Senior cabinet minister the next victim of QLD’s youth crime crisis with house robbed and car stolen

By Mikaela Mulveney
Updated 6:01PM February 8, 2024, First published at 5:13PM February 8, 2024

A Queensland MP has fallen victim to the youth crime crisis gripping the state after his house was broken into and car stolen this week.

Townsville MP Scott Stewart’s home was broken into by teenagers in the early hours of the morning on February 4.

The large north Queensland town has remained the ‘youth crime capital’ of the state.

Queensland’s youth crime crisis was in the spotlight this week after the brutal stabbing of a 70-year-old grandmother, Vyleen White in front of her six-year-old granddaughter at the Redbank Plains Shopping Centre, west of Brisbane.

The state government and judiciary have come under fire as it was revealed the 16-year-old charged with her murder was on bail for armed robbery charges.

A Queensland Police Spokesperson confirmed Mr Stewart’s home was broken into between 12.30am and 4am, where several items were stolen including a pair of car keys.

His Hyundai Santa Fe was taken by the thieves for a joy ride and was dumped that afternoon at 3pm.

A 15-year-old boy was charged with enter dwelling and commit, stealing and three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

The teenager was refused bail and is set to appear in Townsville Children’s Court next month.

Police are still investigating the incident.

Mr Stewart and his family were not injured in the incident.

I’ll bet the offender is sentenced to ninety nine years in solitary confinement, the first forty years to be served hanging upside down, in chains.

Bentley assault: Boy, 11, charged over assault on 69-year-old man outside his home as police hunt group
Phil Hickey and Dylan Caporn The West Australian
Thu, 8 February 2024 4:40PM
Cannington Detectives have charged one male and are appealing for public assistance as they continue to investigate a serious assault which occurred in Bentley on Monday 5 January 2024.

Cannington Detectives have charged one male and are appealing for public assistance as they continue to investigate a serious assault which occurred in Bentley on Monday 5 January 2024.

Cowardly and abhorrent is how police have described a shocking attack on a 69-year-old man outside his Perth home which has resulted in charges for an 11-year-old boy.

The boy’s young age and his alleged involvement in the brutal January 15 assault on the man outside his Bentley home has prompted fears of an escalating youth crime crisis in our State — a claim rejected by Premier Roger Cook.

Police will allege the 11-year-old boy was one of three people to set upon the man outside his home when he confronted a group of youths who were throwing rocks at a home under construction in his street.

Cannington detectives have charged the young boy with acts or omissions causing bodily harm or danger.

Three of these heroes beat up a 69 year old man.

to what extent did they feel empowered to act thus by recent police inaction in Sydney?

A great extent, I would have thought.

You know, NSWPlod could have minimised this appalling state of affairs by having their Commish Karen (ha) front a presser and saying:

‘You know what? We were wrong by not stamping this shit out when it first appeared at the Opera House, and we understand that ‘certain community elements’ now feel empowered to do whatever they like.

‘We. Were. Wrong. But it all ends now, and from this exact second forward it will be el smacko for anyone behaving in that manner.’

They won’t of course – because they missed that boat by about three months, and also because they’re terrified of annoying the government.

I wish the journolice would eff off with the ‘joy ride’ shite. It downplays the potential seriousness of the alleged crimes. Cars in the hands of reckless and inexperienced drivers can be tools of death.

The ‘boy’ stole a vehicle and used it without permission, dumping it in a condition that has not been described. That’s it. There is no need to use the phrase ‘joy ride’ because it adds nothing to the information being communicated about the alleged offense.

Someone explain to me the reasoning that prevented that 69 year old gent from having a Browning 9mm, or handgun of his choice, to respond to that attack on his person.

Tell me that the possibility of him being so armed wouldn’t have given that 11 year old pause.

Martin Armstrong is clearly a con man with a most implausible claim about his computer predictions. He is also quite intelligent and well informed about some things. I find his opinions and arguments quite interesting.
What baffles me about some of the commentary here is the assumption that people have to line up and either see him as an innocent and wise guru or a lying blackguard. I see him as somewhere in between. Do I trust him? Of course not, I don’t trust anyone. Do I hate him for being a crook? No. Conmen serve a useful purpose, they punish gullibility.
The question for me is, is he interesting? And the answer is, occasionally. So I hope JR continues to put up his posts.

