Aotearoaian MPs sworn in fraudulently.
Hiding their disrespect like schoolchildren. Also, substantially rewriting the oaths of office. Surely there’s a clause, when someone stands for election, understanding that their ascendancy is contingent on their swearing fealty, not just making up their own sh*t, and therefore having no oath to keep?

Megan, we departed ABC Classic FM to 3MBS just before Christmas, fed up with the announcers making it all about themselves and at the same time playing large quantities of excruciating ‘modern’ music of no discernible merit, just to fill their quotas of composers who fit the ‘diversity’ criteria.

I gave up years ago. Have fond memories as a child of the light classics on ABC Melbourne, then the classics on 2FC when parliament didn’t sit. Radio literally welded to ClassicFM from the day it was launched. Could listen to Maree Nicholson and Damien Beaumont for hours reading the phone book. Actually it about when Damien left that I stopped listening.

Nick Poynder….

Admitted to the Bar in both Victoria and New South Wales (and maintaining a practice in both jurisdictions), Nick holds a Master of Laws from the University of New South Wales, a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tasmania. He was one of the first migration agents to be registered in Australia.

So he makes his money by assisting illegal immigration.. Biggest customers from middle east and Africa no doubt.

Thank you Bourne, I am in the Bass electorate and they are expanding each electorate by two seats at this election so those two may be the new candidates.

Thought today was Thursday and organised myself to visit Palazzo Conte Federico but no, it’s Wednesday and it’s closed.
Tours only at 11 am, by the family, you can also rent rooms here.
My train to Cefalu doesn’t leave til 12.55 tomorrow so I’ll be able to squeak it in. Of course I could go later but my new hosts are meeting me at the station so don’t want to inconvenience them.
Now on the other side of Ballaro, near the palazzo between the market and the ‘palace palace’ anyhow, where I haven’t strolled before.

Drinking freshly squeezed orange and lemon juice in a crummy little square around the corner where the locals, male, are sunning their faces.
Now have to find a different cultural activity for today.

Woodbridge couple charged with 83 offences after allegedly stealing patients’ and staffs’ purses at hospitals
Lauren PriceThe West Australian
Wed, 21 February 2024 10:40AM

A couple charged with a raft of burglary offences at Perth Hospitals, including stealing an elderly woman’s purse and jewellery while she was being cared for in a ward, have been remanded in custody.

George Thomsen, 43, and his 48-year-old partner Donna Tucker are facing 83 offences after allegedly breaking into hospitals around Perth and stealing belongings, and debit cards from patients, staff and visitors.

Police allege the couple, from Woodbridge, visited a ward at Royal Perth Hospital and stole a purse, containing cash and debit cards, as well as a necklace and earrings from an 82-year-old patient on January 14.

So low they could parachute out of a snake’s arzehole…

Yes, Bibi loves Israel so much, he let Pfizer do the testing on its population.

Excess deaths in some countries, has (evidently) come down, including Australia, apparently.
Maybe the Govt statisticians gave the job to BOM and they have simply “homogenised” the data.

Advance is ramping up its attack ads ahead of a by-election that could completely alter the political dynamic

9:16PM February 21, 2024
31 Comments

Labor is up against a new model of conservative campaign that it hasn’t encountered before.

Dunkley has become the testing ground, and the consequences are far reaching for both sides.

The involvement of conservative campaign outfit Advance in the March 2 by-election has the potential to not only change the local outcome but also the dynamics for the next federal election.

Advance claims a war chest of $250,000. Any third party that contributes six figures to a local campaign has the potential to have a significant impact. Labor acknowledges this.

Anybody able to link to any of these “attack ads?” Advance are certainly going for the jugular!

Some of the US legal system is in the pits. Most certainly not all.
Three things

1. Did you see what Musk did a couple of weeks ago when the Delaware court made what appeared to be a politicized judgment? In about 48 hours, he moved all incorporated Tesla entities from Delaware to Texas. It was possibly less than 48 hours.

2. Unlike Australia, states do matter, and the Red States are basically unblemished and roaring along. Incorporation, for instance, is a state matter in the US. A great deal of economic power rests with the states.

