I reckon there’s something else, aside from the circumstantial stuff, which would have made a double moida charge viable.
There’s either something not revealed to the media, or some form of confessional evidence during interview.
All the detective novels seem to indicate that you don’t charge and remand on a double with a hunch. If there were pieces missing, you (apparently) may release and watch, and wait until that piece arrives, and then then re-arrest.
That’s what they did with the Sharp bloke that killed his wife and child with a crossbow down Frankston way, and buried them at the local tip some years back.
Recovery of the bodies (and the subsequent forensic evidence) will merely nail the coffin shut, so to speak.

Off to the soft slab now.
Take it easy, folks, and please clean up the blood; it attracts mega cockroaches.

When I joined the cat it was specialist economics discussion, erudite political discourse & debate with occasional cultural offshoots.

There is no need to steal what a percentage of the so-called opposition party is willing to give to you, for free (or maybe a handjob).
If you know you cannot compete – change the rules of the competition.
The Republicans and their Australian bogan third cousins have no desire to learn, adapt, effectively respond. They had great seats in a ViP box, so why break any sweat by actually stepping onto the field of play?
In a past life, I saw a cockroach surfing on an unflushable at a client’s home, and my first thought was: So this is where we are, huh?
Establishment ‘conservatives’: Surfing on the voters to keep their shells dry. And the voter-log? Symbiosis. (Or the perception of it).

Do these dickheads actually believe chanting “From the River to the Sea” up & down Spring street, or outside Sydney Town Hall, driving around in oversized utes with “OCT 7TH” number plates, plastering swatikas on Jewish-owned businesses, etc, is going to stop the IDF from exterminating Hamas?

To be fair, Sal, the Open Forum was always just that – an Open Forum.
There were lots more posts put up by Sinc, Steve Kates and plethora of others – all to do with economics. The forum was always a place to comment on anything and everything.
Knuckle Dragger @ 11.14pm:
Was there another Annie in the past? I’ve looked in here only recently.
A bit rough there, Sal. Let’s acknowledge the effort to correctly recall, pronounce (and sequence) six (6!) consecutive words, one of them of two syllables.
There’s never a happy ending to these things. Three lives wasted, nor am I keen on career criminals punishing other criminals.
What’s going on with the Ballarat lady?
Muddy: There’s a three-syllable word in the second line. Must cause brain-hurties for the ones who’re their own 2nd, 3rd, & 4th cousins.

Exaggerated employment related anecdotes?
I remember you complaining about speed dating, possibly in Melbourne, very economical.
The interest in the Sydney murders is driven by the fact that the alleged killer was a serving police officer, rank senior constable, and how the heck he was recruited.
This is crap.
If a third are Hamas terrorists*, and that seems a reasonable assumption (possibly more) then that means not a single civilian male adult has been killed.
Yet the streets are always swarming with men and teenage boys.
*possibly aged 16 17 18 who are officially children.
Rosie, please list all exaggerated anything I post.
Over to you ………..GO! 😃
Then you may link to me complaining, or indeed involved in any way, in speed dating in Melbourne.
We can wait for that. Being as you’re relying upon memory. 😘 🤥
Yes, I/we called Annie, but her blog name was Anne. She started off reasonably well and then descended in to the abyss about a global pedo ring I think.
Wouldn’t the murder charges be laid on the basis, that lamarre’s service weapon definitely used at the victim’s home, there was sufficient blood to indicate that death or serious injury had occurred and the dumping of bloodstained person items, in fact a great deal more personal evidence that initially available in the Sharpe case which iirc was a missing person case after the mother in law in New Zealand became suspicious about messages she was getting from her daughter and got her PP to raise the alarm?
Good get, Rosie.

HTF did Nvidia obtain a US$2 trillion valuation?
BTC – -> NVIDIA
Derived demand.
Because they make the best graphic cards for computers, are the preferred computing platform for Bitcoin mining and also in some AI applications.
What might be interesting is that early reports on the latest AMD computer CPUs indicate it represents the largest ever generation increase in computing power. That probably has already been factored into the share price.

I am being a little rhetorical. Bern and Ranga had a few things to say earlier today when I fist brought it up. I’m still astonished.
Went dinnering this evening and the conclusion was that Grok is currently the best AI in the market and Musk could end up the winner in the AI race. That’s what others said.
Musk on twitter said he had someone from Google on the phone apolosising about all the biases in their Google AI product.

