The State is always talking about ‘keeping you safe’.

Clearly the State is incompetent. How is a murderous lunatic like Joel Cauchi able to butcher women and children while under the watchful eye of this incompetent State.

Why is no-one accountable?

In days gone by, we locked these people up. Now we let them roam. Did you vote for that? I didn’t.

“We know that the offender in the matter suffered from mental health,” Cooke told reporters.

We are continuing to work through the profiling of the offender but very clearly to us at this stage it would appear that this is related to the mental health of the individual involved.”

They knew he was nuts and did nothing about it. I don’t know how that is protecting the people of this state.

Confirmed that it’s mental health.
We live in a society where our educated and compassionate betters expose the general public to the disturbed individuals who confront us on the streets with their rants and unhinged behaviour.
There are people to blame here but they hide behind qualifications and within government departments, relying on elected politicians to soothingly tell us there’s nothing wrong with our health system.

This will depress shopping in person even further. If the big shopping centre are not made secure they will disappear.

Strathfield Plaza post massacre being a salutary example. I avoided the place for nearly a decade post bunkum. Shoppers stayed away in their droves almost immediately and a lot of shops went out of business.

They knew he was nuts and did nothing about it. I don’t know how that is protecting the people of this state.

The legal threshold for confining people with a mental illness is quite high.

It’s a balancing act between personal liberty and community safety.

And politicians have decided that large mental institutions are too expensive to run and washed their hands of the problem.

Are you suggesting the first pattern that formed in your tiny brain stem was the image of a Danish blond sheila flipping out in a Sydney shopping centre or that of a loon calling out snack bar?

This one may be why some media were saying the perp was Jewish.

‘Got the wrong guy’: Sydney uni student wrongly named as Bondi attacker (14 Apr)

… online trolls on Saturday night wrongly identified 20-year-old UTS student Ben Cohen as the attacker, posting photos of him across social media.

The name “Benjamin Cohen” began trending on X – formerly known as Twitter – on Saturday night with 50,000 posts now made about the name.

Have you ever dealt with a schizophrenic individual who’s delusional enough to cause real damage? It’s a very confronting situation and finding qualified help is hard and painfully slow.

If the Bondi killings are only due to insanity then our health system has failed. We are no longer removing dangerously unstable people from the general population thus putting us all into danger.

The big push to de-institutionalise these people all those decades ago has led to many deaths from this sort of behavior.

Just another abjectly wrong decision made by the “experts”.

It began with Ken Kesey working in the mental health ward of a veteran’s hospital c. 1960 and interviewing patients while himself under the influence of LSD, out of which developed One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, the novel which was later turned into a play and a film, the success of which is what really started the deinstitutionalisation ball rolling.

Incidentally, to obtain his drugs, Kesey unwittingly volunteered himself for an illegal CIA study into the possible use of hallucinogens in the interrogation of prisoners.

One of the most important examples of Trump’s genius was that he castrated iran by bankrupting them. His first guest to the WH was Xi who was told a few home truths including not to buy iran’s oil. Putey got the same message, a bit more forcibly, when Trump blew the shit out of Shayrat. Devoid of funds iran could not stock up on its own armaments or supply its proxies such as hamas or hezbellah. That message was complete when Trump blew up the iranian turd Soleimani. The perverted corpse with barry’s hand up his arse has thrown all this out of the window and soon iran will have the bomb. Israel really has to nuke iran now before iran get’s barry’s bomb.

So vomits dickless who looks after the milko’s kiddies. Bondi was not DV, which is a separate serious issue. This bastard did not commit DV. He belonged in an institution. The left closed down the institutions because human rights and the rate of mad sons killing rellos jumped enormously; as did the numbers of homeless. The left always look after victims like the mad, 3rd nations, trannies, muzzies etc, all of whom commit violence on the average folk about whom the left could not give a rat’s arse.

This atrocity at Bondi was just another consequence of leftie virtue signalling done by fellow dickless leftie shits.

Evidently his most recent interaction with the jacks was a ‘welfare check’, which is said to be code for behaving in such a disturbing manner in public that plod were despatched.

