Good morning Cats. And from me, good afternoon.

The Beloved thinks his appearance is a little untidy in this hot as Hades temperature. He needs a little pampering.

Can any of guess where we are? Here’s a clue.

The ship “MINERVA ANTONIA” in the Mediterranean Sea with a number of cruise missiles.

How the hell do these creeps get to blockade Israel and fire on neutral vessels? Do they want to be turned to glass also? In a former universe the west would be onto them as fast as you could say “knife”.

Perhaps, because the west are so pathetically weak, calli.

The all powerful US, you will remember, got kicked out of Afghanistan by goat herders, using fertiliser bombs.
The Houti’s have modern missiles. Totally different kettle of fish.
That is why the USN moved its assets further offshore.

Biden had stated that the Houti’s will be “neutralised” and had a couple of weeks of intense strikes.

They must have been very successful strikes, right?

Just like our defence force, they are hopelessly outgunned by potential aggressors, but you can rest assured they are up to date with the diversity lectures and Pride awareness meetings.

Minerva -the name of a convict ship that dropped my lot in Hobart in July 1818.

According to Wiki, Minerva is the Roman goddess of wisdom, justice, law, victory and the sponsor of arts, trade and strategy.

She is also a goddess of warfare.

The pronoun lawyer sounds like a good fellow:

The blurb of Mr Ellison’s Wardell Chambers profile includes a series of jokes, including that he has “no interest in sailing, skiing, golf, cooking or learning a foreign language and does not own a winery”.

“He does not wish to achieve a work/life balance. Lindsay doesn’t smoke. Nor does he drink tea, coffee or alcohol. He eats too much chocolate. He knows nothing about cars or sport. He is one of the least interesting persons you might ever meet,” it reads.

“Lindsay has made over 600 donations to the Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service. He recommends you do the same. His philosophy is that if you draw blood, the least you can do is to give some back.”

A rooftop garden in Seville.  The heat of the day slowly dissipating, the brilliant blue sky of midday fading into milky softness as the sun finally meets the horizon’s waiting embrace.

And as the air begins to cool, they rise.  Groups of swallows, scribing arcs in the evening air, their soft voices calling for a response.  In this part of Spain these migratory birds are everywhere.  The heat keeps them hidden …only as the setting sun takes its daily journey do they appear.

War is hell (the NT News):

It’s been a tense few days in Pyongyang ever since North Korea’s much lauded new spy satellite, intended to keep an eye South Korea and the US, blew up shortly after launch on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, South Koreans – including defectors from the north – have been sending balloons carrying USB sticks loaded up with K-Pop, money, food, medicine and anti-North Korean leaflets across the border.

A bit of Gangnam Style should entice a few more over the border, surely.

In retaliation, North Korea sent some balloons of its own on Wednesday carrying vast amounts of foul-smelling faeces.

Several degrees of separation to the west of calli, the Sicilian Prince and my good self have wound up our wonderful ten days with family on the outskirts of Milan.

Our apartment was in the Commune of Magenta and the entire place was gearing up for a big reconstruction this weekend, of the famous Battle of Magenta that ended the Second War of Italian Independence on June 4th, 1859.

It resulted in a French-Sardinian victory under Napoleon III and Patrice de MacMahon (*que?) against the Austrians under Marshal Ferenc Gyulay and the Prince of Montenuovo.

We also spent an afternoon wandering Boffaloro sul Ticino where fighting actually began on the evening prior. Gelato and coffe were also involved, something denied to the unfortunate soldiers awaiting their fate. The French Sardians were at a numerical disadvantage and the losses on both sides were considerable. A local Municipio building still is decorated by the giant holes punched in it by cannonballs during the battle.

Paddy MacMahon ended up as Duke of Magenta and President of France eventually. An interesting result of Irish immigration to France. The Rue de Magenta in Paris also commemorates this victory.

As an artistic side note, a red-pink dye discovered three years previously, and known as triaminotriphenyl carbonium chloride was renamed Magenta in honour of the unexpected victory because of the blood soaked battlefield and the colour created by blood on the blue imperial jackets. I’ll never look at paint tubes of Magenta in quite the same way after that.

A bit disappointed to miss the raucous celebrations but we have somewhere else to be that involves another foray onto the Italian train system. More updates pending.

* highly amusing listening to the various attempts by the locals to pronounce such an overtly Non-Italian name. Some of the more talented manage to make it sound totally local, but it always manages to make me laugh.

‘Issue with racism’: ABC’s chief political correspondent doubles down on comments suggesting Australia is a racist country

The ABC’s chief political correspondent insists Australia has an “issue with racism” after it was revealed she had been “counselled” by the broadcaster’s news director over her comments at an event last weekend.

Laura Tingle made controversial comments at the Sydney Writers’ Festival when she was asked to comment on Opposition Leader Peter Dutton’s policy about migration and the economy, including housing.

