Mr Albanese also stated that Senator Payman was only elected in 2022 because she had been preselected as a Labor candidate.

Albanese has nothing more than air in his head. His stupid statements somehow suggest that some entity other than the ALP pre-selected the Afghani traitor… reap what you sow morons. That goes for every political party. Elect terrorists expect terrorist actions. The UK will set a very high bar on stupidity along those lines that will be hard to beat in this election.

Grow the state Blob at the expense of democracy & individual rights.

While giving people just enough economic growth & reduced immigration (legal and illegal) to be able to say he kept his core promises.

Incidentally, Starmer’s vote in his own seat has halved since the 2019 election.

Disappointing for Nigel and therefore for any Briton with a brain.

From the Oz.

Results in all but a handful of the 650 House of Commons seats, for which voting is first past the post, have been declared.

Of 643 seats declared, Labour has 410, a gain of 213, the Conservatives 119, down 249, the Liberal Democrats 71, up 63, the Scottish Nationalist Party 9, down 37, Reform UK four (none previously), Green four, up three, and others 26, up three. A majority is 326 seats.

California has become a test case of the suicide of the West. Never before has such a state, so rich in natural resources and endowed with such a bountiful human inheritance, self-destructed so rapidly.

How and why did California so utterly consume its unmatched natural and ancestral inheritance and end up as a warning to Western civilization of what might be in store for anyone who followed its nihilism?

Proportionally, the biggest winners are the LibDems, the biggest losers the SNP.

Other than that, the result is pretty much what the voting intention polls and seat by seat constituency models pointed towards. Reform split the conservative vote, which handed a supermajority to Labour.

Just another day in WA.

Anne Jones, the 62-year-old foster mother of the Aboriginal woman shot dead by a police officer in Geraldton has been shoved to the ground — apparently by a police officer — while visiting the port town for her daughter’s inquest.

Police were called to an incident where people were reported fighting with poles. Mrs Jones’ grandson, 18, was arrested, and in the course of being put in the divvy van Mrs Jones intervened:

Ms Jones can be heard to tell her grandson repeatedly to go with police.

An officer says to Ms Jones: “You can film all you like but stay back”

Ms Jones then calls out to her grandson: “Quaylon just ge the f*ck in there

Quaylon get the f..k in there Quaylon

Get the fuck in there Quaylon

Bump! Police officer on desk duties and commish “very concerned.”

From TownHall Magazine:
Notice Anything Different Regarding Trump Over the Past Couple of Days?

He’s allowing the bonfire to consume the Democratic Party. There’s little else the former president can do to increase the damage that’s already done to the Left. Trump allowed Biden to speak, which was the right strategic move. It accentuated Biden’s lingering issues concerning age and competency, which has led us to this behind-the-scenes campaign to purge the president.

President Trump looks tired in that photo, but then he’s allowed to be. I can’t imagine any other politician – even if they were 30 years younger – dealing with the shit that gone his way over the last 12 years.
He’s followed Napoleons dictum, “Never interrupt your enemy when he’s making a mistake.” Damn good advice.

Sinn Fein headed for Northern Ireland seats leadStaff writers
Sinn Fein has become the most numerous party from Northern Ireland in House of Commons seats for the first time, although its members do not take up their seats.

The nationalist party was on course to win seven seats, compared with the Democratic Unionist Party’s five MPs, giving them a hat-trick of landmark wins after their Stormont triumph in 2022 and last year’s local election, the London Telegraph reported.

Sinn Fein was certain to point to its third electoral victory in two years to press its case for a referendum on Irish reunification by 2030, although their politicians never take up their London seats, it said. Sinn Fein members do not sit in the Westminister parliament because they do not recognise British sovereignty over Northern Ireland.

As the DUP lost three seats, Michelle O’Neill of Sinn Fein, the First Minister of Northern Ireland, said: “It’s time for a change, it’s time for us to take control of our own fortunes here.

Proportional representation is perhaps the worst system of all

I think the way to fix that is to have the negotiations before the seats are allocated.

Each party will have a vote in meetings for each seat to determine the representative for that seat that is in proportion to the votes that party received in that seat.

Negotiations beforehand will allocate who gets what seat, and possibly also cover what policies the agreeing parties should pursue.

A minor party could not, in these circumstances, simply choose to obstinately block, because then they just end up with zero seats. The deal gets you seats, but then the deal is done.

There’s no perfect electoral system. Every system has flaws, be it the US system, preferential, proportional and first past the post.

