I had a laugh this morning as I got out of bed and headed for the loo. Elsie the cat has finally deigned to notice my existence and doesn’t run like hell when she spies me.. Obviously, she’s connected me with the miraculous appearance of food.
She was in the hallway as I came out of the bedroom and she looked at me, and you could just about see the wheels turning. “You’re not Roger” and she continues her grooming routine. Looks around at the furniture and carpet. “Nope this isn’t the normal carpet.”
“Perhaps Roger has a different skin on today. Perhaps the carpet has just inexplicitly changed colour. Perhaps my food bowls have metamorphosed into a new form of bowl.”
Face goes into the sardines.
“Nom nom nom.”
“Close enough.”