At Least 30 Hostages in Gaza Are Dead, Israel Says – Ronen Bergman
Israeli intelligence officers have concluded that at least 30 of the remaining 136 hostages captured by Hamas on Oct. 7 have died since the start of the war, according to a confidential assessment. “We have informed 31 families that their captured loved ones are no longer among the living and that we have pronounced them dead,” IDF Spokesman Rear-Adm. Daniel Hagari said Tuesday.

Officials said that Israeli intelligence officers assess that at least 20 other hostages may have also been killed. Some of the dead were killed inside Israel on Oct. 7, but their bodies were taken by Hamas to Gaza. Others were injured and died of their injuries after being abducted to Gaza. Others still were killed by Hamas once inside Gaza. (New York Times)

[Source: JCPA].

Wait for the latest Filth Filter reports of Israel targeting humanitarian aid trucks in Gaza. This time it’s true, however.

Palestinians Don’t Want a Two-State Solution – Neville Teller (Jerusalem Post)
A two-state solution means that one of the two states is Israel. But “From the river to the sea” means the removal of the State of Israel.

While the two-state solution appeals to world opinion, it is not what the majority of Palestinian opinion favors.

The latest authoritative poll in December revealed that 64% of Palestinians are opposed to a two-state solution.

Hamas is rooted in rejectionism. Their total raison d’etre remains to eliminate Israel.

Since the massacre of Oct. 7, Hamas has gained unprecedented support within the Arab world and among the Palestinian populace.

Palestinian statehood means something quite different to majority Arab opinion than it does to the ardent two-staters.

I heard him say nonsense statements so I stopped listening. He’s an evolutionary biologist, not the appropriate profession for such a complex subject.

John H, I beg to differ. He made pertinent statements that went to the heart of the sex differences issue.

The microchimeric cells was one example of complex changes that occur. I’m no apologist for the spectrum rubbish and your inferences about being an apologist is pejorative nonsense because time and again I have made it perfectly clear that the current trend is going way too far.

There is a huge body of research that you casually dismiss as groupthink thereby exercising the source fallacy and do so even though like findings are found in other animals and most critically, this research has been around for decades, long before the current absurdities. Many years ago I read some of it. Confusing, difficult, but at least I tried. Have you?

When people throw out the groupthink accusation is beholden them to prove that point. Arguments presented without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. When I see those claims without supporting I conclude that they are making stuff up leaving me with the choice but to do some digging, or as I did today, spend a few hours playing only to find just 15 minutes ago the enemy has scored a major blow against me and I have lost most of my ships. That’s how seriously I take arguments without evidence.

I will probably cop some flak but I posted this on FB today, I am ropable…

Every Tasmanian should be aware that these named Senators are amongst those who voted to prevent us from finding out why so many seemingly healthy Tasmanians and other Australians are unexpectedly and suddenly dying.

There are statistics printed in the Mercury that show that 1038 excess deaths have occured in Tasmania over a period of around 18 months (The highest percentage increase in Australia). This against a backdrop of an average of around 4347 deaths over a 9 year period to 2017. (1038 represents an increase of 15.92% above average) under NO circumstances is accepting that acceptable, no matter what political party we support. We need answers.

I believe every Tasmanian deserves answers to why this has happened and continues to happen.

A vote was held in the Australian Federal Senate yesterday to establish an enquiry to investigate the reasons for all these excess deaths after the pandemic has long passed and the deaths continue to occur all across the country.

Well, surprise, surprise. The vile Australian Labor Senators, dopey Greens and even dopier Jacqui Lambie Network Senators from Tasmania all voted against holding such an enquiry.

We would have to be a bit flabbergasted to try and fathom why people we elected tp represent us on every stage in the world would turn their backs so callously against us. We are equal citizens in a supposedly free country who so desperately want answers to why our family members, work colleages, friends and associates, who seemed to be healthy suddenly drop dead without any warning or apparent reason.

These bastards, who can give us the answers we desperately need dy holding an enquiry are not our superiors, they are leaches, sucking on the taxpayers teat. They demanded we take, untested experimental drugs which to this day still only have provisional approval. They only have conditional approval after 3 years and over 69,000,000 individual vaccinations in Australia BECAUSE THE BASTARDS DON’T KNOW IF THEY ARE SAFE. But they still demanded (mandated) that we take them.

But alas these charlatans, who take a salary and benefits package of $306,850 per year plus perks out of our pockets. It is time for us to hold these people accountable. It does not matter which political party Tasmanians support, every one of us should be absolutely outraged at this blatant betrayal. None of them deserve our support or vote at the next election.

