate. But the university says it is happy to lend the sculpture back to the City of Sydney to create a bronze cast.

Now 76 and living in Byron Bay, Fraser says returning Joy to her rightful home in East Sydney is a culmination of her life’s work. “I am just so thrilled. It means a lot to me, this sculpture,” she said. “We need sculptures like this in Sydney. We’ve got too many Queen Victorias and Captain Cooks. These women are historically important to that particular area.”

Sculptor Loui Fraser with Joy in 1997. Following acts of vandalism, the sculpture was remade with Joy’s arms folded instead of smoking a cigarette.Credit: Rick Stevens

Fraser had a property in the neighbourhood in the 1990s and often saw ladies standing in their brothel doorways. To her, it was obvious what the corner of Stanley and Yurong streets needed.

“It wasn’t that I set out to do a sculpture of a prostitute and then found a spot – the spot spoke to me, and told me what needed to be there.”

Nor did the locals hate Joy, Fraser said, despite the occasional acts of vandalism. People liked her. Tourist buses stopped nearby to let people take photographs with her. “Mainly it was love.”

Also – as mentioned – that leg and backstrap would have had the shit boiled out of them in giant coppers before they went near the cool room.

Finally, if the camel snags were that great they wouldn’t be covered in two inches of onions and half a litre of sauce before the aforementioned pumpkinhead fed them to his own children.

From the 1920s onwards unions in the West were infiltrated by communist party members who often took their orders directly from Moscow. From time to time, such as during the 1950s McCarthy era USA or when conservative Catholic unions fought against communism in Australia, there were ebbs.
But their mission was to create havoc. And they did.
We went from being the most impressive manufacturing countries in history to giving most of it away.
There is no victory in this. The communists got what they wanted. In order to avoid communist agitation in manufacturing the firms offshored to… a communist country. In other words, we lost. We failed. We caved.
During that time, from the 1920s infiltration until now, not only have we lost most of our manufacturing industries, but government spending has gone from less than 10% of the economy to around 40% and growing.
The rat bags who sabotaged our industries did not go away either. They got positions in academia and politics and continued on with their sabotage in new and more wonderful ways. You may be familiar with some of their work: DEI. Net Zero. Leftist judicial appointments.
..
The make up of the economy changed in four main ways during this time: manufacturing went from 25% of the economy to around ten. In order to cope with the increased regulatory burden imposed by the activists through the much enlarged government, financial and insurance sectors doubled and services to business tripled.
This isn’t to say that at the same time there were not other forces at work, less sinister ones. China moved hundreds of millions of peasants off the land and were going to have their Industrial Revolution regardless of our decisions, once the evils of Maoism were curtailed.
Mining and agriculture developed different methods of labour use than manufacturing and may have been more resistant to industrial sabotage. And many other factors.

When was the last time Tasmania built a dam?

‘Battery state’ energy generation warning for Tasmania

EXCLUSIVE
By MATTHEW DENHOLM
TASMANIA CORRESPONDENT
7:28PM DECEMBER 27, 2023

Tasmania does not have enough energy generation to expand industries, transition from gas and shift to electric cars, the boss of Australia’s largest generator of renewable energy has warned.

The island state prides itself on being self-sufficient in 100 per cent renewable energy – hydro-electricity supplemented by wind — and is pitching a plan to become “the battery of the nation”.

However, Hydro Tasmania chief executive Ian Brooksbank told The Australian simply providing Tasmania’s own future needs would require new generation, most likely from wind.

“For future demand, whether it’s electrification of the economy in terms of residents degasifying cooking, heating and driving electrical cars, or industry converting its gas and coal processes to some form of electro-boilers, there will need to be an expansion of the renewable energy generation in the state,” Mr Brooksbank said.

Major industrial users have reported being unable to secure large increases in energy supply from Hydro Tasmania, but the government has rejected claims by business groups and the Labor opposition of an energy crisis.

