Wally, I ordered it from India (12 packs for $150). If Dover gives you my email, which he has my permission to do, I’ll send you the email address. Things is, though, it took seven weeks to arrive. Apparently they ship it first to the US (judging by the tracking number), and re-send from there. Perhaps to make it a less likely target for customs inspection, but who knows. Anyway, the package got here eventually.

And believe me, it worked.

Son gets $50,000, ex-wives nothing out of Edelsten’s $1 million estate
Carolyn Webb
By Carolyn Webb
January 21, 2022 — 2.00am

Flamboyant businessman Geoffrey Edelsten – once known for his lavish lifestyle, which featured sports cars and big spending on women – has left his only child just over $50,000 out of an estate worth just over $1 million, according to probate documents.

Edelsten’s will specifies that he left nothing to two of his ex-wives, Brynne Gordon and Gabi Grecko, having provided for them, he writes, “substantially” and “excessively” during his marriages to them.

Edelsten also explained why he was leaving his son Matthew Beard $50,000 plus $1000 per year from the will’s date, in 2017, until Edelsten’s death at 78 in June last year.

The will states Edelsten has “limited the benefit” to his son, saying that “during my lifetime, I have provided substantial financial support to him, at the request of his mother, without question and despite having limited contact with him”.

“I made almost all of these payments when I myself was in financial difficulty.”

Edelsten’s will states he has made “no provision” for his former wives Brynne Gordon and Gabriella Rose Curtis — also known as Gabi Grecko — having made “substantial and excessive provision” for them during their marriages.

The will makes no mention of Edelsten’s first wife, Leanne Edelsten, who he married in the 1980s, although she is listed among his three former spouses on his death certificate.

The probate on Edelsten’s estate, granted this week in the Supreme Court of Victoria, shows that Edelsten left $300,000 to his friend, Lewi Karalis.

Edelsten also left 10 per cent of his gross estate — limited to $100,000 — to his former school, Melbourne’s Mount Scopus Memorial College, and an equal proportion to Carlton Football Club.

Edelsten, who died in his apartment in Melbourne’s St Kilda Road, was famous for founding a chain of medical clinics and for once owning the Sydney Swans AFL club.

He was known for his lavish lifestyle, which featured sports cars and big spending on women, despite debts of millions of dollars.

In 2015 The Age reported he settled his bankruptcy case, with key creditors agreeing to take a few cents in the dollar to wipe out up to $30 million of accrued debt. The tax office claimed it was owed $14 million.

In the probate documents, the inventory of Edelsten’s assets and liabilities lists no real estate.

It says he had a personal estate or personal assets of $1,089,177. However, of this amount, $998,614 is listed as “Other private loan — Barclays Consulting Group”.

Other assets include $60,000 in a Commonwealth Bank account and personal belongings worth $25,000.

The documents state that Edelsten’s liabilities are $39,731 including legal and commercial bills of over $15,000 and outstanding rent of more than $18,000.

Comment has been sought from Mr Beard, Ms Gordon and Ms Curtis/Grecko.

Lots of people have taken themselves out of the local news loop because it’s all pathetic leftist propaganda so when the Australia Day Fireworks came very early and were bigger, longer & louder than ever before, it scared people.

You’ve still lost me as to how an entire town’s population could all somehow forget en masse about a universally recognised and known holiday that has always featured some form of fireworks display in the evening.

And how not paying attention to the local news somehow caused shock and dismay.

Maybe I need to eat more pizza in order to understand this phenomenon…

BTW, Ballarat, Home of The Eureka Rebellion, a Home Away From Home for American Servicemen, Aussie Army Reservists, the Only National War Memorial outside of Canberra … but also Home of the World’s Longest Running Eisteddfod & a Uni Town, quietly did away with AUSTRALIA DAY by having (what are no longer The Australia Day), Fireworks early for some new made up summer festival and only referring to the day they used to [be] on, as “the 26th of January”.”

See, it’s just a day of a month now. They couldn’t even name The Day, Australia Day, as the date they took the fireworks from.

They NO LONGER CELEBRATE AUSTRALIA DAY with their traditional Australia Day Fireworks.