“I did indeed make the observation on Sunday that we are a racist country, in the context of a discussion about the political prospects ahead,” she said in a lengthy statement on Wednesday.

“I wasn’t saying every Australian is a racist. But we clearly have an issue with racism.”

Darwin man jailed for inadvertently killing Wadeye brother

A Darwin man who, after a heavy session of drinking, kicked his brother in the back, inadvertently perforating the victim’s pancreas and kidney, has been sentenced for the tragic death.

Jingili man Peter Kinthari, who is in his early 40s, pleaded guilty in the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory to a charge of engaging in a violent act causing death.

The victim was his brother, who is referred to as TK for cultural reasons.

The offence occurred at Kinthari’s Jingili residence on August 3, 2022, with TK expiring the following day from catastrophic internal bleeding caused by a fractured rib perforating his right kidney and pancreas, Justice Judith Kelly told Kinthari’s sentencing hearing on May 20.

On the day in question, TK and his family had flown from Wadeye to visit Kinthari and his family, and the group began drinking heavily.

After 9pm, TK “got upset” at Kinthari, Justice Kelly told the court.

“Nobody seems to know why,” she said.

TK challenged a reluctant Kinthari to a fight, “hassling… [and] challenging him” until he agreed.

There was a melee on the street, which drew police attention, and TK and his partner left for several hours, returning at about 11pm, where a bumptious TK “demanded” another fight after a verbal disagreement.

TK lunged at Kinthari, flipping his brother onto his back, to which Kinthari responded by pushing TK over.

While TK was sitting on the ground, Kinthari “went up to TK from behind and kicked him hard in the right side of his body,” Justice Kelly said.

This kick “caused a displaced fracture of the right posterior twelfth rib,” which, unbeknown to all, had already set in motion the victim’s death.

Soon, TK felt a “sharp and severe stomach pain,” collapsing against the bathtub.

He was transported to Royal Darwin Hospital via an emergency ambulance, but while awaiting the trauma team, he went into cardiac arrest.

TK was declared deceased at 6.50am the following morning.

An autopsy subsequently determined about 1.7 litres of blood had bled into his body cavity.

Kinthari has been remanded in pre-sentence custody ever since, a period of about 22 months.

Justice Kelly said there were a number of mitigating factors, including that TK was the provocateur in both fights, Kinthari had suffered the “devastating” loss of his sole remaining brother, and that Kinthari did not mean to kill or cause serious harm to his brother.

Kinthari was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment but released immediately, with the remainder of his sentence suspended for an operational period of 18 months, conditional upon Kinthari being under the supervision of Community Corrections.

And of course, closer to home, in Melbourne back in November 2023, a fake crime was alleged by Nazi Muslims and their Nazi leftist comrades. These 2024 Nazis decided to imitate their 1933 Nazi ideological kin and allege a ‘Reichstag fire’ type incident. So, in November 2023 they alleged that Jewish arsonists set fire to a crappy Palestinian owned hamburger joint. And so what did the leftist and Muslim scum do? On the Sabbath, in the suburb of Caulfield where lots of Jews happen to live, whilst Vic police stood buy (as always), these 2023 Nazis unpeacefully assembled directly in front of a synagogue to harass, intimidate and threaten Jews!

It was later discovered that no Jew had been involved in the arson attack…of course. But who needs evidence and proof when you want to harass, intimidate and threaten Jews!

Tony Abbott addressed the Danube Institute in Budapest this week, claiming the West is wimping out in a “civilisational moment”. As China, Russia and Tehran pose “unprecendented challenges” to our way of life, we wallow in “moral confusion.”

Everything he says is true (more or less).

But this is the leader who wimped out on repealing 18C.

If we don’t play our part with courage when called upon, what right do we have to lecture others on their failures?

How are China, Russia and Tehran posing “unprecedented challenges?”

As far as Australia goes, the UniParty in Canberra have, for at least 40 years, had a far more significant and detrimental effect on Australia’s way of life, than those three.
For the “West” in general, Europe in particular, the US, with its illogical and irrational dictates and aggression, has led them by the nose, to impose sanctions, which have destroyed the European economies.

If anyone can explain to me, why every EU nation, (except Hungary and Slovakia), has “willingly” destroyed their economies and emptied their arsenals, for the most corrupt nation in Europe, that is not a member of the EU, or NATO, I would be most grateful.
Those three entities, had nothing to do with that.

Then there is the destruction of the Nordstream pipeline, ……….

“Oh, I didn’t mean we’re all racist, just some of you.”

Specifically, Peter Dutton and the 60% of us who voted Nyet in the referendum last October.
Of course, what Bingle is pissed off about is the inexplicable backlash against Giles allowing child rapists and granny bashers imported from various shit-holes to stay here.
What has really got Bingle wrapped around the axle isn’t the reaction of Joe Public. It is the fact that this brave new “F-ck You!” to middle Australia has now been abandoned by Elbow and now Giles. I hear overnight that Giles has thrown the AAT under the bus, saying they had “misinterpreted” his directive and we can expect “tough new measures”.
More generally, in Bingle World, anyone who questions the quantum of immigration on economic grounds, without saying a word about where migrants come from is obviously racist.