Mr Brooksbank said the state’s current needs could be met, but he confirmed industries seeking 50MW or more would have to wait for new generation.

“In an average year we receive about 9000GwH of energy in the form of rain (in hydro dams) and state demand is nudging 11,000GwH,” he said. “The difference is made up by the wind farms and the ability to trade or to pass energy across (undersea power cable) Basslink.

“In an average year of average rainfall and average wind, we’re neither importing nor exporting energy for energy security needs, so there is enough energy in the system today to satisfy existing demand.

“We get approached by all organisations that want a large amount of power … they all know that hydro is the source of firming and that new variable renewable generation, predominantly wind turbines, will be the source of the energy that they need.”

He played down the prospect of industry – including the fledgling green hydrogen sector – being held back by a lack of additional power supply.

“An existing consumer like a major industrial (has) a longer path time to get from burning gas to something consuming electricity,” he said. “The time frames they are talking about to us seem to sit quite nicely with the time frames for wind development in the majority of cases.”

He confirmed one exception was the Boyer Norske Skog paper mill, northwest of Hobart, which has reported being unable to secure a further 50MW to run new electric boilers.

Labor energy spokesman Dean Winter said Norske Skog was just one of 10 companies that had been told they could not access 50MW of additional power.

“That’s investment and jobs that can’t happen,” Mr Winter told The Australian.

“Major industrials have been the bedrock of Tasmania’s economy for decades. They want more power but they can’t get access to it at any price.

“Our historic investment in hydro-electric power should mean that Tasmania is in prime position to take advantage of the global push to renewable energy, but its taking too long to get approval for new projects.”

Mr Brooksbank also defended the troubled Marinus Link project, a proposed second cable under Bass Strait to allow Tasmania to develop and export more renewables to the mainland. Some energy analysts believe the $3bn-plus project does not stack up financially compared to expanded renewable generation and battery storage on the mainland.

However, Mr Brooksbank said batteries could not deliver the deep storage offered by Tasmania’s hydro system. “Battery storage is still two to four hours of storage – I can’t see a battery solution being able to last, say, 20 hours of generation any time in the near future,” he said.

If the first stage of Marinus proceeds, Hydro Tasmania is proposing to upgrade Tarraleah hydro scheme and other stations, providing up to an additional 170MW.

If a second Marinus cable is added, it would also build a new 750MW pumped hydro scheme at Lake Cethana, delivering 20 hours of storage.

The make up of the economy changed in four main ways during this time: manufacturing went from 25% of the economy to around ten. In order to cope with the increased regulatory burden imposed by the activists through the much enlarged government, financial and insurance sectors doubled and services to business tripled.

Agreed, I find it slightly amusing that some here look at the problem from the arse end.
Instead of getting rid of the burden of unions and government bureaucracy they blame the entrepreneurs for giving in. Pissing against the wind is futile.

I find there is a healthy midway in trade where we could maintain a manufactuing section and still import goods.
Where there is no will there is no way.

You pay! You pay now!

Cheers.

Oh my wordy lordy. That’s a more blatant cash-grab attempt than the Daily Expose.

White House Insists Media Praises Bidenomics

LOL. What Dick Heads. More like Biden Comics –

“News outlets are circulating that the White House is “deeply frustrated” that the media is not glorifying the unseen success of Bidenomics. A source told the Hill that meetings are taking place to discuss how they can gaslight the public into believing that the Biden Administration has improved Americans’ financial situation.

“The meetings are intended to discuss messaging on his age and his accomplishments. There has been concern among his inner circle that the messaging has not been strong or consistent enough to break through with the public,” the anonymous source told the Hill. The majority of Democrats even do not want Biden in office, but the establishment will ensure he remains in power so that they can pull the strings.