3. I see this as a phase and will hold off until November before I settle on the idea that the US has become ungovernable and risky from a political standpoint. Historically, the US has come back from these things.

The big issue with the US is the federal debt, unlike here, where the risk is private (much higher consumer debt). Failing consumer debt, especially real estate-related debt, is much more difficult to handle.

As we’ve seen in Argentina, of all places, government debt is actually quite easy to cut, or at least much easier to deal with. A political leader can simply cut it.

The appeals should reverse these diabolical decisions.

This is a one-time event, so don’t ask me again.

Queensland magistrates give bail to accused teen criminals against advice of cops in majority of cases

By lydia lynch
Queensland Political Reporter
7:58PM February 21, 2024
1 Comment

Queensland magistrates have granted bail to young offenders against the request of police in about two-thirds of cases in the past 18 months, the state’s top youth crime cop has revealed.

Giving evidence to a parliamentary inquiry into youth crime, Assistant Commissioner Andrew Massingham said courts had recently been denying bail more often, but in the past 12 to 18 months magistrates were more likely to go against the recommendation of police.

“Normally speaking, we object (to bail for) between a third and half of those people that appear before the court,” he said. “As you know, there are a number of steps we need to go through before we present those affidavits and we tend to find that the court agrees with us on about one-third of those occasions.

“My observation in recent months is that more serious repeat offenders are being kept in custody now than have previously been kept in custody.”

Asked if there needed to be more changes to bail laws, Mr Massingham said police won 12 of 16 bail appeals in the Supreme Court last year and he believed the appeal process was “working effectively enough”.

The granting of bail to serious repeat young offenders has been a major frustration of police and victim advocates for years, but intensified this month after revelations the teenager accused of killing Ipswich grandmother Vyleen White was on bail at the time of the alleged murder.

The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged last year with robbery offences.

Sources have told The Australian that police had late last year opposed bail for the teenager but he was later released.

Queensland Police Union president Ian Leavers said he believed that “we don’t have a bail problem but a judge problem”.

“It’s pretty clear on evidence given to the parliament that the judiciary ignores the advice of police,” he told The Australian

“Officers spend considerable time producing submissions with facts on offences and the actions of offenders requesting bail to be denied for the protection of the public.

“This evidence from the Acting Assistant Commissioner is confirmation of what I have been asking for, the establishment of a judicial complaints commission so magistrates can be held to account for their actions and the decisions made from the bench that result in innocent people being killed and the community being put at risk because offenders are released against the advice of frontline police.”

At the recent Local Government NSW Association meeting a resolution (no.58) was rammed through supporting drag story time events in Local Government; the resolution is framed explicitly as being in support of the LGBTQI community.

So, in response to the above, at tonight’s Cumberland Council meeting, things got heated when non-Labor raised a motion that aimed to prevent the use of Cumberland Council libraries to run drag queen storytime (I.e LGBTQI) for kids. This motion was based on feedback/representations from multicultural & conservative residents (Cumberland Council covers southwest Sydney).

Labor (majority 8 which includes 2 muslims, to 7 non-Labor) opposed this non-Labor motion.

Public gallery included LGBTQI zealots who constantly abused and heckled non-Labor Councillors during the debate.

Councillor Steve Christou (ex-Labor so Labor loathe him with a passion) was a target for much of this. Council GM called off the Council meeting quoting “health and safety concerns” for Council staff who were present.

Labor Councillors used every trick in the book to deflect, smear, ridicule, defame, filibuster, reword the motion so as to render it meaningless, and eventually through stoking disorder cause the meeting to be abandoned, so it’s uncertain what the outcome of the non-Labor motion was.

Councillor Christou stated simply that he would write to every community and religious leader in the Cumberland Council area informing them of Labor’s position, Labor Councillors didn’t like that at all.

Labor Mayor (Lisa lake) tried to frame the storytime events as “harmless pantomime” which she “remembered and enjoyed when she was a child”. Completely ignoring the LGBTQI basis.