I will guarantee, although this won’t be disclosed for months until the tox results are published, that there will be ice in his (now very cold) system as well.

As mentioned late yesterday and this morning by several astute commenters, the combination of people wompus enough to be institutionalised, or who potentially have been institutionalised but released into the wild because human rights and handpattery, and drug use results in angry derros on city streets.

Sooner or later, one of them will act as the ex-Joel Cauchi did yesterday – and there is zero guarantee another one somewhere else won’t do the same tomorrow.

In the Shopping Centres in Makati in Manila and the Great Mall of Asia in Manila next to Manila Bay, all entry and exit points have at least two security guards armed with guns. To enter and exit, bags etc are searched and some places have the metal detector screens you have to walk through a la Airport security.

The Banks in these areas, outside the shopping precincts, all have at least two guards standing outside armed with shotguns. Then, inside the Bank there is usually an armed guard as well.

The female cop who single-handedly confronted and stopped a knife-wielding madman who killed six people at a Sydney shopping mall has been identified as a veteran officer.

Joel Cauchi ‘wasn’t right’: Reservations raised about killer before Bondi Junction attackBy Sally Rawsthorne and Perry DuffinApril 14, 2024 — 11.08am

Listen to this article
2 min
Before he went on his murderous stabbing rampage through Bondi Junction on Saturday afternoon, people had reservations about Joel Cauchi.
“He was weird … a guy who liked his knives,” said one man who recalled sharpening Cauchi’s knives when he lived in Queensland.

Speaking on condition of anonymity to protect his business, the man said he sharpened two eight-inch knives of Cauchi’s.
“He wasn’t right, he was a weird-looking cat. His words were ‘these are my everyday knives’. I thought, why? They’re not even decent knives. He wasn’t a passionate knifey, but a guy who liked his knives. I didn’t know why he said everyday knives.”
Police sources not authorised to speak publicly said Cauchi was known to police in Queensland but did not have a criminal record.

It was unclear on Sunday morning what had drawn him to the attention of police in the past. Cauchi was not known to NSW Police.
Investigators are working to establish, among other things, what he was doing in Bondi.
On Sunday, NSW Police said Cauchi had recently moved to Sydney and had rented a storage unit in the inner city.
Police believe Cauchi lived with schizophrenia. They were investigating a potential history of targeting women.

Israel war cabinet approves “powerful response” on Iranian soil

The Israel war cabinet has reportedly agreed a “powerful response” on Iranian soil which could come as soon as tonight.

Israel’s Channel 12 reported that Israel would immediately retaliate, and a senior Israeli military official pledged an unprecedented response to the Iranian attack.

Israel’s Channel 12 has told residents “not to go to bed yet” because an unprecedented attack on Iran is coming, according to an official.

Iran threatens to attack Jordan if it ‘cooperates’ with Israel: Report

Jordan will be Iran’s “next target” if it “cooperates” with Israel amid Iranian missile and drone attacks against Israel, the semi-official Fars news agency reported early Sunday, while two regional security sources said Jordanian jets downed dozens of Iranian drones flying across northern and central Jordan heading to Israel.

I’m SICK to the BACK TEETH of my ELECTRIC CAR!

The EV rout is getting embarrassing.

Germany Electric Car Sales Plummet 30% As Country Floats Idea Of Weekend Driving Ban! (13 Apr)

There’s been a drastic drop in the registration of new electric cars in Germany as sales of the “clean” electric cars have slumped nearly 30% compared to a year earlier, reports Germany’s online Blackout News …

Germany’s federal minister of transportation, Dr. Volker Wissing, is threatening to ban driving on weekends by motorists in order othe country “to meet climate goals set forth by the Climate Protection Act.”

“A reduction in traffic to help meet the climate goals would only be possible through measures that are difficult to communicate to the public, such as ‘comprehensive and indefinite driving bans on Saturdays and Sundays,’ Wissing added,” so reports Politico

Haha, good luck with that. I think he’s wissing in the pind.