We had Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen claim most Americans are happy with their financial situation. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, America’s full-time gas lighter, continues to defend Bidenomics and celebrates imaginary victories. “Coming out of the pandemic, when the president walked into this administration, the economy was in a tailspin, it was, and so the president did everything that he can to make sure that we get this economy back on track,” she recently stated. This is on track with the Build Back Better agenda that Biden originally campaigned on. Burn the nation to the ground and celebrate as it is rebuilt into something unrecognizable. The economy was in a tailspin due to the pandemic and lockdowns. Biden kept COVID restrictions in place for as long as possible and then celebrated once lifted. So now he believes he created a robust workforce when more people than ever before are working numerous jobs to make ends meet.

Then they claim that the rallies in the markets are due to Biden’s policies, which is simply untrue. Capital has been fleeing to the USD amid war. We recently saw the Dow make new highs, which is indicative of the big money, indicating that foreign investments are reaching the US. Biden’s policies have cause the public to lose confidence in the public sector completely. Hence, money is pouring into equities instead of treasuries as they are no longer safe.

You cannot pull the wool over our eyes. We will not fall for the gaslighting BS as Biden desperately attempts to find ANYTHING to campaign on. Bidenomics is a failure.”

We have to love alternative history lessons. Now it’s , The wussians did it.

The reason Australia became a federation was because Victoria demanded protectionism against free trade NSW. It crucified the nation into becoming a shithole saved only by efficient mining and agriculture.
Let’s also not forget the international harvester case.
By the 80s that system was going to take us into long term poverty in the same way as Argentina. The Hawke government was many bad things but opening up wasn’t one of them.

China’s move away from communism was wasn’t government directed, but actually a massive move towards capitalism, similar to the Industrial Revolution. To suggest it was mostly government directed is truly stupid. China lost its way with Xi and is now paying the price.

Cheap labor is but one important input. If it was the only one, Mali would be a manufacturing powerhouse. It’s not.

Simplistic ideas are funny.

Lol, we saw an example of that earlier. If only entrepreneurs were brave.

What would be needed.

1. Cheap and abundant energy
2. Loose and competitive labour markets ( see right to work states in the US).
3. No risk to capital from the state suddenly changing the rules.
4. Available labor thats properly trained
5. Low tax regime.
6. Allowing capital equipment to be fully charged off in year one.
7. Low borrowing or no borrowing by the state which crowds out the private sector.
8. Cheap land. Expensive land is poison to an economy as it impacts all sorts of costs.
9. Ban unions and or treat them the same way as business with respect to price collusion. Naaa just ban them 🙂

Thanks Tom! That one from Knight is fun, and reminded me of this story from a few weeks ago.

Christmas crackers lose their ‘crack’ – for the sake of the environment (7 Dec)

Alliance National, one of Britain’s biggest catering suppliers, has announced it will offer only environmentally friendly “crackless” crackers to its customers, which include dozens of care homes, hotels, pubs and restaurants across the country.

The new crackers come with a note that urges users to “make some noise” before informing them that “we have removed the snap from this cracker to ensure it is fully recyclable”.

Greenery is getting sillier, if that is possible. Crackless crackers that you have to make a noise yourself when you pull them? It’s like the days on AAR weekends when you had to go around shouting *bang!* because you didn’t have any blanks.

On the crackers losing their “bang”…

It’s simply another example of how the new religion seeks to vacuum all the joy out of normal people’s lives and humiliate them as they suck away. It isn’t enough to deliver death by a thousand cuts for these doctrinaire dictators.

Yesterday, along with a very loud “crack” I became the proud owner of a tiny, but effective, water pistol (needless to say I immediately filled it and started annoying my family). It will come in useful later in the week when the grandies arrive. I know, for all their expensive Christmas gadgetry, they will want “turns” on my Christmas cracker pistol. Stay tuned for developments. 😀

The muslims of Australia don’t march because they care about other muslims.

The big problem in the West can be nailed down to one indisputable fact, that we have taken in far too many people who profess and practise a medieval death cult which is, at its heart, a Jew and Christian hating ideology masquerading as a religion.

I don’t know whether it’s too late, I’d like to think it isn’t too late, but I just don’t know.