A follow up on a very obvious attempt to stir up antisemitism particularly in Melbourne.

Lots of people were attacking Peter Horwitz for pointing out the obvious, that it was obviously fake.

“Her fake hate crime post received 10 million views and 200,000 likes before she locked her account. She invented a hate crime to demonise Jews. Should she be charged with a hate crime herself? @AusFedPolice”

Obviously there is a universal shortage of hate crimes against muslims that the only thing they can do is to produce them themselves.

“Last week, in an article in The Australian, I joined many from around the world denouncing the moral equivalence from the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) between Israel as a democratic country with an elected Prime Minister, a professional and disciplined military and a powerful and independent judiciary, on the one hand, and Hamas as a terrorist organisation with no internal judicial checks on its military conduct whatsoever, on the other.

Perhaps stung by the chorus of criticisms, Karim Khan, the prosecutor, has now dug the hole he is in even deeper in an interview with The Times. A British citizen of Pakistani ancestry, he recalled the many attacks on prominent British leaders by the Irish Republican Army and commented that the UK did not bomb Belfast to get the IRA on the justification that ‘there undoubtedly may be some IRA members and Republican sympathisers’ in Belfast. Khan is now guilty of serial false equivalencies.

Where to even begin when a man in such a critically important office for international criminal justice betrays such jaw-dropping ignorance and lack of understanding?

First off, Belfast is part of the UK and people of Northern Ireland are British citizens. Gaza is not part of Israel and Palestinians living there are not Israeli citizens. The government and defence force of Israel, unlike Hamas, believe it their solemn duty to serve, defend and protect Israelis, not bomb them.

During the time of the Troubles, the IRA were not the ruling party of Northern Ireland.

The IRA was not committed by its charter to the complete destruction of the UK and the liberation of the entire country, from the English Channel to the North Sea and the Irish Sea. Senior IRA spokesmen did not call repeatedly for the death and ethnic cleansing of all Englishmen, with excitable mobs of expatriate Irish chanting ‘Gas the Poms!’ and ‘Where are the Poms?’ in the West’s major cities.

Perhaps I missed the news item when the IRA crossed the narrow sea to attack a major cultural festival where the English youth had gathered to celebrate life with dancing, singing and general good cheer and bonhomie, killing 8,000 (scaled from the October 7 attacks to reflect the much bigger UK population), abducting another 1,700, including children, babies and elderly, and sadistically raping and torturing at will.

The IRA did not regularly launch rocket attacks from the cover of Belfast hospitals across the Irish Sea on civilians, installations and infrastructure in Britain. Nor do I recall news of the IRA building hundreds of miles of underground tunnels in which to hide their fighters and arms either.

If this is the level of Khan’s intellectual and logical reasoning capacity, the ICC will be living in interesting times for the next few years. He should be embarrassed by the political theatre he has staged.”

The surprising thing is that Karim Khan is Ahmadiyya, even married the daughter of their ‘Caliph’. And they are seen as heretics, who the orthodox want to wipe out – technically Pakistani but not wanted there. You’d think he’d have a more nuanced view. BTW, it says his mother was ‘born in the UK’ perhaps suggesting she is/was English, like Varadkar whose mother was Irish, also a nurse.

South Africa votes with ANC rule in balance

South Africans queued late into the night to vote Wednesday, forcing polling stations to remain open beyond closing time in a landmark general election, with the ruling ANC fighting to protect its three-decade-long grip on power.
More than 27 million voters were registered for the most uncertain poll since the African National Congress led the nation out of apartheid.
Most polls started to close at 9pm (8am AEST) but thousands were still waiting in line after nightfall in some big-city voting stations, with electoral officials vowing everyone would get their chance.
With opposition challenges from both the left and right, unemployment and crime at near-record levels and a new generation growing up with no memory of the struggle against white-minority rule, the ruling party may lose its absolute majority and be forced to share power.
The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) said it projected turnout to go “well beyond” the 66 per cent recorded in the last election in 2019.
“We are experiencing a late surge and are processing a large number of voters,” the IEC’s head Sy Mamabolo told a press conference less than an hour before polls were due to close.

Rome didn’t fall in a day.

For many living in the countryside life barely changed even as political tremors shook the city, culminating in the abdication of the last emperor of the West in AD476 (the eastern empire continuing for another millennium and even retaking parts of the western empire).

That being said, they didn’t have electronic communications or electricity grids.

Jupiter Macron appeared in Berlin with Scholz yesterday and yet again stated that “Ukraine” could fire French weapons, into Russian territory, as it saw fit.
Also, over the last week, several statements have been made, by Ministers from the Baltic states, (total population of all three is 6 million), stating that they will supply troops to Ukraine.