They had their biggest ever fireworks display some 9 days early on a made up, nothing date.

They got away with this in a major regional city with very deep roots in building, protecting & defending Christendom but for dicks like you it’s only an excuse to ‘be popular’ by kicking the ‘unpopular’ kid.

Your Pandemic is Over

And now a short aside. In 1942, thousands of French mothers and their children were herded into the Velodrome d’Hiver, a bicycle stadium in central Paris, to await shipment to Auschwitz. After a week with no food or water, some women tried to kill their own children before they were separated and sent to an even worse death. Of the 4,000 children imprisoned in the Velodrome, only six survived the war.

Why is this relevant? Well, perhaps you will find it interesting that the French official in charge of the Vel d’Hiv roundup was Jean Leguay, who later became the head of pharmaceutical company Warner Lambert, which later became….

Pfizer.

“Bizarro World”: Researcher Calls Out Censorship After Journal Pulls COVID-19 Vaccine Adverse Events Analysis (20 Jan)

Jessica Rose didn’t ask for any of this. She started to analyze data on adverse reactions after COVID-19 vaccines simply as an exercise to master a new piece of software. But she couldn’t ignore what she saw and decided to publish the results of her analysis. The next thing she knew, she was in a “bizzarro world,” she told The Epoch Times.

A paper she co-authored based on her analysis was withdrawn by the academic journal Elsevier under circumstances that raised eyebrows among her colleagues. The journal declined to comment on the matter.

Rose received her PhD in computational biology from the Bar-Ilan University in Israel. After finishing her post-doctoral studies on molecular dynamics of certain proteins, she was looking for a new challenge. Switching to a new statistical computing software, she was looking for an interesting data set to sharpen her skills on. She picked the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), a database of reports of health problems that have occurred after a vaccination and may or may not have been caused by it.

She said she wasn’t looking for anything in particular in the data.

“I don’t go in with questions,” she said.

What she found, however, was disturbing to her.

Yup, that’s no surprise. Seeing we’ve been discussing VAERS here, both the incredible explosion in size of the database in a year and the extreme efforts of the medical bureaucracy to avoid frontline health people making reports into it.

And this young lady used it to test her software, like a lamb walking into a lions’ den. Poor kid.

Elsevier, 2009:

News of a Merck-sponsored publication for doctors in Australia, that has come to light in a personal injury lawsuit there over Vioxx, has raised eyebrows in international medical publishing.

From 2002 through 2005, the Australian affiliate of Merck paid the Australian office of Elsevier, an academic publisher, to publish eight compilations of scientific articles under the title Australasian Journal of Bone and Joint Medicine, a spokesman for Elsevier said.

The Merck marketing compilation was unusual in that it looked like an independent peer-reviewed medical journal. It even called itself a “journal,” without indicating in any of the issues that Merck had paid for it.

20,000 doctors got sent the fake “journal” produced by Elsevier for Merck.

When people find out the scale and depth of corruption in the medical health industry it’ll make the post-depression 20th century regulation of finance look like small fry in comparison.

Also related:

Merck made a “hit list” of doctors who criticized Vioxx, according to testimony in a Vioxx class action case in Australia. The list, emailed between Merck employees, contained doctors’ names with the labels “neutralise,” “neutralised” or “discredit” next to them.

The court was told that James Fries, professor of medicine at Stanford University, wrote to the then Merck head Ray Gilmartin in October 2000 to complain about the treatment of some of his researchers who had criticised the drug.

“Even worse were allegations of Merck damage control by intimidation,” he wrote, … “This has happened to at least eight (clinical) investigators

Elsevier Vs Medical Journal of Australia Vs the AMA

In 2015, then editor-in-chief Stephen Leeder was suddenly removed after criticising the decision to outsource production of the journal to the global publishing giant Elsevier.[6] Leerder’s concerns revolved around an incident in 2009 when Elsevier accepted payments from pharmaceutical company Merck & Co. to publish journals such as the Australasian Journal of Bone & Joint Medicine, which had the appearance of peer-reviewed academic works but were in fact promoting Merck.[7][8][9][10] Following the decision to sack Leeder, all but one of the journal’s editorial advisory committee resigned and wrote to Australian Medical Association president Brian Owler asking him to review the decision.[11][12]

all but one of the journal’s editorial advisory committee resigned and wrote to Australian Medical Association president Brian Owler asking him to review the decision.

