As it was, I don’t believe we had gamma before the health gurus plumped for delta. I understand that a body called the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV) has naming rights. I would just say omicron is the fifteenth letter of the Greek alphabet. Thus, only nine are left. So, care is needed in skipping letters in future lest we run out of letters. Bet your life, the virus has many more shapes to take.
Apparently, the new strain has thirty mutations on the spike protein. I think. Who would have thought ordinary folk would talk this way and be understood. Big pharma is lickin’ its lips. Boosters, augmenters, whole new vaccines, the dollars will keep rollin’ in.
Politicians too will get a fillip in throwing their weight around. Banning travel, locking people indoors, masking them; those barbed-wire quarantine centres will come in handy. What a lark.
You know that advice we all get when given antibiotics. Take the whole course. That’s to prevent bacteria becoming resistant to the antibiotic. How about a vaccine which allows the virus to live in abundance within the host? Might that not provide the evolutionary opportunity for novel strains to develop, resistant to the vaccine?

I was simply speculating about the effect on mutations of vaccines which allow hosts to incubate full viral loads and pass on the virus. Might this have an effect 0f producing strains which are more deadly than would otherwise be the case?

The number of Omicron mutations quoted is based on a comparison with the original Beta variant.
The Omicron count of 30 INCLUDES all the Delta mutations, as it’s a derivative of Delta.
Delta had “more than 20 mutations” compared to Beta.
Therefore the new variant has between 1 and 10 more mutations than Delta.
So it is less different to Delta than Delta was to the original strain.

Covid vaccines are more dangerous but exactly as useless as all the others.
Doctors are the sole gatekeepers as to the testing/diagnosis of all other “vaccine preventable” diseases and they don’t like diagnosing/testing for a particular condition if the patient is vaccinated for it.
With covid, anybody can get themselves tested [with a meaningless test] so cases still happen.
Vaccines *never* reduce disease but in the case of covid they don’t even *appear* to reduce it. There is no endgame. They have to stop testing but they don’t know how.
They don’t become more or less of anything.
The whole “they mutate into harmless [or more virulent] forms” makes absolutely zero sense.
If there’s a quadrillion “dangerous viruses” and there’s a mutation in one, now harmless, virus particle then you still have a quadrillion (minus one) dangerous virus particles.
And yet morons line up to get a new flu shot every year for 5 new strains – never asking themselves how they expect to be protected from all the millions of strains that had come before and *still exist*.
And bacterial resistance to antibiotics isn’t real either. It appears that way because antibiotics don’t “work” the way we think they do.
Depending on the patient and where they are in their healing, antibiotics – as well as analgesics, vitamin C, colloidal silver, ivermectin, antihistamines, anti-virals and alcohol – can suppress symptoms. All that’s happening is that you’re delaying healing. The stronger the “drug” the greater the symptom suppression (and hence, healing delay) such that with some (especially antibiotics), you can delay it for weeks or months.
When it doesn’t even appear to work for the patient, doctors blame “antibiotic resistance” but in the same hospital they’ll use the same drug on a different patient with the same symptoms and it will “work” just fine.
Antibiotics can “work” (suppress symptoms) even when they’re shown to be incapable of killing the “culprit” bacteria in vitro.
Conversely, they can be shown to kill “culprit” bacteria just fine in vitro even when they don’t appear to “work” at all for a patient.

Update: Youngest daughter doing a little better following the mRNA Pfizer (first shot) causing Myocarditis. Her Lymph nodes (neck & groin) have gone back to normal, breathing a little easier and her chest pain (heart & left lung) have eased to a constant ache. She’s just waiting for the next severe attack (expected yearly for the rest of her life) so she can do it all over again/sarc – it’s only taken 10 weeks since that jab to get to this point. Thank you Johanna. Yep, I think that she will be eligible depending on the rules that the public servants will eventually apply. Me thinks that because she is still alive that that might be an impediment in the same way that still being alive is an impediment to getting a medical exemption. NSW requires that one must have tried all available vaccines before a medical exemption can be issued, written clearly on the second page of the exemption application form. Clearly one must either be in a coma or dead to get an exemption approved. Who would have thought that if one mRNA vaccine nearly killed one that one should be frog-marched to get another mRNA vaccine just to be sure.