Why these morons are trying to invoke a response from Russia, given their position of ultimate weakness, is beyond me.
They clearly don’t give a f*ck about their populations, just like the brain dead weasels, we have the misfortune to call our “representatives” in Canberra.

Why I mention this, is because of comments made by President Putin yesterday.
First, he stated that Russia knows Ukraine does not have the weapons or capability to conduct the surveillance required, nor the technical skills, to launch these attacks. In other words, western operatives will provide these skills.
The West will attack Russia. Does that seem like a good idea to you?

Secondly and most chillingly, he said:
“These countries are small in size and have dense populations. They should remember that.”

Russia called in the British and French Foreign Ministers three weeks ago and “read them their horoscopes” after some intemperate remarks.

The EU leaders seem hell bent on drawing a blinding flash over their capitals. If I were them, I would heed the warnings.
No one, especially Russia, has infinite patience.

For the past few years, the SunCable ‘Let’s power Singapore from solar in Darwin’ has thrashed around. The spruikers, carpetbaggers and subsidy farmers have tumbled out increasingly huge and confusing GW’s and GWh’s of solar supply and storage – with commensurate billions of Excel dollars capex and unknown opex.

In 2022/23, Singapore made clear that there was no government financial support and it wasn’t that keen on committing to an energy strategy delivering hopelessly expensive power at the end of 5,000km of cable exposed to the risk of seismic events, anchors, and sabotage. Particularly with alternatives like an Indonesian solar project on Riau, a mere 400km away.

After that, Twiggy Forest pulled the pin and Mike Cannon Brookes took over as ringmaster in late 2023, introducing Quinbrook as a financial partner.

Long story short, SunCable has now been reimagined as DarwinLink:

DarwinLink is the Australian onshore component of AAPowerLink and includes the development of the world’s biggest integrated renewable energy zone on Powell Creek in the Barkly region of the Northern Territory, along with 800km of overhead HVDC transmission to the Darwin region. The project plans to deliver up to 4GW of 24/7 renewable electricity to the Middle Arm Sustainable Development Precinct, to underpin a new wave of green industrial development.

Which obviously harmonises nicely with the Albanese choir:

DarwinLink is expected to generate ~$8billion worth of investment and ~1750 direct jobs in Australia during the construction phase. Once complete, the project has an operating life of 70 years; which is where the project can really deliver intergenerational benefits to the Barkly region and the Northern Territory. The operations phase anticipated 350 permanent jobs, and a range of contract and business enterprise opportunities for the region.

With metrics like this, a cynic might expect a flood of taxpayer lazy millions to flow towards the Barkly region.

I have mentioned the Furiosa box office already a couple times, but here’s another story on it with a wider look at the malaise Hollywood has gotten into.

Furiosa Box Office Flop Signals The Death Of Feminist “Boss Babe” Films (30 May)

Someone turned the propaganda dial up to eleven. Since then media companies have been on a relentless campaign of DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion). Their goal? To saturate every corner of pop culture with feminism, critical race theory and LGBT indoctrination to the point that it’s impossible to walk into a movie theater or turn on the TV without being psychologically molested (a problem Hollywood is famous for).

The agenda went even further that that, though. The industry not only set out to make every single project woke, they also tried to go back in time and retroactively erase characters they don’t like anymore – Specifically, straight white male heroes.

That’s a perfect lead into this story today:

Captain America 4 test screenings ‘so poor Marvel ordered months of reshoots’ (29 May)

That’s never a good sign. An even worse sign is Captain America has suddenly turned into a black guy. Dunno how that happens, maybe it’s like Dr Who metamorphosing into a gay African (which led to the worst Who TV ratings ever).

But one thing seems likely: audiences are going to smell the stench of woke from a mile off. I don’t like the movie’s chance of making a profit even if it does make it to release.

There’s nothing wrong with having black heroes (eg. Hancock) or strong ladies (eg. Lara Croft: Tomb Raider). Both movies did well, and are fun, but neither were at all woke.

Who built the modern world? For all its flaws, it was built by white men.

Everyone knows that the fantasy race and gender swapping parts, are just that, fantasy and there is just no way anyone wants to see this warped view of the world. Oh granted a few do, but look at the numbers, they just support what I have noticed.

Open letter by Gaza academics and university administrators to the world

We have come together as Palestinian academics and staff of Gaza universities to affirm our existence, the existence of our colleagues and our students, and the insistence on our future, in the face of all current attempts to erase us.

The Israeli occupation forces have demolished our buildings but our universities live on. We reaffirm our collective determination to remain on our land and to resume teaching, study, and research in Gaza, at our own Palestinian universities, at the earliest opportunity.

We call upon our friends and colleagues around the world to resist the ongoing campaign of scholasticide in occupied Palestine, to work alongside us in rebuilding our demolished universities, and to refuse all plans seeking to bypass, erase, or weaken the integrity of our academic institutions.