When I was in looney bin after no 2 son passed away(massive depression) there was a guy who was admitted having some sort of a psychotic break. After improving enough to be released from his room, he had another break – stripped naked and ranted that God had told him women were evil and should be removed from the earth. The ladies fled and shut themselves in their rooms. He was running around and the staff couldn’t get close enough to administer a sedative. QldPlod were called and it 4 big burly plod to take him away ranting and raving.

One of the victims of the Bondi Junction stabbing is reportedly John Singleton’s daughter Dawn.

The 25 year-old daughter of the millionaire businessman is among the six people who were killed on Saturday, according to the Daily Telegraph.

She is one of three daughters he had with Julie Martin.

typically these people who climb that greasy pole take themselves very seriously, but not their work, as they prepare for their next career move

A very strange phenomenon.
Last year I went to a Wymminses Day event (don’t ask) and the common recurring theme was “fake it until you make it”.
Yeah, I get that anyone new to a job won’t be as capable or confident as a ten year veteran, but this was something more than that.
Almost an acknowledgement that a level of incompetence was OK because it was advancing the cause of the sisterhood. Furthermore, if career advancement for wymminses had a bit of collateral damage in terms of performance, well that is the price you pay for correcting the wrongs of past generations.

Channel 7 names innocent man Benjamin Cohen as Bondi Junction killer

Channel 7 has blamed “human error” for identifying the wrong man as the knife-wielding murderer who killed six people at Sydney’s Bondi Junction Westfield on Saturday.
On the network’s official 7NEWS Australia YouTube account – which has 1.66 million subscribers – the channel published a report, led by presenters Monique Wright and Michael Usher, with a caption underneath that wrongly named Benjamin Cohen as the offender.
NSW Police subsequently named 40-year-old Joel Cauchi as the killer; Benjamin Cohen had nothing to do with it whatsoever.
The Sydney man responded to Seven’s claims that he was the Bondi attacker, after being falsely named.
The five-minute clip on Seven’s YouTube channel featured an interview by Sunrise host Matt Shirvington with security expert Scott Taylor outside the Sydney shopping centre.
The caption read: “Security expert Scott Taylor joins Weekend Sunrise as new details are confirmed about the attacker, Benjamin Cohen, and his victims.”
The video was online for more than one hour and attracted thousands of views.

I hope he soaks them for Gazillions in damages.

No.
It wasn’t “human error”.
It was a result of two things.
Firstly, it stems from Britnah type TV producers who don’t bother applying the basic tenet of j’ism, which is check your sources. If asked about sources, the producer would have glibly replied “multiple credible sources on Twitter” (which was really one mischievous activist re-tweeted by several equally malicious buddies).
Secondly, there was the desperate wanting it to be true.
Ask yourself this.
?If Twitter was running riot with a rumour that Mr Stabby was Mustafa Mohammed, an Imam from the Lakemba mosque, do you think they would have just glibly pasted it into their banner headline?
No.
We would have reverted to Rule # 1 and waited until they got it in triplicate from Plod HQ.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese believes the Bondi Junction tragedy could have involved “hundreds” of deaths had Joel Cauchi been carrying a gun rather than a knife.

And this:

A heroic man who held a bollard to the Westfield knifeman and stopped him from accessing a children’s play area is Ukranian man Silas Despreaux.

Two points:

Despreaux is of course a traditional Ukranian name, and anyone who says otherwise is a liar. A damned liar, I say! And;

Does it matter where the bloke comes from? This chap, using a bollard grabbed from somewhere in the shopping centre used it – along with his physical presence – to deter Whatsisname from the Woomba from going directly into the path of multiple children in a playground. Before Whatsisname was shot and killed.

Silas Despreaux should be hoisted high on the shoulders of others, and never have to pay for another beer in his life. His background is absolutely inconsequential.

Iran Tests the Defenses – US Shoots Down the Drones

As expected, this was a test with slow-moving drones that gave hours to respond, but now Iran knows the US shot the drones down – not Israel. U.S. defense announced that they shot down the drones. The official statement: the U.S. continues to “shoot down Iranian-launched drones targeting Israel.” They added, “Our forces remain postured to provide additional defensive support and to protect U.S. forces operating in the region.”