What a clown show. Labor once again showing complete and utter contempt for normies, by supporting access by political LGBTQI, who define themselves by their sexuality, to our children.

Council elections are in September this year.

Infuriating.

And the pace of that is speeding up, with Australians on average now purchasing 56 items of clothing each year, and more than 200,000 tonnes of clothing being sent to Australian landfills annually, according to the Australian Fashion Council.

The same people concerned about this would burn all of their clothes if a CHO or a WHO spokesmuppet told them too.

You became all sour when I filleted your silly comments about those idiots you were praising for trying to close down entry to Byron Bay. I commented that I thought that sort of behavior was disgusting, as Australian citizens and even visitors have a right of entry to any town or city in the country of their choice.

Being a socialist type, which comes out often, you then proceeded to criticize wealthy people for populating the township, pejoratively referring to it as “big money.”.

Since then, you’ve become a sour puss, joining any opportunity to have a go at me, with the latest being by suggesting I’m a wife beater. Can’t get much lower.

More elderly Cats may recall that some years ago I spent some time in Uganda consulting/advising some local about setting up a workable gold mine.
They dudded me for many thousands of my fees and expenses and I had to escape that Godforsaken shithole in the dead of night with what I could carry on board the escaping aircraft.
I recently spent some weeks in South Africa assisting some old mining colleagues in some tech aspects of underground mine communication and data collection.
Interesting time there although I had very little contact with the day to day living conditions of the wider population.
Wealthy whites live very well, but are very isolated behind gated communities and protected by armed security 24 hours a day.
Guess what. The SAf company that I contracted to has disappeared into the ether with no forwarding address owing me thousands in fees and expenses.

Just like Uganda all those years ago.

I’m not sure there is such a thing as a quick learner, Pedro, certainly among rational humans. Routines and rhythms (especially cognitive ones) are calming and comforting. It’s why people will carry the same personality traits through their entire life, and only change as a response to acute trauma. I think that most people will expect the best from others; a wishful-thinking mirror, if you like. It’s a blow to the ego when we realise that we’ve been pineapple-probed again, because we interpret whatever happened as a personal weakness, even when we only had limited control over the situation.

Was all set on visiting Palazzo Butera as my cultural activity for the day but on my way was distracted by Palazzo Abatellis, now the regional gallery of Sicily.
Was built by a childless rich man of that name in 1495 and bequeathed to become a convent, until world war two, when conveniently close to the port it was bombed, post war was converted to an art gallery.
Most of the work on display is of a religious nature, sculpture, majolica and paintings, mostly from churches and convents around Palermo, some from other religious buildings in parts of Sicily and some donated by members of the Sicilian nobility including a king, a Francis of Bourbon perhaps?
Apparently there was another artist called Carravaggio, a follower of Raphael who died in Messina in 1543.
Definitely my thing and I’m glad I went.

Was just around the corner as in a couple of hundred metres from where I stayed last year, not sure why I didn’t go there, though I was working through a to do list.

But now there’s a lone warrior calling it out, well aware he is likely to implode his academic career in the process.

James Nuzzo is a Perth-based exercise scientist, currently affiliated with Edith Cowan University, busily churning out academic articles on topics like exercise neurophysiology and physical fitness testing.

But given his interest in men’s health, he’s concerned to see his discipline infiltrated by gender ideologues whining about women missing out while totally ignoring the health outcomes of boys and men.

He came across a classic example in Sports Medicine written by mainly female exercise physiology students from UNSW claiming that “gender-based violence is a blind spot for sports and exercise medical professionals”.

The UNSW scholars devoted their entire article presenting women as the only victims of interpersonal violence (IPV) – the single mention of men referred to their “socially determined privilege,” an alleged cause of violence against women.

No mention of young male victims of abuse by coaches or fellow athletes, of which there have been plenty.

And not one word about the decades of research showing men and women are victims of IPV at roughly equal rates.

Nuzzo set out to put them straight, seeking to get the true facts published in a letter in Sports Medicine. And he succeeded, but only after nearly a year of back and forth with the journal.