Lest anyone think university protests and open and tacit academic and administrative support go unnoticed and unappreciated in the Tunnels of Gaza.

In other news: For me the 2 best de niro movies were Godfather 11 and Midnight Run with Casino a maybe. I won’t be rewatching them. De niro is certifiable. But the amazing thing is he is a typical Trump hater. These people are deranged but more importantly they hate their fellow Americans and they hate America.

Obama did this.

Rome didn’t fall in a day.

For many living in the countryside life barely changed even as political tremors shook the city, culminating in the abdication of the last emperor of the West in AD476 (the eastern empire continuing for another millennium and even retaking parts of the western empire).
?
That being said, they didn’t have electronic communications or electricity grids.

We won’t have soon either.

Queensland on alert after eight cases of ‘monkeypox’

Contact tracing is being undertaken in Queensland after eight cases of Mpox were recorded in the month of May.

The eight cases in Queensland are all linked, with authorities now contact tracing to locate potentially more people with the disease.

To preempt unkind comments, I might point out that not the whole of Queensland is on alert.

At the same time, we must address the widespread availability of violent pornography which scientific studies prove is directly linked to violence against women.
It is shocking that the Commonwealth government’s Australian Classification Board has legally approved all of the following to be given to children:

Hmmm, what is “trouble at mill” in Chinese?

Xi Jinping Concedes China’s Job Market Is in ‘Chaos,’ Demands Underlings Fix the Economy (29 May)

Chinese Communist dictator Xi Jinping admitted at a Politburo session on Monday that China’s job market is in “chaos.”

He ordered his underlings to create “full, high-quality employment” by developing “new sources of job growth,” although he offered few hints on how they might go about their monumental task.

Xi’s remarks after a Politburo “study session” in Beijing were unusually candid about the turbulent state of the Chinese economy. …

The dictator sounded a bit less optimistic on Monday, when his address to the Politburo came after a dour lecture on the job market by Mo Rong, director of a government think tank called the Chinese Academy of Labor and Social Security.

“We must develop new business entities and new business models vigorously, actively cultivating new professions and developing new sources of job growth,” Xi declared.

“The course of high-quality development should be a process that spawns more, better jobs, and that development should better drive employment,” he said. “We must effectively deal with employment discrimination, defaults of wages and social security contribution, illegal lay-offs and other chaos.”

Xi said the public should be taught to hold “correct views of employment,” by which he seemingly meant that Chinese businessmen should focus more on creating jobs than pursuing profit.

Um, doesn’t work top down sonny boy, you have to do the Deng thing by getting out of the way and not forcing Chinese businessmen to “focus more on creating jobs than pursuing profit”. That always fails.

All the problems they have could be resolved nearly overnight by deregulating the employment conditions and allowing the market to work.
This is the one thing the Communists cannot do – and thank God for that. Imagine the growth of a free enterprise China.

It does affirm one’s faith in humanity when woke crap is rejected by the punters. Disney’s woes is reassuring. But the woke bastards who run entertainment are not going to go without a fight. No thanks, because we were all told similar with the bikie laws for instance, that were just brought in restrict various activities and allow law enforcement people certain extra abilities to restruict bikie criminal behaviour.

Then, during the covid lockdowns we discovered that the police can demand you open your phone so they can check locations, and privacy settings as well as anything else they feel like doing on your phone, including conficating it .. all legally under the .. bikie laws that extend to the entire community, not just that one small group.

So no, no more restricting anything. Some of those things might not be great, but that’s human nature to see what’s around us.

This sounds familiar…

Farmers are being booted off their land in a drive for more solar power, former union chief warns (29 May)

The former head of Britain’s farming union yesterday spoke out against large-scale solar farms, declaring ‘there’s a huge amount not to like’.

But Minette Batters warned they will continue to be built while her members faced uncertainty about the future of dairy and arable farming – and while wealthy investors are free to buy up large chunks of the countryside.

Ms Batters, the ex-president of the National Farmers’ Union, also highlighted ‘horrific examples’ where tenant farmers are being booted off land for huge solar schemes so the landowner can make more money.

Those dastardly kulaks, how dare they stand in the way of Great Stalin’s holy wind turbines and solar farms. The nerve!

Scholasticide I love this new word…

What the prog-left has been doing to higher education for nigh on 50 years.

Interesting article on such things:

Historians Need Not Apply | Power Line (28 May)

Well-educated but barely employable: that description, which once would have seemed paradoxical, describes an increasing number of Americans. One of them is David Walsh, who has a PhD in history but apparently can’t get a tenure-track job.

But the phenomenon at work here–a huge cadre of well-educated people who think they are entitled to make good money, be treated with deference, and play a significant role in public life, but who in fact are not very employable and whose expectations are doomed to be frustrated–explains a lot about the demented quality of our current culture.