These are the ones who betrayed every one of us:

Helen Polly – ALP
Ann Urquhart – ALP
Carol Brown – ALP
Catryna Bityk -ALP
Peter Wish Wilson – Australian Greens
Nick McKim – Australian Greens
Jacqui Lambie – Jacqui Lambie Network
Tammy Tyrrell – Jacqui Lambie Network

– They either don’t care about the thousands of Australians who have died including all those Tasmanians

or

– They don’t want us (the people) to know of the horrendous mistakes they made as politicians when they FORCED us under the threat of losing jobs, houses, income, access to supermarkets, schools, restaurants, travel, shutting down businesses etc.

There are no other options, it must be one or the other or both.

Every Tasmanian should contact these Senators and demand an answer about why they betrayed us. I certainly will be and I intend to inform everyone of their answers and continue communicating their betrayal until the next election and beyond if necessary.

This is too important to let slip past without action.

The North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency is now at risk of losing $20m per year in government funding following revelations, published in The Australian last week, that vulnerable Aboriginal people accused of crimes in one of Australia’s most dangerous criminal jurisdictions, Alice Springs, are being forced to represent themselves due to staff leaving the organisation in droves.

For the first time since this masthead revealed allegations of corruption tearing apart the organisation and forcing the mass exodus of staff, NAAJA’s former acting chief executive Olga Havnen has broken her silence, saying the board does not possess “high level skills” and needs to be removed immediately.

“The board has struggled to deal effectively with strategic and risk challenges facing NAAJA,” she told The Australian.

Ms Havnen has called for an updated membership structure, immediate changes to the senior leadership team and an entirely new board.

“There are no independent non-member directors and I don’t believe that directors have the requisite high level skills, knowledge or expertise necessary for ensuring appropriate oversight of management and operations of a large complex organisation,” she said.

I find your arguments regarding the Leavenworth mufti (Marty) and Woddenhead a little inconsistent. Let me explain.

99% of the Mufti’s scrawl is either utter nonsense or often plagiarized as people have often shown. The idea the imbecile developed a sentient AI going back to the mid 80s is laughable nonsense.

I find his sidekick just as stupid and annoying as you find Monty, who seems to trigger you quite frequently.

So, I’m not buying this laissez-faire view of the world that your now demonstrating.

Just like you find Monty to be an idiot, Woddenhead is much more so and much more dishonest than Monster. Monster isn’t a venom filled, chip of your shoulder CHAV like this idiot who pollutes to the blog with idiocy.

Try a little consistency, or at least be more tolerant of other people’s intolerance too.

I would like to see a list archived on this site, of all the principal decision-makers, from all states, who contributed either actively or passively, to the dystopian nightmare that was the covidiocy. Given the resources they all had access to, either directly or otherwise, there can be no accepting ‘We didn’t know any better.’ The passion with which some exploited their moments of tyranny justifies, to me anyway, my collective name for them: The Lords and Ladies of Fire. Like pyromaniacs, they sated their deepest, most disturbing needs without remorse. ‘Burn the peasants! Burn them! There are plenty more where they came from!’

Mostly dogs and horses, but we can’t forget the thousands of pigeons, hawks and falcons and others. A cat saved many lives also and was awarded the Dicken Medal.

And here’s something to make you smile, this morning when I was walking to the bus, I saw a man who lives locally. He has three cattle dogs. I see him walking the dogs every morning, on three leads. My family are mad about the following breeds, Australian terriers, cattle dogs, kelpies and poodles. I know, it’s an odd mix of canine breeds but I come from an eccentric family, particularly when it comes to dogs. Cattle dogs are incredibly loyal to the family but they don’t like strangers. Anyway, the man sat down on a bench on Oxford Street and I knew my sister would love to see them so I asked the man if I could take a picture of him with his three dogs, he said yes (I was standing about four metres away). However, as I focused my phone on the man with his three cattle dogs, to take the photo, one of the cattle dogs growled at me loudly. I knew the dog was saying to me, “how dare you, you didn’t ask me, and I don’t like you violating my personal space!”

I smiled.

As bitter as I am about my experience at the hands of institutional psychopaths, I’m also aware that correlation is not causation. I know someone who has undergone a similar experience as myself (loss of employment and hence income, with follow-on consequences in terms of housing, mental and physical health issues) and connects in her mind, practically every negative medical incident she hears of to the so-called ‘vaccines.’ I believe there are enough ‘coincidences’ to warrant a proper examination of the whole covid fiasco, but I have neither trust in, nor respect for, ANY remaining individual or institution.