The British Royal Air Force has now also been deployed to the Middle East, and they too are prepared to intercept any Iranian drones headed to Israel, announced the U.K.’s Secretary of State for Defense Grant Shapps.

Andrew Bolt, at the Hun.

But soon another fake claim was trending on Twitter. No, the killer was a Jewish terrorist.

Police had already said the killer, yet unnamed, was 40 years old, but trolls, many with Arabic names, now circulated the photo and name of a 20-year-old computing science student with the most Jewish of names – Benjamin Cohen.

All that Cohen shared in common with Cauchi was a beard, but that was enough.

If the Israelis themselves couldn’t stop Oct 7, Trump could not have either. Ukraine was heading there because the direction of US policy was unchanged and events in late ’21 and ’22 were reaching the moment of decision. Iran were still pursuing their missile program, etc. and the killing of Soleimani would have only convinced them of continuing to do so. Nothing much changed.

As much as I would like Trump to win the next election, I’m afraid you are right.

Nothing will change, his past performance, or lack of, or interference from the swamp will make sure of that.

Four years in office against at least 50 for the other side is a blink of an eye.
At best one can hope for is a slow down.

Courier Mail:

Bosses are being urged to protect their workers’ fertility, as climate change, rising temperatures and tight tradie shorts all add to a rapid decline in the sperm quality of Queensland men, a top expert has warned.

Dr Devini Ameratunga, who is the Clinical Lead of Fertility Preservation at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, as well as the Director of Life Fertility Clinic, has warned of a possible “spermageddon” as science around the environmental impact on male fertility becomes more clear.

In couple’s seeking help to have a baby, 50 per cent of cases are due to problems with the male’s sperm. One in nine couples of reproductive age experience fertility problems.

From “The Age.”

What the city witnessed from NSW Police inspector Amy Scott on Saturday afternoon sits in stark contrast to the decision-making paralysis that seemed to grip the commanders in the December 2014 Lindt siege.
Then, police came under sustained criticism from the hostages’ families for the delays in storming the cafe, doing so only after Monis had already fired his sawn-off shotgun three times, on the third round executing Johnson.
The coroner later found the police had grossly underestimated Monis’ capacity for violence, in part because of their mistaken belief that the gunman was conducting the siege for personal reasons rather than on behalf of Islamic State.
This was despite the fact Monis had declared allegiance to Islamic State the month before, and was demanding that his actions be publicised as an IS-inspired attack.
As Barnes later found, police were adhering to an outdated strategy that all sieges had to be handled with a “contain and negotiate” strategy, even as the danger rose hour by hour. He criticised a “lack of flexibility in approach and a lack of initiative”.
Saturday’s actions by Inspector Scott were the very antitheses of paralysis. Thus far we know little about her instructions, or whether she took the actions she did on her own initiative. We do know that she undoubtedly saved lives.

One of KD’s beloved “nuffies”.

Exactly right, although he’s not beloved by me.

This beady-eyed fat peanut actually fancied himself as being of such import that he was worthy of a prisoner exchange in the early days of the Ukranian war, which I have repeatedly said I do not care about.

Meanwhile:

There are several people here who have gone from ‘It’s X’ to It’s X because he has a beard’ to ‘It’s still X because OBVIOUSLY, you blind sheep’ to ‘I have read media reports, so I know’ to ‘Well he’s an honorary X then so it’s the same thing’ to ‘Never ever believe the media because I have been proved demonstrably wrong and it’s someone else’s fault’ within 24 hours.

Israeli sources have confirmed that Iran has hit Nevatim Air Base in the south of occupied Palestine with 15 missiles early on Sunday.

Sources reported that following this attack, this base was severely damaged and is now inoperable.

Nevatim air base is located in the south of the occupied territories in the Negev desert region and near the city of Be’er Sheva which is the main base of the F-35 fighters of the regime.

Re the Age comparison of Police responses to Lindt Cafe vs Westfield.

As Barnes later found, police were adhering to an outdated strategy that all sieges had to be handled with a “contain and negotiate” strategy, even as the danger rose hour by hour. He criticised a “lack of flexibility in approach and a lack of initiative”.