I first began to hear about them when there was hot talk about software for self- driving cars and how they were very advanced.
This week, the topic was that Nvidia is manufacturing very high end chips for AI driven software.
One of the worst own goals we’ve ever seen in the high tech field. The top-end management should be receiving the walking papers asap. The problem is the woke tech team there.
The reports I’ve seen are appalling. How could they be so stupid as to let that happen? New software should be tested before being released into the wild. It is as if no-one higher up looked or worse, approved.
Not my problem though. I use Edge with Bing AI. Haven’t seen anything that woke but my searches don’t touch those areas.
Nvida have done graphics cards for years. They are basically the Intel of graphics cards. Don’t ask me what a graphics card does but every computer has one.
More economics. 🙂

LOL. That’s what I heard from some of the guys at the dinner when I raised the Nvidia subject. They kept talking about graphic cards and I bet none of them knew what it meant.
One dude said they’re huge in some tech segment of the games market.
Telstra will be out of action for a week at least. The entire system will be down.
The cutest little one on the right has better manners than most humans.
Nvidia dominates the games graphic card market. Many computers don’t have graphic cards, instead the graphics computing chip is integrated into the CPU. AMD run a distant second on the graphic card market but their cards are cheaper and for most gamers will deliver good performance.
The big change coming is that Intel but moreso AMD now make CPU integrated graphics computing chips with enough power to eliminate most low end video cards. Market wise that is of little relevance to AMD and Nividia because I suspect their bucks are made in the rest of the market. Recently Intel entered the graphic card market. Not sure why Intel chose to do that, can’t make sense of it.
The other big graphics card market is consoles. I know little about that but it is a very big segment, bigger than computers. The younger generations seem to buy laptops with integrated graphics for work and rely on consoles for games.
Teh Paywallian media diary column reporting Ita left the ALPBC Board without fanfare. I’m not surprised it’s as bad as ever. Small shoes to fill.

It normally takes 15% to 20% before muslims start rioting bombing etc.
But it looks like – due to the gutlessness of our police and politicians that this level of violence will happen at the 5% mark.
2024 will be a watershed year, for Australia, for the West, and for Christianity.
BTW high end graphic cards are very expensive. A top tier Nvidia graphics card is ~$3,000.
Miserable day here, again.
Low-lying clouds even touching the higher part of the town.
I guess climbing La Rocca isn’t happening.
I went to mass at the two churches turned into one at the Bastion.
Doors were open and I went in to an empty church, thought oh well I’ll have to go to the cathedral, then the bell rang and I realised everyone was in the church on the right hand side, which you can’t really see if you come in the left side door.
There are still two altars but the parish obviously only uses the right side one which is set up for Novus Ordo.
They opened the walls between the two churches with three sets of arches in 1961.
Not sure why there were two side by side.
Like many old Italian towns there are multiple churches and chapels, there is one sitting diagonal to the cathedral next to the steps and there was another opposite, part of the Benedictine monastery which was seized by the state in 1866 and now an exhibition space, part of a government complex.
I went to the museum yesterday too, the building and the contents a gift from the childless owner in the mid 19th century, was a school of the arts but now moved.
Coins, seals, stuffed animals, household items archaeological finds and art, the man had catholic interests.
His impressive study and library are extant but roped off.
Some of the coins and seals were tiny, they must have sieved the soil to find them. Still way more exciting than knapped rocks
Off to Taormina tomorrow.

Lol, that was the trigger for continual griping about the ticks.
Having put so much effort into having them removed, Jughead & Archie will stack on a blue at the suggestion of ticks returning.

We warned that the greatest threat to the United States was a nuclear attack in an American city – likely by a terrorist group. We proposed a Department of Homeland Security capable of dealing with three simultaneous nuclear events. That would have been a department with the discipline and training we associate with military organizations or first-class fire departments.
Now, however, we have countries getting nuclear weapons that may not care if we retaliate.
It is possible that the Iranian theocratic dictatorship would accept the exchange of Tehran for Tel Aviv as a net plus on ideological grounds.

More extreme fire danger for Vic on Wednesday.
A common theme.
Fires started by lightning in national parks creating fire cluster bombs that then engulf the surrounding farms and communities.
I wonder what may be lacking in the management of these parks?
Just heard – and can’t link.