AMA does what?

“associate professor Brian Owler, who is the president of the Australian Medical Association, parent company of AMPCo”

So the kind and caring AMA owns AMPCo, who run the Australian Medical Journal, and summarily fired the editor of the journal when he criticised the decision to outsource the journal to Elsevier, leading to the entire editorial advisory committee to quit in protest.

My, my isn’t medicine on big cut-throat business!

It was always the Europhile globalist establishment’s intention to delay, impede & overturn the Referendum decision if possible.

The whole EU exit process was designed to leave the way open for re-entry sometime later.

We still pay the EU money, we still obey many of its laws, allow the Euro court powers, & our armed forces are still being absorbed into the EU Defence Union (Army).

The economic & financial crisis that is looming will give them more spurious reasons ro try & reverse the Referendum decision..

The only way to keep Britain out of the EU long-term is for a populist, patriotic political party to hold power in Westminster.

And for the corruption of the globalists to be fully exposed so they are totally discredited with the public.

What a crashing snob.
Went to the local and picked up an idle couple of grand on keno.
Why on earth anyone who would not want to socialise with a charming, well informed, attractive mirror of modesty like my good self is beyond me.
On the downside I was paid in fifties so had to give the missus some money for something nice so I could close my wallet.
It’s true. Good things happen to good people.

Watching a very good 2 part documentary .. THE COWBOY .. which portrays the film evolution of the cowboy from the early days of the cinema thru to TV series and later movies and came across a fascinating tidbit that being a lifelong western addict I’d never heard before …
WYATT EARP spent the latter years of his life in Hollywood and a lot of time on the movie lots where he became a good friend of JOHN FORD, the noted western movie director .. John Ford was the man who introduced and propelled JOHN WAYNE into stardom and so Wayne also got to know Wyatt .. it turns out that due to his association with Earp, John Wayne, actually, modelled his trademark western movie character after the, real-life, Wyatt Earp ..
Excellent series well worth watching if you like your westerns ..

Skin-fold tests would go, the term “physique” would be banned and quotas for women coaches would be implemented. These are some of the recommendations made by an independent report into Swimming Australia’s treatment of girls and women released on Friday.

The report urges SA to modernise its coaching regime to “challenge the misinformed view that lean body mass predicts performance” and to provide “training in using humanising and non-objectifying language in managing body image concerns”.

It should “amend the language in coach education materials to be more inclusive and respectful towards women, for example, remove existing descriptions such as “large thighs” when describing the bodies of female swimmers”.

“Unjustified routine periodic screening must be avoided,” the report said. “Body composition assessment should be conducted at a maximum of twice per annum, unless there is a justified need (for example, monitoring recovery from injury). Compulsory assessments and group settings should be avoided.

SA should demonstrate leadership by “not using or permitting the use of surface anthropometry, specifically skin folds, as a measure of body composition at any stage of a swimmer’s career”.

“SA [should] show cultural leadership by prioritising behavioural standards over a coach’s performance standards,” the report said. “The athletes’ welfare must be the primary driver for coach selection.”

The report said SA needed to streamline the path for women into coaching.

“You can no longer exploit young women and girls, body shame or medically gaslight them and then expect them to represent you so you can earn your annual bonus. Time’s UP,” Groves tweeted. Others backed her up.

The black Irish child wives stolen and married off to wife beating rapacious English colonialists and capitalists solved global warming and the gender pay gap by creating queer friendly biodiesel from organic, local and ethically sourced spuds in the potato factory, of course organised by their progressive, family planning supporting union. ’twas pendulous boozies KD, & a loose sleeveless dress.
She claimed to have walked out a few days before with 2 x two-litre bottles of whisky.
Except for two x 2L bottles having completely disappeared I’d not have given it a second thought.

When I feigned disbelief, she was professionally offended (it seems even shoplifters like to have their expert work recognised) so she demanded to be allowed to demonstrate – with 2 x full two-litre bottles of spirits.
Yep, they fitted, one under each boozie, you’d never know they were there.