There’s a lot between those two paras that is worth reading. The theory of “elite overproduction” turning into a threat to society is particularly interesting.

As I’ve said before, IMHO Hollywood is now just a vast money-laundering operation for the cartels and anyone else with criminal cash.

In the 1980s, when the cocaine cartels had so much cash they were digging big holes in the ground and burying it, Hollywood and LA generally was awash with coke. It went all the way from extras to studio bosses and financiers.

It’s not much of a stretch to imagine that these conspicuous consumers knew people who knew people who knew people. Why would they resist millions of dollars in cash at much less than 100% value? With the maze of production companies and their subcontractors involved, losing the cash would not be difficult. Everyone likes cash.

Besides, Hollywood accounting has always paralleled its product in being largely fictional. The next step was easy.

Pandering to fashionable causes is the perfect cover for an essentially criminal enterprise.

Last night Chris Kenny made a comment that I think went even beyond his Voice silliness.
He said he was “disgusted” that Trump hadn’t accepted the outcome of the 2020 election.
Plenty of people have described the various ways that the 2020 election was warped.
I haven’t heard him say he’s “disgusted” at the way the US justice system is being weaponised right now, in a manner worthy of soviet Russia or any number of banana republics.
In fact, the entire daytime Sky crew won’t say anything negative about either the 2020 election or the weaponisation of the justice system. I don’t hear them saying anything about who funds all those lefty DAs, or about the number of left leaning judges appointed by Obama and now Biden. This is why crime is so high in so many places.
I don’t hear them looking askance at the new roles for the FBI and CIA, or the number of lefty appointments to senior military positions – with resultant imposition of force weakening DEI etc.
US manufacturing has been hollowed out and sent to China. The Strategic Oil Reserve has been halved, now down to the lowest level since the early 1980s. Shipbuilding can’t keep up a healthy replacement program for surface ship or submarines.
It’s said there is “a lot of ruin in a nation”. The sands in that hourglass have been running down for decades, and the end, when it comes, could be a lot faster than our slobby media realise.
From tonight I’ll be bringing forward last night’s Sharri to replace CK at 5pm.

At the start of the year, Chris Kenny took over Sharri Markson’s 5pm hour (I suspect at Markson’s request) without any of the newsbreaking originality, which is still her trademark at Sky News.

Kenny sees his role as simply adding his opinion to the daily news broken by other journalists. As far as I know, Kenny hasn’t broken a single story in the past year, whereas Markson on average is breaking at least one big one a week.

Chris Kenny is a lazy sod and his weekday hour is forgettable filler.

I suspect his lack of performance is being reflected in his ratings and he’ll be the first to go in the next network program review (probably in favour of giving Rita Panahi a proper daily time instead of her current 11pm slot).

Of course not. But Arabs lie constantly – and they lie like children.

“Why is Achmed crying, Mohammed?”

“A bad man stole his chocolate.”

“How did that happen, Mohammed? How did he get into the house past me?”

“He came in through the window, Mama.”

Mohammed looks at the floor, desperately seeking a way out of his chocolate free dilemma.

“A Jew must have let him in.”

“A Jew? In this house?” Mother looks shocked.

“Yes Mama.” He looks up earnestly at his mother. “You know how sly the Jews can be.”

And mama knows exactly what happened – Mohammed stole his little brothers chocolate. But mum walks away laughing to herself and Mohammed grows up thinking she believed him and everybody is stupid except for him. After all, who got the chocolate and missed out on the clip around the ears?

I was amazed at some of the absolute bullshit they would tell each other and it would be – sorta – accepted.

Speculation that the Democrats would dump Joe Biden from their 2024 ticket has been rife for a long time. For quite a while, I thought it was almost inevitable. Rasmussen finds that currently, most Democrats wouldn’t mind seeing Joe go:

In February, 48% of Democratic voters said they would approve of their party finding another candidate to replace Biden, but that number has now risen to 54%, including 25% of Democrats who would Strongly Approve of replacing Biden before the election.

No way – Doctor Jill has her dirty little fingers on Joes’ Shit File on the Democrat and Republican filth.

I keep seeing people on newspaper sites commenting upon the “boss lady” aspect of Furiosa. It is quite obvious that many have not actually seen the film or even realise it is a prequel to Fury. It is about the early years of the Charleze Theron character. In fact at the end of the movie they show parts from Fury.
Not familiar with the actress who plays Furiosa and pretty neutral on Hemsworth as the bad guy. For me it was the action and stunts. I preferred the actress who played the sharp shooting mother who is an Aussie model.
You don’t really see the small female lead fighting big guys in hand to hand. A lot of her kills are via sniper shooting and during vehicle chases where her light weight in moving around is an advantage. One major plot line omission is showing how she became so good at shooting. They could have easily done that in a montage of shots showing the fuel truck driver training her.
The fact is it is an Aussie directed movie with most actors being Australian and filmed in Australia.
Support the Australian film industry is what I say.