This was obvious. The equally useless Commish at the time called a presser for 6:00 a.m., clearly expecting the siege to go into hiatus until brekkie time. Man Monis didn’t get the memo and blew Tory Johnson’s head off in the early hours of the morning. The fact that several hostages escaped should have been a warning that this would cause a control-freak like Monis to spin out.

Saturday’s actions by Inspector Scott were the very antitheses of paralysis. Thus far we know little about her instructions,

She didn’t have any.
In NSW policing, that is a feature, not a bug.

… or whether she took the actions she did on her own initiative.

See above. She acted on her own initiative. Thank Christ. Those who know this sprawling shopping centre with it’s multitude of escalators know that a single officer has zero chance of containing a situation like this.

We do know that she undoubtedly saved lives.

As distinct from those running the Lindt shit-show.

Judgment day in the Lehrmann case is here – so let’s back in the judge
By stephen rice

Judgment day is upon us.
At 10.15am on Monday, Justice Michael Lee will deliver his verdict in a case that has absorbed more time, money and emotional energy from its central figure than any of them could have imagined.
In the process it has fractured the country along faultlines that sometimes look familiar.
That’s because we’ve been here before.
It was less than a year ago that a judge handed down his decision in another de facto criminal trial dressed up as a defamation case.
Justice Anthony Besanko ruled in the Federal Court that Ben Roberts-Smith had, on the balance of probabilities, committed war crimes in Afghanistan. The Full Court has yet to deliver its decision on an appeal.

But the ink was barely dry on the original judgment before the SAS soldier’s backers around the nation began to cry foul.
It was all a stitch up. The verdict was a disgrace. The judge had ignored the evidence.
Can we all agree, in advance, to accept the umpire’s decision, this time around?
Like Besanko, Lee is the kind of judge you’d all want if you were falsely accused of a crime you didn’t commit.
And the kind you’d want if you were a genuine victim of a crime falsely denied by the perpetrator.
But Lee will need the wisdom of Solomon for this one.

The 58-year-old has been rightly lauded in recent days for his calming influence in a case that could easily have descended into acrimony, using a blend of intelligence, humanity and humour.
But his judgment is going to rub a lot of people up the wrong way. It’s possible Lee will find outright that Bruce Lehrmann raped Brittany Higgins on the balance of probabilities, or that he did not.
Both findings are fraught.
On the evidence produced in the case, both Lehrmann and Higgins have not been truthful at various points along the way.
Lehrmann’s multiple explanations for why he ended up at Parliament House that night with Higgins have stretched credulity. Higgins’ actions after the alleged assault – from the dubious photo of her bruised leg to her attempts to spin the story as a Liberal Party cover-up – have raised doubts about her story.
Lee was clearly unimpressed with the evidence of both as various points in their testimony.
That leaves it more likely that Ten’s journalism – and that of its once-star reporter Lisa Wilkinson – will come under scrutiny.

Ten did itself no favours by refusing to pay for Wilkinson to have her own lawyers in the case. Her cross claim against the network not only proved she desperately needed independent counsel, it allowed into evidence documents that showed Ten’s lawyers approved her Logies speech. Worse, Ten had initially used the veneer of legal privilege to prevent the public – and Lee himself – knowing the truth.
The Lehrmann-Higgins saga has seemed to carry a curse, even before salacious allegations in recent weeks by renegade Seven producer Taylor Auerbach blew up his own career and those of his two former friends and Spotlight colleagues, Steve Jackson and Mark Llewellyn.
The juggernaut has chewed up and spat out former defence minister Linda Reynolds, her then chief of staff Fiona Brown, former ACT prosecutor Shane Drumgold, board of inquiry chair Walter Sofronoff KC and a string of lesser known victims, among them the many police investigators who simply did their job and were vilified for it.
Will Lee become the next target when his judgment fails to satisfy the baying mob?
Tens of thousands will watch the verdict unfold on the Federal Court’s YouTube channel on Monday morning as Lee delivers his judgment.
For better or worse, it has fallen to one man to be the arbiter of truth and fairness in a drama that should have ended years ago. Let’s back him in on it. And move on.