I stated my support of Digger’s post because there have been no examinations of what has been the most profoundly influential period in this country during the past three or four decades.

I always come back to thinking that when packaged lettuce or processed smallgoods are thought to have been the cause of food poisoning, the response is normally to remove all of that item from the retail shelves throughout the country, simply as a precaution. But the so-called ‘vaccines’? Nah.

Anyway … it’s mentally tiring re-experiencing this sh!t. Feckit.

She was very friendly toward anyone, but if she sensed the slightest hesitation to someone from me, the hackles would rise slowly and a very low growl which would build in intensity if the situation didn’t relax.
Mickey left quite a few fang marks in various hairy legs. Good girl. 😀

American CEOs traveling to China face big challenges. Perhaps the most terrifying? The local tradition that business leaders dance and sing on stage to huge crowds.

When Jensen Huang, the Taiwan-born American chief executive of Nvidia
, the trillion-dollar Silicon Valley chip company, visited local employees in Shanghai last month, cheering staffers summoned him onto stage to participate in a Chinese folk dance.
Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, dancing.

The 60-year-old Huang, who was raised in Oregon and is now among the world’s richest men, had swapped his signature black-leather jacket for a floral-patterned vest. He twirled a red handkerchief in each hand while trying to swing his hips and lift his legs to the rhythm of “The Dearest,” a Chinese song about yearning for one’s home and parents, according to videos, which weren’t released by Nvidia but independently distributed anyway.

The moving parts weren’t exactly in alignment, as they might say back at the office.

“His dance moves were kinda stiff and his legs and arms were uncoordinated,” says David Chen, a Nvidia engineer in Shanghai.

Jeez Louise, don’t anyone ever say a CEO’s job is easy and well paid. Sacrifices have to be made.

Making the insurance claim the company at first rejected the claim but humoured them with camping in a creek bed is fraught with expectation of flood under any condition ( I myself have camped in a creek bed under similar circumstances except I was already half pissed) but added “when was the last time it flooded?) This is the clincher for the payout. 500 years ago noted in history of the area. They fell about like it happened moments beforehand. I think the claim was more important than the award.

I’m tempted to add the CEO of my former employer, a regional health service, but I think that might be overly complicating matters. Feel free to add to the list. We may need to tweak it or add categories. The concept is simply to maintain a list of names of the principle decision-makers that at the time overrode the normally expected rights of individuals. For some, the rejection of these rights brought long-lasting damage to their quality of life. The efforts to manage Covid-19 also wrought measurable damage to important institutions, such as state health and education systems. The economic consequences of the decisions then made will impact future generations.

There is no intimation or direct statement that names on this list should receive anything other than the standard and socially accepted legal consequences of their actions should it be confirmed such actions breached laws or regulations that existed at the time.

* I’m happy to consider snappier suggestions for the list name.

I would apologise to the more sensitive souls but its not really something I do. Gross doesn’t really convey the disgust I have for such people. I guess just another run of the mill politician. It is had to differentiate between them anymore.

I started my FaceBook rants with a special post for Lambie.

It took me a while to figure out why she looked familiar. She was the monster under my bed when I was four years old.

She was as hideous then as she is now.

A snappier suggestion is a crocodile but as a protected species should we inflict such people upon them. Like sharks, there are some things even they won’t eat. We do know politicians will eat their own.

“Sliante” to all you horrible mob.

I’m reading a very good book, on the “Breaker Morant” episode, by a South African military historian, Charles Leach. He puts the number of murders committed by the
Bushveldt Carbiners at thirty five, and asks “How many unarmed Boers, attempting to surrender, do you have you shoot, to be considered a war criminal.”

I’ve recently arrived in NZ to visit my best and most likely my only mate. I was supposed to picked up from the airport by someone that turned out to be quite ill. The wife of the ex SAS guy was whom I only met last year arrived, explained the situation so am staying at their place. We’ve just knocked over a litre of Laphroaig, solved half the worlds problems and would have started on the next bottle. He doesn’t drink malt but thought it not too bad. To all the Cats that have served, thankyou, this is one of your brothers in arms who has made me welcome, shown a perspective maybe not as I might surmise, the ability to see through the lens of being shot at and not holding the shooter as responsible as the people that got them into the mess in the first place. I’m glad it was never me. What he said to me I thought quite profound, “There’ll never be justice for all, just a few, the rest of them protected by laws in case it went the other way and in the end I really only care for the love of my wife and daughter.” For those of us, myself included, who propose what to do about the world’s problems I think it might be better left to ones that have been shot at. “In vino veritas” but we’d already finished the wine. I’m going fishing tomorrow while he goes shooting.

