I haven’t even caught up with the day’s news yet re the hostages, ceasefire etc. but concur with everything said here about that Senator and the Hamas signage. There is so much bias and hypocrisy in the MSM that it could get depressing if you let it.

That’s why the Cat is always a respite from it.

Now I’ve promised Hairy I will cook dinner as he’s been doing man stuff around the house all afternoon, fixing small things. All I’ve done is look at my second son’s dog to see if the ears warrant a trip to the vet, as he was worried. Use the cream from last time and I’ll take him on Monday if it doesn’t clear up, I decided.

My parents have a gay son. No “fault” of theirs, no slur on their parenting, but for the Silent Generation a terrible burden. They can hardly bring themselves to talk of it openly, but they accept it quietly. And, being parents, they love him unconditionally.

+100

Were it not for the ‘gay lobby’ – as distinct from homosexuals minding their own business and on whose behalf the lobbyists don’t really speak anyway – life and society would be better for all concerned.

He has also told me that he has complained directly to one of the cops in attendance, he told the cop that the cry was anti-Semitic, the cop replied that they are “monitoring” the situation. Yeah, right. I tell you what they are doing, they are tolerating the intolerant, this is exactly what I wrote about here last night. We are ploughing our doom by tolerating this hatred, first it will be us Jews, then it will be the rest of you. It is why I call them the NSWaffen Police now. Quite apt I think.

In the meantime, I hope the parents of these ferals are proud.

By the way, who thinks that a hundreds of Neo-Nazis would be tolerated espousing racist slogans at Sydney Town Hall? Nah, I don’t think so.

Below is the last paragraph from the reply to my letter to the Minister for Police etc following the Opera House BS.

Just found out that there was a movie called The Velocipastor.

After losing his parents, a priest travels to China, where he inherits a mysterious ability that allows him to turn into a dinosaur. At first horrified by this new power, a hooker convinces him to use it to fight crime.

And ninjas.

I will check Netflix, but they probably made the priest a chick and gay, and lame. (In accordance with the dictates of the Panderverse.)

Not just Dutton, any conservative.

Also, if a conservative was standing near a sign supporting the ethnic cleansing of Muslims (whether aware of it or not), he or she would immediately lose his job, have to go into hiding, and probably be up on hate crime or incitement charges.

Having had a fair bit of experience with drafting responses to Ministerials, I am quite confident that, not only did the Minister not see neither your letter, but the whole matter was probably handled between a fairly junior “advisor” and a police liaison bureaucrat, who dug up the file of “Draft response number 13d”, added relevant personal details, and sent it back for signature.

In Mission Impossible news, Hun:

Age journalists have been warned by senior leaders at Nine Newspapers they will be barred from reporting on the war in Israel and Gaza if they publicise their personal views on the conflict by signing an open letter calling for ethical reporting on the war.

A joint letter — from the national editor of Nine newspapers, the editor of the Sydney Morning Herald, and the editors of the Age and Sunday Age — said the leadership team expected the “highest standard of impartiality” from its journalists.

“It is a strong-held tenet that our journalists’ personal agendas do not influence our reporting on news events. This applies across the board, including to our coverage of the current war in Israel and Gaza,” they said.

“Any newsroom staff who signed this latest industry letter will be unable to participate in any reporting or production relating to the war.

“We will continue to uphold the mastheads’ social media policy.

“This will have no impact on our capacity to continue to provide extensive, quality journalism on the topic.”

It was signed off by Tory Maguire, Patrick Elliot (sic), Bevan Shields and David King.

The Age editor’s surname (Elligett) was misspelled in the memo.

The letter from Australian journalists to local media outlets calls for “highlighting the human catastrophe” of the conflict, applying as much scepticism to the Israeli government as Hamas, giving adequate coverage of potential war crimes and providing historical context on the conflict.

“The conflict did not start on October 7 and it is the media’s responsibility to ensure audiences are fully informed,” the letter states.