I note how earlier our very own Nazi excitedly proclaimed that Margaret Thatcher’s old constituency had gone to Labour. Well, the Nazi’s statement was quickly rebutted because Thatcher’s seat no longer exists and hasn’t existed for almost thirty years, but certain parts of it do now form the constituency of Finchley and Golders Green. Today Finchley and Golders Green fell to Labour, although I suspect it will be a one term win. It remains a heavily Jewish district. I can’t believe London Jews succumbed to voting for Labour (remember, Sturmer was always a key ally of Corbyn). However, until today Finchley and Golders Green had been held by the Conservative MP, Mike Freer, a longstanding and well respected member. Freer is not Jewish, he’s gay and he was very popular with his electorate, an electorate that includes many Orthodox Jews. So, you might be wondering why Freer resigned, being so young, he had a bright future and without a doubt he would have won today. Well you see, since October 7 Freer had been subjected to many threats, including stalking and death threats, from leftist and Muslim Nazi scum, his crime being he represented a heavily Jewish electorate and he was a vocal supporter of Israel and the Jewish people. Also, and many might not know this, Freer was stalked by the same Muslim Nazi, a vicious creep by the name of Ali Harbi Ali who, unsuccessful in killing Freer, found greener pastures at the political office of the sainted Sir David Ames, who he proceeded to stab to death. You see, Ames was also a vocal supporter of Israel and Jews.

So Mike Freer decided he’d had enough. I don’t blame him.

Oh, but of course, our resident Nazi no doubt thinks Ali Harbi Ali was just a misguided young man, like the scum who scaled parliament house yesterday. Jew haters always like other Jew haters.

Mixed-member proportional representation seems to work well in New Zealand. No need for grimy back-room deals as to who represents each seat.

Labour might take MMPR as a policy to the next election to get minor parties on side. Worked for NZ Labour in the 1980s.

What convictions? It’s all polls and focus groups. Their nuclear push was a disaster because instead of doing their homework and putting forward a comprehensive policy they opted for a press release because the polls showed support. They’ve contradicted their economic stance by threatening to break up the big two grocery chains when repeated analyses have revealed a low profit margin and no justification for an anti-trust style intervention. They’ve promised to cut immigration but again without any detail or even demonstrating an awareness of what which immigrants should not be allowed.

For what it’s worth, Robert Verkaik’s book “The Traitor Of Arnhem” has been delivered. I’ve read the first section, which rehashes the old claim that a Dutch traitor, one Christian Lindemans, nicknamed “King Kong”, on account of his large and powerful physique, betrayed the plans for the landings at Arnhem to the Germans.

This was a claim first made, in books written just after the war, but has been comprehensively refuted since – the best refutation is a book “The Battle of Arnhem – the Betrayal Myth Refuted” by Cornelius Bauer. Basically Lindemans did warn the Germans that an airborne operation in Holland was possible, but the Germans could read a map as well as anyone, and they concluded that, yes there were three airborne divisions in England, and that Holland was the only occupied territory still within range of Allied transport aircraft, but a landing as far in their rear as Arnhem was unlikely.

I don’t know whether to bother with the section about how the Cambridge spies furthered Soviet interests by betraying the plans to the Germans.

I recently mentioned that there are current estimates suggesting the US will require 35 times current electricity consumption in order to get super AI off and running.

I’m going to suggest that over a span of the next 50 years, the world will need 100 X current global electricity consumption and of course, we going to get it from plastic panels and propellers on sticks. LOL.

Get a load of this as we begin to move towards desal’ing water.

Desalinating Water Is Becoming “Absurdly Cheap”

Elon Musk schools Bill Maher.

Bill Maher recently interviewed Elon Musk. When Maher claimed that we are running out of water, Musk replied that “Earth is 70 percent water.” Maher shot back that “you can’t drink that.” Musk calmly replied that desalination is “absurdly cheap.”

How cheap is cheap? Energy Monitor notes that “globally, around 1% of the world’s drinking water is desalinated, but in Israel, that figure is around 25%.” Israel’s desalinated water comes from five desalination plants. The Sorek B plant has a capacity to desalinate 52.8 billion gallons a year and is contracted to produce water for $0.41 per cubic meter. There are around 264 gallons per cubic meter, so this puts the cost at about a penny per 6.4 gallons.

One hundred percent of the municipal water supply in the United Arab Emirates is desalinated. Dubai bloomed out of the desert with desalination technology. There are some 186 desalination facilities under construction or at the pre-construction phase around the world.

According to the website Filtration and Separation, in 2012, the cost to desalinate was $0.75 per cubic meter. In 2012, the average U.S. unskilled labor hourly wage was $10.97. In 2022, it had increased to $15.72. That puts the time price at about 4.14 minutes in 2012 and 1.56 minutes in 2022.

Put differently, in 2022 we were getting 165 percent more gallons of clean water for the same time price as was the case in 2012. Water abundance from desalination is growing at a 10.22 percent compound annual rate, doubling in abundance every seven years. These gains happened while we added 860 million people to the planet. Population was growing at a 1.14 percent annual rate, while desalination grew almost nine times faster.

Agile! Senile! Except when you aren’t:

Joe Biden described himself as a black woman during a radio interview, as calls mount for the 81-year-old to drop his re-election bid.