He (Chris Kenny) said he was “disgusted” that Trump hadn’t accepted the outcome of the 2020 election.

Kenny is a bit like Bill Maher, who has band aids of progressive talking points covering the nicks and scratches of past failed predictions and who gets very irritable and squirms desperately if anyone tries to strip the band aid off. It is not even the injury any more – it is the band aid that describes his behaviour.

Maher will still blithely mention as something universally accepted that Trump is a criminal and madman bent on the destruction of America – even though Maher echoes Trump on probably every issue: illegal immigration, government created inflation, corruption at elite levels, etc.

Trump has maintained that the 2020 election was fiddled – not without some merit. There were plenty of anomalies and irregularities, the few of which that have been exposed to investigation have been validated. But how has Trump ‘refused to accept’ the election differently than The Hilderbeest? Has he refused to deal with the current administration as a current administration? Has he urged people not to accept the government’s authority? Encouraged the military to disregard orders? Exhorted other nations to treat Biden’s fustercluck as other than the American government? Hillary, on the other hand, from 2016 to 2020 called Trump an ‘illegitimate’ present – like he was not the proper President. Trump has always spoken of Biden as President.

Trump has accepted the outcome of the election, but not the methods. He accepts that various concerted dishonest acts shifted the needle, but the needle (however dishonesty) pointed to Biden. He should not have been appointed but appointed he was.

I get that the Democrats need to make Trump’s complaints look like weapons grade petulance in order to delegitimise the underlying (cogent) issues, but for Kenny it is just a matter of child who is scared of having a band aid pulled off.

I am trying to imagine life without Sky Australia? I can’t. Look, there are things that annoy me about the outlet however I’ll take Sky and its various warts and imperfections any day over the far-left dross served up by their ABC, and the gunk served up at Nine, Ten and Seven. Okay, Sky News Oz isn’t perfect, nothing is, but imagine having to rely on the ABC for news? No thank you. Imagine being forced to watch those two hideous fright bats on the ABC’s 7.30 report. Quite frankly, I don’t know who is worse, Mrs Jones or Mrs Nosferatu?

Josh Frydenberg’s special on Tuesday night on the rampant Jew hatred that has exploded in this country was outstanding. News Corporation (the parent of Sky Oz) is the only media outlet reporting on and opining on the spiralling Jew hatred…it also treats Israel fairly. Sky is also critiques the renewable madness, advocates nuclear and gives platforms to those who advocate for nuclear.

Also, I know for a fact that the Murdoch family, since October 7 2023, have donated nearly two million dollars to fighting Jew hatred. Kol hakavod to them.

Whilst the UK now has GBNews, thanks to Ofcom and a looming Starmer government, it’ll probably be shut down, or just go online (like Talk TV). We should be grateful for what we have, okay it isn’t perfect, but I’ll take what I can get.

I apologise if I have posted this before – but I think this podcast published in Australian Spectator a week ago is perhaps the most important interview I have heard in some time. It is an interview with the amazing Victor Hanson Davis. He analyses the moral breakdown of the West. He is, of course, a classical scholar & he is fixated with the parallels between the collapse of the Greek and Roman civilisations (particularly the latter) with what is happening in the West.

He begins by comparing the ancient concern with the effects of economic proposerity (in Rome- “luxus”) on the fabric of society. He talks about familiar themes of declining fertility, obsession with exotic food, clothing…promiscuity, transsexualism and many other familiar themes.

He also personalises his observations. His family, he says, has lived in a rural setting in California for over 150 years. In recent times he says his orchard and paddocks are invaded by people from urban areas leaving trash. He says he is now hearing gunshots at night – & they are not local shooters. He is fearful that the US is going back to the 1850s with divisions between “red” & “blue” states.

Interestingly, he has visited most western countries and sees signs of similar developments. He especially noted the difference between the capital cities in Australia and regional areas. Something, we, of course, note ourselves.

Finally, he muses that when a society unleashed free market capitalism and you discard the self criticism of the Judaeo-Christian ethic, you release a society which implodes.

Interesting.

Brian Ward Perkins in his short and extremely well-written book ‘The Fall of Rome and the End of Civilisation’ circa 2009, makes a strong case that the economic collapse was quite calamatous in its outcomes right across the Empire of the West where he sees no ‘Late Antiquity’ that may be partially found still in the East.. He presents his own and others research material on the collapse of monetary trade, cessation of industrial production of standardised goods, reduced size of livestock and grain stock, plus an almost total decline in literacy and quality of housing to prove his thesis.

One can imagine similar ructions today if international and local social order diminishes, or dies entirely – the latter is unthinkable, btw, entailing widespread famine and chaos..

It’s actually the best option for the Dems IMO. A conviction won’t survive appeal, but it will totally shock/piss off the voters.

A Sunshine Coast aspiring businessman who “flung” a woman around by the hair has found solace in religion to help himself, a court has heard.