It also states that “important contextual references” to inform readers of include “the expulsion of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their native lands in 1948”, the “illegal occupation” of Palestinian territories since 1967 and citing the thousands of Palestinians held in Israeli jails, “thousands of whom are held without charge”.

The letter also calls for Australian media outlets to provide “full and fair coverage” of the anti-war protests and transparency over journalists who have attended free trips to Israel paid for by pro-Israeli groups.

Australia/Israel and Jewish Affairs Council executive director Dr Colin Rubenstein said the letter was “the latest salvo in a campaign by groups of activist journalists to give primacy to the Palestinian narrative in reporting on the current conflict”.

It should be dismissed by anyone who regards ethics, objectivity, professionalism and a focus on factual accuracy as central to journalism.

It seems these mastheads will continue the pro Hamas commentary then.
And stifle your laughter about these papers being seen to be impartial kind reader, for they of course are not. The perfect storm of hubris and phuckwittery.

This is merely a recapitulation of the fact that the police do dick about crime, restricting themselves to turning up afterwards to take statements to be forwarded to insurers. They do not pursue criminals.

Here they are saying they will stand around uselessly until something happens, then they merely respond – such as arresting one person with a flag within their rights rather than making clear to the Palis that this person’s action is also protected by law and that they must tolerate it.

As it is, Pali-fans will look at the police and be convinced that the more aggressive they are, the more police will protect them – to preserve the peace.

No you stupid bint, that’s how Hamas views their fellow Arabs who voted for them 17 years ago as the Gaza government. For Israel it’s not a prisoner exchange – it’s blackmail. What never ceases to amaze me is the leftist hatred of children and then hiding behind them.
They kill the baby, full term, they use the child to dob in their parents to social services to break up the family unit, they now use the child to push for non existent causes – their future, all the time lefties are child free people/ couples.
They want to take away the child at the time they give their parents the most joy and at the time the child develops the safety of their parents love which sets them up for balanced and socially positive behaviour – toddler to age 6.
The lefties occupy these jobs as they love tearing people apart. – especially the kind , happy and good natured , God help you if they find out you are a Christian.

Terry McCrann ragging on Blackout Bowen. Again:

Chris Bowen, the minister for destroying our electricity system, has now made it official.

He – with the apparent endorsement of both the, mostly, literally, absent prime minister, and the figuratively gone missing-in-inaction treasurer – is going all-in on energy insanity.

He’s embarked on splashing around – quite literally, sending blowing into the wind – tens of billions of dollars of our money. Of your money.

So yes, it meets at least the definition of insanity.

That’s, doing the same thing – force-feeding investment in the fake energy generation of so-called renewables, combined with run-out-of-juice in an hour or two horrendously expensive batteries – and expecting a different result. That’s to say, reliable electricity.

So yes, he’s doing it again, and hoping that we don’t end up with blackouts and brown-outs.

But in the process, actually making them even more certain.

Bad and crazy enough? Then factor in that Thursday’s announcement from Bowen didn’t just

double, but went five-fold, down.

In July, just five months ago, the Albanese-Chalmers-plus Kooks Government’s so-called Capacity Investment Scheme was going to “unlock” – that’s to really say, pork-barrel with taxpayer billions – some $10bn of investment and “add 6GW” to support (please don’t laugh too hard) “grid reliability and security”.

Now, the government is ramping up the spend – the throw-money on the pork-barrel – to something well north of $15bn. It won’t tell us how much: so much for the PM’s promised transparency.

Its target is now not 6GW of additional, laughably described, generation; but 32GW.

That’s supposedly to come from a mix of 9GW of “dispatchable capacity” and 23GW of “variable capacity”. Variable means 23GW “variable” down to zero.

We are going to be spending somewhere north of $50bn – of which at least $15bn will be taxpayer money – to actually add zip, zero, not even a single 1GW of real power generation to the grid.