It helped that he combined forces with Deborah Powney, the University of Central Lancashire psychologist doing work on male victims of coercive control, and John Barry, from the Centre for Male Psychology in London.

Sports Medicine took the unusual step of submitting the letter to peer review but the three reviewers all concurred with the critique by Nuzzo and his co-authors.

Ultimately the letter was published – one small victory for proper scientific inquiry.

Their published comment arguably proved it was the UNSW academics who had the blind spot, by providing a summary of some of the best research showing equal gender rates of IPV victimisation, which also applied in sports environments. Storm in a teacup, you might conclude. Perhaps.

But it is a telling example of how the feminist takeover of our universities is playing out. We now have increasing numbers of radical young female academics and students, probably indoctrinated back in their school days, all keen on displaying their feminist credentials in their so-called scholarship.

Increasingly they are forcing this into diverse disciplines, right across all academia.

These are the teachers of the next generation, intent on convincing young women they are set for a life of persecution, abuse and discrimination.

They are teaching our future bureaucrats who’ll be setting key policies, the lawyers, judges, social workers and the politicians who will be deciding where the dollars are spent.

Their goals are transparent and the process unfolding before our eyes.

Kudos to Nuzzo for having the courage to take them on, in published articles, blogs and podcasts.

It’s infuriating to read his research and discover how much we’ve been bombarded with such things.

How often do we hear complaints about the “under representation” of female participants in research studies? Nuzzo points out that in America the Office for Research on Women’s Health was established within the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 1990, predicated on allegations of the “widespread exclusion of women in clinical trials”.

This assertion was later debunked and annual reports from the Office reveal that women constitute 55-60 per cent of all participants in NIH-funded clinical trials each year.

Yet 30 years later, the Office is flourishing, pouring out funding for women-only projects.

Another of Nuzzo’s published articles concerned bias against men’s issues in the UN and WHO. He conducted a content analysis showing consistent promotion of women’s issues while men are ignored.

The UN’s sustainable development goal on ‘gender equality’ is exclusive to females.

The organisation observes nine International Days for women’s issues/achievements and one day for men. They operate 69 Twitter accounts dedicated to women’s issues and none for men. And so it goes on.

It’s also a pleasant change to find someone looking for the good in men.

Nuzzo recently wrote a blog on Men: The Martyrs of Medicine.

He’d unearthed a 1929 medical journal article listing the names of male doctors and researchers who died as a result of acquiring the disease they were studying or medical technology they were developing.

Brave men who gave their lives trying to save others from yellow fever, typhus, bubonic plague and other infectious diseases.

It was quite a story and a welcome change to see the risk-taking now so often labelled as toxic being promoted as valuable, even inspiring.

Outstanding article, particularly the end when men died researching a disease. That’s real courage.

Council elections in the ‘ville, well our corrupt bint of a mayor is going to get another run. The only decent alternative pulled out on health reasons. It’s a 3 horse race with an exPHON guy who has no chance and an ex-Nurse from Mundingburra past retirement age who also has no chance and Hill who is protected by the state ALP & local media. Be informal vote for me.

My riding no different, another nasty bint who is one of Hill’s team or a failed ex ALP candidate who was elected in 2016 then preceded to be a door mat for Hill before finding a conscience when polls were against him. Trying to work out whether nasty language or genetalia are best for this ballot ticket.

Only upside is no Fat Bastard candidate, problem is there’s no alternative to ALP or ALP aligned as well across the city.

Think dot was mentioning the place looking like the worst toilet in Scotland. I have to agree.

SEC approves Trump Truth Social deal for up to $10 billion

Something appears way out of whack here.

There are around 2 million active Truth Social users. To give you some perspective, social media user statistics show that Twitter has about 450 million monthly active users and Facebook has 2.91 billion. So in terms of the bigger platforms –

People reckon Musk has lost 2/3rd of the valuation of the $43 billion he paid for Twitter.

If TS is supposedly carrying that sort of valuation with 2 million users then what is X at $14.3 billion doing? One of these is way out.

