Imagine if Steven Spielberg was making Schindler’s List now under latest Hollyweird guidelines

Steyn wrote a column many moons ago about the Holocaust becoming increasingly less* about Jews and more about pinkos, wooftahs, gypsies, trade onionists and the occasional intellectually disabled imbecile – oh – and with the odd Jew in there trying to claim credit for the whole thing …

Once the last Holocaust survivor is dead, watch moozleys (aided and abetted by the braindead lamestream meeja) claim it never happened.

What the fork is it with imbeciles and their bizarre obsessions with personages of the Hebrew persuasion, for fork’s sake?

Enough.

*err, as opposed in this case to “fewer” … 😕

Surely Woollies having an “Advisory Board” for one section of the population is condescending? Such people must need lotsa help.

Where is their Board for short people? How do short customers reach the top shelves?

I have a wife who is short. The answer is to ask someone taller.

I think that Colesworths should have a tall “floor walker” on duty at all times.

Sancho:

This all works fine if:-
a) there is bonhomie and good humour among shifts and station crews to pick up shortfalls; and
b) handover documentation between shifts and down the line is meticulous.

I would add that each station has at least ONE person who is experienced at the previous and following station.
I won’t talk of a lady patient who fell in the bathroom, went through A&E and up to Cardiac Stepdown with a shortened and rotated L leg. Who was then moved to orthopaedics for an impacted # Neck of femur but because she had a dodgy (at her age expected ) rhythm. It happens that not obvious signs are missed when pressure is applied for throughput.
Unfortunately the fact that experienced employees cost more than new ones is a factor in not retaining the experienced ones.

So, if Aboriginal people can own their own homes, they’ll be responsible for maintaining those homes?

I think this is one of the biggest issues. The housing set up now for black fellas throughout the north of Australia is rent or almost free. So there is no pride or care when windows are broken and walls kicked in.
Also the loans for home ownership. It’s all very well and exciting to get the loan, but you need to be ready for 2 decades of paying it back.

Very good point.
What happens when the home is repossessed for non payment of loan?
The tenants are kicked out?
And what will happen then?
I leave that to your – and our – imagination.

From the archives. For anyone who ever pulled on a boot, or picked up a rifle.

I am over 60 and the Armed Forces think I’m too old to track down terrorists.

You can’t be older than 42 to join the military. They’ve got the whole thing arse backwards.

Instead of sending 18 – year olds, they should be sending us old guys. You shouldn’t be able to join a military unit until you’re at least 55.

For starters, researchers say 18 year olds think about sex every 10 seconds. Old guys think about sex a couple of times a month, leaving us more than 280,000 extra seconds a day to concentrate on the enemy.

Young guys haven’t lived long enough to be cranky, and a cranky soldier is a dangerous soldier. “My back hurts! I can’t sleep, I’m tired and hungry.” We ARE bad tempered and impatient and maybe killing some arsehole who richly deserves it will make us feel better and shut us up for a while.

An 18 year old doesn’t like to get up before 10 AM. Old guys have to get up early to pee, so what the Hell? Besides, like I said, I’m tired, I can’t sleep, and since I’m already up, I might as well be up killing some arsehole who richly deserves it.
If captured, we couldn’t spill the beans because we had forgotten where we put them. In fact name, rank, and serial number would be a real brainteaser. Date of birth? Haaaa – You must be joking!

Rookies would be easier for old guys. We’re used to getting screamed and yelled at and we’re used to soft food. We’ve developed an appreciation for guns. We’ve used them as an excuse to get out of the house, away from the screaming and yelling.
They could lighten up on the obstacle course though. I’ve been in combat, and I’ve never seen a twenty foot wall with a rope hanging over the side, nor did I ever do any push ups after rookies.

Actually, the running is kind of a waste of energy, too. I’ve never seen anyone outrun a bullet.

Let the young ones at at home. Let us old guys go. The last thing an enemy would want to see is a couple of million pissed off old farts, with terrible attitudes, and automatic weapons, who know the best years of their lives are behind them.
And recruiting women over 50….in menopause!!! You think MEN have attitudes?

Unless we deploy an entire Brigade – at a minimum – it’s a waste of time and resources.
We desperately need to get combat experience at at least that level to get ALL functions of a battlegroup experience as an integrated group.
There’s no point in getting an infantry company experience at warfare if the supporting arms continue to be untested.