You can write off that 23GW, in total, upfront, for starters.

That’s supposed to be mostly wind, followed by solar, and then whatever other crazy-green fantasy can – come in (taxpayer) sucker – suck money out of Bowen’s energy destruction department.

As we know from experience both here and overseas, no, wind can not blow everywhere at the same time; and the sun does, most days, turn off at night.

So, there will be times that the 23GW of so-called capacity will end up generating zip, zero, nada electricity. Or very close to.

Then there’s that 9GW of so-called dispatchable power. Yes, it might include, actual, reliable gas generation, but a lot of it will be batteries.

Ask yourself: what do you plug a big battery into when it goes flat?

Those wind and solar monstrosities, spouting all over the landscape.

So, we will have all these batteries to provide the emergency power, for an hour or two, when the wind don’t blow and the sun don’t shine – relying on the wind blowing and the sun shining to re-charge.

Furthermore, the very act of force-feeding all this functionally useless generation will accelerate the closure of the real, reliable power stations.

It really is men-in-white coats time. For our own salvation.

Quite so.

I prefer star pickets

They come in one acceptable condition only: Rusty.
Anything else is a dreadful faux pax.

Still one of the greatest pop songs of the last twenty years – the Anderson and that mythical Brunette at the end (4:18) – sacre bleu! 🙂

Anyway, Sliante to you lot.

I’m damned if I know how Mehreen Faruqi can continue to sit in the Senate, honestly I am.

The most obvious and toxic effect of collectivism is the concept of “divide, conquer and rule”, which results in the atomisation of previously coherent societies, such as Oz until about 1994.

No prizes for guessing the short blind deformed cretin elected after the homosexual from Bankstown.

It appears that my nephew who died suddenly while driving the header was the victim of a genetic inheritance.
I am apallingly lazy and disinterested concerning extended family, but I always liked this fellow who was moderate, gentle, generous and thoughtful.
But it now appears that he was sitting atop a family volcano that would have made a credible plot for a Victorian three volume family saga.
A relation told me that post the current genuine abiding grief, the next meeting of the board of the family trust may well be reflective of a ‘how not to’ tutorial for an estate planning seminar.
I shall stay well clear.

Wise move. A family member went to God, intestate, several years ago, and the consequences were far reaching.

She’s a tribute to the make-up artists, rabz. Completely artificial. Whether there’s a real woman underneath is anybody’s guess.

Johanna:

We are lucky to be an island, but even here cracks are appearing in the dam wall (thanks, Albo!) and TheirABC frequently runs stories about battling businesses who need migrant labour. Plus sob stories about relatives in less fortunate parts of the world who the nasty government is forcing to live in squalor.
I’m hoping that a massive backlash will create physical, legal and political barriers to prevent the dam wall from breaking.
Because, if it keeps on raining, the levee’s gonna break.

The very non amusing part of all this was to go to an election with immigration as a central part of it, and implement the public wishes.
Oh, wait we did that and now the problem is worse.

Black Ball:

The union representing 56,000 Victorian bureaucrats is refusing to back down on a four-day working week trial as part of a radical new wages deal.
The issue is emerging as a key sticking point in ongoing negotiations with the Allan government that are now locked in a stalemate.

I’d say that 50% of the State bureaucracy could be replaced by a moderately sized call centre in Dubai, or even better still – disbanded. That half of the bureaucracy should be put on notice to justify their Golden Sofa over the last financial year.

Rain! Rain!

Wazzat OldAussie.
Are you some kind of BOM fantasist?
We can’t even remember rain up here in real Oz.

We’ve had nearly a week of gentle rain, thunderstorms, downpours and sunny skies.
Perfect rainfall pattern – the deluges have the chance to soak in and refill the ground before the next lot comes down.

She needs to report this to the police.

If she does, there’s a chance one – at least – hopeful will get their visa chucked in the bin.
Definitely worth a try.