Like a lethal cocktail, this problem is made worse by the activities of the hard and no so hard left.

The mainstream churches could be and should be a bulwark against this but instead they have submitted themselves to it. No wonder so many mainstream churches are empty. Where are the bishops, archbishops and so on denouncing the absurd and offensive notion that “Jesus was a Palestinian”? Where? Their silence is deafening. Instead we’ve got some new effwit Brisbane Anglican archbishop by the name of Jeremy Greaves who said he was “struck by photographs of the nativity scene at Bethlehem’s Lutheran Evangelical church.” and then he said, “Using broken cement and paving stones, they placed the baby Jesus in the centre of a pile of debris from a collapsed home,” he said at midnight mass at St John’s Cathedral. Oh well, I don’t think that the Brisbane Anglican diocese is going to see a surge in membership any time soon. No wonder the Sydney Anglican diocese, which is healthy, is muttering words about schism!

Yeah, that Lutheran Church put a kaffiyeh around the head of the baby Jesus. How profoundly disgusting. I feel sick. Christians should be outraged.

But what do I care? I’m not a Christian. But the thing is, I do care, I want healthy Christian churches. I want people to go to church. The only way the West can be saved is by a robust Christianity.

Oh and the Oz is reporting this….

The review into the Carols by Candlelight raid by pro-Palestinian activists in Melbourne is set to examine whether any inside assistance was provided to protesters on the night.

Arts Centre Melbourne, police and the main sponsors have begun talks to determine what went wrong with the security on the night of the raid and how the activists were able to turn the event into a national embarrassment.

ACM said the matter had been referred to police and the main stakeholders in the event would fully examine how the activists were able to orchestrate the hijacking of the stage.

Insiders have privately lamented that apparently strict control of the event for participants had not been matched by the same rigour afforded to the protesters.

A Brunswick woman, 21, was arrested without charge and police ejected a second person following the Christmas Eve demonstration.

The main antagonist, who displayed the Palestinian flag on stage, was backed by anti-Israel groups as part of a nationwide protest over the war in Gaza, which was started by the Gaza-based terrorist group Hamas.

I don’t think any of us would be surprised if it is revealed the protesters had help from inside. But knowing the track record of Vic police, the investigation will hit a brick wall and stop.

Apologies for being so gloomy so early in the morning.

Haha, a lady recharges her EV and gets a shock:

How expensive is EV charging? (27 Dec)

So she has spent £21.60, at 85p per KWh. But this has only added 81 miles worth, a cost of 26.6p per mile. As she says, this is blooming ridiculous, particularly she only has a small car. Even including fuel duty, this is probably twice the cost of a diesel. It has also taken 40 minutes to charge.

More like 3x the cost of diesel or petrol for Australian cars since UK fuel is more heavily taxed.

An insider being involved is a serious issue, kind of assuming someone in security was sympathetic.
All very well but what if the protestor’s intentions were more sinister?
There’s a lot one can do even with a box cutter.

Rosie, I was wondering what act of cruelty she would do with that cutter. I’m not thinking anything as vicious as murder, just a bit of terrorist cosplay, holding it to a child and yelling her stupid slogan.

All she got to menace was David Campbell. Not quite as heroic as others are opining, just shocked. But still a trouper.

As for how she and old mate got that far, and with a weapon when bags are (presumably) searched…just do a profile on the security. The answer may be glaringly obvious and therefore heartily ignored.

anyone got any advice re smsf pros / cons? only 700 between me & missus

All I will say is that SMSF is highly competitive regarding fees now and rollovers.

I am transferring 90%+ of my funds into Stake for a rather risky position I cannot attempt in ING Direct. I am keeping some aside as the life insurance in ING Direct is very simple to follow and well priced for the level of cover I have.

Christians have known of the muslim massacres and vandalism in Africa for at least two decades, if not longer. And the persecutions in much of Asia, ranging from fines all the way to death for converts. Many churches pray for them as a matter of course, and the shocking rota of countries is growing.