We desperately need to get combat experience at at least that level to get ALL functions of a battlegroup experience as an integrated group.

That kind of experience is highly perishable.

As an example, when the Soviet Union/Warsaw Pact essentially broke up in 1989, the Canadian Mechanised Brigade Group in NATO was effectively at minimum notice to fight World War III. Just 18 months later, when Saddam invaded Kuwait, the Canadians contemplated offering a force to support the task of chucking him out. The Canadian Defence Department/Canadian Forces advised that they could not provide a force that would be ready to fight on short notice.

Put aside that we could not deploy an entire brigade at short notice, and have not been able to do so for many years. We might be better off providing large numbers of NCOs and junior to mid-level officers to be integrated into allied units. They could gain experience and pass on the lessons after they return.

“At Whitehouse Living, a home for seniors, we’ll make you feel like a President.”

Whatever the final outcome, looks like this election is going to be fun.

It is a dynamic visible in the 2016 election with Trump’s ‘mean tweets’: while the Democrats fire up their base with fear and anger, and finally hate, Trump uses humour and fun and even a sense of being part of a community.

Seriously, the dynamic of a group of Democrats is anger and hate directed purely outward at their enemies – they are an identifiable group purely for being similar, but that is like the way knives, forks, and spoons go together in their sections of a kitchen drawer.

Trumps followers are actually a community. They like each other. They get a thrill from doing things together. The people in the long lines waiting for his rallies become friends. At his rallies they hold barbecues, and laugh – they probably exchange recipes fer cryin’ out loud.

It must drive the Democrats nuts – all their fury, all the bad faith undergraduate sophistry which passes for ‘virtue’ that legitimises them hating as loud as their shallow lungs and papery hearts can puff out – and the MAGA mob they are certain should be thus scorched from the earth are laughing and singing and enjoying themselves.

Lefties cannot abide being laughed at. It presents an image of themselves where they can be ignored which is incompatible with their self image.

I remember watching a programme about a decade ago, during the 2012 US election and they interviewed a middle aged woman in Iowa or Wyoming. She revealed she had never voted. I was staggered. I think voluntary voting can make people lazy, or they think their vote won’t change anything. I suspect many working class people would not have bothered voting in da Voice referendum.

This is from one of Cassie’s comments from earlier this afternoon. Like Cassie I also prefer our system of compulsory voting and Americans would be better off if they went the same way.

We were lumbered with the same sex marriage because it was a mail-in plebiscite instead of a referendum which it should have been. Because it was not required to vote those who wanted it were much more motivated than those who were ambivalent and posted in their vote. I believe the result was 60% for the motion. Had it been a referendum I am certain that the final result would have been the opposite.

What the above illustrates is that when required, people will do the right thing.

New South Wales Nationals Leader Dugald Saunders says the commencement of construction at the Uungula Wind Farm near Wellington in the state’s Central West will leave a “meaningful legacy” for Australians.

Mr Saunders and Andrew Forrest are among those backing the site, calling it an important step in the state’s energy roadmap.

“It’s been an interesting ride with renewable energy, and, of course, Wellington is right smack bang in the middle of the Central West Orana Renewable Energy Zone, and this Uungula Wind Farm has been in the planning now for over five years,” Mr Saunders told Sky News Australia.

“It hasn’t just happened; this has been a long process that the former government was involved with.

“Yesterday, what I talked about was that meaningful legacy being left and, to me, that comes in a range of different things.”

Things to unpack.
1 Apart from a few exceptions the LNP is fuked.
2 The LNP’s impersonation of the liars and the filth will make the next election a nigtmare.
3 Twiggy is in the throes of seperation. His fortune will be halved. His kiddies are as green as him but apparently his ex and his former chief executive, Fiona Hick, are not hence they have both left the spew green boofhead.

This is not happening.

Which is why I suggested including NCOs in the program.

Perhaps it has changed, but my sense is that such “exciting” exchange postings tend to be reserved for officers, and senior ones at that. That is quite the wrong approach. NCOs, junior and mid-level (up to and including Majors) is the way to go, to get value from the program.

Lawyer, ex BSC. Another soul less technocrat. I believe the class divide has got worse and more pronounced in the last 20 years. For example, Canbra will prosecute NCCOs but not orificers.