Cain Michael Lightbody, 21, appeared in Maroochydore District Court on May 27 and pleaded guilty to one count of assault occasioning bodily harm.

Trump has a 1/3 chance (my opinion included):

Option 1: Not guilty (extremely unlikely)
Option 2: Guilty (moderately likely)
Option 3: Hung (likely to moderately likely).

I know the NY borough is 90% Hiden but he only needs one “hold out” (a secret Trump supporter or a person with an actual conscience) to get option 3 as the “best” possible outcome

And of this “best” outcomes:

For Option 1, he wins but the Big Guy and team meeja will come after him still.
For Option 2, he loses, possibly gaol.
For Option 3, he loses, retrial.

So, the odds are f*cked whichever way you dice it.

Apparently merchan is an associate judge who is not even on the 24 judge selection panel who are randomly selected for particular cases but who has presided over ALL 3 Trump NY cases. All 3 and he is not even on the panel. How fuked is that. As well the bastard in his directions listed the 3 crimes alleged against Trump, none of which were mentioned during the trial, all of which are irrelevant and then said as long as 4 jurors can agree on any one of them a guilty verdict will prevail.

The US is fuked, even if Trump gets off. That its judicial system has degenerated to this is fatal.

A person has been killed after being sucked into the running jet engine of a KLM passenger plane engine at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.

The death happened as the KL1341 flight was getting ready to fly to Billund, Denmark, the BBC reports.

Investigators from the Dutch military police said it was too early to say whether it was an “incident”, or a form of suicide.

Dutch media outlets have suggested the victim could be an airplane employee involved in pushing back an airplane before it took off, but this has not been confirmed.

Expect this scenario in a movie script soon. Bad guys have gone through chopper blades in Indiana Jones and The Last Boy Scout, so this is a natural progression.

Even with all this happening to Trump 80% of black Americans will still support the demented pervert; and a majority of young white women.

Vicki we’ve had our coast place for 10 years. Nowra has come on in such a short space in time. The amount of building is unbelievable and working folk so much nicer than Canbra. The supply side of the building industry has many outlets. Genuinely helpful and don’t charge like a wounded bull. They are grateful for the business. The number of Sydney people coming down to live is amazing. I think covid was enough for most, being stuck in apartments. Still a lot of ferals but it was the bogan capital of NSW for a long time. If my grandchildren weren’t in Canbra I’d live down the coast.

Totally agree GR! Years ago we had an oceanfront house at Manyana. Stunning location looking south down the coast. Had wonderful years there when the grandchildren were small. Can’t believe we made them climb Pigeonhouse Mountain when they were 5 & 8!! Loved it. Called the house “Aman-yana” as a spinoff of the Aman group!

Caused quite a rift in the family when we sold it after some 18 years to buy the farm. But it was my turn to return to my childhood in the country. Daughter is still grouchy, but the grandchildren bring all their friends & current amours.

I hear Scummo has sold 218 copies of his memoirs. Just 1 was hard copy. Hope he hasn’t spent the advance.

So you have two choices. You have my husband, Joe, who you all know who has integrity, he’s strong, he’s steady, he’s a leader, he’s smart, he’s energetic or you have chaos.

The perfect couple – they’re both demented

And she would know this how exactly?

By studiously avoiding viewing the videos that Hamas shot of itself in the act?

Payman quits two parliamentary committees
Staff writers
Controversial Labor senator Fatima Payman has quit two parliamentary committees, the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade, and the Senate Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Legislation Committee.
The resignation’s come following Ms Payman accusing the Israeli government of genocide in recent weeks and signing off an interview with reporters by using the now banned saying “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”.
A spokesperson from the government released a short statement on Thursday evening announcing Ms Payman’s resignation.
“Senator Payman has resigned from the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade and the Senate Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Legislation Committee,” it said.
“The government’s policy is clear, we support a two-state solution.”

Who thought it was a good idea to have an anti-Western muslim activist making decisions on Australian foreign policy?

It wasn’t an accident, As in all Labor government appointments this century, radicals have been appointed to wreck relationships with our strategic allies.

The Palestinians have rejected five attempts at a “Two State” solution since the late 1930’s, while continuing to demand the total annihilation of the State of Israel. What makes the Albanese flying circus think they are interested in any such solution today?

Hamas mass rape a ‘hoax’ and ‘fake news’, says University of Sydney professor Sujatha Fernandes

From her bio:

“Sujatha Fernandes is an Indian-American-Australian writer [and] Professor of Sociology at the University of Sydney, and an Adjunct Professor of Sociology at the City University of New York. Her work explores social and labor movements, participatory media and art, global Black cultures, migrant workers, and climate storytelling.”

Some might aver that…Well, she would say that, wouldn’t she?

To claim something like this – in defiance (or deliberate ignorance) of all the evidence – including the evidence of the go pros of Hamas operatives – indicates mental deficiency and/or considerable moral deficit.