They don’t matter much to the mainstream media, never really have. The Western “sky fairy” sneering class have made sure it doesn’t, and they’re only black people after all. Their lives don’t matter.

Why does everyone lie about social mobility? ……….
the ’11-plus’ – was introduced, and those scoring high-enough marks were selected for grammar schools, regardless of their parents’ means. From now on, children from different social class backgrounds would be given an equal opportunity to get to grammar schools. The only selection criterion was intellectual ability.

I was one of those kids … passed the 11+ and off to Gateshead Grammar School for Boys (County Durham) and spent my entire HS life as the 2nd poorest kid in the school (lad called “bootsie” Taylor’s family was classed as poorer than mine .. we had running water at home & inside loo .. his lot didn’t) .. never a prob with the rich kids, realised early on that most were molly coddled and easily stood over .. reputation, good or bad, counted on 1950s Gateshead schoolyards .. LOL! ..
Big difference was the education standard tho .. kids I grew up & played with went to “ordinary” HS and education-wise just went thru the motions .. learnt to read & write and that was about it .. Grammar you, actually, got taught and, mostly, absorbed it ..
Early on I wasn’t overly keen being separated from my everyday life for several hours a day but by 4th form came to understand the awareness difference between a damn “good” education and a “standard” one ………..

I would think that inside assistance to protesters is a slam dunk particularly when Arts Centre Melbourne is involved. Watching the performances, I gave up after about 20 minutes, it became obvious that it was not a Carols by Candlelight celebration of the birth of Christ, it looked like a sendup by Christian haters.

The Sydney Anglican diocese and the Presbyterians have much in common. The only differences that I can see are structural, ie. bishops rather than elders. There are probably others.

There is so much overlap at a church/parish/doctrinal level as to make them indistinguishable.

As someone who goes to fitba matches most weeks if the security at the Carols was as stringent as fitba .. she could have taken a broadsword (or flares) in without too much hassle ..
Most security checks come across entails a quick look into a barely opened backpack and a wave thru ……….. serious inspection would cause to much back-up at the turnstile and lotza complaining …!

My wife and I are off to NZ for a couple of weeks from this morning. Just went through passport and bag check. My carry on backpack which I sometimes take to work was pulled open. I didn’t realise I left a rather large steak knife in the bottom of the bag. I use it to cut oranges at lunch. I lost a handy knife but very glad they’re thorough. It’s a pity we live in such times.

An excellent example of the ‘reverse shit sandwich’ applied to j’ism (the Hun):

An Australian man, who was about to start a new life with his Lebanese wife, has been killed in an Israeli air strike with his brother.

Ibrahim Bazzi, 27, was in Bint Jbeil, in southern Lebanon, visiting Shorouk Hammoud, when a fighter jet fired missiles at the town of around 30,000 people.

His brother Ali Bazzi, 30, is also believed to have been killed in the strike.

Oh nooo! Aussie brothers gunned down by fighter jets! Just about to start a new life too!

The AFP news agency reported that Hezbollah had declared Ali Bazzi was one of its fighters.

Er. Um. Ah.

Ali Bazzi moved from Sydney to Lebanon a few years ago to get married.

And presumably to kill the infidel.

Never mind.

Ibrahim Bazzi apparently got married three years ago but left his wife in Lebanon, I wonder what date was on his return ticket.
After all he could have gotten his brother to drive her to the airport in Beirut and collected her there, if it was just about making sure she was safe.

Your elites hate you. Hun:

Households are set to be slugged more than $2500 “upfront” and businesses almost $31,000 to connect to the gas network from 2025, as a push to wean Victoria off the popular resource accelerates.

The plan by the state’s energy regulator would replace current rules that allow for network connections to be paid back over time through network charges on bills.

It comes alongside a looming ban on connections in new housing estates if they require a planning permit after January 1 next year.