Winston – you just cannot appreciate athletic li’l Rock Chicks – they’ll eat when they need to – e.g. when utterly exhausted after dancing and performing for eight hours straight.

Venue: Breakfast Creek Hotel. Do they still have a mid day cask session?

The dreaded Breakfast Creek Hotel? Have standards there improved, since young men about town were advised, that, if you went home with one of the young ladies you met there, wear two condoms – what they had, could eat clean through one condom, without pausing for breath?

He just keeps his ol’ man’s legacy going with a vengeance.

Sooner, or even more preferably sooner, all this indodgyknee bollocks needs to be brought to a long overdue end.

That is, no more mention of it, or you cop a Slazenger Bradman administered to your thick empty skull – repeatedly.

You communist knobheads.

My point is that the NCO level is where the combat/specialist skills are needed. We desperately need to get that upskilling and sorting out of inappropriate NCO’s done.

I missed that – my apologies.
I believe the NCO corps is the backbone of any fighting force.
The ability of the Wehrmacht in one of the longest retreats in modern warfare due to the ability of the NCO level to train up and galvanise raw recruits, and the ability to train the subaltern class of officers into effective battlefield commanders was responsible for lengthening the war for another 18 months.
Sometimes tragedy ensues from excellence.

That’s the contemporary iteration of Holocaust denial – universalisation of the Holocaust, removing Jews from it. Holocaust denial today has become denial of the uniqueness of the Jewish Holocaust.

I was a Chief when I had a 2 year 8 month exchange from 1982 to 1985 with the USN. I was based in Hawaii and served with EOD Group-1. It was a magnificent time in my 20 year career and resulted in some significant travel to 15 states, experimental diving to 90 metres at Panama City Florida, completed a Navy and Marine Corps parachute course at Lakehurst New Jersey, I conducted a port breakout mine clearance exercise in Subic Bay in the Philippines, I located and disposed of some unexploded depth charges in the entrance channel to Pearl Harbour, relocated a sunken USN submarine chaser/patrol craft which was once commanded by L Ron Hubbard in the entrance channel to San Diego, I was fortunate enough to get inside the Trieste Deep Submergence Vessel which went to the bottom of the Marianas Trench (35,800ft) in 1960 before it was decommissioned in 1984. I designed and built a new fly-away helium/oxygen diving gas support system which was introduced navy wide, I held the position of Command Master Diver, Work Centre Supervisor and Senior Chief of the Command. The whole experience was certainly exciting, challenging, rewarding and fulfilling.

Upon return to Australia I was not interviewed or debriefed for one minute. No one in the RAN was interested in what I learned or did… Pathetic.

In circa 15-20 years of reading Catallaxy, this is the first time that upon reading a posted comment, I’ve leaned back, hands clasped behind my head & just stared at the ceiling for several minutes.

Thank you Dot. There were many more experiences which the RAN could have benefited from including Special Forces helicopter insertion exercises and fast roping tactics and combat canoeing with the US Army 5th Special Forces Group out of Fort Bragg, Diving in 1000 ft capable ‘push/pull’ helium oxygen deep excursion diving equipment, parachuting with inflatable boat, diving equipment and weapons into the water at night, land parachuting at night with full military equipment and weapons… life was good and I had some magnificent supportive USN officers who permitted me to undertake all these things…

In rural news, we got a new battery KA-CHING and started a Fordson with a front-end loader attachment that had sat still for about ten years. Tried to lift the bucket – and split a hydraulic hose. (All the others have not split, but I bet they go once we fix this one.)
Huh.
The PTO hydraulic pump is by Lamborghini.

Drove home to the smoke and got new hose KA-CHING! And new pressure pump for house water KA-CHING!

Wow, closest lightning to our house just now. No ka-ching just BLAMMM! Batten the hatches WA cats. 42 tomorrow.

  1. It’s official: Andrew Clennell is reporting on Sky News a statement by comunications minister Michelle Rowland that the government won’t…

  2. The UK is the forerunner in displaying examples of how deep a “civilised”, country can dig its own grave. https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2024/11/23/transgender-police-officers-allowed-to-strip-search-women-in-britain/

  3. Awesome song, brilliantly performed. Interesting that Paul Simon went on to have a stellar solo career, while Art Garfunkel did…