Omicron Evades mRNA Booster Protection, South African Study Shows

COVID-19 vaccines initially were trumpeted as a way to prevent people from contracting the CCP virus, and officials had hoped that getting enough people vaccinated would lead to herd immunity, a situation in which the virus would be greatly diminished or even eliminated.

Those hopes haven’t panned out, largely because the vaccines proved increasingly ineffective at preventing infection, even before the emergence of the Omicron variant.

There is about $22bn worth of franked dividends sitting on BHP’s balance sheet looking for a home.

The world’s biggest miner, BHP, has regained its place as the biggest stock in Australia after a unification deal this week that redraws the landscape at the top of the ASX.

After shareholders voted to close down its UK listing, we now have 100 per cent of the miner listed locally. BHP suddenly moves from 6.5 per cent to almost 11 per cent of the entire exchange.

For years BHP and CBA have battled it out to be the No. 1 stock on the ASX. But at a freshly minted level of 10.7 per cent post “unification”, the miner is now unassailable. The rest of the top five are far behind. CBA sits at a little over 7 per cent, CSL 6 per cent, NAB near 4 per cent and ANZ just over 3 per cent.

Does the pecking order at the top of the market matter? Two decades ago, when BHP created its now defunct dual listing in the UK and Australia, the structure was academic. Today, index-driven exchange-traded funds are mandated to mirror market ranking. In the weeks ahead, these funds must lift their holding of BHP from more than 6 per cent to more than 10 per cent in Australia.

In fact, when the deal goes live at the end of the month, there are fears it will cause a technical problem on the market as everyone tries to buy more BHP shares at the same time.

But for BHP investors, this ambitious slice of financial engineering means a lot more. The dimension of the deal that is only beginning to emerge is that the world’s biggest miner has an enormous store of franked dividends ready to be unlocked.

Under the dual-listing arrangement, BHP could not optimise the distribution of these franked dividends, which were of little value of British investors.

Yet BHP is one of the biggest dividend payers in the world – and just now it has about twice as many franked dividends on its balance sheet as a typical blue chip company would retain. In fact, there is about $US16bn ($22bn) worth of franked dividends sitting on the balance sheet looking for a home.

Very soon the big miner is going to get a chance to shower its Australian shareholders with these dividends as it reports in February and happens to be enjoying an exceptionally profitable phase of the commodities cycle.

Twenty two billion dollars – “Sliante!”

captured prey and hunting disasters

yeah well, my Friday ended with a meeting and both the other ‘blokes’ were compulsively pulling up their masks.
triple jabbed, the pair of ’em
one even told stories of how they made a day out of going to get his 10yo vaccinated

‘captured prey and hunting disasters’ pretty much summed it up.

#Pandemic #fraud #exposed: #CDC admits #PCR #tests don’t work https://bit.ly/3qohhGJ

so if 97% of PCR tests are false positives, then wu-flu has an IFR nearing 10%. Right srr?

this is the paper ultimately referenced, and as far as I can see on a cursory read, it says no such this about false positivity rates.

Hey BoN
Young Sacred Kingfisher saved from the cats last night. Missing some feathers on one wing but seems OK. Young bird I’m guessing because of the feather development.
What do we do to keep it going until it can fly?

Dire warnings that the SA west coast and Ceduna areas could receive decade or century record breaking rains.
Not sure that this would overly concern the desert like regions, the bar isn’t too high. Might be a bit of celebration, apart from fly strike in sheep and ruined dry feed.

I think Dirk Hartog made an early and correct assessment of WA.
If you can lock yourself away from the rest of the world for two years, then the chances are you’re not of any interest to the rest if the world.

1616 On 25 October arrived the ship Eendracht, of Amsterdam: Supercargo Gilles Miebais of Liege, skipper Dirch Hatichs of Amsterdam. on 27 d[itt]o. she set sail again for Bantam. Deputy supercargo Jan Stins, upper steersman Pieter Doores of Bil. In the year 1616.[4]
Finding nothing of interest, Hartog continued sailing northwards along this previously uncharted coastline of Western Australia