The US President stumbled over his words during an interview with Philadelphia’s WURD, seemingly mixing himself up with his Vice President Kamala Harris.

“By the way, I’m proud to be, as I said, the first vice president, first black woman… to serve with a black president. Proud to be involved of the first black woman on the Supreme Court. There’s so much that we can do because, look… we’re the United States of America,” he said.

Mr Biden appeared to be talking about his appointment of Kamala Harris as the United States’ first black female vice president.

Confusingly, he himself was previously vice president, which is likely what he was referring to when he said “to serve with a black president”.

The reference to the Supreme Court is Ketanji Brown-Jackson, the first black female justice, who was appointed by Biden in 2022.

Anyway, “Sliante” to you mob.

Payday for self funded retirees was Monday. I have wined and dined very well, and am becoming awash with very good single malt.

Life is too short to associate with the boring, wear badly fitting underwear, and drink cheap Scotch.

British farmers in for trouble.
Starmer only eats fish and his wife is a vegetarian. They raised the kids as veggies until the age of ten.
Both bloody lawyers.
They’ll regulate the place to death.

I am not too sure if anyone wants to know this, but yesterday’s attack on an Israeli solder in Karmiel shows the jihadi going for the neck. Exactly the same action as the Germany attack a few days ago. Holding the knife the same and the action of the arm. In Mali yesterday 21 people had their throats slits, probably the same reason. Same with the attack at the Assyrian Church in Sydney. Was the Uni Sydney attack the same – he went for the neck. It’s all in the Quran

First paragraphs set the tone. Herald Sun:

Acting Premier Ben Carroll has appeared to walk back comments made by his colleague, Police Minister Anthony Carbines, who took a swipe at magistrates and cast doubt over whether they were meeting community expectations.

On Thursday, Mr Carbines blindsided the legal sector when he implored the courts to explain their decisions to the Victorian people in the wake of the state’s youth crime crisis.

But one day later Mr Carroll, who is acting Premier while Jacinta Allan takes a week of leave, said he didn’t believe magistrates were too soft on young offenders.

“No. We have some of the strictest bail conditions in the nation. Let’s be clear, no person who is an unacceptable risk should be given bail,” he said when asked if the court system had been too lenient.

“We have to work with our police, we need to make sure they continue to be the most well resourced police in the nation, and we also have to work with our courts.”

Their view of reality is somewhat different to normal people. This after a bloke was run down. By a kid on bail. FMD

We have to work with

Translated:

‘We have to have seven focus groups, convened over 18 months, reporting to four steering committees, who will in turn make a recommendation to a Minister that isn’t me, that Something Be Done by 2028, as long as that Something doesn’t affect my prospects of re-election.

‘It’s our top priority.’

Home…finally. Sleep deprived and about to play catch up.

Alan Joyce featured in that Danger Dan spoof. Our last sector was Qantas. The meals served were shameful.

We rarely fly Q but went into their lounge in Melbourne when flying with another airline last year.
(That airline doesn’t have a dedicated lounge but has access to Q).
It was unadulterated trash.
Tired, limp food.
Cheap and nasty drinks.
Grubby furniture.

Their chocolate chip bikkies are really good though.

Someone will be counting the chocolate chips and drafting a cost saving memo as we speak.

Tesla is up 50% since last month, which was when Wodney told us the stock was heading much lower.

I bought some, as I mentioned, and I been adding to my position. The buying isn’t occurring because of the car business. It’s heading higher because of the bet that Musk comes out with self driving robo taxis and the robots. If this side is executed well, I’m not kidding, the Tesla could end up with a US$6 trillion market cap. Musk reckons $US30 trillion, but I’ll happily settle with a sixer. The current self driving software used in Tesla is supposedly the very best in the business by a huge margin.

I’m actually frightened how bullish I am on Tesla. I’m not exaggerating, if he executes well on the robo taxi and humanoid robots, Musk will be the first trillionaire.

One concerning aspect of the US stock market is that it currently represents 60% of the world’s total market valuation.

I see Kellie-Jay Keen secured a highly respectable 0.5% of the vote in Bristol Central. Very close race with the local Green who trudged miserably to a threadbare 56.6%. That’ll show ‘em.

Both these dudes made out out there calls, but they were also right with some huge calls.

I very optimistic about where we’re heading with AI and where it will end up. However, the point of contention with the bonehead troll was that I suggested demand for energy, caused by huge demand from AI models, will trip over energy needs in the US. We’re currently seeing evidence of this as server farms are scrambling around for energy and butting heads with traditional consumers. The trans bot appeared to have taken exception to that comment.

So this morning in the rush to leave for a few days I saw an email come in from the government with the headline ”Celebrating NAIDOC week”, to which I replied ”Yes, we are particularly enjoying celebrating NAIDOC week in Alice Springs.”

Because I have a read receipt on my emails, I just got another notice saying that my message was deleted without being read.

They would have been able to read the one liner before deleting it. Cowards.