FMD. Then why is he President? Ladies and gentlemen, the 2 tiered justice system in America writ large. Herald Sun:

Joe Biden will escape criminal charges over wilfully keeping classified files in his home because an independent investigator decided it would be too difficult to prosecute the “elderly man with a poor memory”.

The US President was let off by special counsel Robert Hur despite his year-long investigation uncovering evidence that Mr Biden kept classified documents in his garage and basement from his eight-year stint as Barack Obama’s vice president.

Many of the files – including Mr Biden’s handwritten notebooks – related to his opposition to Mr Obama’s decision to send more troops to Afghanistan, some of which he shared with his ghostwriter who deleted recordings of their interviews when he learned of the probe.

But Mr Hur determined criminal charges were not warranted because “the evidence does not establish Mr Biden’s guilt beyond a reasonable doubt”.

His conclusion sparked an angry reaction from Republicans, given former president Donald Trump is facing charges over his mishandling of classified materials after leaving the White House.

Mr Trump raged that Mr Biden’s case was “100 times different and more severe than mine” and that he “did nothing wrong”.

He accused the Department of Justice in an all-caps social media post of “election interference” and “unconstitutional selective prosecution”.

Mr Hur, who was appointed to investigate the President by Attorney-General Merrick Garland, said there were “material distinctions” between the two cases.

In his report, he noted that Mr Trump allegedly refused to return classified documents that were requested by authorities and enlisted others to destroy evidence and lie about it.

Mr Biden consented to searches and sat for a voluntary interview with Mr Hur, although the special counsel said his memory was “significantly limited” during their discussion.

The President failed to remember when his vice presidential term started and ended, saying “when did I stop being vice president?” and “in 2009, am I still vice president?”.

He also failed to remember “even within several years” when his son Beau died, and made mistakes in his recall of the Afghanistan debate including suggesting he had a “real difference” of opinion with a general who actually supported his views.

Mr Hur said he believed a jury would consider that Mr Biden “made an innocent mistake, rather than acting wilfully – that is, with the intent to break the law”.

“Mr Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory,” he said.

“It would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him – by then a former president well into his eighties – of a serious felony that requires a mental state of wilfulness.”

The Republican-led House Judiciary Committee retorted: “If you’re too old to be charged for a potential crime, you probably shouldn’t be President.”

But White House counsel Richard Sauber and Bob Bauer blasted Mr Hur’s “entirely superfluous” remarks about the President’s memory, accusing him of “investigative excess” with his “inaccurate and inappropriate comments”.

Authorities were able to recover some deleted recordings made by the ghostwriter of Mr Biden’s memoirs, including one in which he referred to finding “all the classified stuff downstairs”.

But the President argued in his interview that his notebooks were “my property” and that “every president before me has done the exact same thing” in keeping them.

Mr Hur acknowledged that the Justice Department had once said that former president Ronald Reagan’s “currently classified” diaries were his “personal records”.

In a statement after the report was released, Mr Biden said “co-operated completely” with the investigation, even spending five hours in interviews in the two days after Hamas’s October 7 attack on Israel.

“I just believed that’s what I owed the American people so they could know no charges would be brought and the matter closed,” he said.

Just an odious state of affairs.

“Forgive my ignorance, but exactly who/what is being accused here?

It seems unlikely that being a resident of Tasmania is of itself deadly, so what is theorized to have caused an increase in deaths there?”

Perhaps the first question should be: is this a statistically significant variation in “excess deaths” based on historical data, and if so, how large?
Because the larger the variation from what we would expect, the more it would appear to have a “cause” that we may be able to track down – “rare” events can and do happen by chance, but the rarer they are, the more likely they have an external cause.
Then, once we know how significant a change from “normal” it appears to be, we can look for events that show some sort of temporal correlation, and investigate whether or not there is reason to believe that any such “event” was potentially causative.
Given that excess death data from other countries also appears to show an up-tick, then this may allow us to find more likely candidates for cause that appear in all such countries, rather than just in Tasmania or Australia.
That’s not pointing the finger at anyone or anything until we get some hard data on what we are actually seeing and what causes – if any – may be worth investigating.

Do you find fault with such an approach?
I have to say that given what some have suggested as causative, then even should you feel that such suggestions are incorrect, an investigation as outlined above would be beneficial, especially to trust in authorities. The more open and complete, the better, I would have thought.