If Bret Weinstein and Laura Loomer can work all this out, simply by visiting the Darien Gap what odds that the intelligence services could do so too, but I guess they’re too busy facilitating it to do something about it.

Laura Loomer
@LauraLoomer

Thank you so much for your kind words!!! It’s my pleasure to be able to bring people the truth!!@catturd2

Panama and the Canal Zone is no longer neutral since it now has an “immigrant” route to invade the US, fostered and funded by the UN, CCP, and NGOs like Unicef @HIASrefugees @un. etc.

It’s now being used to attack us via migration warfare, and as I have exposed since I have been here, this is largely being done by the Chinese Communist Party which has greatly expanded in Panama.

We can take the Panama Canal back per the terms of the 1977 Carter-Torrijos Treaties, because the activities in the Canal Zone by China and the invaders poses an IMMINENT THREAT to the United States.

I want to see President Trump TAKE BACK THE PANAMA CANAL.

You won’t even believe what I have seen since I’ve been here. The footage is shocking and I would be more than happy to turn it all over to President Trump so he can see first hand. @TeamTrump

The majority of the invasion of the US is originating not in Mexico, but via the Darien Gap in Panama and the CCP has ignited the flames.

They are even helping construct new bridges so that there’s an extension of Highway 1 and a straight pathway from South America to North America.

It’s happening. And it’s all being financed by the CCP.

Scary stuff. We need to take back the Panama Canal to stop the invasion and block Chinese expansion along the Panamanian highway.

thanks heaps for posting that article. Bettina Arndt is always worth reading. It is a shame that she is mostly a lone voice fighting to help men and boys regain fairness in their lives.

ith Australians on average now purchasing 56 items of clothing each year

My average anyday wardrobe would equal about $10 .. other than underwear/socks can’t remember the last time I replaced anything else .. as stuff wears out it is demoted to cycle wear/garden wear then rags .. estimated life cycle before remnants hit the garbage bin around 5 years … most of my clothing started life elsewhere before I found it in an op-shop … LOL!

If Bret Weinstein and Laura Loomer can work all this out, simply by visiting the Darien Gap

Part one. The US needs to have real borders that are enforced.

Part two. The ones that get through the Darien Gap are not the primary concern being poor & enterprising (it’s still rape central).

Part three. The real problem are the ones that enter North America via Mexico and then cross. These are the arab & Chinese ones who are gaming the system.
Similar to the country shoppers that flew to Indonesia before boating to Oz during the Rudd-Gillard-Rudd years.

Part four. If the US enforced their southern border with their existing laws & existing resources none of this would be an issue.
But it’s the Whitehouse policy not to enforce the southern border.

WTF?
Don’t people buy a handful of things a year?
And only throw things away when they lose structural integrity?

The effect of Lisa Wilkinson’s $100,000 annual clothing allowance will skew the figures.

Just wait until Elon puts a value on Grok (the AI that twitter/X feeds).
I reckon from this point (Feb 2024) I reckon Elon will create more value in Grok than OpenAI creates from here (currently valued at $US80bill).

There a lot of (hundreds of thousands) of men doing the same.

What’s interesting is the mistakes Ardnt thinks she made in the past.

On the other hand, Shapiro and Boring aren’t helping by telling men to “man up”.

Soldier: “Sirs, this is a suicide mission”
Foch, Melchett, Haig etc: “Man up and retake Verdun!”

You only need to look at a small set of data categories to understand what the lay of the land is:

Proportion of single mothers aged 18 – 35
Proportion of women with a medicated mental illness
Proportion of women with STIs
Proportion of female initiated divorces
Proportion of divorces initiated by college educated women
Proportion of obese women

Add on top in America the pervasiveness of evil idiocy such as lifetime alimony.

There’s a clip of an Australian feminist journalist (and an obligatory Clam Forward book on the table) with short bleached blonde hair from 2020 claiming 0.0005% of all rapes by men are successfully prosecuted with a custodial sentence.

That 1 out of every 200,000 rapes.

If 200 men went to gaol each year, then there would be 40 million rapes a year.
